Now that you have confessed your childhood habits, do you still find yourself waking up in strange places? ;)
Thank you, but I think I'll plead the Fifth on that one!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Quick hi. read! and now I'm off to bed. Have another 10 hour day ahead of me tomorrow!! Is it Friday yet??

Oh...AC*Moore is a craft store....sale on scrap crap!!

see ya!!
tara

Morning all... quick hi before going to help my dad install a storm door.

Tara, I hope you do find time to relax soon! And thanks! I knew I heard of that place before but I keep forgetting what they sell

Cleaning and other fun stuff here today.

Enjoy the day all!

 Morning all!

I had full intentions of posting yesterday .....until I ended up at work for an emergency meeting - threw the whole day off....

Went round and round and round with Chris yesterday - he cannot understand why I do not give him total access to "his money" - keep in mind that he spent $70 over the weekend and rightnow has no job.....I did my best to keep calm and edplain that he needs to learn to budget - etc - that most definitely fell on deaf ears - the kid lives for the moment - nothing more - thankfully (and surprisingly) I didn't back down - didn't give him any $$. And so it goes.

Woke up to 42 degrees here this morning

Elaine - I'm wondering if I didn't see you at Cheesecake Factory because I was too busy enjoying a Rasberry Martini?? Hope the door install goes well.

Suzanne....you rented a Charger?? I am so jealous - that was my first car.....I'll never forget the look on my mom's face when my dad bought it for himself.....she was not happy with that "race car"

Sherry - sorry about the "I want to come home from school call" - got many of those from both kids.....heartbreaking.

Amanda!!

Alan... :rotfl2:

Tara...scrap crap - you are too much....thank goodness I wasn't with you at Busch Gardens - my new diet would not have allowed a waffle cone....

Yes - I started a new diet yesterday - trying to journal - etc....hopefully it helps....

Gotta to check the exchange board - getting itchy for "giving".....

More later....

Good morning y'all.

Sorry about the tough budgeting lesson Sherry. If you have Dave Ramsey syndicated on a local station let Chris listen to him. He'll make you feel incredibly guilty and stupid if you don't budget well.

Of course, we took care of that by not listening to him as much :p

Now Tara, did you say you drink a fifth and wake up in strange places? :confused3 I'm calling DHR on you!

Good grief Lainey, you are starting early.

Paula...I started journaling yesterday. I keep playing with the same 10lbs, but actually need to lose 15-20lbs. Good luck as you start!

As for kids with money...I sometimes wonder if we take it to the extreme. We had new floors installed this summer, Mandy's first question was "How much did this cost us?" That from an 8yr old. They look at price tags before falling in love with something. Mandy even contemplated Disney in November because she didn't want to make up homework and she asked what it was going to cost us. I hope she keeps this going. Now I just have to get Cassie there, she just cries when she needs to pay for something...hoping someone will give in.

Kimmar...hope your birthday went well.

Elaine...you are always cleaning. What is there left to clean? Just don't come to my house. It is straightened...but cleaned walls it is not. Amazing what marks little hands can make.

Morning, all. Feeling incredibly lazy today--wonder if it's the grey skies.....laundry is calling, vacuum needs to be run, dusting, I have instructions to type up for my Disney class at work, cards to make for a contest we're having and here I sit with my hair still up in a towel! but, at least I managed to get dressed.

LOVE that cake! Incredible detail!

Hope the birthday was a happy one, Kimmar!!

 Sherry. Sorry about the phone call.

Have fun with the new door, Laine!

 Amanda! Good to hear from you again! I've been playing with the same 10 lbs. too--frustrating!

 Paula. What is it with the kids and the $$? Went thru the same thing with my DD when she was living at home. She's on her own now, but still needs daddy to subsidize her cuz she never learned to budget properly. With her, it's more important to have her dogs and have gas in her car to gallivant all over town than it is to pay the electric bill or buy groceries. Sheesh!

Tara, I was good and avoided the sale at AC Moore! But, that was mostly cuz I went a little overboard the week before at my own store on the new stuff that came in. So what did ya get??!!

Well, I have less than 2 hours to get my own stuff done before work, so I'd better get to it. Have a great day, ya'll!! :grouphug:

First time on the computer since yesterday morning. While helping Jonathan cut the grass, my BIL cut our cable wire in half, so no cable, and no internet. Cable guy got here around 1'ish and fixed the cable wire. :rolleyes1

This cold is kicking my butt. I am sooo tired all the time. Its driving me crazy.

Cool cake pic, Alan.

Hope you had a great day, Kimmar.

Amanda, good to see you. :) Sorry about the car, though.

Elaine, you can come clean for me, if you run out of things to clean. :)

Paula, those phone calls from school are truly heartbreaking. :( I feel so bad everytime.

Beth, we should just be lazy together. :) :teeth:

Busy day here... spent quite a while at church working honestly.

Tomorrow morning I am going to get up early and walk with Luis. Then we'll get blood drawn as we do annually for our docs. I'll come home and clean and prep for family coming. Maybe run an errand or two.

LOL, Kimmar, I don't use film here! I haven't since our honeymoon (more or less). Digital chick here :teeth:

Paula, good luck on the diet! If you need any support, always feel free to IM me :) And sorry about Chris' spending habits. I'm more like Amanda's girls. My dad paid for my wedding, and I still couldn't help but look at the price tags before we booked!

Alan, if you thought I started early today, wait until tomorrow. I'll be walking by 7am and have my blood drawn by 8!

