FWIW, the tooth fairy gives a dollar here. I believe the first tooth required a small book or some other gift to celebrate, but they won't know any better if you don't ;)

Just don't forget to let her in the house :)

good point!! Gotta leave the door unlocked! I sure hope she remembers to get some cash before she comes by...not sure the kid will take plastic!! :rotfl:

I've been polling people in school and the answer seems to be a dollar or two. One lady told me she gave her son $5 for his first tooth and then a couple of dollars for the rest. But her son understood he wouldn't get that much for the other teeth. I like the idea of a book..but I didn't have time to plan for this! This was a surprise!!

off to work some more.

tara

If you can put your hands on a Sacaj..Saga..that gold coin with the native American chick on it, that would be a good first tooth dollar.

But again..you need a bit more time than you have been given.

He'll be thrilled just to be remembered!

Tara--First lost tooth? How old is he? :confused3 .Then I guess Cassie hasn't lost any teeth yet.. :)

Jeez--Elaine mentions my name with crap on the same line...:duck:

Friend just called, she got free tickets for the Def Leppard/Journey concert tonight! Yippee!!! :hippie: :teeth: ....!

...wow, that sounds like an awesome concert.....

Howdy, about to head out to Melting Pot in a few. Ladie's Night Out. Treating Jill in honor of her closing on her house (woohoo) and celebrating my new job. I do NOT need to add the the stuff she already owns by purchasing a housewarming gift, lol!

The very first Mythbusters is on-too funny to watch-we love it.

OMG, the tooth fairy is visiting here, too. Kevin just came in and showed us that he lost a tooth. She's been going broke-Neil lost 4 teeth in a week, Kev lost 2 and now this one!

Paula, mighty fine looking young man you have there. Like the wallet picture a lot. Seems like it has captured him very well.

Betty, howdy lady. Second AA's saying about the 70's-I remember far too much of it because I was too young (and started reciting Laugh in sketches yesterday :teeth: )

Haven't looked at the pics yet, figure I can do that while at the dealer tomorrow getting them to fix the iPod plug. Yep, the car came with it and it doesn't work. I think it'll be good practice for them with the new generation that comes with the same plugs and a guitar!

Tara, Going rate is a dollar, the firsts got Sacajawea's because Ed had been saving them for that. Neil doesn't spend his dollars and has the annoying trait of Ed's family of getting TWO SETS of adult teeth. No joke! I have a feeling Kev's like my side, as he only started losing them this year-Neil started at 4!

Amanda, we end up eating at Biergarten a lot because the boys love it. My pick is LeCellier-they enjoy it, too. If it was just you and Todd, I'd encourage you to try Chefs de France's Prix Fixe meal. Yum!

Rosemary, cool deal on the concert!

Todd, she could be saying worse things than crap with your name, you know!

Alan, at least YOU understood her accent-I think you'd have been ticked that she was presumptious enough to order champagne! :rotfl: I got your back on the gold coin, btw! :teeth:

Paula, beats me why someone would do that. Meanwhile, one of the owners succeeded in saying several nice things and made me cry-right before I had to check in guests!

And my mopiness bothers Ed-apparently we can only have one mopey person in this marriage! I called Amy, the former coworker who will be a coworker again and she got me in a good move about the new job. (this after griping that the dress code includes NO color!). Yay, I can wear my crocs-I think the deal would have been off otherwise :lmao: I like having feet that don't hurt far more than looking stylish!

Gotta go, Melting Pot is a half hour away and I need to be there by 8!!

Suzanne

Oops, forgot John. I hope your DW Sue got a nice footie rub for working so hard yesterday. And a dinner cooked lovingly for her. And a bubble bath. And a very large glass of her favorite beverage!

I was the last one to a booth in my precinct last night, however, I was not the last one out-that's even with reading all of those amendments we had (8).

With that, I'm like Casper and outta here...

Suzanne

Another mopey Ya Ya checkin' in.......I think I've got the post-WDW let down. Not many hormones left to blame it on that.......

Suzanne  sorry about the job thing. I know ya gotta do what ya gotta do, but sometimes it just plain sucks.

congrats to Jarrod on losing his first tooth!! Love the gold dollar idea--mine got 4 quarters. Glad the meds are helping.

Great pix, Paula! Chris' AND the dog/kitty one!! I'm just as :confused3 over the request for suggestions and then jumping all over you cuz your response was not the same as the idea that was already in place. Oye, corporate mentality!!

Betty!! Good to see you again!! So sorry we missed you at WDW, tho'

Laine, I can't imagine Luis firing you, but you firing Luis--now that is quite feasible!

Good for Sue to help out at the polls, but whew! What a LONG day!!!

Sigh.....dentist at 8am tomorrow. What was I thinking to schedule it that early??!!! Nighty night :grouphug:

Alan I love the story about the accent....... :rotfl2: but Elaine was really drinking Asti....I, of course was innocent of everything.

Tara - the going rate at our house for the Tooth Fairy was $1....and good things come to those with patience. WDW will be wonderful when you get there. :goodvibes

Todd - I don't think that Elaine meant for your name and crap to be in the same sentence.......really I don't.

