I can't say it any better than TC just did. ::yes::

Congratulations on getting the room painted as well.

Tara is still exhausting me with her continuing adventures. ;)

We had a pretty good weekend, so here's a quick good morning!

Hi everyone! Just been busy catching up here at home! As soon as I move the cats, I'll make the bed. Plowing through the laundry at the moment here.

Tara, sounds like you will have an interesting classroom. I do hope you won't need to coddle the parents too much.

Bethie, how are you feeling today? I know my allergies were terrible this weekend!!!!

Lily, hope you managed to get that bike ride in. Sorry that Ted was in need of unwinding though.

Kimmar, do you have a link to your trip report?

Sherry, are the boys settling back into the school routine? I couldn't imagine trying to do it with four of them

Suzanne, I thought exactly as you. Go figure the one card I would need is the one it won't read. I have a cheapy little one probably very much like you got form Walmart as well!

LOL, John, nice play on words and yep, she was awesome :)

Alan glad you enjoyed the weekend!

That was a lame ketchup, but sorry for that.

I did get to run this morning while it was sprinkling out. Have to decide what I want to cook for supper and finish up some laundry stuff. The front room is slowly getting back to normal. When it is, I'll take a pic to show y'all!

Yep, I think we were being very polite and well mannered by not asking for the pics up until now.

But it's a good thing you said it is in the works. ;)

shhh...don't tell anyone that I stopped by!! Busy working and found my ip addy so I could get in so I figured now was a good time to set it in my favorites!!

hi to everyone!!!
tara

Drive by here, at work and happened to check the Yahoo email. Glad I did, my SIL emailed that they got switched to Eastern itinerary and they're okay.

Lainey, Sweet memory of a woman who sounds like she was well loved.

Back to work.

Ketchup when I get home.

Suzanne

Nice location Suzanne. I can't believe they called for a state of emergency so early for a TS.

I hope you have all your milk, toilet paper, and plywood ;)

Quick hi. Super tired today. Started a diet, so I'm starving. :rolleyes1 Not in the best mood. :(

Anyway, :grouphug: and mad love to all!!

Alan, you are never polite, who are you kidding? And I admit, I thought that sounded a bit much for a storm that probably is about the same intensity as hte ones we get that spawn tornados. Hopefully the storm will stay weak and will stay away from NYC on Sat :p

Tara, your secret is safe with me ;) How is work going? :)

Suzanne, I didn't realize your sister was out on a ship. Where is she going now?

Sherry, I do hope you got a nap in today then. I imagine that you getting back on the school schedule isn't any easier than it is for them. Best of luck with the diet though! I'm sure you'll do great... any particular type of diet invovled?

I need to head to knitting... I will catch y'all tomorrow

Elaine, its hard to get back into a schedule, after not having one all summer. In another week or two, we'll hopefully be back into one. :teeth: Its been hard for the boys, too.
No particular diet....more a cutting back on portions, cutting down the junk and fried food, and cutting down on my pop intake. :) But, I'm hungry right now, so I'm not a happy camper. :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Tara, I'll never tell. ;)

Suzanne, I didn't know your sister was on a ship either. Glad they are OK.

Oh yeah, no nap, Elaine. :( I do think I'll be heading to bed early tonight, though. ::yes::

sorry no ketchup, just a quick hi again.

got home at 6 had dinnner, got the kids taken care of, jarrod in bed at 8, watched a little tv and now turning of the puter so I can go to bed.

Tomorrow is another long day. But hopefully it will all be done by 6 on Wednesday for open house!

hugs to all sorry to be a missing person this week!!

hugs to all,
tara

My SIL asked my MIL what she wanted for her 80th birthday, and her response was that she wanted to go on a Disney Cruise. Right now, I'm glad we weren't invited along! :teeth: Although this is SIL's second disney cruise and second hurricane while aboard. Please remind me not to invite her when we go next year. (shhh, that's a surprise 10th anniversary present, lol)

Alan, I'm stocked on all but water. If Ernesto decides to visit, I've got plenty of time to either brita the tap water or use the fridge's filter. Everything else, we always have around. Now I've got the store to worry about, though.

Tara, we won't tell.

Sherry, get that nap! We'd go to bed early, but today is the last day to watch "Feasting on Asphalt" on FIOS demand. My trick for hunger pangs is to have some soup. The warmth tricks the tummy into thinking it's full.

Okay, I consider myself quite adventurous with new cuisines, but Alton's eating something I wouldn't-brain sandwich :scared:

Suzanne

Morning!

Thanks for the tip about soup, Suzanne. :) I wouldn't cruise w/ your sister either. :teeth:

Tara, hope you get everything done in time for Open House. We have Jared's tonight.

Well, I better start getting everyone up and at 'em.

A quick hi here before I get off and running today on some things.

I was right and didn't get back on last night. We had two tornados touch in the area (or so the news said) so the sirens were going off most of the evening/night. The worst of the storms blew through at about midnight

Sherry, good luck with the diet! The first week or two are the hardest, but once you get into it, it really does get easier! Drink lots of water too... helps you feel full as well. And a lot of the time most of us don't drink near enough water, so our body is actually craving that instead of food
Take that last part as something Luis has said to me. I'll believe him until someone tells me differently.

Suzanne, I wouldn't cruise with your SIL either ;) Then again I ma not sure I would cruise during the height of hurricane season. THough the prices now are pretty low ;)

Tara, good luck getting everything done! I hope it all goes well and be sure to check in when you can!

I should get moving... catch y'all later!

Lainey, sorry to hear about the storms last night. Did y'all knit a tornado shelter?

Good luck with dieting and schedule changes to all of you who are going through one or both.

This is the girls' third week in school and Abigail had her first "assesment" (in place of tests) yesterday and did very well. We are pleased with her progress here.

Today was her first day to return to speech therapy. I expect a call from my MIL any second to ask for directions to her new school :)

Got a call at 9:10 that Julian had a tummy ache and wanted to come home. :( He did this yesterday too. Bad part of today is, school had only been in session for 10 minutes. :( He says nothing is going on at school, just that he is homesick, but I just don't know what to do. He has NEVER done anything like this before and I just feel so bad. :(

Thanks, Elaine. Sorry to hear about the storms. We've just had annoying rain. I'm over it already. :rolleyes1

Alan, :yay: for good assessments for Abigail.

Ouch, that's a tough call. I hope you can encourage him to "tough it out" and get back into the swing of things.

Of course, just as soon as you put your foot down, you discover that you child really is sick.

Good luck either way.

Alan, gald to hear that Abigail is doing well :)

Sherry, I don't know what to say to you. I am sure my mom would have just sent me off to school,b ut she was a different breed of mom ;) My heart goes out to you though... I am sure you will do what is best

errands ran... now I am tired as all get out

Evening gang,

only a quick pop in. I should be in bed by now but I have probably another hours worth of work! So tell that to the fools who think teachers have it easy! :teeth:

yeah for Abigail.
Hope Julian is feeling better.
Sorry to hear about your aunt :hugs:
hope Ernesto isn't too tough on you!!

Okay, that's all I can remember right now.

I ended up going to the teacher store to pick up a couple of things and ended up spending $150  But my room is going to look really nice. I've spent a ton of money on my room this year since it is a new room for me.

*I started this at 9:30 and it is now 10:48 ugh! I really have to get in bed (I got sidetracked cutting and taping bulletin board stuff together!)

hope everyone has a good night and a good day tomorrow. I'll be at school from 8 to 10 tomorrow morning, then going to get my hair cut, and then will be back for my regular hours tomorrow 12:30 to 8:45 because we have open house!

oh and I finally got my hair colored....it is much redder than i had planned but I like it, I doubt anyone else will like it because it is fairly drastic. I also found a couple of places that we missed so it looks like I have roots in some places :rotfl:

good night all!!
tara

Morning!

Hopefully Julian will stay in school today. I told him I can't pick him up. :( I feel bad, but I know its whats best for him. I had a talk with him last night, and I wrote a little note that I'm going to put in his homework folder....hopefully that will help. He says he doesn't want to stay cuz he misses me and Junior. :( He has never done this before.

Tara, we wanna see pics of the new color. ::yes::
