Morning all! The weather has taken its toll on me... I woke up stuffy. My sinuses cannot take this hot and cold stuff goin on here. It was odd last night to see the hail stick around for as long as it did! We'll have to look and see if there is any real damage or not when it gets lighter. I admit, I personally haven't seen hail that bad here... some in our neighborhood were golf ball sized, though the majority were 1/2"-1" long!

Sherry, have fun shopping at Kohl's!!! They usually do have good sales when a store opens!

Lily, that is so cool that Delilah had that broadcasted. I used to listen to her all the time!

Howdy Bethie! Oh and I am laughing at your comment... that would have been funny to hear walking in. Though, I never think Deliverance (can't watch that movie here) when I think of that song. I used to hear it as comedy sketch before I even knew of the movie :)

That's what I was thinking about the system Suzanne! On another thread, someone said they get them for severe thunderstorms... that makes no sense either. We get those so often, I'd ignore them. We had to turn the TV on to the weather channel to see we were in a tornado warning. I could tell by looking at the dang sky! I can only guess that people were not on top of it last night because we are on the west side of the county. The people more central and east did get a warning. You'd think the radar would warn them though

Not sure what I am up to today. Feeling blechy due to being stuffy.

Morning Ya Yas!

238 days! Thanks for asking. (still haven't settled up on it with myself exactly--I will for sure soon as our budget announcements will be made)

Have a great day all!
:sunny:

Thank goodness it wasn't "Dueling Banjos" from Deliverance!

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Just what you want to hear when going on a rafting/tubing/canoe trip on a strange river. :teeth:

Happy Belated Birthday to Gwenie ;)

Morning all.....having another not so good day.

Need to try and clear my head....( I should mention that these are Chris issues that I am dealing with and I am stressed to the max...)

*** please think good thoughts for one of my staff members - newly divorced mom of 5 - loser ex husband - she was putting her kids to bed during her break last night - slipped and fell - broke 2 bones in her leg and tore tendons on both sides of her ankle - having surgery today - no telling how long she will be out fo work.

Alan - no snapfish here but thoroughly enjoyed your accounts...

Hi to Suzanne - Elaine - Lily - Kimmar - Sherry - Beth - Tara - et all....

More later maybe....

 Paula, I am sorry you are having a rough time and do hope it gets better.

What a horrible thing to happen to your co-worker. :(

Good morning, all! Working a mid shift today, so I got to sleep in and I still have over an hour before I need to leave!

My thought, exactly, Alan!! From the pictures and your reports, it sounds like you two had a wonderful time. Swimming with the sting rays sounded especially cool, to me! Bet it's good to be home in your own bed, though.

Have fun at Kohl's, Sherry!! Used to be I couldn't walk out of that store without dropping a couple hundred bucks. Thankfully, she buys her own clothes, now! I still like the men's dept. for all the great polo shirts--I'm afraid I'm addicted to them and Kohl's always has great sales.

Sorry to hear you're all stuffy today, Laine. That was some nasty weather you had last night, too! We got lucky and it passed to the north of us already. I know exactly what you mean about the comedy sketch and Dueling Banjos, too. Just that whenever I hear it, the first thing that flashes through my mind is the guy standing at the top of the cliff looking down at the rushing river. That movie gave me nightmares for months!!

 Paula, Hope you are feeling less stressed today and things are much better for ya. Your kitten is positively adorable, I just love her!! Has she "weaseled" her way into your hubby's heart yet? I'm thinkin' it's just a matter of time!

Gettin' ready for a little vaca, eh, Lily? You and Ted certainly deserve some time off! Hope your trip is thoroughly enjoyable and you both get the rest and relaxation you've earned. Just wish we weren't coming in as you leave!! It would be so nice to spend some time with ya'll again. :guilty: So how did your visit to the dinner prep place go? Sounds comparable to the place we go--we figured roughly $4 a meal for each of us. I heard that one of the other places around here only uses frozen veggies, though. What about your place? Ours is all fresh, although the fruit for the cobblers was frozen.

Hey, Suzanne! So, if I wanted to check out the menu at your store, which location do I click online? I still can't get over how good the Roasted Chicken with Summer Vegetables was!! Loved the beef with roquefort, too.

Tara, that letter from Emily was just too precious for words! I'd scrap that one for sure, too!!! I'm so glad to hear you don't make those kids "sufer" either!! :rotfl: You are obviously having a very positive influence on that child. WTG, teach!!

