Good Morning Yaya land! :sunny: :wave2:

Alan/Pam: I am so sorry! I KNOW I have such a way with words, right?! I was trying to keep it simple and to the point so as not to 'cause too much emotions to show in those who are working and dis'ing on the sly. ;) But, I guess I failed. :sad2: Next time, I will try to trim it down some. I'll try to remember K-I-S-S! :rotfl:

Welcome home Beth and Dave!
Amanda/Todd have a fun weekend.
TC- :thumbsup2 to James.
Sherry- Hope your errand running goes smoothly.
Tara- You get those sickie buggies out of your house?

Everyone :wave2: Have a wonderful day!

Suzanne--You have a reel to reel too? My oldest are cassettes & I have no idea how to copy them to the computer..I am not computer savvy like you guys.. :confused3

My PC has a cassette deck and turntable hooked up through the soundcard inputs. When I was in charge of our church's tape ministry program, I spent countless hours dubbing cassettes to CDs of special services and especially of the various choirs and chorales. It's really not that difficult to do.

Good morning y'all.

Beth, I'm sorry the food was mediocre. I guess you were hoping that when Disney does a dessert, they throw away the mold.

Yeah...I know...sorry folks.

Still, it sounds like you were able to see quite a bit on your last morning in the parks and am glad you had a good time.

Enjoy the weekend and stay warm happy campers.

Suzanne, my only experiences with reel to reel are from working in an AM station also. I was a reporter and would do any phone interviews on reel to place sound bites on a cart later.

I also would do the "people in the street" kind of interviews on some current topic and dump that all to reel. Then I took a white marker and razor blade to cut and slice it all into a quick montage of opinions. Those were the days. :)

John--You have it all... :thumbsup2

Beth--Now that's a day report.. :thumbsup2 ..

What is the deal with using :thumbsup2 today...

Maybe Amanda will tell you guys later.. :rolleyes1

Take care..time to relax... :wave2:

Hey Todd- :duck:

Good err...Day! Man is it cold here! No matter what I do, I just can't seem to warm up today. I seem to have this problem a lot lately. I HATE the cold...I mean really HATE the cold.

Staying home with Barko today and really enjoying it....if only I could warm up. Did I mention I am REALLY cold...but I digress...as I type I am really struck by how cool this new birdfeeder I got is. It is just a very plain and simple feeder in hopes that the cardinals that live in our trees would find it inviting.... :thumbsup2 well they have :thumbsup2 (that second one was just for you, Todd!) Here is the deal with me an birdfeeders...as a kid growing up, my grandpa had this thing for nature....especially birds. He lived in the city of Chicago, and nver missed an opportunity to feed the birds, squirrels or whatever animal came his way. This was always amusing to us kids, but not so much to my grandma. She used to get especially mad when he took to feeding the squirrels by had and all of us grandkids would follow suit. We of course learned that from my grandpa. To my delight, soon after we moved into our new house, I saw a cardinal in our tree. This was one of my grandpa's favorite birds...so naturally, I figured my grandpa must be living in our trees :thumbsup2 we had to run to Lowe's for something a couple of nights ago and I HAD to walk down the birdfood aisle. Greg just had that  look to him. I I grabbed a suet cake and a cage and Greg quickly told me to put it back...that was stupid. I got a little :furious: and told him Great! Now my grandpa is going to starve..well that just induced a little :lmao: So we left with no suet cake or cage....and to be honset, all the feeders they had were just plain ugly. So I had to have a key made and went to Ace Hardware...no Greg and some real neat and cheap birdfeeders. I bought one and hung it on our tree...filled it with some birdfood that attracts cardinals and :thumbsup2 I have found that we not only have my Grandpa in the tree, but my uncle and their two girlfriends as well :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 It was actually my mom that came up with my uncle and their girlfriend story...she had a good chuckle out of me telling her Greg would not let me buy Grandpa some food. Anyway, here I sit just watching one of the girlfriends toss all that good food right to the ground. She will take a mouthful and just spit it out...or take her beak and push it all off of the feeder. Wish I has Todd's camcorder to take pics of it, as it really is quite funny. Ok, that is my story for the day...and I am still cold. I am even thinking I may just have to make Barko share one of his many blankies!!

Amanda, is there something you NEED to tell us? Spill it!!

Hey Todd :thumbsup2

Kimmar....shoot, shuckie darn, swizzle sticks.....

Alan, that was bad....really bad!! But it did made me chuckle!

John, sound like you guys need to have a little techie party or something!

Pammy, looks like you may have some new writters for your column...you could call it Look Who's KISSing this Week...or something like that!! I gather it would be a very short column :lmao:

RM, better hone up those writting skills...Pammy may have a job for you...you too Paula!!

Hey Sherri, that is enough of the "s" word! It was quite frosty here this morning....and I am still freezing cold! Have a good day with your nephew!

