On Golden Pond :)

I clicked iinto the the thread and came to the last post and though I had stumbled on to the movie game thread or something!! :lmao: Had to look and see where I had landed!

Glad to see that I'm a lovable dork!!! :teeth:

You know you talk too much about drinking when you make a drinking comment jokingly and people think you are serious!!! :lmao: hehehe We weren't really drinking the other night (well diet pepsi b/c that's all Panera had..yuck!) but it sounds better than I was so tired I forgot what the heck I was doing the night before!! hehehehe

It is very quiet here this morning...Ethan wanted his binky and wouldn't sit on my lap (that's the only time I get to cuddle him) so I put him in his playpen with his binky and he is happy as a little clam. Jarrod is still at his dad's house and I'm getting time to dis in peace!! Now if I can get the kid to take a nap so that I can take a nap..life would be perfect!!!

Going back to Wally World to return a clock radio I bought. i was looking at in the store and I dropped it but thought it was fine. I got home to find it was cracked... So I have to take it back today. I should have handed it to the person working the floor and said you might want to check this I just dropped it, but it didn't feel broken through the paper. Anyway, I didn't like how it worked and would be difficult for Jarrod to get to play when he wanted to just listen to music. So I'm gong to Toys R Us today and buy him a kid version so that it will stand up to being tossed around!!

Have a gret day all!!
tara

Hi y'all.. back from lunch and church... feel like relaxing and taking it easy for a while :)

Pam, sorry if I missed the quesiton before, but yep, I got to pick and we went to Cosí for lunch. Today we went to a Greek place that I wasn't all that keen on. The Gyros were way too greasy!
Enjoy your time with your DD! I hope she enjoys the time off!

Nancy, I do hope you enjoy your play :)

LOL, Tara, you sure you haven't continued to drink today? :p Sorry I couldn't resist! Good luck exchanging the clock today for one you like better!

Not sure why but I am just kind of tired today. I think the cold weather is getting to me again.

Enjoy hte day all, I'll check back later!

You went to COSI instead of Cheesecake Factory or even Abuellos? Shame shame

Yo, back. Do I know ye, Matey??? :confused3

Nancy - have fun at the play! :) DS is down at Pittsburgh watching Wicked right now.

Tara - I didn't say anything about your drinking reference..... :rolleyes1 ;)

I have to head to the grocery store - blech.....

Afternoon, all!

Icing the foot after a short work day. Then we're heading over to the strawberry festival.

Wedding was beautiful, but some :confused3 things. Bride and groom are both Catholic, so it would stand to reason that most of their families would be and would know something about the ceremony. Nope, even my non catholic husband knew the response to "this is the gospel of the Lord".

I did score an awesome picture. So nice that I quit while I was ahead. I'm going to send it over to Costco via the online, pick it up and frame it for them. See?

The best part was spending time with my fun coworkers out of work!

I'll second that about Tiara being lovable!

Pammy, have a chocolate covered cherry blizzard for me, 'kay?

Nancy, enjoy the play. Great movie.

Lainey, no likey Greek?

Paula, did you enjoy your evening with Dad?

Back later.

Suzanne

Suzanne,
Very nice photo! :thumbsup2 Glad you had fun last night at the wedding!

DH actually had a chocolate covered cherries blizzard last night. I had Strawberry Shortcake - yum.

I'm not a fan of Blizzards - although I did spy a new flavor on the board last night - Choc dipped strawberries. That sounds delish!

I still haven't made it to the grocery store yet.

Of course... I am such a bad person... but sadly the only Cheesecake Factory isn't anywhere near where we go to church..... plus very hard to seat 15 or so. I love CF!!!

Pam, you think you'll ever make it there? :p I really don't like going that much myself

Suzanne, way cool pic there! That is odd that the family didn't know anything. Oh and I likey Greek... I jsut didn't likey that Greek ;)

Spent a lot of time just hanging out with Luis and finishing a belt I was making. Going to eat left overs for supper then off to choir. Fun stuff :p

Cool pic Suzanne.

Hi new guy!

Elaine, sorry lunch wasn't up to your standards!!

Dinner here was good! Buffalo wings! yummy!!

Headed to the shower so i can go work out in the morning...don't want to go in with enough funk to make people think I'd already been working out!!

good night gang!!
tara

Back from church... DIS is really sloooooooooow right now for me.

I can tell my sinuses still aren't that great so I will have to do more yuck stuff... makes singing fun. Voice cracked a couple of times :teeth:

Tara, good luck with the work out tomorrow!

I'm tired... off to bed :wave2:

Hey there! Sheesh. What a weekend!

That's a beautiful wedding photo Suzanne! I really like the colors.

DS is seeing Wicked Pam!? Wah! I'm jealous! Can't wait to see it!! Well, I guess I CAN wait, since I sorta HAVE to, but... I'd rather not.

Howdy 4GBLC, ding ding...

Chris has a short do now! Wooo! Glad to hear everyone is happy with it Paula! I'm hoping for more Yahoo time this week, will you be around? My weekend was nuts! Every time I sat down to 'puter, it seemed I got called away within minutes. Urgh!

Elaine got Lucky!! Woooo!!! :p Aren't they wonderful!? So comfy!

Poor voice, Elaine. Rest it well. Sounds like it needs a little vacation.

Did you see him on Ellen, Kimmar!? :p

The red box is adorable Nancy! They're not my first pick for a car either, but I have to admit, the red is really cute!

Alan, how is Rebecca's grandmother? I hope all is going well for her.

Did you go to the strawberry festival Suzanne?

No Jack for Tara! Good news!!

Nancy your Vegas photos are great! It looks like a fun place! Gotta go there someday!

I was thinking of redoing her sentence to make it "better" Along the lines of "My butt, that is a lovely picture " and make it seem liek she can't stand his pics anymore
 Leave my butt outta this!

