Sleep well with sweet dreams! The day has raced by again with no time to visit. Know that I love ya'll and am keeping up with ya's. :grouphug:

Where did my day go yesterday? I'm not sure, but if someone figures it out let me know ;)

Alan, good luck getting everything ready for the party this weekend!

LOL, Lily, always stinks when someone wakes you up so early, eh? ;)

Sherry, I get so bad with things like that at times. You'd think that uploading pictures wouldn't take too long! I did just upload a few more of the kitten :)

Kitten
Found out the baby was born on August 13th :)

John, I loved that segment there! How funny that was!! I do hope it gets to air no matter what!

Paula, I am sure the perfect kitty will come into your life. They always seem too ::yes:: Kittens are hard to get at times, because everyone asks for them so quickly :teeth: But if you do want a kitten, if you have a vet you trust, ask them. They often know where to get free ones :)

Tara, sorry you had to stay for the slamming kid. I swear I don't get how kids act at times

No comment on see through curtains :p

Howdy Bethie! Always glad to see you pop in whenever you can!

I think after all I've done this week, I plan to stick closer to home today. So hopefully I'll be around some :)

Morning!

No nephew today. Have :laundy: to do and need to run to the store. What fun. :rolleyes1

Elaine, I always get distracted doing everything else, and forget to upload pics. :teeth: Cute, cute, cute kitty pics. :)

Hi Beth!! Hope things slow down for you soon.

Setting the DVR, John. Hopefully no breaking news tomorrow.

Morning, all!

I was thinking I'd clean this morning, however, if I don't go exchange my Webelo's shorts, I won't have his stuff for my Wolf to cut his soapbox derby car saturday.

That's a funny one-we're race geeks in this house, some more than others. The TV, when it is on, usually is tuned to some sort of show that features wheels and an engine. Sooooo, Kevin has grown up knowing the drivers by the commercials. He pipes up with "I'm going to make my car look like Crazy Old Man's" :rotfl: Most people wouldn't get it, but it means my boy is making his car appear like my favorite driver's, Mark Martin (thanks to a Nextel Commercial). :thumbsup2 I can see it now, at the Derby, the child will say "Look at my Crazy Old Man's Car" The thought has popped into my head to get Ed to dig out HIS soapbox car.

Sherry, enjoy the quiet while you get housework done!

Lainey, your day yesterday was like my Tuesday. I ran errands all day and felt like not a thing got done! So, when does Yoda come home?

Bethie :wave2: Do you want feedback on the next menu? :teeth: I need to PM you on the WDW trip! Something about a restaurant at DtD.

Tara, how's the head? I should probably send you some chocolate covered espresso beans-they work quick when the meds don't.

Paula, have you got a Petsmart near you? Any time I've been in there, they've had adorable kitties. I think they have adoption events every weekend.

Alan, you are evil!

Back later, I think. If I leave now, it won't take too long to get over to the scout store and back.

Suzanne

:dance3: Good news!!!

Alyssa's old boss from the animal shelter called me last night - she said that one of the baby girl kittens that had been "on hold" was available again !!!!!

I have to go to my vet today and pre-pay her spaying (Animal Shelter policy) - they will give me a cert and then I can bring her home!!

** update - got another call - if I get the cert today I can bring her home this afternoon!!!! Gotta run to the vets and then to Job Lot to get provisions. She's already litterbox trained. I will probably have to keep her box and food in the downstairs bathroom for now seeing she is so little. I always had it in the basement so that Casey would not indulge - figure if I keep it in there it wil get her used to the room and I can put her there when I go out for now - until she and Casey are used to each other.

Did I mention I was excited?????

No clue what Jeffrey's gonna say..oh well.... Gotta think of names ....since she is my "empty nest" gift to myself I may have to call her "Harley" - hahaha.

I'm off.....Jeffrey has my camera so I can't post pics till the weekend.....

I would avoid going with the Viagra sponsorship for a scouting event though. ;)

Lainey, cute kitten!

Paula, congrats on the same. I'm :lmao: at Harley as an "empty nest" name. :teeth:

I'm rather happy with the AAA sponsorship, lol! Ed hasn't bought a shirt since the Pfizer deal! Gee, I wonder why?

Suzanne

It's just as well that he changed sponsors.

AAA can give him trip maps (turn left, turn left, turn left, etc) and give discounts in the pits

I understand the Viagra car was a little too stiff around the curves anyway.

But moving on......

Oh no, Look I'm posting again, already and it hasn't been 3 months yet

Paula: You are just a teenie bit excited about this new kittie, huh? :Pinkbounc LOL, enjoy your new baby. Can't wait to see a pic.

Lainey: You get a new kittie, too? (Can't see pics when I am at work :sad2: ) DS is playing right tackle. he really has been wanting to play for years but overprotective mom kept putting him off. This year I gave in and actually pushed for it. he loves it and it is helping him be more social and a little less insecure.

:wave2: Sherry, how are all your guys doin'?
LOL, Tara! Think you are right there. Ethan is definitely going to be your sports kid.
Outta time already :wave2: to Beth, Lily, Alan and everybody else I missed. Back to the grind.........

Woo hoo!!! This is the first time I could sneak in here with out someone distracting me since early this morning :teeth:

Sherry, I hope you enjoy the day with out your nephew! Not that you don't enjoy him, but it is always so much easier to get things done when you are by yourself! Oh, I havne't asked in a while. How is Julian doing with school now?

