Morning!

Got to sleep in this morning! :bounce: I needed it.

Amanda, hope the headache goes away soon. Sorry the weather screwed up your camping plans. Its a cold one here, too. Good luck to Mandy at the eye dr. :)

Good morning y'all.

I got home prepared for it to be a "daddy cooking" night. (Chick-Fil-A :teeth: )

However, the dogs were quite a sight when they came to greet me. Rebecca usually turns them loose to run outside (fenced back yard) after they eat which is just about time for me to get in from work.

I noticed that Winston looked very dirty, and when they came inside, Rebecca took one whiff and touched him and said, "He's oily"

It would appear that they had been plundering in a shed where I keep the lawn mowers, etc. I don't even recall the last time I drained anything, but there was a butter container with old motor oil in it that they had dragged into the yard, opened, and gotten into.

Rebecca immediately called the vet to see what their opinion was (I suppose I could have just posted a thread on the DIS ;) ) After waiting for a vet to be available, the receptionist said she couldn't get one to the phone and for us to bring them in.

So we had to go in and wait for an opening and then carry them in to see the vet who only laughed and said that it happens all the time and he has never seen a dog who would ingest enough motor oil to do any real harm and all we needed to do is bathe them.

Boy, do I wish we had just gotten him on the phone instead of having to pay for a "vet visit"

I dropped them off there this morning to let their groomers take care of it. After all, it's only money.

You can bet that I have now "puppy proofed" that area and moved all gas containers, etc. to a high shelf out of their range. And yes, they do both appear to be okay which is really the important thing, after all.

....I had my annual physical this week - broke down and told my doctor about my Chris stresses - she suggested that I talk to somone to help me get thru this - she also put me on Effexor...I've never been on any meds before in my life (excepting the occasional antibiotic -so this is pretty wierd - I'm adjusting - felt a little woozy this morning - probably not eating enough...Hugs all around....

...

Good morning y'all! Slept in this morning as well. I really did need it. I probably would have slept longer if my dad hadn't have called me to chat ;)

Sherry, I am with you, bring me summer back!!! Glad you were able to sleep in as well today :)

Amanda, I do hope your head feels much better soon. It's kind of nice when you have a blessing in disguise like that with the camping. I think it is far too cold for anything like that. We were thinking of going away this weekend and staying over where a wedding we are going to will be... the blessing in disguise for us is that it is so cold we wouldn't have enjoyed the grounds in the first place!

Alan, sorry about all the trouble with the dogs. Too bad the receptionist wasn't knowledgable enough to tell you what to do. At least they will be purty clean today ::yes::

Howdy Kimmar!

Good morning all....

Here's a good way to start the day with a smile...here I am - reading posts - getting ready to reply - walk away to put in a load of laundry and come back to this....

Harley evidently knows the importance of reading posts carefully and could not resist Elaine's bouncing Mickey!!

Alan - that's quite an adventure your pups had - perhaps they just wanted a day at the spa and figured they would leave you with no choice.

Jeffrey had to take the morning out of work to go to traffic court with Chris....that's for ticket #1,,,,Ticket #2 is next month......
I'm still getting used to the meds - been waking up with bad headaches but have noticed that if I eat something small right away I'm much better.

And now for one more "AWWWW".......my work buddy.....

Before I forget - many many thanks to everyone for all of your prayers and good thoughts - it is truely appreciated. So nice to have you all as a support system!!

Good morning, all! Yes indeedy, it was a morning to sleep in :teeth: I've got the late shift at the store tonight so I stayed up late last night to adjust. It's a "balmy" 33º this morning, but no precipitation of any kind. Funny to look out the window--with the bright :sunny: it looks just like it did last week at 75º but I don't think I'll be going out in my shirt sleeves today!

Lainey, congrats on 42K, you mothy Ya Ya, you! How's the adjustment going with Leia in the house? Have Gwen and Cleo accepted her as part of the family now?

Mornin', kimmar!

 Amanda! Good to see you again. So sorry about the headache, hope it's banished soon! Good call to cancel the camping, I think it's a wee bit too chilly for sleeping in a tent. The pumpkin patch and hiking sound like a great alternate. Sending :wizard: for your head and Mandy's visit to the eye dr. Hope all will be well.

:rotfl: Oh, Alan!! So now you're out of pocket for both the vet visit AND the groomers. I guess that'll teach you to clean up your "toys"!!!

   Paula, know that you are not alone. Been there, done that, only I was on Prozac. Sometimes, ya just gotta admit that ya can't be SuperMom and need a little help. We're here for ya, girlfriend!!

