Morning!

Today is the boy's last day of school. And I won't have the nephew after today either (BIL works at a school). :woohoo: I need the break.
Today is the Sing-A-Long at Julian's school so we will be going to that this afternoon. :)

Lily, DID NOT!! :teeth:

Beth, slow down girl!!!

Motoring through. Have a good day, everyone. Mine will be better once the meds kick in-ow!

Suzanne

Morning!

No time to chat at the moment. Darn work has to get in the way of play time. :confused3

Later................

:badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: Not having a good day!

I will be back when I am in a better mood......It might be a while.... :rotfl:

:grouphug: :moped:

Hi y'all! I will try to stop in as I can, but it seems like I will be busy for a while now.

I loved the egg nog story... though I admit chocolate sounds nasty and I can only take a little egg nog in small quanities now. It's too sweet.

I have cleaning to do at my house and my dad's. I also have to try to decorate his tree for him and bring down the presents. I'll bring mine over then too :)

I"ll be back when I can but I wouldn't expect to see me much until after the New Year now!

Hi gang,

just a quick bump. No assistant today so I actually have to do all my own stunts today!! hehehehe

back later!

A quick note before I head home....

Lily...love the hair cut. Looks very easy to care for. I know Todd would not like it though. What is it with men and long hair.

Elaine...Muscle and Fitness is the one I chose, even before seeing your suggestions. I went to Wally World, picked one up, the ordered a subscription online. Glad it sounds like a good choice.

Santa don't wrap here. Presents are ready to go first thing!

Gotta go!

Just be careful...... :rolleyes1

Boys are officially on Chrismtas break. :bounce: I won't have as much computer time now, though, as one always wants my laptop. :rolleyes1 I'm on Jonathan's right now since Jared is on mine. :lmao: Guess I'll finally get the reading in that I've been putting off. :teeth:

Tara, hope your day went smoothly.

Kimmar, love that pic! :lmao:

Elaine, good luck with the cleaning and decorating. I have to clean too. Just found out inlaws are coming here on Christmas day.

Jarrod's homework was to spend 30 minutes cleaning his bedroom and to note the time on the clock....so in 7 minutes he had everythiing shoved under his bed! :lmao: He has now spent the last 25 minutes to take everything out and put it where it belongs!! hehehehehe

Ya'll have a great night...i'll stop back tomorrow to give this a bump!!

tara

Good morning everyone! I have a busy day ahead. I need to try to go shopping for my dad for a Christmas present for his mom. He had a hard time figuring out what to get her and how cold she is in the hospital made it easier... so I am going to brave the malls and find a robe for her. Hopefully I will get lucky at the local mall.

Sherry, I saw your comment from earlier... you haven't scared us away. I just have a feeling everyone is squirming to do last minute Christmas stuff. You are much nicer than I am to share the laptop! And good luck prepping for your in laws!!!

Okay so that's my excuse, but in all fairness, I wasn't expecting to have to clean my place and my dad's and prep for everything for him :p

Amanda, glad you got the magazine ordered. Great minds must think alike then, if that was what you chose before you even saw my post. Though not sure you want to be a great mind with Luis there :p

:rotfl:
Tara i did that once, though I shoved it all in the closet! Sadly with the unexpected company it stayed that way :teeth:

I'll try to check in more, but not sure that is likely. I also have an open house I should go to tonight.

Need to pack up my desk today. We are off tomorrow since Christmas Eve falls on the weekend. :goodvibes

Sherry....Girls last day was also yesterday. I left Todd and them a small pre-Christmas gift on the counter this morning.

Elaine...I just hope my BIL likes it. Not sure he reads much.

Tara...That would be Cassie's way of cleaning. She has learned that doesn't work with me. Mandy said her room was cleaned and said I would like to see her room. Her next comment was "I hate when you want to see my room". Needless to say she now knows what must be cleaned before Saturday. I told them if they want the toys, etc that are coming then the rooms have to get ready for it by Saturday. We'll see what happens.

Rainy here....suppose to stop by Saturday :cool1:

Have a terrific Thursday everyone!

Morning Ya Yas!

Liz, sorry that you've got a rough patch. Hope all is better soon.

Amanda, what a great idea to leave something for them to wake up and find today.

Suzanne, saying prayers and sending PD that the ouchies go away already.

Tara, hoping you have things going smoothly there.

Sherry, enjoy the J-men while they are on break.

