Quick

No nephew today. Might not have him the rest of the week or next week. BIL will call every morning to let me know if he'll be here or not.

Tara, to you. What a sad situation for that boy.

Elaine, sorry about the reflux.

Rose Mary, go ahead and send your DS here. :teeth: He'd probably have a blast with my boys. :lmao:

My package did arrive while the boys were in school.

Gonna head upstairs and watch TV.

Quick hi... I'm in my own bed. Luis has given me the night off so I don't have to worry about stairs. In a few days it hopefully won't be a big deal anyway.

Suzanne, we hope to have a nice balance of video games and other such stuff around the house for Dom as he grows. I know Luis will love playing games, but we also want real fun. The bruises are healing as best as possible. I'm at least looking a bit less like a druggie now :p

Tara, just think the holidays are coming and you can hopefully get a break from it all. And of course when in doubt use duct tape ;)

Sherry, enjoy the time off from the nephew if you get it. Oh and we decided to try eliminating all dairy from Dom's diet. Some babies are a lot more sensitive to that. He's on soy formula only at the moment. We hope it helps.

Howdy Alan & Kristy!

Morning!

Found us on page 3.

Elaine, I hope the soy works. Hope you got some rest on your night off.

I couldn't sleep, so woke up a bit early. :rolleyes1

Morning....

Elaine....both our girls liked to bring things back up. We tried everything. Mandy was the worst. The Dr said as long as they gain weight we shouldn't worry about it. I have to say it did get old after a while. Mandy rarely got picked up because we were afraid to move her at times. Both out grew it. When Todd took night shift, which wasn't often since he needed to be up with Mandy in the morning, I don't think I slept well. I was always worried and thought I needed to be up.

Rainy here this morning. Ears, nose and head still are not liking the rain. Was suppose to visit with my Dad tonight, but he said he might work late. Kind of nice to know I have an extra night at home. I told the girls we WILL get their picture taken so we can send them out soon.

Tara....Friday is near.:rolleyes1

Morning all!

Thanks for the save Sherry! Are you "free" from your nephew today?

Amanda, it isn't the spitting back up we are worried about, it's when he cries in pain from gas. That part we are trying to avoid. I don't mind the spitting he does at all, I just hate when he's in pain :(
I slept okay though. I did wake up twice, but like you I just kind of felt like I needed to be up. Luis has forbidden me to go downstairs before 9 am, so I'll just play online until then :p

Morning all!
Had fun at D&B's. Except for the fact that the one person that I really don't want to associate with sat right next to me! But, I kept my mouth shut and dealt with it until time to go play games.
We had a White Elephant exchange which was fun. I wound up with 5 scratch off lottery tics and a $10 Chik Fil A card. Didn't win anything so at least I have a couple lunches to look forward to.
Elaine - try to enjoy your rest. Hope the soy works for Dom. I don't think DS kept anything down for at least a year, I lived in old t-shirts until just before I walked out the door to go somewhere, LOL. But like Amanda said the doc wasn't concerned as long as he gained wait. Which he did and then some. :confused3 At least he wasn't in pain, tho'.
Tara - so sad. Poor kid. Thinking good thoughts for him.
Sherry - You know it. DS would love it, that many boys. All his cousins are girls.
Amanda - glad you get a night, hope you start feeling better.
Better get busy. Been interrupted so many times already.

Elaine, I hope the soy works. Hope you got some rest on your night off.
::yes::

Rainy here this morning. Ears, nose and head still are not liking the rain. Was suppose to visit with my Dad tonight, but he said he might work late. Kind of nice to know I have an extra night at home.
Sorry about the way the weather is affecting you but glad you may get a home night.

Luis has forbidden me to go downstairs before 9 am, so I'll just play online until then :p
He's cute :)

I've tried to make this post a few times, and have either timed out or gotten kicked off the DIS altogether and then could not log in. :confused3

So, I'll just say good morning :) and move along to stuff I should be doing at work anyway.

You know, like starting to address cards.... :rolleyes1

Elaine...Mandy never fussed or cried, but Cassie was fussy. We tried everything but it was just something her body had to work through. Hopefully you will find something to sooth him.

Rose Mary, I'd take the Chick Fil A as well. That sounds very good to me actually :teeth:

Silly question for any of you who has used Walmart for cards. I was thinking of using them for birth announcements. Do they actually come with envelopes? They were only $.33 or so and would be worth it if they came with the envelopes but they don't say one way or another.

Alan, the DIS was very bad for me as well this morning.

Amanda, I can deal with fussy okay during the day. Part of our problem is getting him to sleep. We're trying the car seat. In a few days I will want to go up to my own bed (stitches healed) and want something he will sleep in for more than 20 minutes before waking up unhappy.

No nephew again today. Got alot of reading in this morning and got some DVR stuff watched, too.

Rose Mary, yay on the Chick Fil A GC.

Elaine, I am pretty sure the photo cards come with envelopes. Hope you can figure out something to keep the little guy happy.

Amanda, hope you get a night for yourself tonight.

