Hey guys :wave2:

Thought I would stop by to say hi and say that I ran into Nancy at Pop last week. I was there with Evan, Connor and a group of friends with their kiddo's.
I thought it was so funny to run into her after all this time. Pop was packed and I never saw her again the rest of the trip.

"Try to grab the pebbles from my hand, Grasshopper."

Not to be confused with the day Fred tried to scare his little girl by letting an insect jump at her.

:moped: man these kids are killing me today!! CPK better have some good drinks tonight!!

back tonight!!
tara

Pam  Good luck with everything!

Rose Mary :teeth: I'm sorry I couldn't resist :p

Sherry, I do hope the roads remained okay for y'all! Ours were sticking at first, but the sun peaked through. Seems to have stopped for now (was supposed to pick up again) and it was kind of nice to have th snow and sun all at once.

Suzanne, that sounds kind of cool the way your store works. I hope you and Cindy got a lot done today with the laptop.

Lily, my kitties are always extra needy after I return from a trip. Cleo is all curled up in a ball at the moment on my bed. I made sure she got extra blankets since we don't kep the house too warm :teeth:

Alan believe it or not, at my school they would call if a kid was missed. Of course the school would call that day or the very next day instead of waiting a month or so. They were actually really on top of kids skipping for no good reason.

John, if you plan a Saturday for either or both Skyline and Chick Fil A, Luis and I will show ;)

Tara, don't worry, CPK has some good drinks there! I betcha you could get my favorite (orange juice, pineapple juice and grenadine) with a bit of rum in it. We do that all the time at home. Fruity and good ::yes::

Had some more flurries, but nothing really stuck. :yay:
Got my errands done and Junior & I ate lunch at Bennigans. We only went cuz I had a free entree for my b-day. Now I know why we don't go there often. :rolleyes1

Pam, for you.

Tara, have a drink for me. :lmao: at the boy wanting to be your Valentine.

Elaine, sun came out here too this afternoon.

Lily, a mini-meet at Chick-Fil-A sounds great. :bounce:

Alan, enjoy your weekend.

Deena!!! So good to see you pop in!!!! Cool that you ran into Nancy.

Suzanne, hope you got everything done with the laptop today.

 Rose Mary!

 Kimmar!!

John, I hate to say it, but we aren't fans of Skyline. :duck:

Paula, FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL!!!

Proud sister moment! My younger sister just called me after her graduation ceremony. She's officially a graduate LPN-the first college grad in the family, and at the top of her class, too. She's also got 30 credits in towards her RN-and did it in 11 months (the program was supposed to be 15 months!). Very proud of her, and she's gonna get on my case about the six credits I need for the AA, and starting UF, lol!
Cool!! congrats to your sis!! I am the first one on either side of my family to get a master's degree...hasn't done me any good...but hey I have it!

Shopping was fun - I bought Alyssa 4 shirts and jeans at "Forever 21" and PJ's at Macys.

I didn't buy anything for myself - sale stuff all picked over and not in a spring mood.

Might ended stressfully - hope tomorrow is a better day.
 But hey I'm still  Food and Wine Festival  for you!!

Morning all!

Later................
 Morning...er...evening now a day later! cool siggy!!! ;)

Tara, med commiserating here. Zoloft did NOTHING for Neil, Risperdal was good for a long time, then the efficacy fell off around a year ago. Neuro was right-it's better to stay with a known quantity when doing a battery of tests. Hugs to you-not fun going through all that stuff.
Suzanne
It is a PITA and I'm so afraid we are still going to be left with no answers. I'm afraid I might have to hurt someone if they dont' give me any too!!

Sooo, I woke up at 7:25. Small problem, I needed to leave for work at 7:20! Someone forgot to set the alarm after he got up! I didn't do too bad, for work being forty minutes away, I got the kids up, dressed, dropped off and to work by 8:30. Go me!
 I've done that before too! Not fun at all! Glad you made it!

Just a quick good morning! Gotta get the boys moving!

John, come over anytime, we'll hit Chick-Fil-A.

Tara, hope things calm down for you soon. Enjoy your night out. Hope the meds change work.

Have a dusting of snow. Lake effect snow on the way. Might get ugly later. Hopefully it will hold off long enough for me to get some errands done. :rolleyes1
I like chicFila but not my favorite. We have them all over the place. i have to be in the mood to go there.

I'm so jealous of your snow. But they did say we might see some flurries on Monday!! but my luck the only thing I'll see are the usual flakes heading to work!! :rotfl:

Ugh. Sent Jared to school with the wrong 2 checks this morning, so had to run to the Jr. High after dropping 2 of the boys off at the HS. :rolleyes1 Ended up just dropping Julian off too, since his school is right across the field from Jared's.
Well on the upside...at least he HAD a check!! I sent my kid to school with no money and he had to be given the bag lunch that they give the kids who don't coem to school with money

The homework I talked about the other night was creating a binder for my department. This store is different than any other I've worked in, in that we department managers act as store managers of our own area. As such, we had to make 'store' binders for our departments.

