Morning!!

Raining ugly morning and it was ugly yesterday afternoon/evening, too. :rolleyes1
Just staying home today to get some more cleaning done. Why oh why did we invite so many people over? :confused3:

Tara, glad the appts. went well. Had to :lmao: at the kid calling your mom.
Glad co-workers DD is OK.

Liz, you deserve a slug day. I have one coming to me soon after all this cleaning. :teeth: The tacos were yummy. Last night was Ranch Chicken Breasts with mashed potatoes and rolls. :teeth:

Elaine, yeah, we love Sprint. Pretty much everyone in our family is on Sprint, except for one set of BIL & SIL's. :teeth: Thanks for the update on Karen.

Well, I gotta start getting these boys moving and get ready for nephew to get here.

Morning all....still looking for Friday.

Elaine...np, I just ate my way through the day to stay awake. Have to be good know to take off the calories I didn't need.

Liz...tonight is my slug night or so I think. Who knows how I will feel when I get home, but right now the chaise is looking very inviting. I move to my new job the first of the year, 100%. I will go there next month when my current manager is traveling and I don't have holiday plans here. I have 3 holiday gatherings I need to attend for work next month. As for fresh flowers, I would love to receive some...that was very nice of Greg's boss. Last Thanksgiving 2 of my siblings brought me flowers and 1 brought me gifts, it was like Christmas. Not getting my hopes up this year.

Tara...are you collecting your unemployment yet? Glad the Dr visit went well.

Alan...one of these days I have got to meet the woman that 'deals' with you :rotfl2:

Todd has been very busy trying to do things to make my life easier, so he hasn't been on. Tuesday he went to the bank to pay off our van, only to find out that it was already paid off with our last payment. Yesterday he has to drop off the Christmas Shoe Boxes for church. Today is grocery shopping for Thanksgiving dinner (no small feat) and stopping by the autobody shop to remind them our car will be there next Friday/Saturday for them to fix while we are gone.

Sherry...the only reason I invite guest is to make me clean  My cleaning will start either tonight or Friday and probably continue next Monday. Tuesday evening starts the official food preparation.

Have a terrific day everyone!

so I handed him my phone and let him call her :lmao: everyone on the bus was almost hysterical. He rattled off how mean I was and then handed me back the phone.

You're just twisted. I like you ;)

Amanda, yay on discovering the van is paid off! :bounce:
Unfortunately, I just wrote my first payment last month.

Y'all might have seen us on the news (Montgomery, that is) We had some bad storms and tornadoes yesterday but only one traffic fatality in a situation that could have been much worse.

Good morning y'all!

Good morning all.....a gray rainy day here today also.

Just got back from traffic court with Chris they reduced his fine to $275 (yes,...I said REDUCED).....he has a month to pay it off ....in the meantime I'll just keep praying for a breakthru with him.

I'm off today - going to Walmart for stuff....better find my list.

Tara - I think Alyssa will be home on Wednesday morning - she is actually home every weekend - her and her laundry that is - haha.

Alan - I hope the weather improves - that's scarey stuff.

Hi Amanda - woohoo on the van being paid off!!

big hugs and hellos to Elaine, Sherry, Liz, Suzanne, Kimmar......and all....

Paula I don't know if I feel worse about Chris' fines or you having to spend a lengthy shopping trip in Wal Mart.

Neither sound good.

I lived close enough to home that my laundry and I went home every weekend also ;)

Just a quick catchup before heading up to Athens, Ohio to visit my DS. Tonight is senior night at the football game (OU vs Akron, going to be televised). My DS does the fillming of the practices and games. I will be gone until tomorrow night....so please don't be too mothy, it is hard for this old Ya Ya to get caught up. :teeth:

Alan - You have one lucky Mrs. AA. You are such a wealth of knowledge on women and life. I tried the leaf blower on the 6 foot plant and it stunk up the whole house and then it flew into the next room, I couldn't catch the darn thing.....should I have taken it outside? :rotfl:

Liz - Fresh flowers are so beautiful...wish my DH's boss would send them to me. :goodvibes :sunny: I will have to look for that silk plant spray....and don't worry about Slug days....I have 24 hour slugs in my life

Kimmie - You are just too funny my friend

Elaine - Our Target has boxed cards...just drive 2 hours south and come to my Target :moped: We have Sprint also...we love it

Paula - :grouphug: Sorry that Chris has that fine...but hopefully he has learned a lesson. It is so hard watching kids grow up and make mistakes.

Tara - I am so glad that your friends pregnant daughter is fine :thumbsup2 Have fun with Jar today at the counselor's office. Yesterday sounds positive. And you are right about those tassles......Beth was aggie everyone...and can you believe the nerve of that guy sueing me....he is such a ****!!!

Sherry - Today is beautiful in southern Ohio :sunny: I will send it your way

Amanda - You have one busy family.......and you are Christmas shopping already....you are good :wave2:

Two of my son's best friends are in the University of Akron marching band, so I may have to see if they televise the halftime show. Stay warm and dry. We're going to see Nordonia (high school) play Chardon in Bedford tomorrow evening. We have volunteered to make the hot chocolate for the marching band. Yikes.

