I have visions of getting a photoshopped card, with the following:
One yawning child
one son rolling his eyes (or cross eyed)
one son with mouth opened and eyes closed
and one where his face cannot be seen!

Suzanne
LOL, you are probably right! I think that would be cute actually ::yes::

Howdy Kristy

teeny vent... don't go on a support thread to put down the choices people make for their children and claim a certain procedure is mutilation & only done for vanity and the like when a hormonal new mom just was discussing how hard it was on her to watch (traditional for a bris). Then when people call you on it, ignore the facts of religion and post an article that is very skewed to further make your point. Poor taste IMO.

Morning!

LOL, Suzanne. That would be a great card. :teeth:

Elaine, sorry choir took so long.

Hi Kristy!

Not sure yet about nephew.

Morning....they are calling for a winter advisory here...snow is on the way, so of course my head hurts today and I want to just go home.

Elaine...didn't you know that everyone on the DIS knows it all:rolleyes1 I rarely start a thread and usually only post to 1 or 2 a day, if that. It just isn't worth it for the most part.

Sherry...I'm not doing photo cards, just 4X6 pictures this year. I usually like to have 2 or 3 that I randomly send out, I'll be lucky to get 1.:guilty:

Tonight Mandy is having her basketball team over for pizza and soda. There is one girl who is a bit wild on the court, hope my house doesn't get destroyed:rolleyes1

Have a terrific Friday everyone!

Morning all! Luis thinks he found a way for Dom to go down "easily" at night by himself. Hopefully he'll teach me :p

Sherry, hope you get another day off with out the nephew!

Amanda, hope the weather there isn't too bad. We won't be seeing any of that until tonight/tomorrow.
I agree with you on the know it alls. Sadly this was the mom's to be thread that I've been a part of for a long time. More or less everyone let her have it and said what she did was wrong. We don't all have to agree, but there are tactful ways of doing things and she sure missed the boat on that one.

I might take Luis' car out today and run some errands. It's been over 2 weeks now and I want to gently try to get back into driving and walking again. I'm getting a little restless about not doing some things ; )

Wouldn't you know on the day I have a gazillion errands to run, nephew comes? :rolleyes1 Oh well, its extra $. :teeth:

Elaine, be careful if you do go out today. Hope Luis will teach you his trick. :teeth:

Amanda, hope your house doesn't get destroyed. We are getting snow, but I believe its supposed to come on Sunday afternoon. I just hope the roads will be OK Monday morning.

Good Morning everyone!
All those with the incoming Winter Storm stay safe! Saw some of it on the news this a.m. and I just can't imagine!
Amanda - have fun at your luncheon and good luck w/the pizza party. Hoping your house does not get destroyed.
Tara - good thoughts for that poor boy. Hope it works out for what is best for him! Isn't it wonderful to get GOOD reports on your kid in school?. DS had this Kindergarten teacher that NEVER had a good word to say about him. At one meeting I finally asked her if she had anything positive to say about my child. She didn't like that too much! Hang in there.
Elaine - Take it easy and go slow. Don't do too much at once. (Sorry that's the momma in me coming out ;) )
Sherry - sorry you're not able to get your errands done. Your book sounds good. Love fluff stuff. I just picked up the new Nora Roberts but, haven't had enough time to sit down and read. :sad2:
Hey Kristy - breathe...........LOL
:wave2: Suzanne
Gotta try to do some work today. Last couple of days have not been very "work" productive. :rolleyes1

Wow Elaine, I had to go check out that mom's to be thread. Some people  I believe everyone has a right to their opinion but, geesh there is a thing called tact.
Darn, I can't get motivated to work. :confused3

Sherry, I hope Luis can teach me it as well. During the day I am not near as worried about it.
Oh and no snow here at all yet. So if I go out, it will be just cold. We'll see the nasty stuff tonight or tomorrow I think.

