Eh John, just drive down here too. I love Chick Fil A and always looking for a reason to go ;) If you have to drive might as well make a good trip out of it :p

So, if I said Rose Mary is a twit, would she still say "What Elaine said"? :duck:

Chilly here as well Kimmar!
Cleo decided she was freezing today. And so she nearly hopped in the shower with me. Needy little bugger. I swear she's as bad as a kid sometimes!

Alan, remind me to avoid Chic Fil A on Tuesday nights then in your neck of the woods

Lily, I sure hope you aren't working too hard. Can't have too much of that this close to retirement :teeth:
Oh and somehow I didn't get to rest as much today as I thought. It wasn't near as busy as usual, but still wasn't fun.

Tara, sorry about Jack... want us to whack him in the head... maybe that will make him leave :p Oh and we miss ya too... don't stay away too much!

I think it is time for a cold winter's nap... Cleo is trying hard to make me do it I think ;)

Suzanne...congrats to your sister. I am the only one in my family to graduate from college. I do have an older cousin that graduated before me, but no siblings.

Girls went to the dentist...they are doing well. Was concerned with Cassie grinding her teeth while sleeping, but the dentist said no damage in the back part and he hopes as her other teeth come in it will fix itself.

Tara...Todd got a call from the truancy officer yesterday. Only 1.5months after we took the girls out for vacation. I sent 3 letters to the school (beginning of school year, one month prior and week before. You would have thought it was a major sin. Todd said she didn't sound too happy. I asked him if he told them there would be one more absence for Good Friday. There own fault for changing Spring Break and making the kids go to school on a holiday we celebrate. Todd still is ticked about the call and talking about going to the school and asking them about their communication method.

Gotta get dinner for the girls.

:headache: MOM...elaine hit me...err Jack!! He's not too bad this evening, tho I just started sneezing so that isn't helping anything!

I absolutely hate having to work instead of dis! I'm not sure I like the extra responsibility! I'm much more of a slacker than a worker!! hehehehe

Amanda...that's ridiculous that they would have the truancy officer call you almost 2 months later. And its not like your kids have missed school since that time! dorks!! I hate morons like that. Here we can have a kid miss 2 or 3 days every week for 2 months and the truancy officer won't even think about touchign them! stooopid morons!

Getting ready to go to bed now....had counseling...not a bad appt. it is has been a better week. Then to golden corral for dinner. Was supposed to go to the grocery store but we were too full and tired.

oh and the appt yesterday...the NP said that we will wait to hcange Jar's meds until after the Pysch testing. From there we will know if he is on the Autism spectrum or not. If yes then we will put him on Respridol (could be spelled wrong), if not then we will still change his meds but not sure to what. We know the zoloft isn't helping him so we need to change it.

The NP even wrote me an Rx to "go on vacation with no guilt"!! So i shouldn't feel bad in a couple of weeks when I do my weekend scrapping at the beach!

Hi all! Not ignoring you...just gotta hit the bed! Going out with my old department after work tomorrow. So I won't be arond till late tomorrow night. (hopefully time during hte day...but not counting on that!)

tara

Tara, med commiserating here. Zoloft did NOTHING for Neil, Risperdal was good for a long time, then the efficacy fell off around a year ago. Neuro was right-it's better to stay with a known quantity when doing a battery of tests. Hugs to you-not fun going through all that stuff.

Amanda, Gotta love that Truancy officer :sad2: We didn't get a visit for Kevin's three days out with a bug the first week of school and then the week in Cali. We're kids number 7 and 8 and we're the first that even attended college for more than a semester!

Paula, why is it that Alyssa comes home with all the stuff? ;) Oh yeah, FOOD AND WINE!!!!!

Kimmar, so where do I send the flannel comforter? Hope it warms up for you soon.

John, there's hope for you. If Cheesecake Factory can announce their new restaurant in our mall, I'm sure it's not long for Chic Fil A nearer to you.

Lily, are you even in retirement 1 derland yet?

Lainey, had that happen at college-snow so bad that it took 2 hours to get one mile from the campus to the main road out. Then I stopped at my mom's before getting to work and it hadn't even snowed there!

