Whoo-hooo!! Visitors a-comin'!! Gonna grovel all over the place at work tomorrow to get Sunday off.

Tara, excellent idea to come up here to scrap tomorrow!! Open House is 2-4, showcasing all the neat holiday workshops we have planned. Free food, too! And we have plenty of room in the crop tomorrow night for all of you. Not sure what they're serving for dinner, though.

Happy Anniversary, Alan & Rebecca!!! WTG on 16 years!! Only 10 more and me and Dave will catch up with ya :teeth:

Sorry about the cold, Laine. Just think, only a few more weeks and you'll be in sunny Florida!

Suzanne, sure hope your head is feeling better. Boo-hiss on the fouled up paperwork for Neil--is a cheeto run in order?! If BG and a few coasters will make it all better, then by all means, have a wonderful time!!

Hey, Pammie!! DD has a bug, DS has a 'stang and now you've got a G6 Coupe??!! Go, Pammie, Go!!

Wow, Sherry, going to homecoming!! Hopefully, the home team won and nobody caught cold!

 Todd!!

Paula, so sorry about the continued stress. Hope your visit to cingular will help to settle things down a bit.

Gotta hit the sack--big day tomorrow!

Tara, so sorry about this terrible, awful, horrible, no good, very bad day. Do you need directions to get here tomorrow? :teeth: Hope you are able to relax and have fun, whatever you do!!

Got home awhile ago. We won!! 35-13. :bounce: Took a hot shower to warm myself up. Holy cow was it cold. I bought a hot chocolate but it didn't help much. I was FREEZING!

Tara, so sorry to hear about your horrible day. :( Hope you can relax and have fun tomorrow.

Hi Beth! Hope your able to get Sunday off.

Pam, yay for the new car!! :car:

Pam-- :dancer: :laundy: New Car? Sweet.. :smokin:

tara--I can't say I read your post but seems you need a :grouphug:

Beth--don't invite Pam over to scrap..that might mean other things in her world.. :darth: :wave2:

Sherry-- :surfweb: Yay for the win..

Anyway, with that rant over I think I'll go to bed. Not sure where we will end up tomorrow but we're off for fun.

Ok. I promise never to complain about my workday again. I would not call your thread a rant. More of a vent.

Perhaps you should come up to Waterford on Sunday for some fun. :cheer2:

At least you have the weekend to recover. :grouphug:

Hey gang!! thanks for the hugs! I knew coming in that some of my kids were a little "off" but I was under the delusional cloud that things just sounded worse than they were!! Oh well!

I guess, i'll be buying a combat suit off ebay here soon! ehheehe

Astrid is late as usual. Except this time it isn't her fault, Susan's late. Not a big deal since I think we are going to end up shopping with the way the storm is tracking.

John...MD sounds good but after driving who knows where today, I think i'm going to veg in front of the tv tomorrow and catch up on Gray's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, NCIS, The Unit, Davinci's Inquest, Angela's Eyes, and one more I can't remember. :rotfl:

Oh Todd...a short recap for you...bad kid, cops, torture, all my fault. I think that about sums it up!!

Have a great day gang!!
tara

tara-- :worship: I have been cursed with a short attention span.. :rolleyes1 I'm working on it though..

John-- :wave2:

Good morning y'all! Luis and I are copycats and celebrate our Anniversary today (we have 10 years to catch up to them though) :) I was hungry so he took us out to Bob Evan's this morning :goodvibes:

Sherry, glad y'all won the game, but sorry you were so cold. I have fond memories of freezing cold football games :p

Pam, drive out this way and we'll head to FL or something in your new car. What color is it? A friend of mine just got a brand new red G6 last week and showed it off to us at church. Nice car ::yes::

Tara  I am so sorry you had to go through that yesterday. That is awful and I would gladly cheeto your AP if you would like me to ::yes::

Bethie, I am so looking forward to that trip in a few weeks! I think I could really use the warmth ::yes::

Todd :duck:

John, I hope you have a great trip to MD!

Not sure what else we are up to today. Just taking it easy and prepping for the kitty I think :)

Morning!

