Thanks for helping Tara out, there, Alan!
Yes, we had a great time at Raglan Road last night, although 9 PM really IS too late for dinner when you've been up since 3:30 AM. We had a very smooth flight down and checked in to VWL in record time. Got my
ECV and had to laugh--the speed dial has a pic of a turtle at the slow end and a rabbit at the fast end!! Personally, I prefer rabbit, but not good in crowds. Went to MK and met up with Dave's son & DIL and did the Haunted Mansion, Philharmagic, Buzz Lightyear (where I scored 207,300-Planetary Pilot!!), the Teacups (where Dave got some adorable pix of the younger kids) and Winnie the Pooh. Had to miss the fireworks in order to get over to Raglan Road for dinner. Best part of the day was being told I drive like a Nascar driver--this was in the queque for Philharmagic where I learned I can turn the ECV on a dime!! Goin' round the corners was such fun!! Wheeeeeee!!
Back to more regular hours today. Spent the morning at AK, where the cast member who let us thru the gate warned me to keep it under 25mph, no pop-a-wheelies, and no drag racing with the other guests. DARN!!!! So, we started with Festival of the Lion King, one of our most favorite shows. Then we rode Expedition Everest in the very back car and loved it!! Also did It's Tough to be a Bug and had some lunch at Flame Tree BBQ.
Headed over to MK and tried to hook up with Rose Mary, but missed her somehow at POtC. Got to see the live "Jack Sparrow" thing and everything I've heard about the guy is absolutely true! He's positively FANTASTIC!! The "show" was great, too short at only 10-15 minutes, but between the 2 of us, Dave and I probably took more than 50 pix! We are back at our room right now, getting ready for dinner at Whispering Canyon, then we have
MNSSHP, where we'll be meeting up with Elaine and Luis again. I'm trying to talk Dave into asking for ketchup, at least, at WCC, so we can provoke the cast members.
Hope ya'll enjoy the "vicarious" visit to WDW with us. Love and miss ya'll!!