Bethie, I hope you can unwind some from all the coming and going you've got yourself tangled around.

Elaine, it sounds like a big task you've got there cleaning two houses. Take it easy and enjoy the time with your Dad.

Santa wrapped some presents sometimes, not in the same paper. The kids liked that Santa sometimes played with their gifts some before he left and left them out too as he ran off to deliver to other children.

Tonight after work I will double check. I think everything is all set and ready for me to dig away when I get home from work tomorrow. I've got the weekend prep so I've been letting everyone else play with the other set up. We get half day off for Christmas Eve and that gives us half day Friday off here. Whatever doesn't get done in the cleaning and preening department is not going to worry me. It's family over so they can deal with it.

Big item bought. I almost didn't get it. The puzzle that we always begin on Christmas Eve is in the house. Whew! I haven't opened the box to see if it is of the style that will not be too challenging. We like one that can be finished without stress. Some pieces are cut so alike it is too difficult for us.

Morning!

Ahh, it felt so good to sleep in. :teeth: Figured I'd jump on here before one of the boys wants the laptop.

Amanda, that was sweet to leave Todd & the girls a gift. :)

Tara, my boys clean the same way. Everything gets stuffed wherever they can find. And this is true even now, as teens. :rolleyes1 The one that gets me the most is throwing all the clothes in the laundry room and saying the room is clean. :furious: Most times, the clothes are still folded. :furious:

Elaine, believe me, it is easier to give them the laptop. Then they don't bother me. ;) :teeth: Hope you find the robe easily. I got my mom a robe from Bath & Body Works. That is what she wanted. :teeth:

Lily, have fun with your puzzle. :)

Rainy day here, too. Don't have anything to do today, though, except return some movies.

Morning all.....

I intend to actually stay home today.....maybe even start wrapping... :goodvibes ....keep that eggnog cold Rosemary - I haven't forgotten you!! hehe.
Actually I'm afraid if I do go out I'll be in "just one more gift syndrome" - haha.

Alyssa and boyfriend exchanged they Christmas gifts on Tuesday - not sure if I told you - I was laughing - not even wrapped - just handed each other the boxes - she bought him some fancy-scmancy power supply for his computer and he bought her a new stereo for my/our car. As I chuckled to myself all I could think was "how romantic - she has found the equivalent to her father".

Brought lots of gifts to my co-worker yesterday - she was in tears and it was just so gratifying to hear her saying "this is too much - we don't need all of this' - very humbling and it really made me feel that we were doing a good thing (not to mention that I know for sure she'd be first in line if it was any of us).

So - presents bought - well just need 1 restaurant gift cert for in laws - cards written - think I'm in good shape - maybe baking today.
Things are up and down with Chris - he stayed after school yesterday to make up work for today - he and some of his friends are attending one of their teachers dad's funeral.

Tara - you will have to tell Jar that if he hides things instead of really cleaning time stands still..... :rotfl:

Lily - how cool that you have your puzzle tradition - I'm thinking that would not fare well in my house with a certain feline!! :cat:

Amanda - good luck with desk re-location - and with the girls cleaning - which reminds me .....god both my kids rooms look like a cyclone went thru.... :tigger:
Hi Elaine - I hope you find what you need at the mall quickly so you can get in and out - I went yesterday and JC Penney and Macys both had great sales. :teleport:
Sherry - that will be me next week I'm sure - requesting time on my own computer - seeing that my work one is the only one in the house that is functioning.... :surfweb:
Liz....hope today is a better one for you. :flower3:
Kimmar....love the pic as always. :thumbsup2
Suzanne -hope things are going ok with the meds.... :daisy:

I'm off to get organized - I'll check in a bit later....

Good morning gang,

the kids are at an assembly so I have time to do a ketchup (I hope!)

Paula...that's wonderful that you all were able to help you coworker. I hope things improve for her. I like the idea of time standing still when you hide everything!!

Elaine...how is grandma doing? I think a robe for her is a great idea. Also, I don't know if you brave WalMart but in their holiday section they have these throw blankets that are the softest things in the world. I bought one for a pollyana and one for my couch! She could throw it over her bed since they don't give you enough covers in a hospital bed!

Lily...cute do and cute sweet potatoe!! I used to call my old car the grape! It was a purple saturn and reminded me of a grape! I like your idea of if you're not done cleaning oh well its family!! If I didn't have such picky and snooty family I'd go for it in a heart beat!