Well, discovered that the other two managers don't have computers, and the GM had created some docs for one. When I said I could bring in my laptop to do any changes they wanted to their binders, it was pretty funny. So today, I'll head in a bit early to help Cindy with hers. This earns me more help with mine-her book is awesome.

Gotta make some phone calls and run some errands. Catch y'all later!

Suzanne
Dang! Homework and you are not even teaching! wow! that sucks! :teeth:

Morning Ya Yas!

Tara, that is a great story. You writing that book? You could have Jarisms and your teachers rollercoaster stories. PD to you going through the med evaluation time. Hope that whatever is determined there is relief in sight.

My retirement plans have been put on a shelf til next year. I just couldn't see it happening. However, one never knows and I have the power.

Everyone, have a great day.

These kids are full of things that make me smile! This is one of my favorite kids. he has so much going against him with his issues but i just want to pick him up and hug him!!

sorry your retirement plans have been put on hold! Good luck to you!!

Work sucks!:sad1:

Someone, anyone, make the nasty, mean old deadline go away!

Snow flurries here - as is the flu - AGAIN!:

I need huggles, pixie dust, mad love, and fluff from all of you folks..... (a good batch of roadkill wouldn't be turned away, either!):rotfl:
I'm in agreement with you that work sucks!!! Let's quit and go live with John in the moutians of Tibet!! to you!!!

Nah, he's going to give you a card from the Donald Trump Valentine collection.
:lmao: :lmao: I'll be looking for my "You're Fired" car any day!!

Totally off topic comment:
If you ever have a computer that has an operating system that is no longer supported by Microsoft, that is a sign that you should immediately discard that computer (or donate it to someone). Every time I think that I can upgrade my old reliable computer, I run into a brick wall. And Sue and the kids pay the price. I am in Windows XP Home upgrade Hades right now. I have worked with computers for over 30 years and yet they continue to baffle and confuse me. I am seriously considering chucking technology and moving to a mountaintop in Tibet.

sorry about your computer woes!! Hope things work out for you...and in case it doesn't...well I think a few more of us might be joining you in those moutains!!

Hello Dali, well hello Dali....

Sorry for the aggrevation though. My home PC is rarely used and it will remain at the Win98 OS that came with it.
 oh my these are getting really bad!!

Good to see you again Deena!! That's cool that you saw Nancy! I hope she comes back to us sometime!!

Tara, don't worry, CPK has some good drinks there! I betcha you could get my favorite (orange juice, pineapple juice and grenadine) with a bit of rum in it. We do that all the time at home. Fruity and good ::yes::
Had the Apple something or other Sangria. Yummy!! Then had the BLT pizza. I'm very stuffed. good thing I've been eating those salads for lunch!! Astrid had the mohito (or some such thing!)
It was nice visiting with my old friends and catching up. They are all going to go to the Melting Pot next Saturday for our annual gir's night out/Tara's BD.

Have a great weekend Y'all-Y'alls!
right back at ya sir!

The last few times I've been to Bennigans it wasn't that good and the service was a tad slow. but it will do in a pinch if necessary!! Glad you got some flurries and it didn't stick...now go start blowing my direction will ya???? :teeth:

I love this new quote feature!! Sure makes my life easier!! I'm going to look aroudn the dis and few other unnamed places and I'll be back tomorrow. Have a great day all!!

hugs,t
ara

..she got an infection in her leg, but she was finally moved to a rehab today.....

:scared1: Pg 3, what's up with that? sherry must be sleeping in.
I had to turn the lights on, start the coffee, but ya'll are just gonna have
to get your own breakfast ok????????

Rose Mary, I was up, just snuggling a cat. Sorry I couldn't come in and say hi though. When Gwen snuggles, I can't type much ;)

Morning all!

I totally blanked on saying hi to Deena! How cool you got to see Nancy... how I wished I could have gone as well. I know she is coming home this weekend though. They had a nice long trip there.

Speaking of blanking... Tara I love the new sig ;)

Sherry, I've heard of Bennigan's but never ate there. I am probably happy that we don't have one close by. Glad that the snow didn't stick much either. Though I saw you all are in for more this weekend. We may or may not get some of that later on, but ours is coming from the west.
Oh and I am so not a fan of Skyline either, Luis finds it okay, but he eats anythign :p

Tara, sounds like a good night there. My favorite pizza there is kind of bland, but it tastes so good mixed. The honey wheat dough with the traditional cheese. The tastes of both just blend well together. I haven't had a mojito yet, but they sound good. Last time we were offered one, I wasn't allowed to partake ;)

Kimmar, glad that your MIL is moving to rehab. I hope the rest goes well. My grandma is at home and walking around a little w/o a walker or cane even. They have really progressed her a lot in the month since she broke the hip area.

Not sure what we are doing today. In the mood for a good hamburger so we'll have to find a good place for one I think.

...that's great news about your grandma....my MiL is still in a LOT of pain - I am worried that she getting hooked on her meds....:sad2:

Morning all.

Kimmar, that's good news that MIL has been moved. I'm hoping for a speedy recovery and that the infection goes away soon. ETA: I've been on the pain meds too, sometimes you just have to suck it up and take them in order to heal.

