Lips are finally their appropriate fullness. It only took 11 hours for the swelling to go down. I am going to sleep on the couch tonight because we are afraid that maybe there is something in my room that is causing it and if I sleep on the couch and nothing happens then we will know there is something in my room.

i have a storage space off of my bedroom and when we pulled out all the boxes for christmas (which are sitting in the floor of my room) this started...of course I didn't think about connecting the two until this afternoon. There might be some kind of mold spore in their or dust thingies that could be doing it.

mom said my face scared her because my lips looked like my brothers when he nearly died of an anaphalactic reaction to penecillian when he was 2 yo.

So after the doc appt. tomorrow I'm picking up the gang and we are going to hit hte malls. Didn't make it today so we'll do it tomorrow!

Boys have spent the Christmas $. Well, except Jonathan. He's saving for an MP3 player. Stopped at Golden Corral for dinner and the boys have been playing the new games they bought all evening.

Good Morning! Got an early wake up call...Greg left this morning without his driver's license, money or credit card and looked at his gas gauge half way to work and found he had 5 miles til empty so he called and asked me to drive him his stuff I crawled out of my warm bed, gathered his stuff and drove it to him. Poor guy had to turn off the car so he didn't run out of gas in the parking lot waiting for me. When he reached in my car to get his stuff he said my car was REALLY warm He said he owed me big time! I think I will remind him of that....often!

So now there is no hope of going back to bed...I am wide awake, I guess I could do some I have TONS to do! I am also thinking about taking a drive over to the outlet mall. I have some towels that I would like to see if they come in a differant color...I really don't like the color we got.

Greg has decided that Chip NEEDS to go to puppy school. And he does! He is really a good little guy, but has LOTS of puppy and terrier (read I don't have to listen to you if I don't want to) in him. We never took Barkley (and he should have gone too) and really regreted that Barkley was never socialized with other dogs. In fact, he really hated most other animals...so we really want to get Chip used to all the stuff that puppies need to know about. He already thinks his name is NO! Actually, he is very good at knowing his name. When he wants to, he will come when called, sit on command and he LOVES to play fetch. Ah, puppies! But the good news is....Chip has slept through the night for 3 nights in a row I am very happy about that. It is so nice to sleep again!! If you ever think about getting a puppy....ask me to remind you just how much work they are...tehn ask me to remind you just how much fun they are

Sherry, glad to hear you got your shopping with the boys done! That sounds like it can be quite the feat!

Well, if i don't start the now, I never will.....but I really don't want too.....

I had a great time w/my family then had to come back Christmas Eve so DS could go to his dad's family Wish I could have stayed longer w/my mom and sis's. Took yesterday off and moped, didn't help anything. Now I have New year's to look forward to.........NOT! I'm in a really bummer mood today (bet you couldn't tell) and don't want to be at work. So, I'm trying to put all my energy into it so the day will fly by.

Good morning friends!

My house was filled with laughter last night - Alyssa had 3 of her friends over to watch POTC and play Movie Scene It - I have to admit I snuck away from my desk several times to answer the questions.
Chris went to the mall to spend his gift card taht was burning a hole in his pocket and I'm happy to say came home at midnight as asked and even sat up and talked with me for a while (yes - I waited up to make sure he came home).

No plans for today - except I'll be joining Liz on patrol. Friday is Christopher's birthday - I haven't bought him anything yet - we need to go to the DMV to renew his license and also to another counselors appt - I told him we'd go out for Chinese for lunch - and maybe I'll take him to the mall - I have to work Friday night so no big 18th party planned - I should talk to Jeffrey about letting him have friends over - that way I won't worry about him being out "celebrating".

Liz - I agree with you on puppy school being important - we didn't train Casey either - she still thinks "come" means "keep running - we love to chase you"....
Tara - good luck at your doctors appt today - hope they can isolate the source for you - don't want you being "pouty for life" - let us know if you get any good deals at the mall!!
Sherry - I love boys - can't keep their $$ for too long!! haha

Liz, it sounds like Chip has quite taken a place in y'all's hearts. I agree that she does look adorable. I did not grow up with dogs at the house (believe it or not) and Mrs. AA's came to us fully trained. However, we did raise a puppy for a guide dog school several years ago and they paid for me to attend an obedience class with her. It was a great class and we learned a lot about modifying behavior, etc.



Rose, I was listening to "Simple Man" while reading your post, so I had Skynyrd and Jacksonville on my mind. I hope your day gets better


Lela and Abigail are going to the dentist for cleanings today, but Lela has to have a tooth extracted. (Eventually she will remove another) Her permanent teeth are coming in crooked and we are hoping to give them some room to drop in straighter and avoid the braces.

Back from the doc...ya'll are gonna love this...she said it is "idiopathic facial edema" leave it to me to have "idiot" in my diagnosis!! Basically, it is swelling that has no known cause. So I have 4 days of prednisone and 30 days of zyertec. After that jsut take benedryl and hope for the best!

They weren't as bad today as yesterday...the nurse that looked at the picture said it kind of looked like a blowfish!!

RM...hope you get to feeling better!

Paula...sounds like a fun night. Good luck with Chris' birthday party.