Alan...enjoy your family time and getting ready for the holidays!! Oh and why do Alabama lic. plates say something about the "Stars"? I can't think of the whole phrase but I'm sure you know what I mean! Any thing else been eaten off of your christmas tree?

Liz...we want pics of chip!! Glad you survived your moms visit! Have fun getting the rest of your stuff done!!

Sherry...my son does the same thing with the clean clothes...however, I've gotten him back...I go through his room and pick up clothes off of the floor and put them back in his dresser. When he tells me they were dirty I just tell him I couldn't tell the difference between the clean ones and the dirty ones! Honestly if he wore clothes that were muddy he wouldn't really care! glad your kids are off school but sorry you have to fight for the computer!

RM...I'll have egg nog with you too! yummy!! I love egg nog. I like it warm with a hint of spirits!! yummy!! I don't drink a lot of it but I do enjoy it. Is your son ready for Christmas? Is he driving you nuts about it?

Suzanne...hope your leg is feeling better. Good luck with it!! You were talking about the food coloring...we don't have that issue but we have the sugar issue...If he eats a lot of sugar in the morning (other than what is in the oatmeal bar) then he becomes the devil incarnate! We made the mistake of letting him have Mickey waffles with syrup one morning at WDW and we paid for it the rest of the day! :faint: He had pancakes for dinner last night...he had chicken fingers at dad's house but we were having pnacakes and he wanted some...and he was fine. I think it has to do with it being first thing in the am without having any protein!

Beth...glad you enjoyed your Christmas time at WDW. Hope things settle down for you. I have a scrapping day planned for Friday the 29th. :woohoo:

Pam...has the hunting season been successful this year? I know I've been collecting the road kill pelts for you on my way to work each morning...but the cafe kitchen manager complained that I was holding them in the cafe fridge so i had to get rid of them!

Amanda....I've told my son that he needs to weed through all of his toys to make room for his new things!! He is a pack rat and this is going to be hard for him! I remember hiding things under my bed too...but my mom would take care of that when we would go to see our father in CA. We'd get home and find two or three giant garbage bags at the curb :lmao:

Todd...how's the first day of christmas vacation with the girls? Are you letting them play the game cube or are you hogging it today?

Okay, the goons are returning now...so I better greet them! Have a great day all!!

Morning!

I seem to be having a better day today! :thumbsup2 Yesterday started with the news that Greg's bosses brother Tom had died. He was only 50 and has been fighting lung cancer for just about a year. Sad that he is gone, but all are happy that he suffers no more. I am sure this will be a tuff time for them, especially so close to the holidays, but they are one strong and determined family that is very close. If you have any thoughts to spare for them, it would be appreciated. We will be heading up to Michigan Saturday for the funeral.

After news about Tom, Chip thought he might try to see how my heart was doing. He was in his crate chewing on it when all of a sudden he started screaming! I was freaking out! He got his nose and teeth stuck in one of the little wire squares. There was no room for me to get my hands in there to unstick him. I was freaking out, he was screaming. It was a total nightmare. Finally, I have no idea how I did this, but I finally was able to get his mouth unstck and his nose out of the cage. I thought for sure I was going to have brken something...his nose, jaw, tooth or something. But thankfully, he was alright....and has not chewed on his cage since. :wizard:

Cookies are all baked and plated and just need to be delivered. I was going to deliver thme today but forgot that Greg needed to take his car in for service, and he would need mine today....so maybe this evening we can deliver the cookies and be done with that. I have 7 huge trays sitting here and they NEED to go away before I start to eat them. :)

So that was my trauma for yesterday. Thankfully today is a new day. I have a house to clean and a few things to get done...but I think that is all we need to do for Christmas. We are very low key this year...no tree or decorations....so that means no mess after Christmas either :thumbsup2 We really aren't doing presents this year either with all that needs to be done with the house. I did take Chip to Glamour Shots and the pictue is just adorable...if I can say so...after Greg gets his copy, I will have hime scan it and post it. But until I find my digital camera, I still just have this one picture...

ebd7022f.jpg

This has totally been an EIOP post....sorry! When Chip takes a nap this afternoon I will be sure to ketchup properly.....He just woke up from his morning nap...and I am guessing I better take him outside....in the rain!

Have a good day one and all. I hope everybody can get done wha they need too!!
