Whew...what a day.....

Ryan's box is packed....along with a PJ shirt that says "This is my Holiday Sweater"....Packing Alyssa's box in the am....that should get them both thru exam week.

Got some presents wrapped.
Now gotta fix dinner before starting work.....

Forgot to ask.....just curious?? What do all of these travelling husbands do for work???

And can they take mine for a while????

 HI ALL!!!!!!! I love the new digs...wish I had time to stay and visit...but I have to jet out again.

Hi Y'all-Y'alls  I'll read the thread and ketchup tomorrow. However, I'm home and glad to be back!!!

Nancy, the automated is only nice when I go to send a package during the off hours. The lobby is pretty much always open so I can send out packages at midnight if needed ::yes::
Have fun tomorrow baking! I was thinking of doing the same, but no one here to eat :p

Paula, I bet they'll love their packages.
Luis is an IT guy. He rarely has to travel out of state for anything (well he's gone to Indiana before, but still that was as day trip) but once in a while they have server issues they need taken care of. In this case a server went down and they needed 3, 300 pound servers brought to Columbus area. The only place that had extras were Decatur. Since they are so big and so imporant, they can't air ship them. Ground would take too long, so he was volunteered to drive. Well he had the choice. Like if he had to be home tonight, they would've found someone else to do it (probably Luis' boss) but no need for him to stay, so he went. If we were closer to Alabama, he could've gone to and from in a day. Last I heard though, he was in TN.

:wave2: Hi Kristy

:wave2: Howdy Alan! Glad to have you back :)

No one here to eat either, Elaine :p
They will all go into the freezer until time to distribute.

Dave is an applications engineeer. He is at a trade show of some kind right now. He visits customers sometimes too. Trying to get them to use the chip his company makes. He shows them how to implement it into their product. Then he usually travels with a salesman too ;)
LOL....yep, when you have been married this long, the trips are kind of nice ;)
No cooking, the house stays clean and neat.

Welcome home, Alan. Is everyone well now?

Ah... no will power here though Nancy. I'd eat them anyway :p

I have to admit, usually I welcome Luis traveling. I like my space now and then. I actually kicked him and my dad away on Friday at the MK so I could get on the Astro Orbiter myself. For whatever reason I just wanted to be alone. Just after yesterday with Christmas stuff, I wanted him with me today to help decorate. I suppose that'll wait.

Not sure what to eat right now. I know I should get something, but nothing is sounding *really* good to me right now.

Wow! I think all the "yackie" people are back :rotfl: I had like 2 1/2 pgs to read thru and that's just from this a.m. :teeth:
Lainey-I'm always a little (ok alot) sad when I first come home from WDW too. So that probably does has something to do with you feeling a little blue about Luis having to be gone. At least it's not for too terribly long.
Nancy- Thanks for the scoop on the Disney Treasures. Think I might have to check that out. Any fudge yet? :teeth:
Paula- Those chocolate pretzels sure do sound yummy. I had one while at WDW. And my Sparklin' Mickey Night Light sure looks neat!
Tara- Yep, I think you forgot the cake. Probably a good thing tho' that might have just put you over the edge. Hairy eyeball :rotfl: I love that.
DS is here with a friend doing Math homework. They are doing fractions and asked if I had to use fractions at work. I told him no so he's decided he needs to come to work for me LOL.
Lily-Thanks for the recipe. They ARe alot like our raviolis. Only the filling my dad made was a mixture of: hamburger, cooked spinach and just enough cream cheese to bind it together. Wow, brought back memories of making those with my dad many moons ago. I may have to get my sisters together and give those a try. Our last attempt at making an old family recipes didn't quite turn out so good tho'.
:wave2: Bethie, I can totally relate to the getting back into the work thing. This would have been my first whole week back at work but, since Lainey suggested I not push it I asked for a 1/2 day off on Fri. to get some shopping done. Thanks Lainey! :goodvibes
Welcome back Alan. :wave2:
Pam - great deal on the sweater and thanks for the tip on the VS sweater.
Now get to the deadline work and quit procrastinating says the "Queen of Procrastination!"
Oh and anyone watching the VS Fashion Show tonight??????????? I'm thinking it might not be such a good idea since I've been on the binge lately and feelin' a little chubby it might just make me
Oh well, later gators..........................