Hi y'all... we had a not good appt this morning with the doctor. We found out that the sack has kept growing, but the baby has been absorbed by my body. I'm waiting on the scheduling from the hospital, but no baby anymore :sad1:

Lainey, I am so sorry  I know you will make it, but my prayers are with you and Luis.

:grouphug: Elaine - I am so sorry to hear the news. You and Luis will be in my thoughts and prayers. I don't know what else to say or do.

Morning.

It's been a rough week all around.

Lainey, I'm so sorry for you and Luis. If you need anything, feel free to PM or ping me. :grouphug:

Amanda, guess we should have Ed tell Todd why he's not getting one right now-no one to watch the kids while he goes riding. I think I'm in trouble when the boys hit middle school. And Todd, :duck: for thinking you can get better than what you've got!

Paula, sounds like Chris is going to be working a lot the next month to get that paid off. :grouphug: As my mom was fond of saying 'This too, shall pass'. It's been my mantra lately.

Tara, LOL at the calling your mom! Glad that the situations are okay for the friend.

Betty, enjoy the game. You know, we could abuse the age thing and type in the biggest size, but we won't. Stay warm, I'm offering the same comforters I offered Sherry-she didn't come get them.

Alan, NOTHING gets by you, sir. Although I will tell you not to give up your day job if you think you're going to make a living writing poetry like that.

Sherry, thank you for sharing some rain with us. About 20 minutes after I got home last night, the skies opened up. We need it.

It's been a week. Broke a toe (think I mentioned this-can't do anything with it so no doctor's visit), the work stress (boss being very cold), and then last night, Kevin informs Ed that he's got an eraser in his ear.

Yep, an eraser. He did it at school, but was afraid to say anything to Ed because he thought he'd get grounded. No insurance, which is to say pitiful self insurance, so when I was called, I told Ed he'd waited 6 or so hours to tell us, he can wait for a doctor's visit in the am.

Called the doctor and first available is 3:45. They may not be able to get it out, which means that he goes to the ER. Oy. The child has been bugging me to buy a game cube game and I'd said I would get it. Had to explain to him this morning that the doctor's visit will cost a lot more than the game would have and an ER visit will cost far more than ALL the christmas presents we would buy. I think he'd rather be grounded than being told calmly that we just don't have the money for this right now...

Suzanne

I can't take credit for the poetry Suzanne.

It came from a song that I shouldn't still remember. :rolleyes1

Elaine...not that it helps, but I miscarried before Cassie. It is hard. I wasn't sure I even wanted to try again since I feared it happening again and having the feelings again. I now have Cassie. I know down the road you will see God's plan in this. Take care of yourself.

Suzanne...you and Tara make me greatful I have girls. That is until they turn into Sassy Teens. :guilty:

Betty....no artificial plants in my house. I limit my dust collectors :goodvibes Todd has to ask himself the one question before buying me a gift, "Does she have to dust it?" If yes, put it back on the shelf :rotfl:

Later!

Amanda,

And I hear about all the doll stuff and see the hootchie mama stuff they pass off as girls clothes (or try to) and I'm glad I've got boys. Just goes to show that God does give us what we should have.

Today, though, I'd like a kid who didn't stick erasers in his ear! :lmao:

Like the gift buying strategy Todd uses. Not sure what strategy Ed employs, but usually he's good with a gadget.

Suzanne

Elaine, I am so very sorry. :(

Betty, have fun at the game. Rain has stopped and the high is 60, so its not too bad here now.

Suzanne, glad I could share the rain with you. :teeth: Sorry about the toe and the eraser. Hopefully the dr can get it out. Yikes!

Amanda, that is a good question about the dust. I hate dusting.

Paula, for you. I guess Chris has alot of work to do to pay that fine.

Got some more cleaning done. Blech. I still don't know what we were thinking. :teeth:

Elaine...I'm so sorry!!! I'll keep you all in my thoughts.

Hi y'all! Thanks for all the kind words. Text doesn't always show it, but I do appreciate everything. I am grateful for y'all to be here and to still have fun with me. That's my best way to deal with sadness... to keep on and try to enjoy life for what it is. Like Amanda said, this is God's plan and maybe some day it will all make sense.

For now, I have the D&C scheduled for 3PM tomorrow. I'll be in and out that afternoon. Should be good for watching the OSU game tomorrow ;)

I wish that dust collecting would work for my family... I get some interesting trinkets from Luis' side of the family

I've missed a bunch, but I will catch up as I can :wave2:

 :flower3:  Elaine - Prayers and hugs for you and Luis.

Back from Walmart - have to tell you all what I saw there - as I'm walking in I see a group of teenagers sitting out in front in lawn chairs - I don't think much if it - I figuerd it's employees taking advantage of a warm day during their break time....boy was I ever wrong....as I was browsing in the electronics section I heard one of the employees say that the group is camping out in front of the store until friday morning when Playsataion 3 is released!! And she said "I don't know how many people are out there but we are only getting 6 games - people are buying them and selling them for $3000 on ebay!!" :confused3 Sheesh....

Chris is not home but I know he got his report card today.....and it's not good..... maybe.....possibly this is his "rock bottom" and we can go forward from here...?? Thankfully he has a couselors appt tomorrow.

I'm off work tonite - probably watching O.C. no other plans.......

Treated myself to Wendys for lunch - now I need Tums.... :(