LOL, Amanda, I clean because I have Luis :p Seriously he doesn't really have to do any of the cleaning now. Trust me, we are both happier this way! And good luck to you too on the last 10 pounds or so. Those always seem to be the toughest!

Bethie, I hope you managed to get everything done that you needed to! I had a bit of the same kind of attitude here. Just didn't want to do any of it. I eventually got off my rear enough to get at least my church stuff done and the kitchen cleaned.

Sherry, I shouldn't laugh at the cable being cut, but I did. Sorry you were w/o so long due to that! I am curious... were was this cable that did get cut? :teeth:
Oh and if I run out of things to clean, I think it will be a cold day in hell ;)

I should go... need to catch up on a few things before House comes on!

Morning!!

Elaine, the cable is on the side of the house. Its coming out of the ground and he just mowed right over it. :rolleyes1 Enjoy your walk. *shiver* about the bloodwork. I hate needles.

Time to get the troops up and moving!!

Morning all! Luis is finally in the last year of his 20s. For a few months we are actually the same age :teeth:

So I woke up, wished the birthday boy a good day and went walking/biking at the gym at work with him. Then we got the blood drawn.

YUCK!!!

I hate needles. Almost as much as spiders ;)

Blood pressure of mine was relatively low though considering I get worked up about needles and I just had worked out. Luis thought his 117/72 was good until I told him mine was 100/54 :p

Sherry, that sounds like an odd place for a cable line to be. Ours comes in from the top and then goes in about mid level on the side of our house.

I'll be cleaning in a while. I already went to the store today so I just have to get the cake and ice cream later :teeth:

Happy Birthday Luis

StickerCoquiHappyBirthday_300x225.jpg

I'm sorry about the needles Lainey, and for the cut cable Sherry (wasn't there a whole thread about that this week?)

Hi All!!

:bday: to Luis!! You really know how to start the day Elaine - needles - blod pressure checks :worship: and exercise....wow - no way am I gonna even try to compete with that!!

Sherry - Sorry about the cable issues - should I send you some orange survey "flagging"???? Got plenty of that here...

I might just be having Beth's lazy day today - still unmotivated....

Not sure if I mentioned but my husband 2 of his brothers and his dad are going on a moose hunt at the end of the month - my crazy husband is counting "get-ups" - that is # of work days til he leaves - he makes the announcement every morning and evening....just in case I didn't hear the morning announcement I guess....yeah - yeah - yeah - just go will ya!!! hahaha

Another day another kid mood....Chris came home yesterday - ;laughing and in a joking way said to me "where's my money - I want it now"....then proceeded to give me 1/2 of the cash he had made working with his friends dad....and....even said that he's going to to look for a more steady job after school today....

Alyssa called from school last night - very upsest - thought the roomate switch had fallen thru....says her roomate is nice enough to her but has her own friends and they are in the room late - etc - such an adjustment - she felt better today - said she submitted the form to move in with the girl she originally wanted to (and thankfully this girls roomate had put in a room change request as well) so hopefully all will work out...

Picked fresh rasberries and had them on my cereal this morning - I guess that's my big accomplishment for the day so far - hahaha.

Getting my act together....slowly.....

Hugs all around. :grouphug:

Elaine...Happy B-day to Luis! My work is pushing the health thing and actually bring someone on site in a few weeks to do all our bloodwork. We also have a site to log our eating and exercise. I got paid $40 to log into the site and will get $80 if I can finish the weight loss portion of this. Of course all is taxed

Not feeling well today. Rain always makes my head hurt, although not as bad as before I started my allergy shots. Elaine..you wouldn't like that, Todd gives me 2 shots weekly. Of course I make sure he is in a good mood first :rolleyes1

Fresh raspberries...are these from your yard or a local patch. I would love to do that. Growing up we ate the wild blackberries all the time.

The rasberries are from my yard!! They were sooooo yummy with cereal - I mix Kashi Go Lean Crunch with Mini Wheats.

*** I am soooo excited - I have been wanting to get an all-inclusive planner - one that I can use for both work and home so I'm nit checking so many calendars every month. Alyssa has a really nice one that her godmother gave her for graduation - monogrammed - she has a Franklin Covey Planning system. Now by "has" I mean she does not use it - hahha - but it will be a nice keepsake for the future. Anyway - back to the story - I dug out the box this morning to look at it to decide if that is whan I wanted to invest in - :thumbsup2 SCORE!!! there was an extra planner/binder in the box!! So...I'm off to Staples to buy calendar pages - etc!!!

Amanda that is great that your company is so health conscious - I don't think mine does anything like that - of course working from home I'm kinda "out of the loop.

More later.....

Hi y'all! Quick hi here... been busy running errands and the like.

Luis says thanks for the birthday wishes. I will have to show him some of the pics later :)

Paula, sounds like things are looking up with Chris. Sometimes it just takes a while to get in line. And I do hope that Alyssa gets her roommate change. I know what it is like when the roommate has visitors very late

Yikes, you are right, there is no way I could do those allergy shots, Amanda! I do hope you are feeling better soon. Luis' company does something kind of similar to being paid, but it just means we get cheaper insurance. They figure that if we do all this blood work and the like yearly, they can nip things in the bud before it gets too work. You even get a coach who will help you through the weight loss, exercise... etc. We've done this three years now and last year was my first year of not needing any coaching. I plan to keep that up ;)

Howdy John!!

And woo hoo on the planner! The Franklin Covey stuff is really nice, IMO!

I should get moving... catch y'all later!