Oh Tara's going to Melting Pot! My next trip there isn't until their next Ladie's night out in March. Going w/some coworkers. Bacardi just brought out Mojito mixers-right after I bought a muddler to smoosh my limes, lol! (BTW, that info is for you to use for yourself in place of the med change on Jar :rotfl: )

Bennigan's hasn't impressed around here, either. We finally went to the one in town a few months ago and the service was very slow and the food wasn't all that great. Wish we had a CPK over here-there's one in one of the malls in Tampa that Ed doesn't like (too high falutin' for him). Come to think of it, they've got Cheesecake Factory and around here, those two are always in the same malls!

Deena, :wave2: Cool that you saw Nancy! Miss seeing you around here.

Sherry, How bad was the snow? Well Denny's also does a free meal on your b'day, but I don't think it would have been any better.

John, I'd like a four way please. YUM! Did you know Skyway has a place in Clearwater? If you and Sue ever decided to retire down here, you could still get your Skyway fix!

Pam, put that paper to bed yet?

Alan, when I went to school, the attendance office called every day by 10am, but here they don't at all.

So, I was trying to do a good thing-on Thursday, I asked my boss this evening off so Ed could take Kevin to Monster Truck Jam. The noise would be too much for Neil, and so I'd do something else with him. Yesterday, it was decided that I'd take a vacation day and have the whole day off. Only problem is that the tickets sold out.

Now I have the day, and we're going to do something-just don't know what yet. Due to Gasparilla, we have shortened hours at the store next Saturday and two of us got the day off-and the Monster Trucks are in Orlando. I told Ed to see if there are tickets there, and there were.

So next Saturday, he and Kev head to Orlando around noon for the pit pass and the show and Neil and I will pick something out. I'm hoping that he'll be in a Busch Gardens mood. He loves his coasters and rapids rides, but has to be in the mood for them. He hasn't been on any of them over there yet-then again, we only went there once with another DISer.

Just asked Neil what he'd like to do today and he said he'd like to go out to lunch-to Waffle House. Can you see who in the house is not a gourmand? :rotfl:

Suzanne

Sorry Rose Mary, I did sleep in this morning. :teeth:

Elaine, no more snow here for us. :yay: Where'd you go for your burger?

Ran to the library, Sprint store and Target this morning. Ordered Junior a refurbed 30G iPod this morning, so he's a happy camper. His 20G kicked the bucket. :rolleyes1

Gotta go get dinner on the table.

Let's try this again! I was right in the middle of a post when we lost electricity for the 4th time today so I gave up and turned the power cord off so that the computer wouldn't fry!

I didn't post early this morning because I'm PMS and very moody. I just had the really down feeling this morning and was teary over everything!!

Finally, this afternoon we went out to linner (lunch/dinner) and then went to BJ's to pick up a few things  how do I end up spending that much money on such a few things :faint:

now mom is at Farm fresh picking up the stuff we couldn't get at BJ's. But I have a headache and it's time for the kids to go to bed so we stayed home.

Supposed to get winter weather tomorrow...or at least that is what they said at 730 this morning. So we'll see.

Oh and the sig has been there for about two weeks but I think it was missed since it was in the usual font...I wanted to make sure it was seen :teeth:

OKay, gonna go veg on the couch! I'll see ya'll tomorrow!!

tara

Evening y'all! About to totally sign off for the night.

Kimmar, I do hope all goes well with your MIL. We had the opposite issue with my grandma. She was in a ton of pain but was refusing to take the meds. My dad more or less made her do that and take a sleeping pill for a while. At least they can monitor that in rehab.

Suzanne, I was just thinking today after watching that show "Take Home Chef" i was thinking that Kevin would be a great one for that. He has the looks and could be a great chef :teeth:
You know it is really funny, our CPK and CF are in the same mall as well :teeth: We do have another mall that has a CPK with no CF in sight though ;)

Sherry, I hope Junior enjoys the new iPods. I admit I like them more than my old one :rolleyes1 We wound up going to Cheeseburger in Paradise for lunch. Very good! We'll definitely go back again. There was a live steel drum player/singer going on while we were there.

Tara, sorry about the moods and the electricity troubles. I noticed the sig before, but I laughed out loud when I saw how big the font was! In a few months I'll probably be ready to discuss dates if we can swing it :teeth:

I'm off for teh night... see y'all later!

Evening!

Ended up with a pretty packed day. We had lunch at Awful House, then went to the zoo. Next up was mini golf and then dinner at this great little greek/italian place in town. Good day all around.

Lainey, yeah, there can be CPK's without CF, but if there IS a CF, then there's a CPK. Cross your fingers that with our mall getting CF, this continues to hold and we get a CPK, too! Okay, now I think I've confused everyone! :rotfl: Kevin definitely has the personality to be a chef, lol!

Sherry, cool on the new iPod, I was on that site this morning. Too late for the 29 dollar shuffles, but that's okay-I'm patient.

Okay, going to go surf a bit. Hoping I don't have to get snarky again. Just irritated with being told people telling me others are coming down here when I'm not going to see them and they don't call me to tell me they are coming anyway. I guess I'm a little sensitive. I've written it off, but it still bothers me that my nose seems to be rubbed into it.