Hi gang,

I need some good thoughts for my student. We are applying for a waiver for him to stay at my school. This kid really can't handle another change and I know the people at the other school won't give two rips that he is a wonderful kid if he acts up and doesn't behave when he arrives. They will kick him out in a hearbeat. I need him to stay here if we are to keep him from being kicked out of school. So any good thoughts you could send to TJ would be greatly appreciated! (also it would help my mental state! LOL!)

Had a 90 minute IEP meeting this morning with another parent (wasn't as bad as it sounds) and then I had to go to an IEP meeting for Jarrod and that went really well. It was really nice to hear wonderful things about my child...he gives me such a run for my money that I need to hear these good things occassionally! Actually, he has been really good here lately and I can't really complain much!

Oh and I have a migraine tonight...I think part is the stress and part is the weather. My sinuses are hurting!

Ketchup:
Sorry little Dom has tummy troubles (okay I'm a dork....the first time i typed that I typed "trubbles" :lmao: now you see why I teach Sped!) Hope the Soy is helping him. Babies who hurt make me hurt!

RM...sorry you had to sit next to someone you didn't want to sit next to. Yeah on free lunches!

Amanda...thank goodness tomorrow is friday and we have a breakfast pot luck in the morning, I'm meeting a friend for lunch, and then we have a christmas jet lag (our mascot is the Jet and so we call our happy hour "jet lag") at a coworkers house....so I will do nothing but eat tomorrow so it should be a good day!! hehehe

Sherry...whatcha reading? Glad your nephew is giving you a break! Enjoy it!

Alan...sorry the DIS was being slow for you today. I didn't even have time to get in until now and I've been working on this for a good 30 minutes!! hehehe Addressing Christmas cards? What's that? hehehe

Kristy...good luck with your new journey!!! I'll keep you and Derek in my thoughts!!

I just ordered my Christmas cards from the Photopass site. They should be here right after Christmas so I'll call my christmas cards my new year's cards. I think I might even make address labels so I don't have to write out all the addresses. Then all I have to do is stuff...the cards are signed at Disney and the envelopes done...darn this will be too easy! hahaha

okay, headed home to help mom finish fluffing the tree and putting the garland up on the banisters and then putting the lights on the neighbors hedge (well we share it so I can use it!! hehe) Did someone say Griswalds???? :lmao: The darn neighbors have been putting up more lights...i have to catch up! :)

Okay, i'm outta here. I'll try to come back tonight but if my head keeps hurting I might just go to bed as soon as I get home!!

hugs to all and thanks for letting me have my pity party week. I promise to do better!!!

tara

Tara, thinking very good thoughts for your student
Have fun decorating!! Sounds like fun to me. Come to my house when you are done ;) Oh and I highly recommend labels! I've used them quite a lot this year.

Sherry, glad to hear you had the day off :)

I need to make supper and then we're off to choir practice. Have a good evening everyone!

Silly question for any of you who has used Walmart for cards. I was thinking of using them for birth announcements. Do they actually come with envelopes? They were only $.33 or so and would be worth it if they came with the envelopes but they don't say one way or another.

I haven't used them for cards. I do know two people who swear by them, but I've used Costco for years. In fact, I'm on right now uploading pictures to pick up on the way home from work so we can finish Kevin's science project.

Suzanne

Elaine...my walmart does give envelopes with photo cards, they are very basic white envelopes.

Tried taking photos of the girls to send out for Christmas...didn't go well. May have to try again this weekend. Good thing cards don't take too long to get where they are going.

Tara...you better watch out typing your addresses, did you see that thread;) I always have my addresses typed out. We send out over 90 cards and I just can't write them out anymore. Plus I do my Dad's for his business.

Sherry...sounds like a peaceful day.

RM..our Christmas lunch is tomorrow. I have my gift exchange wrapped and have an apple pie ready for the oven tomorrow morning.

Have a good evening everyone...gotta go sign my Christmas letters and get my Dad's cards done.

Tara, I'm reading The Secret Life of Mrs. Claus. Fun, fluff read. :teeth: Good thoughts for your student.

Amanda, I wanted to do photo cards, but its really hard to get a pic of all 4 boys looking decent. One always makes some goofy face or looks away or something weird. :rolleyes1

Suzanne, the only reason why I am having trouble with using Costco is because they are limiting my characters and it doesn't fit as nice ;) I may go with them since they are the cheapest and just rethink what I want it to say

Thanks for letting me know Amanda. We don't care if they are plain or not considering they are just birth announcements. I really want to get them out asap though. I also need some thank you notes... I ran out and have a lot of after birth thank yous to send.

Sherry, next time try photoshop! You could take a few pics and then choose which ones of the kids you like ;)

Choir took forever and I got annoyed there. Glad to be home :)

:car:  Hi all.....I can't ketchup but I can at least drive by and wave :teeth:

Sherry, next time try photoshop! You could take a few pics and then choose which ones of the kids you like ;)

:)

I have visions of getting a photoshopped card, with the following:
One yawning child
one son rolling his eyes (or cross eyed)
one son with mouth opened and eyes closed
and one where his face cannot be seen!