Wow, I must've been tired.....I slept in till 10! :bounce:

Happy Anniversary, Elaine & Luis!! :) :)

Elaine, I used to go to all our hs football games (I was in band) and I guess back then I was young and stupid and didn't care about the cold. Last night, though, I freakin' FROZE! :teeth: :sad2:

John, safe trip!!

Hey Todd!

Tara, enjoy your day. I have DVR stuff to catch up on this weekend, too. :rolleyes1

Not sure what all we are doing today. I know whatever it is, I'll also be doing :laundy: off and on during the day.

**Just noticed that the time is off.....I did not wake up and get straight on the DIS! :lmao: **

GOOD MORNING YAYAs!!!! :sunny:

 HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ELAINE AND LUIS!!!!!!!!!!!

First off - Group :grouphug: for Tara! Sorry that you had such a bummy day yesterday! :guilty: This is why I could NEVER be a teacher! I hope everything works out for you. I don't see how the AP could justify her actions when the security officers were right there and can vouch for you. :guilty:

Shep!! :rotfl: Now you know perfectly well that "scraping" season doesn't start for at least another 3 weeks around here! :sad2: ( ;) :rotfl2: ) But if Beth needs something to do......... :rolleyes1

Hey, Sherry - our HS Football team won last night, too! (Our FIRST game of the season! I am so happy for the boys!) Of course my dork of a son did his usual paint his face and chest and wore no shirt for most of the game! I bet he had some blazing "headlights", huh?? :lmao: I stayed home because the game was over an hour away and I wanted to watch "Trick My Truck"!

Elaine - I got the Emerald Green Metallic paint. And it's pretty well loaded up. I especially love the heated leather seats!

I am excited about the car - it's my (personally) 5th car in 26 years - and the second brand new one! I bought a 1980 Pontiac Sunbird in 1980 when I was not quite 19. Then I got married and had children and I've had a Chrysler New Yorker, a Ford minivan, and a Chrylser LHS, all of these cars weren't brand new but were usually Factory Rep cars and I got great deals on them.

I've had had the LHS for almost 9 years and it was time. I really wanted the Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder but I couldn't justify the cost with one kid in college and another ready to go next year. Plus, I wasn't getting the right number crunch from the dealers. My Dad told me about the G6. I went with the '06 model because the dealers want them off the lot - meaning more $ incentives, 0% financing ( :woohoo: ) and they gave me $$ for my trade-in (which really means that they just knocked even more $$ off the price of the new car!)

Enough bragging, sorry! Let's just say that the euphoric feeling will come crashing down when the very BIG payment book arrives in the mail! :guilty:

Howdy do, all!

I've gotta head out to Chez Target in a few to get some of Neil's meds before they close, but I figured I'd pop in.

Waterford is in VA, probably about 45 minutes from Bethie. I used to live about 45 minutes north of it on the other side of the Potomac-so John's in Virginia for Waterford-and staying in Hagerbush. I'd probably have sent him to stay somewhere in Winchester, but he probably wanted something close to I70/I68. :) Yes, I'm displaying my OnStar abilities again. I'll stop...

Happy Anniversary, Elaine and Luis! Smart hubby you've got there, keep you fed and happy!

Tara, how's the retail therapy? I'm in shock that the kid isn't getting ISS at the very least. Even without a BIP, the kid would have been taken out of school here.

Pam, WOW! New wheels. Gunny still going to get the rides everywhere in mom's new car?

Bethie, didya get the day off?

Sherry, I've got some blankets I can send you for the next football game, lol. Good deal on getting to sleep in.

Gotta jet. I'll come back later. I think Home Depot is going to bestow me with several gallons of Glidden paint. They're on rebate, so I'll stockpile and do what I can, when I can. :)

Suzanne

Happy Anniversary Elaine and   Luis!!!!
(my dad loves Bob Evans restaurants - my uncle and cousins take him there every year).

I was successful at cingular yesterday - thankfully Jeffrey's cousin's daughter works there - she is very sweet and always helpful - we blocked text messaging and internet acess from Chris phone. WE discussed the overages in minutes and she explaiend to me that for $20 more per month I could double the minutes so I decided to go with that. After that was grocery shopping and came home.

