Tara...sorry to hear about the face now being swollen. That would be very frustrating. Good luck on booking the Spring Break trip. We only go away for a long weekend then, which is the Tennessee trip. Our spring break is at the end of March. I hate that they moved it away from Easter.

Sherry...I am with you on the going back to bed thing. It is cold here this morning and I seen a few flurries. They are calling for snow. If I let Mandy and Cassie stay up till midnight on a school night I would pay for it the next day, they can be such hinny whinnies when they don't get their sleep.

Morning, all! The DIS has been an absolute PITA for me the last few days. I could read just fine, but when I'd go to reply, it would jump back to the Forums page right in the middle of my typing! Dave said I was grazing the touchpad on the laptop, but it happened on the desktop, too, and I wasn't anywhere near the mouse. Frustrating!!

Sorry to hear you haven't been too perky lately, Elaine. This wierd weather is driving me nuts! We hit 70º on Saturday, and it was 50s yesterday, with plenty of rain. Definitely doesn't feel like January, that's for sure.

Glad you're home again, Tina! Didja have a good trip, at least? My DH's boss was trying to get home from Albequerque over the weekend but got grounded cuz it snowed again in Denver!

Tara, I know you want to wait till you have time off, but I wouldn't fool around with swelling in the facial area, if I were you. There is something going on there and it doesn't sound good, if the Prednisone hasn't made it all go away by now. Good luck and I hope you are able to get it cleared up soon! After all, you've got trips to plan!! Let me know when and where you'll be in Baltimore and maybe Dave & I can buzz up to visit with ya. It's only a bit over an hour for us.

Sounds like you've got the January weather there, Amanda. Hope the new job is going well for ya! Been keeping your nephew and family in my prayers and hoping things improve there, as well.

I'm staying out of the buckeyes/gators (gators/buckeyes...just so I can't be thought of as picking a team ) thing...hope they both win!!

Face isn't as sore today as it was last night. The eye is still red and swollen but not as bad as yesterday. The prednisone worked but I was only on it for 4 days so I've been off of it a while now. I took benedryl before bed last night so that might have kept some of the swelling down. If it doesn't get better in the next couple of days I'll go in early.

Alan...don't ask how I know the whole two by four thing...just remember that I'm not the best carpenter inthe world!! hehehehe

I like the pay as you "go" thing for the potty...i guess i could charge $1 and $2

Man I really need to get to work..i don't want to today!!

Hi y'all! Been doing things around teh house... mostly taking down Christmas things, doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen. I am still not decided 100% if I am going to my BILs & sister's for the game tonight. I know Luis will no matter what.

Don't blame you on spending about that much for a room. I wouldn't call it spoiled... I've stayed in some real dives before and try to avoid it!

Amanda, I'd probably drive you crazy too with the Nintendogs. Luis keeps teasing me about how they are trained I am hoping someone does give me AC for my birthday though. Those kind of games are fun to me. I am trying Super Mario, but OMG, I am so out of practice with those games!

Sherry, glad you made it back. What are the plans for tonigth for you with the game?

Bethie, sorry about the DIS. I know it is still glitchy for me on one computer but not the other. Doesn't make much sense! You sure had nice weather! We didn't get anywhere near that here! Going to snow tonight & tomorrow though, but still not like a normal Jan. We haven't hit close to 0° yet!

Hi all....

Not feeling like doing much of anything today.....once the dryer is hooked up I'll probably be doing laundry for 3 days straight!!

Elaine - that's what I do now - I have a drying rack and a clothesline in my basement...or cellar - whichever you prefer.

Didn't see much if Chris this weekend - don't get me started on what his room looks like. Alyssa got a really nasty tick bite this weekend - she freaked out about it and to make matters worse later in the same day had another one walking across her hand!!

Alyssa's BF brought Jeffrey a new computer (tower) and has been putting programs on it - just ordered more memory for it also.
I week after getting it fixed her laptop died again yesterday so they order a new harddrive.

Speaking of computers - Jeffrey showed me GoogleEarth....how very cool - so of course we found WDW which made me really itchy for another trip.....hm.....perhaps some planning for me.....

As for football - we don't watch college games here - just basking in the glow of the Patriots win yesterday....

Tara - sounds like "the allergic reaction that would not die" - I hope the doctor can come up with a better remedy for you.

Alyssa and I are thinking about going to New York to see Mary Poppins.....waiting to get info on packages - I hate to drive so we are looking into bus tours.

I cannot believe the way OSU is playing. The Gators came in with the best game I have seen them play all season... let's just say I am going to bed.

Not even worth talking about this as they are playing as poorly as Michigan and Notre Dame played. Not sure where OSU is because this isn't even close and this should have been a good game, not a painful one to watch even if we did lose!

Evening all.

So, the leg is driving me crazy still. I call Nurse Kathy (my sister, the newly graduated nurse) and present my symptoms and what I suspect-and she triages further and concurs. Possible RSD in the leg because of all the trauma with the $E%$%@$%@5b ulcers! Can I just say OWWWWWWWWWW?

Google Earth is neat, however, I apparently live in an orange tree or 12. Mapquest also has an orange grove where my house should be, but Yahoo maps shows my house under construction.

Speaking of which, can anyone explain why Weight Watchers is sending mail to Sharon T*** at my address, when we're the only ones who lived here and before we were here, it was an orange grove? No, not the PO Box, the physical address-weird. I should also not there is no one with this last name in the neighborhood-checked with the HOA.

So, I suppose I should hold off talking about my plans to enroll in UF's distance learning program for September? There's the small issue of taking 4 prerequisite courses first (and I'm waiting for the email back telling me CLEPs can be substituted)

Tara, please don't wait if that swelling doesn't go down. You're worrying me!

Yep, the blasted leg woke me up. I'm back to the couch and since the last pill wore off, I'm beating it with two pills. Doc is getting a call in the am-this is not the way to deal with it. Hopefully he's got some ideas on how to get the knives out of my leg.
