Hi all! We're home!!! I'll obviously catch up later!

I did miss wishing Kimmie, Beth and Tina (if you are lurking) a Happy Birthday!

The week was great in general, but illness struck part of the group on Weds & Thursday. It wasn't until Friday evening that I was feeling better. Stomach stuff so I was kind of yuck especially Thursday. But I have lots of pics I'll look through.

It was nice to accidentally bump into a few of y'all when I did, and Karen, my dad enjoyed the ride with you :teeth:

Will read more later :wave2:

:wave2:

I'm pooped (can we write that? ;) )

2 trees....one little, one reg. They are up. Lights are one.
Cookies are done....didn't get to the fudge...my back is protesting.
Made double batches of Easy Peanut Butter Blossoms and Gingersnaps.
Geoff's are in the freezer. Christin's are boxed up for her tomorrow.
I don't want dinner because I think I had enough cookies

Why is it that I cannot resist sales at Kohls?? I innicently went in to pay on my charge....came out with a fleece winter throw (for me) - a sweater for my other in law - hallmark ornament - and magnetic dart board for Chris.

Paula, that would be me and NY&Co, lol.

Been crazy busy around here. The two super long days caught up to me and my bed has been calling. I'm thinking of getting a soak in the tub in a few minutes. I get another long day tomorrow (8 to 8), but then I don't need to be back to work until 9pm Monday, so it's almost like having a day off.

My Saturday day care provider now has an opening for the boys during the week! :cool1: She is such a doll, the kids love going to her and it'll be so much nicer for Ed in the next month to not drive like a madman on the days he works to get to her in time, since she's a lot more flexible with times (most of her day kids are there till 7 or 7:30). Her place is a much better enviornment for Neil-not chaotic and loud.

Gotta get my stuff for my exchangee wrapped, I've been otherwise occupied.

Lainey, glad you got home safely. Sorry I didn't get to see you this time-work intruded.

Karen, sorry I didn't get to see you, either. Hope your Jellyrolls meet was fun.

Nancy, cookies contain dairy and grains-what could be bad about that? ;) If people eat donuts for breakfast, what difference is it that you had cookies for dinnoer?

TTFN, I'm sure I'll be around a bit on Monday after I complete my to do's. I feel so flaky lately that I made a list on the laptop. CRS must be setting in!

Suzanne

Lily,

Can I have some pierogies? Please? Very dear friends of my parents owned a polish restaurant and Auntie Jeanne would send fresh ones to me and little sis every once in a while. I had Mrs.T's a while back...

Better yet, if you would PM the recipe! :) That would make my budding chef (and fellow pierogie fan) very happy!

Suzanne

Morning Ya Yas!
Been up a couple of hours, just looking at the lovely 6 inches of snow here. It is really beautiful if you don't have to go out in it. I will have to TM my little self for more miles than I will care to think.

RM Pierogis are like your raviolis sort of. We make mostly potato or cabbage for our meal. Potato was the order for yesterday.

Suzanne, we have a "no fail" recipe for the dough and it really works. I have to find the recipe to input that in the computer. It's one of the many I lost way back.

Morning all! I'd love the 6" of snow! We had ice & snow instead!

I think it's time to go back and see what I missed while gone :)

Good morning all...woke up to light snow this morning....Chris brought 2 friends home last night - they are all still sleeping - Hubby going to the football game today - Pats vs. Jets - with 2 of his brothers - he's preparing for the ritual now!!

Welcome home Elaine - so sorry to hear that you had a tummy ailment.
Lily - I've never tried perogies....do you eat them with any type of sauce ?? or plain??
Suzanne - hurray for the new daycare plan!! Nothing like feeling secure with who's keeping our kids!!
Nancy - slow down will you?? You are making the rest of us look bad....
Rosemary - now you've got me laughing about my husband in the tree....actually yesterday morning he witness a real Bambi story....(insert image of Bami's losing his mama) - I almost cried when he told me - says he watched the "lost babies" for over a half hour.

Well - I did it - I went to church with my dad last night - it was nice - I only got teary eyed towards the end - but I made it thru - I have to call and talk with my priest tomorrow. Took a slip for the giving tree - have to shop for a baby girl this week.