Rosemary, :dance3:

Sooo, I woke up at 7:25. Small problem, I needed to leave for work at 7:20! Someone forgot to set the alarm after he got up! I didn't do too bad, for work being forty minutes away, I got the kids up, dressed, dropped off and to work by 8:30. Go me!

I am so glad I don't go in until 1 tomorrow. :teeth:

Just a quick good morning! Gotta get the boys moving!

John, come over anytime, we'll hit Chick-Fil-A. :teeth:

Tara, hope things calm down for you soon. Enjoy your night out. Hope the meds change work.

Amanda, crazy truant officers. :rolleyes1

Suzanne, yay you for still getting everything done on time.

Have a dusting of snow. Lake effect snow on the way. Might get ugly later. Hopefully it will hold off long enough for me to get some errands done. :rolleyes1

Morning all...

The worst part about the truancy officer is that she acted like she didn't know why they were out. I have no idea why I even write the notes:sad2:

Tara...hopefully all the evaluations are soon and the meds for Jared get worked out. Enjoy your weekend at the beach, I just wish I could join ya:rolleyes:

Suzanne...glad you were able to get to work. What is your normal start time? I am guessing 8am, so not bad at all if you got there by 8:30.

Just got here and I am ready to go home. Stupid sinus issues.

Have a great weekend everyone! (Just in case I don't get back on:rolleyes1 )

Quick hi here... I have to dash on out

Amanda, that is so sad that they cannot keep track of kids like that AND then wait that long to call to find out why they were out. What a waste! Feel better soon!

Tara, good luck with everything with Jar. Finding right drugs can be such a PITA... and I've only had to deal with it on skin issues (myself and otherwise)

Suzanne that is even more wild about the snow at your mom's place in college. I know at least all of Columbus area got snow. Just some not near as bad as others. Our area was that bad they put us in a Level 3 snow emergency (if you go out and not are an essential employee, they will ticket you). We've had Level 1s and 2s which I go to work in, but not 3.

Sherry, speaking of that white stuff, good luck. We have some flurries right now and expecting a wee bit more, but not a lot. I like not living near that lake ;)

I better go now :wave2:

Good Morning Everyone!

AND just for Lainey..................:duck: :snooty: :p

:dance3: :drinking1 :mickeybar

Ugh. Sent Jared to school with the wrong 2 checks this morning, so had to run to the Jr. High after dropping 2 of the boys off at the HS. :rolleyes1 Ended up just dropping Julian off too, since his school is right across the field from Jared's.

Amanda, feel better soon.

Elaine, lucky you. LES can be ugly. Still have flurries but nothing is sticking on the roads yet, so I need to get my butt moving and do my errands.

Morning, all.

Lainey, my thought about the crazy snow was that my mom was closer to the ocean and the school was 7 miles further inland. Dunno. Sounds like you've got a busy day today.

Amanda, retail management=work all over the place. We start at either 8 or 9 when on opening shift or 1 or 2 if closing shift. 8am is probably the roughest on the days Ed works, because the kids can't arrive at school before 7:30. They walk to school those days now. Grrr, she didn't even KNOW why they were out? Sounds like your notes got misplaced.

Sherry, hope the snow holds off enough for you to do those errands.

Rosemary, TGIF, right?

The homework I talked about the other night was creating a binder for my department. This store is different than any other I've worked in, in that we department managers act as store managers of our own area. As such, we had to make 'store' binders for our departments.

Well, discovered that the other two managers don't have computers, and the GM had created some docs for one. When I said I could bring in my laptop to do any changes they wanted to their binders, it was pretty funny. So today, I'll head in a bit early to help Cindy with hers. This earns me more help with mine-her book is awesome.

Gotta make some phone calls and run some errands. Catch y'all later!

Suzanne

Chilly here as well Kimmar!...

My child who keeps firing me asked me today if I liked Valentine's day and I told him no since I didn't have a Valentine...so he told me that he would be my Valentine!! :lmao: guess I'm okay afterall!!

Morning Ya Yas!