Hi gang,

Nancy...glad Dave got to check out our beach. I was supposed to be going down there for a weekend in Feb. but it may not happen now :( The person who is putting it together never got back to Astrid so we many not be able to do it!

RM...I'd take any job I didn't have to have fractions for too!!! Thank goodness my computer works in decimals and the 'puter is pretty darn good at it too.

Elaine...you sneated on me earlier...well you posted after me but at the exact same time!! GMTA!!!

Kristy...how's it going??? Stop by more often!

Alan...welcome home! I'm sorry i didn't get to see you and your gang again. Maybe next time I'll plan a little better!!!

I don't know if I told you all (well, I started a thread about it but apparently no one read it :( ) but I left my camera battery charger in my room when we checked out. It was still plugged into the wall next to tv cabinet. So Sunday night I called CBR and they put me in touch with Lost and Found. I left a message and really didn't think I would hear back. Well, they called yesterday and it was found and turned in so they are shipping it back to me free of charge!!

But I realized tonight I left something else in Florida........3 Pounds!!!!!! Woohoo!! I went to WDW for 11 days and ate everything I wanted including desserts and I lost 3 pounds!!! I need more vacations like that!!

Okay, gotta check the school email and then do some work. I'll see you all later!!

tara

Tara, I missed that before... you sure did sneat in on me! I'd help you out with decorations but I was slumpy today and didn't do a dang thing on mine
But yes, GMTA! Perfect timing on the posting :teeth: I was thinking like you. maybe next year I will plan that one a little better, but oh well. We had a lot of fun this time around. We did a lot of what we wanted to do and had great company at all times :)

I am trying to upload pictures, but it seems like I have a LOT to upload. Slow going ;)

Rose Mary, so glad you are taking a 1/2 day on Friday. No one should ever have to work a full week after vacation. Glad you are getting your charger back! I love it when hotels are like that! I did that once and a comfort inn actually sent my cell phone charger back to me free of charge. I love service like that.

I probably should call OKW tomorrow though... looks like we left something behind in our room too

Just a quick goodnite post.....

Thanks for the hubby info - ...Elaine when you said a "server was down" all I could think of was a waiter - hahahha. My husband is a designer for a civil engineering firm so he just sits at his computer all day long - he did however have a very good annual review today!!

:wave2: Hellooooooo Kristy...
Welcome home Alan and clan!!
Rosemary....so glad that Mickey is sparkling your night!! No thank you on the fractions...boycotting the Fashion Show too.....I think Tara's 2 pounds that she thinks she left at WDW found there way to my doorstep!!

Any llama lovers here?? Alyssa sent me the cutest holiday llama e-mail that she made for me- PM my your e-mail address and I'll forward.

Guess it's bed time......night all........

Evening, all!

These hours are for the birds! At least there's only a few weeks of them left.

Paula, my first thought was "A Llama? He's supposed to be DEAD!" from Emperor's new groove.

Those of you who left stuff at WDW-it's your subconcious telling you that it doesn't want to leave. My DH, long before he became my DH, seemed to have a knack for leaving stuff behind when he came to visit me and the ex!

Tara, congrats on leaving some excess baggage behind!

Hi Kristy!

Lily, thanks for the pierogi recipe! That's something to do on Sunday.

Speaking of Sunday, the inlaws will be flying down here then! Woohoo!

Pam and Lainey, want some sweaters? LOL. People buy them for me and I don't wear them-way too hot.

Gonna get some sleep. Hoping that Ed doesn't get called into work so I can sleep in, but hoping he does get called because we need the bucks.