Chris "forgot" about his counselling appt yesterday and never went....(insert heavy sigh).....did I mention that the main staples on my life lately are Tums and coffee - quite the combo!!

Alyssa abd Dan took my car to New Hamphsire for the weekend - she just called me - said the weather and scenery are beautiful. Oh - I also baked them a "melt in your mouth blueberry cake" - seh said they all enjoyed it - 6 of them went up.

Jeffrey and I watched Annapolis last night - it was good - brought back memories - my high school boyfriend went there so I could definitely say "been there"....and.....theis is big.....he let Harley sleep on our bed last night!!!!!

Quiet day today - my back really hurt this morning - from laying on the couch watching the movie last night I think. My brother-in-law and wife came over to see Harley (on their Harley ) - waiting to go to my godsons birthday party at 6pm...have to work 11pm - 4am.....I'll definitely be Dis'ing to stay awake....

Jeffrey just got home....ketchup later....

Happy Anniversary Elaine & Luis!!! :dance3:

Paula-- :wave2: Hope your back is feeling better

Suzanne-- :wave2: ..YAY for rebates & sales..Yay for Home Depot!

Pam--Great deal on the car...I think you deserve it.. :woohoo: ..Such a great mom...do i know how to kiss up or what?

Sherry--This one time at band camp....Okay, so I like the How I met your mother show... :rolleyes1

I now have seven more gallons of Glidden paint! 2 gallons of Casa Royale for my bedroom and five gallons of Peach blush for the living room, kitchen and dining room. Think it'll look good with this?
eccbda7c.jpg

I do. The dining room is probably the easiest part of all of it, so we may tackle that on Monday. I like the idea of having the paint-it'll get us motivated to get color on the walls and artwork out of the boxes.

Suzanne

Hey gang,

BG ended up opening at noon and closing at 5 so we didn't make it. We hit one scrap store in Williamsburg, then drove another hour west and had lunch in Richmond. Couldn't find a single scrap store there...even checked out the yellow pages..nada...zip...zilch!

So we ate lunch in Richmond and attempted to head back to BG. We thought they were open, but by the time we got there it was raining again and the park was shutting down. So we hit an Easy Spirit outlet store and I bought me and my mom each a pair of shoes for $68. The only problem is that I got her the wrong size :( so we have to take them back next saturday before we hit busch Gardens.

Anyway, it was a fun day. I got hoome around 7 and I managed to watch 2 desperate housewives and 2 gray's anatomy...so I'm down 4 shows....about 15 to go! hehehehe

happy anniversary Elaine and Luuis!!

Good night gang!!
tara

Morning!

Pam, sounds like a great deal on the car. :woohoo: Is your DS crazy? :teeth:

Paula, hope the back feels better today.

Tara, sounds like you had a nice day. We only got around to watching 1 DVR show. :rolleyes1 We were in the middle of one when SIL called and told us to come over for cake (she lives around the block) and we ended up staying there for a couple hours.

Suzanne, :yay: on the paint. You couldn't have mentioned the blankets BEFORE I went to the game? ;) :teeth: I actually thought of taking one, but didn't want to drag it along all night. :rolleyes1 I'm a dork.

Todd, your a nut. :duck: Have you watched American Pie Band Camp? Better than I thought it would be. ::yes::

Morning all! Luis and I went out to dinner last night after we finished watching the OSU game as well as the FL game. We like college football here ;)

Sherry, I was in marching band in HS and was being a wee bit sarcastic about fond memories of it being cold. I remember one time I left early with a freshmean girl who's hands were on the verge of frost bite. We spent a lot of time in the bathroom (boys too since all else were shut off) running cold water over them. Poor girl was even in pain with that :( We had wool uniforms though, so they were super hot a the beginning and not even warm enough at the end :p

Pammydoodle, sounds like an awesome deal on the car! I forgot to ask, is it the regular coupe or did you splurge and go for htat convertable hard top? :teeth: I did look up the color and it looks like a very nice one to have for that style of car. My friend got the sedan and definitely not as many bells and whistles, but she is in heaven!