Suzanne, Yoda (who we are pretty sure will be Leia) has a vet appt scheduled for Oct 9th at 10:45 am. I'll either pick her up early that morning or the night before. We'll see that weekend though.
We also have cats for adoption at our Petsmart. Sometimes I go in there just to look. Never would bring home though... my family would kill me :p Plus with a headstrong lead cat, I'm afraid a real cat would cause issues in the pecking order :rotfl:

Paula, I am so very happy for you!!!!! Congrats on the new kittie! Can't wait to see what she looks like.
You ought to call her Bette... you know for that Black Corvette that people also get while in the midlife crisis mode :teeth:

Alan, you're bad!!!

Rose Mary, glad you stopped on in!! I hope you make us a habit ;) I'll be getting a kitten in a few weeks. The little one is just about 5.5 weeks old now. Glad that all is working out with your DS for the football! I hope he doesn't get hurt while playing, but glad it is helping him in the social area.

Bette is clever. It beats Toupee or Trophy Wife...

Everyone here must have real lives of sumpthin'

I enjoyed my day. I love my nephew to death, but the boy never sits still. So, I was able to get all the comforters/sheets washed and caught up on some :laundy:. :yay:

Elaine, Julian is doing much better with the whole school thing, thanks for asking. :)

Paula, :yay: for a new kitty! Can't wait to see a pic. :)

Alan, you crack me up! :lmao:

Rose Mary, good to see you again. The guys are all doing great. Driving me nuts, but they are great. :teeth: Yay for your DS playing football. My guys play practically every day and want to play for the school, but now with the pay-to-play it is just too much. :rolleyes1

Hi Suzanne!

Geez this day is gone and I don't feel like I've accompolished anything!

Two meetings, two classes with quizzes, one lunch meeting (I thought it was a team meeting that I had to attend  ), and one kid freaking out (this one wasn't even mine!!) oy vey!

So now im going to go sit on the couch and watch tv shows that are recorded!! I'll be back tomorrow!!

tara

Page 3! :earseek:

Good Morning!!

Gotta get the boys moving. Have to take Jonathan to an eye appt. this morning.

:moped:

:wave2: A drive by-I've gotta get two kids dressed, lunches made and to work in a half hour! That's not happening, lol!

Suzanne

Morning Ya Yas!

Elaine, kitty girl is so cute. You have a "boss cat" that won'tlet you bring in others, only kitties? I'm sure it will be a fun transition. Good that you are able to keep that little one with its Mama for a bit longer.

Sherry, glad the guys are doing their guy-thing and all are now ok. Too bad about that pay-to-play thing.

Alan, god that you are back. Pics?

Suzanne, you're late. Good thing the boss won't mind when you stroll in after start-time.

Paula, yay fo ryour kittie! I hope you really get to enjoy her. I'm sure she will rule over the pup. Litter box and dogs, oh how well I remember the art of making certain it was out of their access, food bowl too. Made me smile--thanks.

RM, good luck to your DS and his football. I hope he has a great season.

Whew! It's Friday!   Yesterday I managed through my day with no breaks. Even lunch was late. It wasn't stressful, just busy thankfully. Got home and totally crashed ALL night. Just sat and did zero--stayed up late doing it too!

Hey y'all! Apparently the boards were down for a good portion of the night last night. A lot of my friends couldn't get in either. And I totally forgot about coming in here this morning to say hi

Alan, why do you say we have real lives? Geez, can't you tell this is my life? ;)

Sherry, I am glad to hear that Julian is doing much better now! Hopefully he won't have that kind of anxiety while transitioning into school again.

Tara, I do hope your day is much better for you today!!! Take it easy if you can :)

Howdy Suzanne :wave2:

Lily, let's just say that a full grown cat is even more of a conflict than a kitten. Kittens can be whipped into shape easier and told who is in charge! Two adult cats can be rough. A lot more "who is boss" going on. Cleo runs the house and we know it ;) I hope your day today is also a better one! At least find time for a break or two!

Not sure what I am doing during the day. I have a Third Day concert to go to tonight though :hyper:

I now know that I really do work in an insane asylum. We had another one of Emotionaly disturbed youts :teeth: pop his top. This is the second tiniest kid in our class and I really thought you was going to completely lose it. It happened in the other class but when I went looking for him he was sitting in a regrouping spot with his fists clenched so tight I thought he was going to break his own fingers. He was litteraly seething and refused to talk to us. His mom was called in and while she was there he finally calmed down and relaxed to the point he was laughing. He couldnt' even remember why he got so angry. so I made a deal with him...5 days with no tantrums like this (this was the 2 in as many days) and I would give him a wwi or wwII hot wheels type airplane. We tried to talk him into ice cream but he wasn't going for the that!

And here I thought it was just my own kid that was whacked out!!

Hello to everyone!! Can't stay long. Gotta get back to work and get somethign done before i leave this afternoon. I'm meeting the gang for dinner at Olive Garden for their never ending pasta bowl (now I would be thrilled if it was their never ending margarita bowl!) and then wally world to pick up a couple of things and then home to go to bed early so we can get an early start on the trip to richmond this weekend.!! woohoo! Pig @#$% here I come!! :rotfl:

tara

Pig???

Does that mean you are going to Richmond to "sow" your wild oats?

Ha! It's good to be back!