Suzanne - Melting Pot is one of my favorite restaurants. You are making my mouth water. From the picture that you have posted it looks like you have a VW Beetle. Am I right? I just bought the VW Beetle convertible and I have the ipod plug also. Fortunately, it works for me but my connecters don't fit tight so I have to push it back into the plug every once in a while. I hope that they fix it for you.

Beth - good luck at the dentist tomorrow. I am glad that you had a good time at WDW last week. I just missed seeing by a few days.

Well, it is time for this girl to head to bed. My DH is out of town and it is just me and the dog. Good night everyone!!!

Good morning y'all! We did get the phone switched over. One teeny glitch was fixed by the support people (dial tone was taking too long to come up and we'd only get half the attempted calls in from my cell) and we seem to be good to go. Of course that took along time for me to get anything done after that so I just never made it back online to post last night.

Alan, that is too cute about the accent. Though I figured down there they'd be more used to an accent like that ;)

Woo hoo on Jarrod's first tooth lost. How did the tooth fairy finally handle it? :p

LOL, Sorry Todd. I didn't meant to put you with the crap. I just noticed that the cable people would be there any minute.

Suzanne, I hope you enjoyed your night out at the Melting Po! I haven't been there in ages, but love it there :)

Awww... Bethie, sorry for the post let downs of WDW. Don't you have a little trip coming up soon? LOL on firing Luis. If I fired him, I'd be in a world of trouble. Who else would pay my salary? :rotfl:

Oh we won't mention who actually *brought* the Asti with her on the trip ;) Though I still think it goes well with pizza :teeth:

In a short while I need to head into church. Waiting on cable people caused me not to go in yesterday.

Another mope checking in....today we will be putting Barkley down :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Any good thoughts and pd would be greatly appreciated. This is so darn hard...Greg is not doing well at all....he could really use your good thoughts and prayers too.

Thanks!

Poppin in for a sec.

:grouphug: Liz, I know this is so hard. Just in talking to you on the phone, every conversation includes the little guy. I wish I could be there to give you a hug and be your support. Take comfort in knowing he'll be albe to run easily once he's over the Rainbow Bridge.

Suzanne

Morning all....

Betty...you are right, Amanda am I. Glad you had a long weekend at WDW. We head there the Saturday after Thanksgiving for a week. :cool1:

Liz...prayers sent for you, Greg and Barkley.

Elaine...sometimes I wish Todd would fire me :rotfl: Other times I wish my church would fire me ;) I have to keep reminding them of what is my job and what is not. Those non-salary jobs can really be worst than the paying ones at times.

Suzanne...which countries are those restaurants located in?

Paula...I figured the flash was just Tinker Belle visiting :goodvibes

Tara...$1 is the standard here. One night I told Todd to take care of it, he left the tooth behind so I then had to go back in to find it. Now I just hand Mandy the $1. :rolleyes1

Terrific day to everyone!

Wow, what great ketchups :thumbsup2

I'm glad you are feeling better about the job, Suzanne. Did you enjoy the night out?

I hope all is going well for Beth at the dentist. Maybe Suzanne could send you some of the tap water from her house? Apparently it'll make your teeth fall out on their own!

Betty, does the dog sleep in your hubbie's spot while he's out of town? If I am gone, there is usually one or two girls and a dog on my side of the bed.
No, I do not take up THAT much room! :teeth:

Still confessing things that happened at WDW? Betty or Beth, is there anything else she hasn't told us? :)

:rotfl: See, now that's the way to get yourself fired! Learn from Todd ::yes::
I'm laughing that Mandy still expects the dollar. :)

Liz, That is such a difficult thing, but you've already told us that you know it is necessary. I've been there too and it is such a heart breaker. I am so sorry for Barkley, you and Greg. Our thoughts are with you.

Good Morning

Liz - My thoughts will be with you today. It takes a lot of courage to be able to get through a day like this. I have been there and the hurt is big. :grouphug:

Suzanne - how are you this lovely morning? :sunny:

Amanda - I have to agree that the restaurant in France was great. I had the 3 course lunch there this past August. :thumbsup2

Alan - the little dog, Princess, sleeps in her crate at night while DH is out of town but I celebrate by sleeping in the middle of the bed in the peace and quiet of silence......DH snores at times!!!! :confused3

Elaine - yes, I confess that I brought the Asti on that trip and of course I was holding a gun to Elaine's head while she was drinking. You know she just didn't want to go with the flow.......and if you believe that then I have some more non alcoholic Asti for anyone.....even Elaine....non alcohol for you now Miss Lainey. :rolleyes1

Well, I have a sickie little DD at college. She was suppose to come today and spend the weekend here. Finals start next week. She and her room mate sound like they are starting to get the flu, so this momma is driving up to get her little girl and bring her home. I want her to feel good for finals next week and this way I can get her out of the germs. So I will not be around during the day today but I will be back to check in tonight. I am going to take Princess with me so I have someone to talk to for the 2 hour drive....and Alan, Princess takes up very little room...unlike you :rotfl:
