What's the reasoning for that? :confused3 I rode a big ol' yeller bus all through high school, but then again, it was about 40 minutes away too.

School levy didn't pass, and that was one of the things they cut. :rolleyes1
Thankfully we are only about 10 minutes away from the HS, but it still stinks.

Well, you've got to admit - some of us are the type you might meet in a back alley somewhere anyway.

:lmao: :lmao:

Alan--I got to give you credit for always finding them pics... :rotfl2:
great ketchup.. :thumbsup2

Sherry--the girls were playing Zelda on the game cube on the way home & the sad thing was I was trying to help them out while I was driving(I knew where they were at by the sounds..lol...Mandy was trying to beat a boss). They loved being able to play game cube on the trip to & fro disney... :thumbsup2

Elaine--Cassie keeps asking about seeing POTC 2... :confused3 .. I haven't seen it yet.. :rolleyes1 but I think St. Nick will have it.. :teeth: .. Maybe I can find #1 & #2 together, would like to get both on DVD..

Thanks for the reviews Tara - I enjoyed reading them!

In fact, it was strange to read a report with you that did not seem to include a misadventure (other than a deep fried critter, of course)
Well I left out the part about rolling over my sunglasses with my chair here at work just before I left that day...had to go get the brand new glasses put back together again!

Then the morning we got to the airport we drove around for 20 minutes looking for a handicapped spot and the closest ones were the farthest away from the building and of course we made a few wrong turns and ended up having to drive out of the parking structure, explaining to the clerk what had happened so we weren't charged for the 10 minutes in the lot and trying agin! My mom and I had the giggles and Jarrod was freaking out that we were going to miss our airplane!!

We did have lots of fun at the World after mom finally broke down and got an ECV :moped: ...she ran into a few things and tried to drive off one bus before the ramp was down :lmao: The driver was a bit ticked but I thought it quite comical!!

But all in all the trip was really mishap free. :teeth:

We had to change rooms after the first night because they put us on the second floor (we requested first floor in bldg. 26 and got 2nd floor bldg 31 :confused3 ) I explained that my mom couldn't do stairs for 10 days and so the second day they moved us to the first floor. It was a good room though.

Speaking of bowling alley's...my brother used to do a bit in his comedy routine about going to Ocean View (I'm sure Sherry knows about Ocean View) where according to his routine, "they had actual homeless people in the gutters. They even offered to polish my balls for me." :teeth: Remember that is from my brother the comedian!!!!

I think a bowling meet would be good!! woohoo!!

JOhn have a good trip!!

Todd...I don't blame you for playing hookey! Jarrod wanted to this morning but I forced him to get up and get going!!

glad you liked my reviews! I really did enjoy all of our eating experiences!!

oops...gotta run and look busy!!
tara

Tara--the girls were up nice & early yesterday..They were excited about taking things from Disney to their friends & wanted me to drive them to school(I didn't have a car)They couldn't wait another day, I would've drove them today... :sad2:

Alan.... what am I to do with you?

Okay you Clevelanders. I heard from Luis and he was still 3 miles out. He wants to know why when the roads aren't that bad, that y'all have 15 car pile ups? :p He said it wasn't physically that bad out (compared to what we see here) but apparently no one remembered how to drive in snow.

I didn't realize that most HS students could take the bus. Ours never had it, and honestly, it wasn't due to no levy passing. Not enough had the need for it I guess :confused3
I admit, I couldn't imagine taking a bus to HS

Todd, PotC2 is good, but #1 was better. I have a feeling that #3 will be even better than #1... just a feeling I get based on the story line. I saw it a few times in the theater :p

Tara, if you ever go agian with your mom, rent her an ECV for the week... we loved it for my aunt!! Silly question... and this is me not knowing since I am DVC and I do know that not all buidlings have an elevator... but do they have elevators at that resort? Just totally curious. I rarely ever take them when I am in a resort no matter what.

Is it time to go home yet? :bored:
::yes:: POTC was better than POTC2 and can't wait for 3.
Tara-Where did ya'll stay? No elevator? Loved your dining review and it really did seem that your trip was less stress filled than others. Whew! That was hard to get out, LOL!
So, Lily what's the date for the cabbage Perogies? :teeth: have a safe trip to clinic with your mom.
Sherry- No bus thing does stink! DS will be able to take the bus next yr. But, we will probably wind up driving him anyway

Back to work.............

Just out for lunch. The roads didn't seem bad. But you are correct about drivers in NE Ohio. You would think that we could remember from year to year what it is like to drive in snow. My college roommate had a phrase for it that I can't repeat on the DIS. It had something to do with <blanks> on parade.

I hope that Luis finds his way to/from his destination. He's always welcome to stay at our house. And the good news is that the snow has ended for the time being and that the evening commute is not expected to be a problem.

Hi gang,

Yep I'm avoiding work. I have a headache this afternoon (sinus' I think) so I don't want to work.

Elaine...CBR doesn't have an elevator in any of it's buildings. Neither does POR. Saratoga does. Does OKW?

We did end up getting the ecv on Tuesday for the rest of the week. I tried talking her into it before we left and she didn't want to admit that she would need it. But once she got it she felt 100 times better. I liked that we got on the buses first :teeth: She did get the classic looks from people that said "you're just fat and lazy". But overall it wasn't bad. I was really impressed with the company that we got the ECV from. I called Monday night at 11pm and got the company answering machine and the man called back at 6 am on Tuesday. I didn't get the message until 730 am and we had the ECV by 8:45. I saved the name and number of the company so I can set it up for the next time.

I just pulled out my photopass CD and man are there some ugly pictures!! There are some really cute ones of the kids and I hope to have them uploaded for viewing here soon. The one's with me and my non mom jeans my pudgy belly will not be for viewing! blech!

back in a little bit. Have to pretend to work for a few minutes!

 :wizard:

Paula, hang in there... we're here if you need to talk  Prayers have been said for you all!

Glad to hear that part of the good news with the weather, John! I hope Luis will be on his way home soon. I have no idea what to do for supper in the mean time.
Totally funny how people seem to freak out with the weather for the first major snow/rain/whatever storm of the year. I guess we can't remember much from month to month :p

Oh cool! I am so glad that you were able to get one rented from a company. I believe we used Walker Medical for our trip with my aunt. They were great and it was awesome to have the ECV waiting for her.
I didn't realize that POR didn't have elevators either. Not quite as shocked about CBR though. I know that CSR had them when we were there (my aunt took them now and then). OKW doesn't have them in the majority of the buildings. Out of 64 buildings total, only 3 have elevators. I'm just nosey and curious mostly :teeth:

Rose Mary, I hearby say it is time for you to go!!!!!!

And since Rose Mary should now be gone for the day ;)

My dad sent this to me earlier

Elaine, love that pic! :lmao: :bounce:
Hope Luis has a safe trip home.

Paula, and prayers on the way.

Tara, hope the headache goes away soon.

Hey ! Wait a minute. I'm not gone home yet! That isn't fair! :sad2:
Is that some kind of torture or something since you know I can't view pictures at work? Now I'll have to speed all the way home......... :p

Alan, no one is talking to you anymore ;)

Rose Mary, I didn't mean to do it that way... I forgot you can't see most pics at work. It's nothing you'd care about though :rolleyes1

Well Luis is up in Cleveland still... he will be home tomorrow. Just was too much work to do in one day and with him being late getting there due to weather, he had to stay. Poor thing is tired and in bed at the moment at his hotel.

:lmao: Alan!

Rose Mary, no speeding!! You wouldn't wanna see the pic anyway! :lmao:

Elaine, sorry that Luis won't be home until tomorrow.

Anyone want a 16 yo or 14 yo boy? :rolleyes1