Liz...puppy school!! hehehe I hope he gets a good edumication!!

Off to score some lunch and then hit the mall!!

Sherry, I was ashamed to admit I didn't know what a Wii was. You've confirmed my guess that it's some kind of new game thingy! I loved Space Invaders on the Atari, too !! Kudos to Jonathan for wanting to save up for the MP3. My kids would just settle for whatever they could get with what $$ they had at the moment.

So glad to hear your house was so full of cheer last night, Paula! You definitely deserve to enjoy some of that!! And what a beautiful nativity set, it's gorgeous and they did a lovely job creating the base and stable, too. Nice that Chris made time to chat with you--that's progress! Hope all goes smoothly with the counselor meeting, DMV renewal, and the military exam.

Aww, Rose Mary, sorry you're out of sorts. Sounds like we just might need to have a Ya Ya New Year's party. Glad you got to enjoy some holiday time with your family, at least. Didja get any specially good presents??!

I'm back with my idiotic itchy lips! And ya'll are right...its the docs not me! I'm getting ready to take some benedryl for the itching so I won't be long for this evening.

My mall stop was a huge success:

Got a $75 coat for jarrod then it was 50% off
Got sweaters for the boys for next christmas $28 each, paid $12.99
Got two turtle necks for the boys for $6.99 each
Got Ethan a 3 piece outfit: Jeans, Elmo sweater, and blue turtle neck...was $46, got it for $23.
THEN...I applied for and got a Macy's card so they took another 20% off of that and when I get my bill they will take ANOTHER 15% off!!

So I hit the Christmas shop and got a couple of things for 50 to 60 percent off. Then we were walking past their purses and I said I needed a new purse so I went looking through their purses and found two 9 West handbags that were 30% off, plus 20% more if you used your Macy's card and then I get my additional 15% off for opening the account today (you get that for the first two days you have the card). So I got two designer purses for about $70 that are normally $70 for one!!!

I think I did a darn good job today!! I also hit Walmart and bought more net lights for my house for next year.

Okay, I'm off to have some pumpkin pie and whipped cream and then take my meds and go to sleep!! See ya'll in hte morning!!

I admit I am busy with the family... and have been having trouble posting about 1/3 of the time I do try to post. Working out the bugs from the upgrade I guess.

Bethie, how is retail life going during the holidays! I think at some point I plan to go out to Target to see what I can spend my money on We are thinking of getting a Nintendo DS for me for now... later on we are looking at the Nintendo wii. Just something the two of us are willing to do together.

Tara, great job on the shopping! Sounds like you found some awesome sales! I haven't looked at doing my Christmas card shopping yet. Though I know I need to do it soon... better than paying full price next year

Amanda, hope you are feeling better soon. We are, fortunately, free of extra church stuff for the remainder of the week. Our priests are available, but in general our church is closed for the week. It was eerily quiet when I went in yesterday to do the music.
I would love flannel sheets here. But considering Luis always sleeps super hot, I am not sure I would ever get them... oh well, my pile of blankets will work

Good Morning! Never got to my laundry So I guess I will attempt to get it done today

We have been doing a whole lot of nothing here....but we have managed to watch A LOT of movies. We did the Blockbuster thing and we LOVE it! Not only do you get the 3 movies in the mail, but you can return them to the store for a free rental while you wait for the others to be shipped! Last night was Father of the Bride...tonight part 2....and the night before Freaky Friday! Last week was Cars, Ice Age 2, Mnster House, Little Miss Sunhine and a few others I can't remember. We are definately getting our money's worth out of the free trail I think we may even keep the thing throughout the winter. Yeah, I can finally catch up on all those Disney movies I have never seen!

ELaine, glad things have quieted down some for you! Sounds like you have been quite busy.

Amanda, so you are not feeling well. I hope you can shake this thing quickly. Thanks for the heads up on the sheets. I will have to take a look. Greg really NEEDS some new sheets, but he is not abig fan of flannel....maybe that will get him out of my bed and back into his. (He has been sleeping in my bed which is far away from where Chip sleeps. I have been sleeping in his bed so I can get up with Chip in the middle of the night. My bed is FAR more comfy than his. And now with Chip leeping through the night, he does not want to switch back ) I may have to get some flannel sheets for my bed

Woke up feeling not-so-great today - hopefully it will pass - I'd like to venture out to Hallmark and Target and Kohls today to see if I can catch any sales - maybe stop at Panera for lunch too.

Sound like everyone that has the Wii is having fun with it - I think Chris is finally out of that stage - he seems to be satisfied with regular old XBOX.

Speaking of handbags - did I tell you guys that I bought Alyssa a COACH wristlet? It's dark blue denim with brown leather trim - I was not sure if she would like it bucause she is definitely not into designer names - etc - but - she loved it and she said "I like the dark print - not too flashy" .

Well - maybe a shower will make me feel better....or maybe using my last sick day.....now there's a thought....

Actually, it has taken most of a year for us to allow her to have free reign of the house, which was not true with her other past dogs.

Apparently this breed matures much more slowly, and she has chewed and devoured several objects in the house.

But her work is sharp, even if she is a goof