I have a vacation day today so I think I will start decorating...I usually put up a small tree that I decorate with Alyssa's Barbie ornaments (my dad buys her the Hallmark one every year)- since we toook the big speakers out of the living room I'm not sure where I'll put it this year - if I have to it will go in her bedroom. Too early for a real tree - probably next weekend. Alyssa comes home on the 21st - I have that day off so I will ride up with Jeffrey to pick her up.

Not much else going on here today....ran out of Starbucks coffee so I am starting the day with Southern Comfort flavored coffee .....not sure how good of an iidea that is!!

More later...hugs all around......

Good morning.

Welcome home, Elaine.
You sneated on me last night...I really wasn't ignoring you ;)

I love peirogies....yumm...potato please (not so sure about cabbage  ).

Christin is coming over today to hang ornaments. I rarely get to see her anymore, so this is a good day :sunny:
She may come over next Sunday also to go tree chopping :)

Okay, I read through everything now...

But please don't expect me to catch up in text now :p

Moving on though... I've had perogies befoer... cheese & potato are good!

Paula, have fun decorating! I hope to do some of that tomorrow :)

Nancy same with you too! Enjoy the time with Christin.

I will be working on wrapping up my exchange today. I have my last gift I bought on Friday night. I'll be unpacking that today and getting everything else together.

Welcome Home, Lainey! :cool1:

Waiting for DH to get his butt home so we can go chop down a tree.....

DS has a Jazz Band Concert this afternoon and DD is going to watch the Steelers game. We need to do this NOW and he's late. Grrrr....

Anyone want to help me unpakc and start prepping for Christmas?

I am going to shower now and then get my package ready for sending. I should get that and all my Christmas cards out tomorrow. I really feel so bad for waiting until THE last day, but kind of hard to send while at WDW

I'll be back later on and in a few days I am sure I will be around as much as usual :)

Elaine, Welcome back. Sorry you weren't feeling well. Looking forward to your pics.

Paula, glad that you made it through the service ok. Great idea to have your Dad with you. Enjoy the decorating.

Nancy, the cabbage pierogis are like a cabbage and noodles only the noodle is wrapped around the cabbage. :teeth: You did a massive amount of work decorations and cookies. Whew!

Suzanne, great news on the kids care provider. It is nice that they like the place. Comforting to you I'm sure.

Nothing else just now. I put in lots and lots on the TM. Watched IRobot all of it and read a bit over a quarter of Three to Get Deadly (Evanovich). It got quite difficult at the end but I did it and am proud. Sitting after dinner we had roasteed chicken pieces, stuffing, cranberries, and spinach salad. I'm stuffed. Got clothes going and a couple more loads to finish. Gonna relax some too.

Hey All,

Welcome Home Elaine. Sorry you and some of the gang werent feeling well. Tummy bug or did yall get something bad at one of the resturants??

Perogis YUMMMMMMM. I would love the recipe also Lily. Good going on the treadmill today!!!

No snow here ROFL!!! Did church today came home for a bit and then did hanging of the green at the church. Dufus me thought it was yesterday and we actually showed up at the church too. We helped get ready for parents night out though so it wasnt wasted. Figured out what made dh sick yesterday. Dh is very very sensative to nitrates and we had forgotten that bacon is full of them. He got the stomach thing then got the migraine which is usually how it happens with him. NO MORE bacon for him again. Thankfully he was better by yesterday afternoon. I gave him something for his tummy and he took something for the migraine.

Paula how ya doing with the JD coffee?? hehehehehehehe Making decorating any easier?? hehehehehehe.

Well I better let ds use the computer so he can type up the poem he wrote for his literature class. I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Sorry, Lily. I don't do cooked cabbage ;)
But I like the potato and cheese.

Trees are decorated :teeth:
One light string went out  I hate that. Will deal with it tomorrow.

Got a 7 ft. Blue Spruce today. It's sitting out on the porch.

Jazz Band concert was wonderful! :goodvibes

Off to watch Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy.