Birthday greetings to Julian!!

...annnnd now I'm being paged for dinner. This should be my last night without a sink and dishwasher. Wooo! That means dinner at my house instead of the inlaws. First time in a month or more. Hope I can remember how to burn stuff!!

Play was very good...so funny. Now that I am older, I can relate more :rotfl:

Watched the Oscars :teeth:

Dave called.....was at Epcot for IL....nothing like rubbing it in
And he doesn't have to work tomorrow, so he is playing again ...lucky guy. Means work won't pay for his room tonight, but oh well. It's only money and I bought new cookware while he is gond

Evening, all.

Soak in the tub was supposed to make me sleepy, but here I am. I got roped into going in at 8am(ack!) on my day off to take care of some stuff that HAS to be done. What can I say? I'm good at it. I do have a time limit-podiatrist at 10, so I have to be out by 9:30.

Strawberry festival was very nice. About the size of our beloved county fair back in MD. We did not consume one single strawberry! I do believe my men are spoiled by *homemade* whipped cream on their shortcake, lol. We did have a host of fair food, though. Even stuffed to the gills, we'd smell stuff and want it. I need to upload, but I got some great pics of the boys on the rides and the requisite goofball picture of the husband.

Gotta say that between all the icing and the soak in the tub, the foot's the best it's been in a long time. We'll see how it goes.

Newbie, might you be a lil someone from our past? :teeth:

Nancy, he's being sooooo mean, calling you from Epcot! What's one night hotel stay-it's not like he's staying concierge at the GF, right? Cookware, huh? Anything good?

Kimmy, you do know there was a show on Food Network "How to Boil Water", right? If you're going to be in that kitchen, watch it, and avoid damaging all the pretty new stuff!! :rotfl2:

Pam, chocolate covered strawberries does sound good. Basically, cover any fruit in chocolate and it's good to go!

Tara, too funny about the diet coke. Actually have a coworker that gets 'speeded up' on Gatorade, so I could see a reaction to the soda. It's amusing to see.

A funny from tonight. My bottomless pit children hadn't had enough food-a hot dog, ice cream and pretzels were NOT enough. Not to mention Neil bogarting half my roasted corn on the cob. I got a chicken shish kebab and they both descended on me like vultures. It was like ducks when they know you've got the bag of bread-they recognize the wonder bag!

Anyway, Neil, in his 'not quite sure of the right thing to say' mode, says "Mom this is the best shish kebab I've ever had. it's even better than yours!" I took it in the spirit that I knew he meant-he really liked it, enough to not turn his nose up at it if I made it. I recognized the flavor-it was straight Yoshida's. Sooooo, I pulled a Supermom routine and told them I could make the exact same skewers for dinner tomorrow. :teeth:

Elaine....this is the last year for GS, atleast for Mandy. I am going to try to start Awanas at our church in August. It is like Christian GS, you have a vest/shirt and earn badges, crowns, etc. My niece may still be in it. If there is a specific cookie you want I can still try to get some here. They are still selling at the stores and I think Mandy's troop has some left to sell. Totally understand the sinus thing...mine is acting up, has been for about a week. Not sure what the deal is.

The weekend was nice...except for the SIL again. She just doesn't know when to give up. It almost started all over again on the pizza. Then I try to call Todd as I was returning from my friend's church to tell him to start getting ready to leave...phone line is busy. SIL decides she must get on her laptop at MILs. It was MILs b-day celebration. The come without a gift, leave to get one and have MIL watch their 2 yr old. What a b-day for MIL. Still don't understand why they both have to go shopping. Oh, well. I think I am going to try to avoid them as much as possible. Getting too irriated and they aren't worth my time.

Have a great week everyone!

HI gang....Happy Monday....

Dinner with Dad saturday night was very nice - came home and watched "Junebug" ...it was .....different. Jeffrey thoroughly enjoyed the wild game dinner - it was at the soprtsman's club where he used to be a member so he saw alot of old friends - ate good food- had a great time.

Yesterday I worked 7am - 1pm - my dad visited in the afternoon - watched "Goodfellas" last night with Jeffrey and Chris.

It appears the haircut is having positive results - yesterday Chris applied 6 places for jobs - he is going to apply at the golf course today after school. He came home a bit upset yeesterday - he was doing work for his friends dad that owns a construction company - plastering - didn't realize that he had wet plaster on him when he got in the car - or I should say my car - so I guess it's all over the seat. I remaoned calm (even though it's the only new car I have over owned in my life....) - told him I was sure it was not intentional and not to sorry about it.....picking my battles.

Alyssa reports that she had a great weekend in Connecticut - they went to see Freedomland - she really liked it.

OK - 1 question before I ketchup.... I need wardrobe advice.....never thought I'd say this but I am a frump....working from home has taken it's toll - so...I am trying to lose a few pounds but no reason why I can't look good in the meantime - I'm just wondering where do my 40-something sistas shop?? I need to "update" stop wearing my kids hand-me -downs.....even if I have to but a bigger size for a while I'm willing - just to look and feel better...any suggstions/????????

Suzanne - :thumbsup2 beautiful picture - it will make a wonderful gift!! What time will the chicken kabobs be ready ? I have to work at 6pm and don't want to miss them...
Amanda - sorry about the continued in-law woes....sometimes it is better to stay away for a while....
Kama...hope to see you on Yahoo
Elaine - how are the sinuses??
Pam - please let me know how your DS liked Wicked.....Alyssa loved it....I must confess I'm still struggling thru the book.
Tara - any luck with the clock radio? Chris' first clock radio was the Nickelodeon one.....very very loud!!
Alan - hope all went well this wekend with Rebecca's grandma
Nancy - can't wait to hear about new cookware....

More later.......