You're such a good Mom!! :goodvibes

I sent my kiddo Spongebob Christmas jammies, candy, and a Spongebob game that you plug into the TV.

Yesterday I mailed her Disney Princess paper dolls! :teeth:

She really stresses during finals week. :guilty: She has that perfection streak in her - definitely doesn't get that from either me or her Dad!

It's a cold, cold day here in the neighborhood. :cold: Lily was gracious enough to send us some of those HUGE snowflakes they were showing on the Weather Channel. Thanks, Lily.

Off to get a hair cut and sneak in a Sam's Club visit.

Stay warm, stay safe, and stay happy.
Peace out... :love2:

Morning all! I was just watching a DVD this morning... too lazy to sit at my computer until now!

Paula, not sure whta happenes to my Yahoo messenger. I got your message but when I try to log back in nothing happens  I'll PM you my e-mail though so I can see it! We have a llama festival here every year in Ohio :teeth:

LOL, Suzanne, i don't wear a ton of sweaters, but sometimes it does get so dang cold here that they are nice. I don't know why anyone would buy you them living in FL now!

Pammy, cold and yucky here too. Snow as well. Which means of course I'll worry about Luis driving home. He's in a big van and honestly, he's not the best driver in bad weather.

But he is on his way home :goodvibes: Left Alabama about 2 hours ago :)

Morning all....

Alyssa called late last night - seems as though a student in her quad committed suicide- she was very sad....

Cleaning and laundry this morning - post office and Target this afternoon...and dealing with a not-so-little boy who went waaaay over on his cell phone bill.......

I wish I could send all of you this llama thing - I am still smiling over it.

Suzanne....Demon LLama....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!! (***** Kronk's New Groove - next week!!)
Pam - Happy hair cut - I have an appt tomorrow.

Hugs all around....

Good morning gang,

I'm sitting here wishing I was back in WDW. It is too dang cold here. The ground was covered in frost, had to clean off the car, and put the heat on high to warm up. Of course now my nose is dried out and I can't breathe!! oh well!!

Suzanne...I think you got a point there with the leaving of items there so we have to go back. I've heard of women leaving things at their man's house so they could mark their territory....maybe that is what we are doing!!

Nancy...I meant to ask you last night...can you give me the recipe for your cut out cookies. Mine never work right. I use a sugar cookie recipe and I always end up making a big ole mess. Jarrod told me this morning that he wants to make cookies on Christmas Eve for Santa Claus!! So I told him we would! I was planning on doing it anyway, but now he has a specific day he wants to do it!

Anyone available to come take care of a 5 year old and an 18 month hold on Saturday??? I need to get my Santa shopping done and my babysitter is having surgery on Friday and won't be able to walk on Saturday. Mom and I wanted to do like we did before kids and take the whole day to go shopping and out to lunch. :( Looks like that won't be happening!!

Off to look through some school catalogs to find some phonics materials. I'm having trouble coming up with stuff on my own to teach the phonics so I need to spend school money to get some stuff!!

talk to you all later!
tara

Paula and Elaine sneeted on me..

Paula that is terrible about the student in Alyssa's quad. I hope they have some counseling for the studnts that are still there. that's terrible :(

Elaine...I just startled my students when I let this hoot when I read the part about Luis and his driving!!! too funny!!

tara

Tara.....what time would I have to get up to be there on time Saturday morning????

Thanks for the kind words for Alyssa....in her words"it's so sad mom that someone would feel so desterpate - we are all so lucky to have the opportunity to be here",,,,,,that's my thoughtful kid.

paula....not sure how long a trip it is but you can crash over night if you want to!!! hehehe I'll even make the dog move and share the couch!!!

tara

Good morning.

Sad about the student, Paula :(

Garage door day
Cookie baking day....and maybe fudge. Rose Mary seems to be getting a bit impatient :rotfl: Walnut, plain or cranberry-pecan??

I've been watching a few DVDs lately too, Elaine. But Dave is due back today also and then my control of the big TV will be gone :rotfl:
