Amanda, guess we should have Ed tell Todd why he's not getting one right now-no one to watch the kids while he goes riding. I think I'm in trouble when the boys hit middle school. And Todd, :duck: for thinking you can get better than what you've got!

Suzanne

I never said better... :rolleyes1 ...She's as good as I can get... :cloud9:

Tara--You & Amanda setting up plans yet?
I see MVMCP is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday...Have to do Ozzy Osbourne lights one of them nights & see Fantasmic & stunt show...

I did almost all the thanksgiving shopping today..by myself :woohoo: ..only messed up a couple of things :rolleyes1 ..The shopping list Amanda made was absolutely magnifeat. :thumbsup2

Thanks again y'all! Between Luis and y'all I am lucky :)

Paula I've heard about that... maybe it was Alan telling me he saw a few of them out there yesterday... that's three days  I guess technically they can start selling some at midnight, but still...

Todd, not sure if it s still true or not, but Fantasmic was only Sunday, Monday & Tuesday when we went. Might want to check that before you make too many plans. I'd avoid MVMCP on a Friday, it's horrid and so packed (at least from my experience).
Good job on the TG menu... I am hoping for a good menu for us at Luis' parents ::yes::

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Elaine. I will keep both you and Luis in my prayers.

:grouphug: Elaine and Luis.

:guilty:

I am so sorry. :guilty:

Is there anything I can do? I am here for you. :grouphug:

Morning all! Thanks again for good wishes and prayers. I do appreciate them a lot! My hardest thing will be keeping my mind off of food today ;) I was suggested to eat a lot of protein last night so I had PB on ice cream and toast last night ;) Hopefully that will hold me.

Otherwise not much going on today. Should think about packing for Monday, but that will mean the dreaded visit to the in-laws :p We are going to call them later on and request turkey and mashed potatos for me

Elaine...you are in my prayers today. So are you going to the in-laws for an early Thanksgiving???? If so I would think Turkey and Potatoes would be the norm.

Happy Friday everyone! It finally arrived, I was starting to wonder;)

Amanda, we are leaving Monday to go visit them. Since they live in DC, we'll be gone until Saturday morning.

You would think turkey and mashed potatos would be the norm, but it isn't in their house. It isn't a PR thing either, it is just them. Ham (a full baked one) and potato salad with pringles seems to be more of the norm. That just seems wrong to me. I suppose though, if they don't make what I consider "normal Thanksgiving fare" I will just get a small turkey breast and make my own diinner at some point.

I admit, I am already dreading this trip, so having a turkey would be a bonus for me ;)

Elaine...We do 2 turkeys and 1 ham shank, that way if someone doesn't like Turkey they have the ham option. Sorry this isn't a trip you are looking forward to. I only dread my visits to Todd's parents if his one SIL and brother are there, otherwise the visits go very well.

Hello everyone

Elaine, so sorry for you and Luis. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Elaine, I am sending you and Luis lots of hugs and prayers. I am sorry.

Ya Yas, sorry for my MIA-ness. Love ya all!
:sunny:

Good morning y'all.

Lainey, I do hope you have a real turkey of a trip to visit your in-laws.

No wait..that didn't come out quite right :scratchin

....

Wow, I wish sad news hadn't brought out MIA Ya Yas... don't be strangers (and thank you!)

I'm beginning to think that Turkey talk wasn't wise today ;) But....

Amanda, with ony 5 people at their dinner total (that I can think of) we couldn't have quite so much food. I tolerate ham, but I don't like it all that much.. and especially not baked hams as they always seem fatty (at least the ones I have eaten). I prefer lean meats. But that I *could* live with. The idea of having potato salad and pringles is just the part that is wrong to me. That's picnic food and not holiday meal food IMO. Of course I cannot stand mayo now, so just leaves me with little to eat.

Alan... you are a twit!!!

Elaine...to bad you can't come my way ;) Even with 5 the food selection would be the same, must smaller dishes. Potato salad isn't bad if homemade...but if that is it, I don't blame you. Todd's Mom always has a limited menu and you can forget having seconds, only fixes enough for one go around. She also makes her turkey days in advance and reheats it, not my idea for Thanksgiving.

Not feeling too well today. Need my allergy shots, which will happen tomorrow.

Can the time go any slower? I need to get the girls tickets for High School Musical and 10am is coming slowly. :furious:

Good morning all - another gray yet warm day here.

Last night was uneventful - at least I got to watch O.C. uninterrupted - usually I'm jumping up and down in between calls.

Chris got his report card yesterday - as I suspected he failed 1/2 of his classes - there was no yelling - we simply told him that there are only 3 quarters left and now he is "in the red" and it was up to him to come up with a plan. I remain hopeful.
Talked to Alyssa last night - she said that she "can't wait to come home this weekend" - that's usually not a good sign.....I suspect trouble in paradise...

Well - guess I better hit the showers...

Elaine - safe travels to the in-laws....sorry about their menu selection - do they know this is Thanksgiving and not Easter?

Lotsa love and hugs to all......

Amanda, I am sure we would have a great time if we could go your way. Just save some left overs just in case ;) I could understand having small portions of everything, but I just don't see that happening. I think his mom likes cooking that huge ham (which they serve at all holidays). Sadly the excuse we were going to have about why I need turkey and mashed potatos is gone... I'll be happy with reheated turkey this time if need be (but that is odd to cook a whole one early only to reheat!)

Oh, did you get the tickets you wanted?

LOL, Paula, that is what I was thinking with the ham!
Good luck with Christopher. Hopefully this will be his wake up call! I hope all is well with Alyssa and that nothing is wrong with her and her b/f... maybe she needs a break from roommates?

Elaine...Got our tickets. I couldn't get 5, sister and niece were going. She was able to get tickets 2 sections over from us. The cost is outrageous, but I know the girls are going to be excited when they see this on Christmas. My sister buys a lot for her DD, so kind of glad we are separate. Todd is staying back so I can have girl time w/Mandy and Cassie...I may mention he should have a card night with the guys.

Paula...sometimes they just have to decide themselves what they want to do, we can't always pull them out. I already have stressed with the girls it is their issue not mine when it comes to grades. I hope this instills it to the early. Mandy doesn't want to go to Disney due to not being here for classwork....she is over that now but now is upset she is missing the bookfair. She is crazy. I told her she can buy books anytime.

Off to Applebee's for lunch.