Tara, that is a great story. You writing that book? You could have Jarisms and your teachers rollercoaster stories. PD to you going through the med evaluation time. Hope that whatever is determined there is relief in sight.

Sherry, hurry up. It's supposed to be a snowy weekend. Guess I should make sure we have stuff after I get off work. Yuck I hate going to the grocery store. DH won't be going...he's got a cold. He's noticing a pattern; after every vaca he gets sick.

Elaine, I love hearing about your cuddly kitties. Both my pups have been extra attentive since I've come back from vaca. I guess they missed me.

Amanda, sorry about your having to go through the truancy call. It brought back memories for me too. DS#1 was off quite a long stretch with P...new...moan...ya. I called, got his HW and all. Not a card, not a note, nothing to DS as he was recouperating. (Typically classes do this for the kids out with illnesses here.) Then same thing you got, a couple of months later The Call from truancy. DH took that call; they were lucky it was not me. I'd probably have been worse. Needless to say, we have had many not-so-good experiences in our exemplary school system. We've also had good ones, but the others are certainly a mystery. Anyway, don't let it get to you too much, I'm sure your kids had a magnificent learning experience/family time with your trip and that opportunity is worth more than anything the school could have given the lovely ladies the week they were gone.

Suzanne, oops on the alarm thing. Hope that it doesn't mess up your day too much.

Kimmar, g'mornin

RM, I get the distinct impression you've got something to look forward to iduring F&W time.

John, maybe it could be a mini Ya Ya meet at that Chick-fil-a place. I've not ever eaten there, and never done Skyline Chili either for that matter.

My retirement plans have been put on a shelf til next year. I just couldn't see it happening. However, one never knows and I have the power.

Everyone, have a great day.

Work sucks!:sad1:

Someone, anyone, make the nasty, mean old deadline go away!

Snow flurries here - as is the flu - AGAIN!:guilty:

I need huggles, pixie dust, mad love, and fluff from all of you folks..... (a good batch of roadkill wouldn't be turned away, either!):rotfl:

 for Pam!

:thumbsup2

Whew, for a dental visit that is pretty good news!

Tara...Todd got a call from the truancy officer yesterday. Only 1.5months after we took the girls out for vacation. I sent 3 letters to the school (beginning of school year, one month prior and week before. You would have thought it was a major sin. Todd said she didn't sound too happy.

......

The worst part about the truancy officer is that she acted like she didn't know why they were out. I have no idea why I even write the notes:sad2:

Wow, how aggrevating. I would get to the school and have administration explain to me exactly what I did wrong if I wrote the notes in advance, and why the truant officer was calling.

I've got to admit that I have never actually heard of anyone calling someone on truancy. If there were officers in my school system, I was unaware of it, and the schools my girls have attended have both been very small private schools so everything is done directly with administration.

But I hope it works out soon and they don't come to reposses their education.

My child who keeps firing me asked me today if I liked Valentine's day and I told him no since I didn't have a Valentine...so he told me that he would be my Valentine!! :lmao: guess I'm okay afterall!!
Nah, he's going to give you a card from the Donald Trump Valentine collection.

John, maybe it could be a mini Ya Ya meet at that Chick-fil-a place. I've not ever eaten there, and never done Skyline Chili either for that matter.

I have been remiss in my duties as a Skyline Chili Ambassador. I like the idea of a Ya Ya meet at either Chick-fil-A or Skyline. Or, for that matter, any place that serves FOOD!!!

Totally off topic comment:
If you ever have a computer that has an operating system that is no longer supported by Microsoft, that is a sign that you should immediately discard that computer (or donate it to someone). Every time I think that I can upgrade my old reliable computer, I run into a brick wall. And Sue and the kids pay the price. I am in Windows XP Home upgrade Hades right now. I have worked with computers for over 30 years and yet they continue to baffle and confuse me. I am seriously considering chucking technology and moving to a mountaintop in Tibet.

Can I have a ride?

 pixiedust: Pam.

Lily :thumbsup2  I think I'm goin' to start practicing tonight!

Hello Dali, well hello Dali....

Sorry for the aggrevation though. My home PC is rarely used and it will remain at the Win98 OS that came with it.