Well, I've got a rumbly in my tumbly since I'm off my usual routine this morning. Guess a little breakfast and a shower are in order, then I have a few errands to run. Have a lovely day, everyone!! :grouphug:

Paula sneated!!! And awwwww, Harley is just the sweetest!! I LOVE her coloring and that doily makes her look just like a princess reclining on her throne. Too cute at the computer.

Harley is such a cutie!!

I know just how she feels; some of Lainey's posts have made me want to slap the screen too. :rolleyes1

Morning!

Kids had off today, so I got to sleep in! :cool1: Now I've got one kid watching ET and the other in my room watching Cartoon Network.

Amanda, smart to reschedule camping for warmer times. Enjoy the pumpkin patch and hike.

Paula, Harley's adorable! Sometimes it takes a while for the meds to work right. I was on Xanax years ago and I had the 'floating head' feeling the whole time I took it.

Alan, sounds like you had a fun night. I had one eat a whole bottle of baby oil. The vet said he'd be okay, but it was a huge mess to clean up. Daddy cooking = Chick Fil A in your house? Does that mean chicken biscuits for breakfast if you're cooking? Sign me up!

Sherry, we've got no school, too. Seems to confuse the NY family that they didn't have Columbus day off.

Bethie, I'm on the late shift, too. We switch off the weekends now, and with me taking next weekend off, I take the late shifts this weekend.

Lainey, wow, 42k! Brava! I need to go look at those dates again and figure out whether I'm buying an AP.

Suzanne

hi gang!! :wave2: See you sometime this weekend!!

tara

Hi y'all. Having a quiet day. No reason for it either... just am ;)

Paula, Harley is such the cutie! Glad she appreciates my posts :rotfl:

I shouldn't laugh but I think it will be a while before the cats accept Leia. It's fine though. Some hissing some pissy little attitudes, but it's all going much better than expected. We let them all run free so I am not terribly worried.

Alan, I'm not talking to you now :sad1:

Suzanne, when you get your dates just let me know. Our schedule is very open. Though with a few things going on, I may be sitting out roller coasters this time. So no running through the E-rides. Not a huge deal for me though. I had the best trip in Feb!

Howdy Tara :wave2:

I need to hop in the shower and get dinner going... I believe Donatos is on order for tonight :p

Been busy running here, there, and everywhere. I'm pooped, but need to finish cleaning the kitchen. :rolleyes1

Alan, your checkbook sure took a beating, huh? Glad the dog's are doing OK, though.

Beth, :sunny: was deceiving here, as well. It was 39 and WINDY!!

Elaine, enjoy Donatos. :teeth: We did Ponderosa for lunch and I had Arby's for dinner. :teeth: (Its your fault! LOL)

Paula, omgoodness, Harley is sooo adorable. :) :)

Tara, hope you have a good weekend!

Good news.......Junior starts dayshift on Monday! :woohoo: :yay:

Howdy. Not at all tired, thanks to the boys letting me sleep in this morning!

Hope everyone has a great w/e!

Lainey, back again? Don't worry about the coasters-we had an unexpected check in the mail and we're debating getting AP's with it. Either that or we're getting a fence, lol!

Back tomorrow.

Suzanne

evening all!!

So elaine...why can't you ride coasters??? inqiring minds want to know!! ;)

back from scrapping...got 5 or 6 pages done. Now goiing to bed!!

Til tomorrow!
tara

Sherry, sounds like we have the same weather here. Today we have an outdoor wedding to go to! At least the reception is indoors :teeth:

Suzanne, unexpected checks are always a good thing! APs are even better :teeth: Actually it is back and neck hurting. I'm sure that will mean that my hips are out of whack meaning everything will be moving slow.

*sigh* Tara, you are so bad. You should know my history with back/neck problems have kept me off in the past. Actually the last time I did so many coasters, I was hurting a lot after. I really shouldn't be doing them so much anyway. If I feel good I can do BTM, but TOT and RnR are out. EE will probably be too same with Dinosaur. I don't think any others will be bad for me. Oh Star Tours is out... that one hurts even on a good day ;) I doubt my aunt will be going on coasters anyway.

Morning!

Popped on real quick to say hi. I need to dry my hair and head to the bank and to Kohl's to use my $10 card. It expires today. Making a big pot of chili today and SIL & BIL are coming over to eat. Other BIL & SIL's might come, but they have plans and don't know when they will be done.

Elaine, sorry your back and neck are hurting.

Suzanne, yay for unexpected checks. Hmmm........an AP or a fence? An AP or a fence? :lmao:
