Evening, all. Another busy day and I feel a headache brewing. Ugh.

John, I didn't see any, but that doesn't mean they didn't have any. The owner, Brian, is such a nice guy-I mentioned that they'd had the Song of the South Laser Dsc on ebay and he showed me a Poster he'd just acquired that had been signed by the gentleman who voiced B'rer Bear. Very cool. I'll keep an eye out-I think we'll be over there in November for the WL stuff.

Lily, the beauty of the meal preps is that most of them encourage you to alter the recipes-if you don't like something, they tell you to leave it out. Yeah, it was kind of productive, but I wanted it to be productive in cleaning the house!

Alan, fair isn't until February-the state fair is only a few miles away. I get the impression the county doesn't bother since the state's is held here. We have a huge Strawberry festival, too.

Amanda, I have a feeling Ed says the same things about the nights I work late.

Tara, would an easy trip be boring? How was scouting? We earned a belt loop today, woohoo.

Gotta find some grub, I'm hungry!

Suzanne

Elaine...chicken!!! We could have a good time taking wrong turns, forgetting things, losing things, you name it we could do it!! (heck going to the mall is sometimes a chore for me!!)

Suzanne...we have 6 things we need to do to earn 2 belt loops. It's more work than I give my 6th graders for homework. They want it done by the third week of the month so they can give it to them at the pack meeting at the end of the month. We are getting ready for the Raingutter Regatta. I figure he can work on it with dad this weekend!! :rotfl: Nah...I better do it with him b/c I will let him do it himself with a little help...dad would do it and let him help a little bit!

Lily...enjoy your meal prep! The only time I enjoy meal prep is when i go out to dinner (preferably without the children) and I put the napkin in my lap and pick up my utensils!! Now that is meal prep to me!! :rotfl:

Beth...glad you got three minutes here!! I'm booked for my next friday night scraping for friday the 13th! Altho I'm not sure that scraping until Midnight and then getting up and taking the kids to Busch Gardens is the best idea...but it is what works this month!

Only had two "fits" today. Thank goodness both were resolved with very little drama. This one kid feels the need to scream at me that I'm "crazy" every time I tick him off :rotfl: I guess to an extent he is right...I teach him don't I??? :teeth: Today's fit was because his mom forgot to give him lunch money and he didn't want the cheese sandwich they were going to give him. He kept telling me he couldn't eat cheese (but he could eat the cheese pizza he wanted just fine!)...when i finally told him that I would call mom and find out "officially" that he couldn't eat cheese his story changed :rotfl: I could give you a full on story of all the things his mom supposedly won't let him do, but I'll sum it up this way...when I called mom and told her all of this, her reply was "he's full of crap!" :lmao:

Anyway, going to head to bed now! I'll see you all tomorrow!!

Morning....

We go to 2 country fairs each year, where we currently live and where we used to live. The girls love them. They also go to 2-3 other carnivals in the summer. Although our trips aren't as adventerous and Tara's.;)

Lily...Dinner prep sounds fun. Not sure if there is one close to here. Is it expensive?

Gotta get to work. Meeting a friend for lunch, then working offsite. Tomorrow I am working from home in the AM, then off to a fun day at the park with the other admins....gotta team build.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning Ya Yas!

Elaine, ouch for needling your arm.

Yup, that would be me generally when it's my turn to make dinner I dial! or, we travel! ::yes::

I'll bet the young man will not let his Mom forget to give lunch money after yesterday's fun lunch! Great lesson in responsibility there. I loved Mom's response!

John, whatcha gonna hook up to the button panel?

Amanda, I look forward to learning more about it. Food that will be prepped says it is to serve 5-6 people, and nutritional info says 6 servings. With that in mind then cost is $3:03/meal. Even if we get it to go only 5 ways (our family size) it will be $3.63/meal. Beats the price of the way I usually prepare my meals!

Sherry, Kimmar, Alan, Bethie, All Ya Yas Everywhere,

Good morning everyone! Sleepy feeling today.

Suzanne, I have to smile, I bet the beauty of living in FL is that you can have the state fair in Feb. I wouldn't even want to imagine trying that sort of thing here in Feb :teeth: I hope your head is feeling better now!

Tara, just call me BokBok Girl ;) I admit, there is this anal retentive side of me that would go stir crazy if I got lost like that on a trip. I just don't deal well with that sort of thing. No comment on you being crazy or not, but I am laughing at the mom's reply to the kid. At least she is realistic about it all :p

Morning Sherry & Lily :)

Amanda, sounds like you have a couple nice days ahead of you. Enjoy the lunch and tomorrow sounds great. I always loved it when they had us do the "team building" stuff. Of course I don't think it ever helped, but it sure was fun!

Hook up? You mean I'm supposed to do something with my WWTBAM button panel other than leaving it on the kitchen counter for the next year or so?

I haven't a clue what I'm going to do with it. Sue has suggested that I build (ha ha) a shadow box to hold the button panel and a set of my WWTBAM buttons. Yeah. Right. I'll get to that just as soon as I possibly can.

John,
How is your son liking YSU?

Suzanne and Tara - all of your talk about Cub Scouts and earning belt loops has me longing for the good old days! :guilty:

DS is taking his application up to his Troop tonight to become Junior Assistant Scoutmaster now that he's 18. No more merit badges for him. :guilty: He certainly had a lot of fun earning those badges (56 total and I think 6 Eagle Palms). Now it's his turn to mentor and help the younger boys along the Eagle Trail. :thumbsup2

Amanda - I would be miserable at that Team Building Event! :rotfl: I am so NOT a team player! Hope the day is a good one for you!

Elaine - never travel with me then! :rotfl2: My trips are always like Tara's -- wrong turn here, missed exit there....

Hello to everyone else!! :goodvibes

I had to go to the "health fair" at Luis' work. Apparently my honey is an excellent guy at the limbo and I am not half bad myself :rotfl:

Just what sort of things go on at these so called health fairs?
Did they break out Twister too to text flexibility?

Tara, I'm :rotfl: at the Mom's response to her kid. I'm very proud of Abigail for knowing (and being honest ;) ) about what she can and can not eat.

Mrs. AA is with her this morning on Abigail's first field trip. They are going to the zoo this morning.

Amanda, have fun with the team building exercises. Give us a report.

Count me as another one who "doesn't play well with others"!!! Unless team building includes liquid refreshments, then I'm not much of a team player!

If I hadn't been so agitated with the kid yesterday I might have laughed at his mom's remark. I did find it funny later, just not at that moment in time!!

He brought his lunch today so there are no problems (well, except that he always gets the same thing and his mom never gives him any snacks and..blah blah blah!!). We've made it 2.5 hours without any tantrums. I'm hoping it stays that way!! hehehe but I'm not holding my breath for it!

Elaine...I'm confused...what's a "BokBok"???

Alright, gotta run and look busy! Back later,
tara

I think it's that singer who dressed like a swan for one of the award shows a few years back... :confused3

:rotfl: Nice one Pam! And nice to see you stop in. We always have more fun when you are around :teeth:

A BokBok girl is a chicken girl silly :p Many different spellings of that based on which region you are in ;)

John, wouldn't it be easier just to buy a shadow box that is the right size? Or see if you can go to a 4H group or boyscouts to see if they will be able to make one for you as a merit badge project :teeth:

Pam, I suspect that if you did travel with me though, that you would be okay. I'd be reading and giving directions after all!

Tara, if he throws another tantrum, my suggestion is to get out my fix it all equipment... duct tape ;)

I'm being lazy today, but I really should get up and go to church to do the books.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: lord I wish I could do that!! Duct tape his mouth, his hands, and his feet!!! :lmao: :lmao:

I realized a little bit ago what the BokBok was!! It was the chicken soudn!! Gawd I'm a dork!!! :lmao:

can't eat lunch now because there are people in my room. ugh!!

no rest for the wicked!

Howdy!

Back from making my meals at the meal prep place! :thumbsup2 One of the nice perks of the job-so I made my 12 early in the month. Two purposes, to see where things could be made easier for the guests and to be able to talk about them. Lots of people want to know which ones are our favorites. I'm big on telling what to do with the leftovers when you're a family that's too big to split the order, but too small to eat it in one meal.

I know what I want first-we've got a dish that's really similar to Outback's Alice Springs Chicken. My favorite there.

Pam, hey, lady! I think about you every time I see those cans of popcorn. :)
I think the skinny kid is going to run out of space for these belt loops in a few months if they keep trying to do 4 a month!

Lily, lest just say that the evenings are lot easier now that we don't have to worry about what to make (or when to find time to grocery shop!)

Kimmar, LOL at that quote!

Lainey, you know, you *could* come down in February and enjoy a fair in Florida. :thumbsup2 Have fun at church! BokBok always make me think of the old M&M's easter commercial!

Amanda, have fun taking a field trip for work!

Tara, never a dull moment, eh?

John, you could mount that in the bathroom for something to occupy those using the facilities!

Alan, cool first field trip. Usually it was the pumpkin patch where I grew up-would have preferred the Zoo!

Off to work. Maybe I'll pop into Kohl's real quick before getting in, though.
