Beth sorry you have to work...but I have to ask...when did you put the Member cruise thingy in your siggie?? That is too cool!! We want to do the cruise in a few years when the boys (or are they girls?) are older and can be trusted out of my sight for longer than 3 minutes!!

Hope everyone had a great holiday. I'm getting ready to pick up my cross stitch (i'm in the zone on this other picture now that the stocking is finished!) and watch the Rose parade. I LOVE this parade and never miss it!!

Good morning all! Heading over to my dad's shortly.

Bethie, sorry aobut the work, but woo hoo on the cruise!!! My least favorite day to work was actaully the 4th of July... I worked where we sold liquor... busiest I have *ever* been!!!

I hope you will have fun on the cruise though... I have alway$ wanted to do a Di$ney Crui$e but $omething alway$ $eem$ to get in my way of $ailing on the Di$ney Wonder or Magic

I will have to ketchup in a bit. I'm on DS's laptop. My power chord split in half so my laptop is dead as a doorknob. Gotta get it over to Best Buy and see if the warranty will cover it, or if I need to buy a new one.

Had a fun NYE. Went to Junior's aunt's for dinner, then came home and BIL, SIL, and nephew came over and we played Wii Sports and then watched the ball drop and rang in the new year. Around 12:30 the other BIL & SIL & nephew came over, along with some friends and we watched One Night With The King (great movie..second time seeing it) then did some more Wii playing. They didn't leave until 5 a.m. and Junior and I went to bed around 5:30.

Beth, sorry you have to work. Yay for the cruise! Junior and I want to do one soon!!

Junior went with 2 of the boys to pick up 2 of there cousins. They are gonna spend the afternoon/evening here playing video games and hanging out. Gonna order some pizza and just veg.

Suzanne, yuck on the hang over people. I would imagine it would have been nicer for everyone to just stay home! Hoping the blahs were gone by the time you got up this morning.

LOL, Sorry Rose Mary... I was still recovering in a way and spending my last day with my brother. He went back this morning with his wife... and he starts grad school again on Monday! So we probably won't be able to see him quite as much for a while.

LOL!! Did it just before I left for work yesterday. Now that we're signed up for this cruise, we get a newsletter and one of the cruisers started a thread so we can all get to know one another over the next 9 1/2 months. They provided the siggie pic already made so all we had to do was copy and paste. They also host a website and ask everybody to send in their DIS names and real names, plus a lot of optional info like cabin number, what seating time chosen for dinner, birthdates and anniversary dates, etc. That way, if any of us want to try to hook up with other people for different activities or at dinner, we can. It seems many of them already know each other from past cruises.

Oh, and Elaine, it didn't seem all that expen$ive to us. This is the DVC member cruise, which cost 270 points for the two of us, which includes all the taxes and the little add-on fees and tips. Even the ca$h price wa$ le$$ than the co$t of your newe$t camera!! We DID opt for one of the cheapest levels and an inside room, so we won't have a porthole or anything. We're on Deck 7 and we've already been told by former cruisers that we got a GREAT location cuz we're towards the back of the boat, not too far from the elevators and the 24 hour drink station!

Paula, so happy for you that you didn't have to work the double shift after all. What a crock your co-workers were handing you. Hope they are all recovered and back on the job so YOU can get some well-deserved rest. Sounds like you all had a great Christmas, at least. That necklace and earring set sounds positively gorgeous!!

Awww, Sherry, so sorry to hear about your laptop. Luckily, a power cord is easily replaced. Hope it's covered and they have the right size in stock so you are back on your own machine very soon. What a fun NYE you had, though!! It's been a long time since I've been able to stay up all night like that, though. Did you nap a lot yesterday?

Need to get my shower and get dressed. I don't have to be at the store till 2 but I am anxious to get back to work on some little Disney books I'm making for my faux grandson. He's only 5 months old, but he needs picture books so he can learn to identify all the Disney characters on sight before he makes his first trip to WDW! Hope ya'll have a great day!! As for us we enjoyed a Saturday of good food, opening gifts, shooting a few daytime fireworks (parachutes involved) and visiting family.

On NYE, we were at my brother's home and hung out all day. A lot of relatives came over that evening and we had quite the redneck firework show, then stayed up and watched a UFC pay per view event taped the previous night. You just can't hide culture.

On New Year's Day, we did have our black eyed peas (cooked with ham, but no coin in it), greens (in this case, butterbeans and brussel sprouts), and cornbread so maybe it will be a good year

Today Junior goes back to work. And the boys go back to school tomorrow. I hate to see our break end. We had such a good time.

Beth, no naps yesterday. I slept until 11:45. I did fall asleep this morning on the sofa for almost 2 hrs. I feel worse today than I did yesterday. I'm in trouble tomorrow morning. Yay for the cruise. And what a cute idea for your faux grandson.

Alan, sounds like a fun new year for you.

Suzanne, glad all the Medicaid stuff worked out for you. The Wii players are having a blast. I'm sore, though, from all the tennis and bowling.

Elaine, glad you had a nice visit with your brother. I hope I can get my cord easily replaced, too.

A great big thanks to Elaine!! I have to sneak into the dis via the ip addy and apparently they changed the address and didn't tell me!! I could, however, send PMs. So I sent Elaine a PM and begged, pleaded, and offered her my first born if she would give me the new addy. She readily agreed and told me to keep the first born...she would prefer one with less "issues" (just kidding!!)

So here I am now.

Beth that sounds like a great deal on the trip. So does this mean no WDW at Christmas time next year?

OOOHHH i get to call tomorrow to pay off my DVC and then I can call on Wednesday to book my trip (that is my 11 month mark) well, I guess I can call..hopefully I don't have to wait until they close to do it! If so then I guess I wait.

I'm kinda bummed today...a lady that used to teach at my school died on Sunday of cancer. She had beaten breast cancer once and was fine until about 2 months ago and then she just went down hill. But what bothers me is that she has 3 kids, the youngest is a year older than Jarrod, and I just keep imagining what it would be like to know you are going to die and leave your young kids without a mom. What's worse is that her two oldest girls (both in high school) lost their father to brain cancer when they were young. So both parents dead of cancer before they even got out of school. It has made me decide that I really want to either be hit by a bus/truck/train rather than to get sick and have time to think about the future.

Tara, I know around here some are still off with their kids for school... I owuld imagine all are busy with that or just getting back int o the swing of things with work, so you didn't kill anything.

I'm busy running errands and cleaning the house. This time a real and deep clean before people come on Saturday/

Bethie, I hope you have fun on the cruise! It doesn't seem too bad of a cost, but sadly at the moment I don't think I could plan a cruise in the first place. At least not for a while I'll have to look into it again for other cruises in the future. In reality I am thinking of trying out HH and seeing how I like that kind of a vacation.

Sherry, if it does need to be replaced, I highly suggest looking online for the replacement. I saved almost 50% by doing that.
good luck tomorrow morning... I do hope it won't be too rough to get back into that.

Yeah, Alan there are things about me that are hard to change... calling CDs anything other than albums is one of them