Suzanne, good luck with all the painting. I'll ahve to look up the exact color you got, but I like peach. I just did my kitchen in that :teeth: I think it will look great in the dining room :)

Paula, glad you were sucessful at cingular. Luis wound up blocking the text on his cell phone because his friends kept using it instead of calling. Luis hates having to pay extra for that! Sorry about all the Chris issues though. I know it is hard to let go. BUt sounds like you have Jeffrey won over with Harley!! That is definitely a good thing :teeth:

Todd :duck:
And those "one time at band camp" stories are often way too true :p

Tara, sorry the weather didn't cooperate with you, but sounds like you had a good day anyway!

Sherry, I haven't caught the American Pie Band Camp yet myself. I always thought it would be funny to see what it was like. I kind of liked the others I saw, though the wedding one was my least favorite.

Skipping church today, but we are finally bringing our kitten home. Pretty sure it is a girl, but won't name him/her until tomorrow at the vet just in case ;)

Elaine - no convertible, just the Coupe GT. I don't think anyone had any '06 hardtop convertibles in stock and they weren't dealing on the '07s. :guilty: But this one has all of the bells and whistles except for OnStar and XM Radio, neither of which I wanted anyways. Of course my kids were like - why didn't you get the blue? I was like, because the closest blue one was somewhere in Ohio! :rotfl: We drove 1.5 hours away for this one but it was definitely worth the drive! I guess the Emerald Green is for old foogies and not hip, young kids! :lmao:

Sherry - my son is slightly crazy!  And Suzanne is right - I always take a stadium seat and a blanket along for the cooler weather games. When DD was in HS and on either the cheerleader or danceline and we made the Playoffs 2 years in a room, we were going to football games in December! :scared1: We had to really bundle up because the snow would just come down and cover us!!

Shep - You are the bestest suck-up I know! :dance3: :duck: Love the photos of the girls (I think that might have been on another thread....)

Suzanne - I think those paint colors sound fabulous! Looks like the paint and hardwood floor refinishing that was supposed to be done this year at my house will not be done. :guilty:

Tara - sorry about BG and the shoes. Hope this week at school goes better for you! :thumbsup2

Paula - we ended up getting unlimited text messages on our kids' phones. DD uses hers a lot - DS only has a couple a month. Thankfully neither one of them has ever gone over their alloted minutes. It helps that we have unlimited after 7 pm and weekend calling. How old is Chris? 17 going on 18? I think when he hits 18 you will see a big change in him. :woohoo: on your DH letting Harley sleep on the bed! Hey - just remind him of what a great foot warmer she will be in the winter! :teeth:

Beth - I need you to come up here and get all of DS's photos scrapped before his HS graduation in June! But if you want to come up for Roadkill Scraping Season, that's fine, too! :rotfl2: I will be dragging out the old :stir: and stiring up a pot of my famous Roadkill Stew in the very near future! I know that all of you can't wait for that, huh?? :rolleyes1

Morning. I've gt a snuggling kd on me. I'll enjoy that while it lasts.

Sherry, sorry! I moved two boxes of comforters down here and one is on the bottom of my bed, folded up for show-flannel, too. I'm probably going to put them out for a yard sale soon!

Yeah, after the week spent on a king size bed, we'd both like one. I propose a yard sale and the proceeds go to getting a king size bed. Think it will work?

Pam, perhaps the kids won't want to borrow it if it's not a 'cool' color, lol!

You can block the text? Good, because everyone texts me and Ed and we don't use it.

Lainey, you didn't want to constantly scratch in wool uniforms?

DIS time is up-I need to clean today. Ed's 'sis' is coming down from NY and will probably come over one night this week..

Suzanne

Good afternoon gang,

Woke up with a migraine but it is finally gone now.

Pam...cool deal on the car!!

Sherry...cake was probably beter than tv anyway. I haven't watched anythign today because my head hurt.

Elaine...glad you had fun watching the games. I don't watch football here.

Suzanne..I say go for the king size bed. And your table and light look really nice. Good luck getting it all done.

Gotta go place a Mary kay order now. I'll be back tonight!