LOL, Rose Mary, I won't do too much. It's more like going to the grocery store and maybe walking 1/2 mile to Hallmark to get thank you notes. Definitely not too much here :p Considering I am dying to exercise again, I think this will be a good compromise ;)

Actually, he has been really good here lately and I can't really complain much!

Did someone say Griswalds???? :lmao: The darn neighbors have been putting up more lights...i have to catch up! :)
Yay for Jarrod getting a good report, and good luck wished for TJ.

I will confess that I have never seen Christmas Vacation  I really should fix that, eh? Then again, we did skip the lights this year.

Amanda, I wanted to do photo cards, but its really hard to get a pic of all 4 boys looking decent. One always makes some goofy face or looks away or something weird. :rolleyes1

I have visions of getting a photoshopped card, with the following:
One yawning child
one son rolling his eyes (or cross eyed)
one son with mouth opened and eyes closed
and one where his face cannot be seen!
And that way you would at least have a real-life pic of how they are at their respective ages. :)

We did a photo card last year and it was much easier than choosing cards and not expensive at all. I figured that would be the way to go, and then got too lazy to do it this year :rotfl:

Good Morning everyone!
All those with the incoming Winter Storm stay safe! Saw some of it on the news this a.m. and I just can't imagine!
Ditto

I haven't seen the thread Lainey, but yep - bashing someone's point of view on a support thread is bad no matter what. And from what y'all describe, this went beyond that. Have fun on your outing today :)

Alan you are deprived if you have never seen that movie!!!

Went to the grocery store today. It was packed there! I guess people are slowly taking off in preparation for the holidays.

Got my errands done. Didn't want to have to do groceries over the weekend.

Rose Mary, its a cute book. Which new Nora book did you get? I'll have to put it on hold. I love Nora.

Elaine, glad you got your errands done. I guess now they are saying we might get snow tomorrow, but most of it will come Sunday afternoon. Blech.

Alan, you have GOT to see Christmas Vacation. Funny, funny, funny. :lmao:

Hi all...

Elaine has Luis taught you his trick yet? Congrats on getting through the grocery store today ;)

Alan I'm with everyone else. You HAVE to see Christmas Vacation.

Amanda I hope the pizza party went well tonight

Tara...oh Tara...are you out hanging MORE lights? ;)

Sherry hope you were able to get all your errands done (even with nephew in tow)

RM LOL I'm trying to breathe...promise ;)

The Christmas countdown at work has finally started. I have 5 days to work before a WHOLE week off :woohoo:

I went to Wally World after work today to get groceries and supplies for baking tomorrow. That place was a mad house. I "think" I have everything I need to make 6 dozen peanut butter cookies, 4 dozen no bake cookies, 1 sugar cookie tree, 1 batch of brownies, and enough peppermint bark for 15 "give away tins". I'm going to a cookie exchange Sunday so I have to get at least the peanut butter cookies and no bake cookies done. The rest can be done next Saturday as give away items for my family.

Morning all! No trick learned. Bad night actually... oh well

Sherry, we're supposed to get snow, ice and rain today and then snow tomorrow. Sounds like lovely weather, eh? ;)

Kristy, have fun baking! Our grocery store was a mad house too. I guess everyone is trying to get the last minute shopping stuff done for the holidays. Usually at 1PM on a Friday it isn't bad at all.

Good morning gang,

Elaine...sorry last night wasn't a great one. But those nights don't last too long! Glad you are able to drive...since i had to have the c-section I wasn't supposed to drive for a month or some such stupid thing....I think I was lucky to last two weeks!! hehehe I hate being dependent on others! hehehe

I think I have figured out what was wrong with my lights...the thing I have them attached to has a timer and I kept setting it the wrong way so it would go off after a certain length of time. (at least this is what i'm thinking because I changed the number on the thing and they have been lit for the last 3 hours now!)

We have cub scout clean the street day. At least this time I am feeling much better! (last time I had enjoyed the spirits a bit much!) But today is supposed to be cold. blech! 48 degrees, cloudy, and windy! not my idea of fun! hehehe

Anyway, ya'll have a good day! I'll be back tonight after I finish fighting with the christmas tree!! hehehe once we get this sucker up it is going to stay up until easter!! hehehe

tara

Morning!

Boys have to go to BIL & SIL's today to practice the skit they are doing in church next Sunday. Then we are taking the boys to Max & Erma's for dinner. We've never been, so looking forward to it.

Elaine, sorry about the bad night. :( I'm so not looking forward to this nasty weather that is coming. :rolleyes1

Kristy, have fun baking. Save some for me. ;)

Tara, good luck with the tree and lights. Hope you stay warm while cleaning the streets.

Sherry....you have got to have their warm chocolate chip cookies!! yummy!! WE love Max and Erma's. My favorite thing there is the 3rd street salad. yummy!!

enjoy your day!

tara

Snow has arrrived..we have about 2-3 inches so far. Sounds like I am stuck in for 2 days:( I can't take being home 2 days without going somewhere. I may have to be committed.:scared:

The girl next store appears to have had a car accident. Please keep her family in your prayers. I believe the girl is okay, but I know they are going through some different family struggles.

Elaine...I am going to have to see the thread now. Good thing I'm not a cat;)
Did you watch Oprah yesterday? There was a lady explaining what she has uncovered about the language of a baby.

Pizza party went well. The house is still standing.

For those getting snow or dealing with snow stay warm....for those warm:duck:

Tara, I know my friend who had a c-section in August said the same thing. Though for her, she didn't feel well enough to drive for at least 4 weeks. I am glad that I can drive if I need to, though I know I am not 100% healed with the stitches

Sherry, enjoy the day out and about. I agree the chocolate chip cookies at M&E are very good!!!

Amanda, sorry for the snow... we got some too and it is still coming down. I hope they get you cleared out quickly though.
I don't watch Oprah I admit, but that is interesting that someone claims they uncovered baby language. I somehow think that if it were possible to know more, we'd have figured it out by now ;)

Watching movies as the snow falls... we have Harry Potter in at the moment.

Howdy. Sitting at the coffee joint before work. I had to drop off lunch (Sloppy Joes) by 1pm, but didn't have to be back until 3pm. So I took my car for an oil change and went two places to get graph paper (struck out). Now I've got a half hour to go and I'm enjoying some Flan cake and vitamin water.

We went out to the mall last night after a Tijuana Flats dinner. I didn't know Kay Bee was going out of business. Nothing of games were left except the dregs of Gameboy Advance games. Got my friend Donna a tear off calendar that she will be :lmao: about. I suspect she won't be able to use it at work, though. She's an anamoly there. :rotfl:

Elaine, woohoo for driving. It's a bummer the idea didn't work out for y'all. The new Harry Potter? I need to go pick that up.

Amanda, I'm with you about two days of being stuck in the house drives me crazy. Glad the pizza party went well and you're not reporting a screaming migraine.

Sherry, enjoy Max and Erma's. My mom and sister raved about the phones on the tables and food for years after heading to Ohio to visit one of my other sisters.

Tara, the big man :santa: is coming to our Scout meeting on Monday night. Thankfully, I dodged Kevin's "Is he real?" question the other night. I'm happy for him having ADHD that one time in my life! :teeth: We have to tell them before Neil goes back to Middle school and tells everyone what the big man got him. :rotfl:

Kristy, cookies all sound good. We've got to bring cookies to scouts Monday night. We're bringing about 8 dozen Koribedes cookies. Yummy. Hope you're having fun baking-I'm sure the house smells divine right now!

Oh, Kevin informs us LAST NIGHT that he's in the chorus concert Tuesday night. I have to close. I'm hoping one of the other managers will take pity on me and switch shifts.

Gonna go in a few minutes early and see about that. Wonder if there's any sloppy joes left! :rolleyes1