I'd best get moving, here. Got a few things to do before I head in to work and if I don't get started, I won't have time. Have a wonderful day, ya'll!! :grouphug:

Paula, sneated!! Sorry it's another not so good day, my friend. I can certainly sympathize, having raised a problematic young man, myself. It DOES get better, I promise!!

edited to add: Whoo-hoo!! Just look at that post count!! I just LOVE nice round numbers!

Congrats on 2500 Beth!

And now to finish the cruise pics:

I'm going to go out of order and place Day 7, our final day at sea first.

Feel free to quickly skim. Michelle had her camera out and wanted to try a lot of different pictures near Gatsby's Garden, a quiet walkway at the aft of the ship. There's a lot of repetition and sweet stuff so it would be a bit anti-climactic to the rest of the trip.

Day 6 is more interesting. Our final port was Costa Maya
We did a lot of reading on cruisecritic.com before the trip and learned the story of Cha-Chi resort.

The owner had sold the land that the cruise ship operators used to build the pier on a handshake deal that access would be allowed to his resort. Unfortunately the developers put a wall around his resort and no tresspassing signs to keep tourists out. They have developed a pier shopping area and want to keep passengers there.

Otherwise, you can take a taxi and travel to Majuhal, the fishing village that was originally here. It has become a town catering only to tourists now, but still retains a bit of the old flavor. This is where you haggle for junk with people on the streets. :teeth:

We wound up with some coasters and two blankets :rotfl:

I did appreciate the guy who said "Mr. Whiskers..come over here and buy a Cuban cigar" (I didn't btw ;) )

After Rebecca and I toured the village and relaxed a bit, we took a taxi to the pier and asked about Cha-Chi.

We read a lot of stories about how security sometimes will not let you through but our driver took us to the hole in the fence. Yes, we had read about it and knew we would have to join the "hole in the wall gang" to get through. It is difficult walking along the fence line until you get into the trail.

There is an "official entrance" several miles away through a nature preserve, but most taxis will refuse to take you there.

Daniel and Michelle had emailed the owner in advance and rented a bungalow for the day to enjoy the porch and beach area in front of it. We met up with them after going into the village. The waves and wind were rough that day, but the current was not bad so we went in.

And that wraps it up. We had a great time!

....hey, Alan,

[Hey, it's the best I could do on such short notice.... :confused3 ]

AAACCCKKK!! Would anyone like 3 boys? They are driving me insane tonight.

Kohl's didn't have that great of a sale. :( I did get another $10 off card, though. :bounce: I only came out with a pair of jeans today. It will be nice having it basically right around the corner.

Alan, more great pics. Sounds like a great time was had by all.

Paula, what a shame about your co-worker. Prayers on the way. Sorry for all the stress your under right now. Hope things get better soon.

Beth, congrats on 2,500 posts! :bounce:

Elaine, wow, sounds like you had some bad storms. Thankfully we didn't get any.

Lily, :yay: for vacation coming up! You deserve it.

Suzanne, I got accosted about the Kohl's charge, too. :rolleyes1 Wonder why you didn't get a card? I got mine in the mail, and then one of the workers today handed me one while I was shopping.

Hi Tara!

Hi Kimmar!

TGIF!! Good Morning!

Have a few errands to run this morning. My mom is stopping by this afternoon to drop off some stuff for me. Going to the Homecoming Game with the boys tonight. I'm sure I'll freeze.

Morning...

The final day to play. Managers return on Monday:(

Alan...great pictures. I am so ready for another cruise, but I don't see that happening anytime in the next few years:(

Sherry....have a good time at the game, stay warm. I about froze at our picnic yesterday. One person went for charcoal and we all stood over the grill to stay warm. Eventually a group of us went on a 1.8 mile walk to warm up...it did warm us up.

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!

Ya Ya meet at the Waterford Craft Show this weekend!!! :thumbsup2

It looks like DW Sue and I are driving to Waterford for their craft show. We have turned into craft show junkies and Waterford is one of the oldest juried craft shows in the nation. And it just happens to be nearby Beth and Dave, so we are hoping that they can make it over to Waterford on Sunday.

Anyone else want to join us??? :woohoo:

Good morning gang,

rainy, ugly day here!

We are supposed to be going to Busch Gardens tomorrow. But the weather might not cooperate. So we (Astrid, Susan, and I) might end up going to either Richmond to go Scrapbook shopping or we might run up to Beth's store (I think that would be a bit far, but they are young and can do it so I should be able to do it!)

gotta go show a video.