Hey Suzanne, how goes it? What's for dinner tonight? You are going to have to send me some recipes. We need a little fun in our food these days..a little excitement..ya know what I mean. I wa unpacking the other day and came across some kool aid that I need to send you. It did make me laugh when I saw it though.....

Bethie, sound like a fun trip!! I think I would have been grossed out by the carrot cake too.....that is why you have CHOCOLATE cake instead. Have I ever told you...Pop Century has teh BEST chocolate cake....ever? Yum-o!

Well, I think I am going to get my roast ready for the oven. Methinks if i get the over on, maybe, just maybe it will warm up in here...and I would not have to resort to stealing Barko blankies.....

Have a great day one and all....more later...when something exciting happens :thumbsup2

PAM!! You are SUCH a tattle-tale!! :sad2: :sad2: :teeth:

Liz, hope you warm up soon. My house is nice and toasty. :teeth: Loved the grandfather/bird feeder story. :) :lmao:

Todd, :thumbsup2 Enjoy camping!

Amanda, good luck with the job stuff and have fun camping. Try not to freeze. :teeth:

Hi Paula!!

Rose Mary, KISS!! :lmao:

Nephew cooperated at the stores. :yay: He's now sleeping. :yay:

Liz--you opened a can of worms... :thumbsup2 Great ketchup too!!

First of all I have a tube feeder and a bigger one for the bigger birds to use & a suet feeder in the front....I drive Amanda crazy with these things.. :rolleyes1 ..get yourself a bird guide & keep me updated on what you see...My frequent visitors include Morning Doves(yuck), robins, bluejays, a tufted titmouse(mice?), American Goldfinches, nuthatches(they are awesome, they walk up & down the tree..lol), numerous sparrows, black cap chickadees, cardinals & Hairy & downy woodpeckers(suet feeder) & the mockingbird(they are hilarious to watch...I heard they sometimes chase cats..lol)which mimic about anything...
Wow..I had a lot to say... :rolleyes1 ...I also have 3 birdhouses I think are unoccupied.. :guilty:

Sherry-- :wave2:

Rosemary-- :wave2: ..everone's giving me the :duck: :lmao:

Tara--where you at girl? :duck:

Pam-- :dancer:

Kim--Are you referring to the puzzle thingies?

Gotta get ready for work-- :moped:

Still in a lousy mood. :( I really think I've fallen into one heck of a funk. This isn't my usual lousy mood...I just feel like things are dark and dreary and not looking good.

I know it will pass..but right now I am not even excited about my trip :( I just feel like it will be 10 days of fighting with Jarrod. I've called my doc and he is trying to help me too.

Hopefully this will pass soon.

Hugs to everyone.

Tara, here is a pic from yesterday at the Makic kingdom. I hope this will help.

Tara--:duck: ok & :grouphug:

Alan--A neighbor of ours said someone heard a mockingbird mocking a vacuum cleaner.. :lmao: ...whiiiirrrrrrrrr :lmao: I want ours to come back... :guilty: they kept the sparrows off the suet feeder & in the backyard..

That was my time frame in radio, too. White wax pencils. Funny story:one of the hosts of the college station's sports show snagged an interview with "Mr.October" and interviewed him with a recording walkman at Yankee Stadium. Then he came back and proceeded to edit said cassette-putting the tape on the OUTSIDE of the tape. He forgot that the outside of the cassette goes over the play head. I had fun pointing that one out!

Shoulder's killing me and I don't know what I did to it.

S word? What's that? :teeth: :rotfl: Supercalifragilisticexpeialidocious?

Liz, :rotfl: at Greg not letting you feed grandpa! Tonight's dinner is beef with caramelized onion rings and roasted red pepper mashed potatoes. :thumbsup2

Tara, I'll come run interference for you. I know what you mean-we were worried about the California trip-new meds, will they work? Will he be completely oppositional? He hates change and transitions, and we're throwing a week's worth at him!

Dave, Oooooooh, pretty! :goodvibes

Oh no, I used one of the smilies that guarantees I'll be bringing framed pictures to character meals and writing worse than my secoded grader!

Paula and Rosemary, the KISS twins!

Pam, :dance3: Have you gotten the thermal standard white issues ready for the Thanksgiving parade? I think we got an invite! :lmao:

Kimmar, watch it, mom is PISSED at all this S word talk and will ground any tattletales!

Gotta go take the top off the beef so that it gets nice and brown.

Suzanne

Evening all....

Well, it looks like I will be changing jobs. It is a promotion, but at the same time means my life will be a bit more stressed and work won't be slow. It does bring me back closer to home and I can work from home atleast 1 day a week, once my training is over.

Liz...I forgot to say that I am sorry to hear about Barkley. Todd does drive me insane with the birds. I used to want the squirrels fed, but they get mean when you don't deliver on time.

Tara...you have to look forward to vacation, we're going to be there

Majority of the packing is done. Cookies are baked. Just need to put tape down for my Dad to paint while we are gone.

Gotta get some work done....slacked a bit a work today.