Hello, Ya Ya family!! Got home yesterday, but just haven't had time to sit at the computer. Moving rather slowly too cuz I pulled muscles in both thighs doing the chicken dance at Jellyrolls. But the laundry is done, work schedule checked on and we did the pre-move walk-thru of our new place this afternoon! Sooooooo excited to be moving, even if it is during the holiday season!! After getting the keys, we wandered around trying to decide where to put the furniture and then had a bit of fun playing with the garage door remote. If I wasn't so sore, I think I'd be putting up the Christmas decorations over there right now!!

Had a wonderful week at WDW, although Dave finally succumbed to the nasty cold he'd been fighting off recently. Took a cab Thursday morning and went to Walgreens for some drugs for him, so he perked up enough for our last 2 days. It was soooooo much fun meeting up with RM, Tara and family, Suzanne and Ed, Elaine, Luis, Elaine's dad and the Alabamalan Clan. Sorry to hear some of ya'll were under the weather too.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, too! I had a super day--breakfast with Pooh and friends, collected autographs and pix from all the characters in Toontown and everywhere else we found them, then had dinner at Liberty Tree for the first time. It was great and MVMCP was extra special with the new Christmas Wishes fireworks show. THAT was positively SPECTACULAR!!! I finally beat Dave on the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, so all in all, it was a GREAT birthday! Went to the Candlelight Processional on Wednesday and it was just as moving as ever. Phil Donahue doesn't look like he's aged at all over the last 10 years or so. Ran into Dan Murphy that day, too, and were able to have a nice chat with him. Friday, we had dinner at Ohana's with our Jellybean and John and some of the Jellyroll's crowd. We were a bit on the rowdy side since we all got leid  but they invited us to come back any time! Really had a great time there, you'll have to ask John about his pineapples...... The Jellyrolls meet was an absolute blast with flashing rings, light-up piano pins, turkey pins, singing spoons and a packed house to go with the fabulous music! Sadly, our week had to come to an end and to make matters worse, the airline moved our flight up a whole hour and 10 minutes earlier! WDW came thru, though, getting us on an earlier Magical Express bus with no trouble, so we made it to MCO in time to get home safe and sound.

Still need to catch up on our sleep, though. I'm thinking our age is catching up with us. So, I'll be saying nighty-night now, ya'll have a great evening!!

hi gang,
We are home. Not ketching up now.

I'm so glad that we all got to meet up with each other!!!

My package will not make it out tomorrow. I'll get it off on Tuesday. Sorry! But I have the cold that everyone else had and my head is about to exploed. NOte to mention my computer won't download my pictures. grrr!!!

so with that, good night all!!

tara

Back from church and about to get ready for sleep. I think I am going to throw a load of laundry in the wash though... I just have other such stuff to do tomorrow. Not looking forward to it all.

I did get pretty much all my holiday shopping done. I just hve to do my grandparents and push Luis to do his parents. Then that's it!

Lily, I'll work on the pics too. I have looked through all 1100 or so of them but haven't picked ones to post/share yet.

Paula, good luck :teeth:

Karen, given how it moved through a group where we didn't even share a meal until after the fact, but hung out at times together, I'd have to say it was a bug. Started with Abigail and hit a couple of us at various levels a few days later (pretty much the same time too).

Nancy, glad you got your tree lit! Good luck with the lights, that was always my favorite thing to do. Yep, I liked to find that *one* bulb :teeth:

Yay for the good concert, Pam & for the tree too!

Welcome home Bethie! I felt awful for forgetting to call on your birthday, but it was a heck of a day there at WDW that day :( Sorry about Dave too, but glad he perked up later!

Welcome back Tara!!! Glad you made it home safely!!!

Well I need to get moving on the laundry if I actually want it all done now. feel a wee bit stressed home again wondering how I am going to get all the Christmas stuff done in time. I just don't handle holidays well I guess

Good Morning YaYa land!
Welcome back all returnees. Sorry to hear about the little bug that bit ya'll.
Finally got the decorations on the tree and even wrapped a few presents. Gonna try to finish up the shopping Tues. (have to wait for a couple DVD's to come out).
Better get a move on and hit the road. Hope everyone has a wonderful day! puckerup: :rose:
