Evening, all! Been a pretty busy weekend for ya'll, I see.

Sorry about the soggy party, Sherry, but it sounds like the rain didn't put any kind of damper on their fun. Quite a haul that he was able to get himself a laptop!! Lucky fella, for sure!!

Our Lainey is a celebrity, eh?! Handing out autographs...next she'll have a complete entourage and groupies!! And we'll all be able to say we knew her when! j/k, ya know, Laine. Glad the event was so well received and the rain didn't spoil things. Sounds like what we used to do when it rained at King's Dominion--why run for cover when you can get cooled off and enjoy it?!

Aww, Tara, I'm so sorry about the headache, the paint color, the holey boards, and the inadequate primer. And don't worry, we all deserve a day off now and then. Let's hope this week is a much better one for you! Maybe another frozen mudslide or two would help. I'll join ya, as a matter of fact! Where are they?!

Oh yes, those dwindling numbers are looking good, Lily!! Were you able to get your wog in with the wet weather that was going on? Hope you and Ted were able to get some down time and had an enjoyable weekend.

Suzanne, what a cool thing to host the radio station's event!! And lucky you to get a great CD out of it!! How was the ball game today?

Alan, your new puddytat is a cutie! Funny thing, though, I always thought Mickey was a mouse :confused3

Been too tired the last couple of days to do much more than veg in front of the TV when I get home from work. Got scheduled for 7 days in a row without a day off--today was day 4. Tomorrow starts the old grind with bells rehearsal on Mondays and choir on Wednesdays, too. The nice part is that I get this next entire weekend off!! (I'll probably be bored out of my skull  ) Dave cooked a very nice dinner tonight--helps that all he had to do was thaw and bake!! ;) But he even did laundry for me while I was at work! What a gem!! Which reminds me, I need to get some of that stuff folded so we have something to wear tomorrow. Have a great evening and I'll catch ya'll later. :grouphug:

Howdy!

Well, the boys had a very busy weekend, thanks to the Cub Scouts! The picnic was lots of fun for my men-I was with the radio station people. The way I summed that us to Ed is that it was very 'inclusionary'. I'm sure we've all encountered those who have the 'my church is better than your church' or 'I'm a Christian, that gives me the right to be a pain in the tukkus' mentality. Because this was a station that draws from all ends of the spectrum, it was nice. Reminded me of our church up north.

I should have clarified, I didn't take the CD. It was still in shrink wrap and I didn't feel right. That said, after playing it in store twice, I will go get some of their stuff. Lainey, yes, that was the album it was. I listen to two progressive rock acts that definitely have a religious leanings in their songs, and Third Day wasn't too far musically from them.

Ball game was wonderful. It was the Yankees(Mets fan here), but Kevin had fun trying to get a foul ball, the pack leaders are good peeps and the Yankees made a bunch of money off us on the hot dogs! :thumbsup2 They were darn good. It is much better to see a game live than watching it on tv, that's for sure. If you've got a minor league team nearby, the tickets are cheap and they are just as entertaining as the big time.

Knee deep in paperwork here-gathering stuff for Neil's SSDI application. My sister was a great help this week. She's been through this and told me what to expect. If I knew in '03 what I know now, we'd have appealed the first decision. I'm just happy that I'm very good at keeping paperwork. If you can lend some good thoughts this way, we can really use it. The child's meds cost as much as our mortgage each month! I really don't want an unmedicated child torturing everyone in his sights!

Bethie, want some insights on the meals this month? We've had all our July meals finally, woohoo. Hang in there-those long stretches are hard. I'll never do more than six in a row anymore, but I've had 13. Young and foolish back then! Have fun with dingalining and lalalalalalaing.

Sherry, awesome that he got a laptop! Pavillion and rain-good save!

Tara, were the wings good? Bummer on the stuff that made more work, not less. Funny paint story. Ed's mom was repainting her bedroom light green (years ago). She decided to start with doing the windows. Ed gets home and asks her why she painted the windows with the green! It was so light, she couldn't tell. Off to the paint store and a quart of a darker green was added to the white that was supposed to be trim (all semi gloss), and a sage green was the end result.

Boy, I've been mothy. I still haven't done the whole troubleshooting list to be able to post on the blog-so here I am, blathering on!

Have a happy Monday, everyone. I'll be here with the paperwork!

Suzanne

Good morning everyone! I really don't have much to say for myself, but I do have a question for anyone who has been to NYC or Philly

what do you like to do when there? :teeth:

My brother and I really want to plan out part of our trip now ::yes::

Tara, woo hoo for grass cutting. Hey you did get something done! And I agree! We all need days off so I hope you really enjoyed it.
My brother wound up calling part way through DD:HN and I sort of missed the ending. It was rather stupid actually. Something you'd expect as a made for TV movie if you know what I mean. It was just on ABC family so I watched it.

Luis and I caught a bit on ABC family in general this weekend, and something we don't get. it says it is for "a new kind of family" Luis and I want to know what kind of family since it really seems to show stuff that we don't deem "family appropriate" So we joke saying it is for a kind of family we wouldn't want :p

Bethie, take it easy if you can while doing that long stint at work! I think that is so sweet that Dave has helped out so much ::yes:: Oh and I totally agree on the rain... that was always one of the best things to happen to us at KI or CP. Lovely rain to cool everything off. Really makes the day far more bareable!

Good wishes for you all Suzanne. I hope it will all work out with the paperwork.
Gotcha on the CD too. If you ever want to listen to any of that, I have quite a bit of their music. They reallly put on a good show as well. I hope some day to go to that night of joy when they play or the one at Universal.

I probably should get moving. It seems that sometimes if I get up this early and get online, then I wind up doing too little during the day.

I'll check in later :)

Morning!

Have to run to the library to drop some stuff off, and do :laundy:, and that is all I have planned, so far. :teeth:

Suzanne, good luck with all that paperwork.

Beth, wow, hope you get to relax this weekend. Have fun dingalinging. :teeth:

Elaine, I thought DD:HN was cheesy. Nowhere NEAR as good as the first one. Can't help with NYC and Philly.....never been.

Tara, I hear ya on the catching up on recorded shows. I've done that, too, and then realized most of the day was gone by the time I was done.

Jonathan has been having fun with his laptop. Got a great deal on it and a free printer to boot. :teeth: He even still has $$ left over.

Morning Ya Yas!

Great day in the mornin'!

Tara, sorry about the return of Jack, hope it's all better now. Good luck choosing paint.

Elaine, glad your weekend went well in spite of the rain. So you're not representative of "new family?" I wonder what they're aiming to hook?

Sherry, Wow! a laptop! He is one lucky 16 year old! Glad all went well there in spite of the rain.

Beth, you are one busy lady for sure. I'm glad that you've got yourself scheduled for things you like to do though. Take it easy if you can with all the work going on there. You do have a wonderful DH!

Suzanne, whee you are so busy for sure. Hope all goes well with that application for Neil.

Alan, hope your weekend went well.

Our weekend was...well, whatever. Just not quite the great one is all. DH had some work things go on. I volunteered for our Relay for LIfe Fundraiser, where it was rainy and such. Sunday was kind of mixed up. Nothing horrible, just nothing much. Back to work and all the fun associated with it. Have a great day all!

 to everyone.
:sunny:

Lainey, I am glad that the wrestling went well, you little diva!

Sherry, it sounds like Jonathan had a fun time; I'm glad it was.

I've done nothing but park my fat **** in front of the tv and watch shows I had recorded.
Yeah, well considering I get exhausted just reading the things you do around the house, I'd say you are entitled.

Yep, but I didn't get the girls a pet mouse ;) And he was named in honor of our favorite little mouse, after all.

I'd like to blatantly steal Lily's ketchup and offer a  to her as well, cuz it sounds like it could be used.

Good morning Y'all-Y'alls.

Hi gang,

I'm actually at the Saturn dealership waiting to get my car worked on. They have complimentary internet service so I'm taking them up on it. It is going to take two hours to do my car and we meant to drop it off here last night but never got around to doing it. So mom is on her way to pick me up and then we are going to go to Busch Gardens and I'll pick up the car tomorrow morning before I head over to the school to get some stuff done!!

I ended up going to bed fairly early last night and sleeping in until 10 today. I guess my body needed some extra shut eye!!

Lily sorry your weekend wasn't all that spectacular. Hope today is good!

Elaine...Yeah...there are things on ABCFamily that I wonder about too!! It's certainly not our family!! hehehe As for NYC and Philly....last time I was in philly was probably before you were even born!! :rotfl: Actually...it was in 1980 or some such thing so I don't really remember much of it (I was 9). But I hear there is a big bell you can see! :teeth:

Alan...my running around can't be nearly as exhausting as you with three woman!! That's got to be worse!!

Beth...ack on the 7 days in a row! Astrid and are talking about a sept. or oct. trip up that way...we are waiting to hear about a rafting trip before we decide. I'm beginning to think we aren't doing a fall trip  but I have to wait and see.

Sherry...wah! I want a lap top!! (Not sure why but it seems like a good thing to have!!)

Suzanne....glad things went well for your ribbon cutting. Woohoo for seeing the Yankees!!

Hello to Paula, Rosemary, Pam, Todd, Amanda, John, Kimmie, KImmar (slacker on vacation!), AC/Thindy/Judie, Kristy, Nancy, Caroline (Hey stop by I have some canadian questions to ask you!), Tina, and anyone else I may have inadvertantly neglected to mention!!!

Gotta go and wait for mom to come pick me up!! I don't really want to go look around at the new vehicles because I might walk out with a new one!! :teeth:

backlater,
tara

Sherry, I want to be in your family! To get that much money would be awesome!!!! Then again, it was the big 16th (though does Junior's family do much for the 15th instead?)

Lily, I am sorry that your weekend wasn't all you hoped it to be. Ours was kind of blah on Sunday as well, though I wish we had been able to give you our weather. After the rain on Sat it was beautiful here
Not sure what kind of family they are tyring to hook, but definitely not what I consider as a true family.

One of the shows they have on there (an original for hte channel) had a kid saying somehting like "Romance is just what adults call sex" or something like that... not my kind of attitude

Wow, Alan, you get tuckered out easily then. I take it you don't do much yard work then do ya :p

Tara, what's up with the car that you need to be at the dealer? I hope nothing too terribly serious! Hope you had fun at BG today! And you twit! I was alive and well then thankyouverymuch. I know I've been to Philly, but not in about 15 years. I saw that big bell too :teeth:

Having dinner with friends... then knitting after. Too bad I am already tired

LOL, Elaine. No, not really much for the 15th, for the boys. Even my SIL's didn't do the big 15. I didn't think he'd get as much as he did.

Sorry your weekend was kinda blah, Lily.

Tara, what's wrong with the car? Nice of them to have free internet for ya!

Hi Alan!

Yeah well, it's true that I did pay some kids to cut my yard this weekend for the first time in my life. But I am considering using them for my MIL so I had to "field" test them, right?

My neighbors were coming very close to having a sign put up in my yard. :)

Three Moons Over Milford

I'm hooked on the show. It's on the ABC Family channel.

(Just popping in with the answer to today's unoffical YaYa trivia question - Now that WWTBAM-PI is closed, I need an outlet for my trivial knowledge).

We're hooked on Kyle XY on ABC Family. :teeth:

Just wanted to say good night and bump this back to page 1!! :tigger:

Hi gang,

Nothing serious on the car. Had to get it's well baby check up and have the state inspection. Turned out instead of 2 hours it took about 45 minutes! so i called mom back and told her not to come get me that I would come get them.

We had fun at BG. Ethan loved riding the train around and around so we did that a couple of times. (Jarrod can barely sit still from one station to the next let alone riding all the way around the place two or three times!!)

Elaine... :duck: so I guess you aren't as young as I thought!! hehehe

okay, gonna go watch tv for a bit and then go to bed!! I'll return tomorrow!!

tara

Morning all! I now there were tons of troulbe posting here... which is why I didn't get on until now either ;)

Sherry, I was just curious. Some of Luis' family still makes the 15 bigger, even if it is just the boys ;) My family was teh opposite, not much difference in birthdays no matter the age :teeth:

*sigh* Alan, what to do with you. I just hope they were good enough to send to your MIL... most wouldn't care that much :p

LOL, John! You got it! While it looks like a cute show to me, just not what I consider "family". I think something like Growing Pains or Cosby as family to me

Tara, glad you had fun at BG! And not that young... I am almost 30 ya know :duck:

I hope everyone has a great day and can check in when they want to. :)

Morning, all! Happy Tuesday!

:rotfl: When I was a teenager, it was a well-known FACT that "you can't trust anyone over 30" So, Laine, enjoy what little "trustworthy" time you have left!! :rotfl: Then you can join the ranks of the rest of us underhanded, conniving, lying, deceitful "old" people!!

So, the car "passed" it's checkup, Tara? And you managed to come home with the same car you went with?! So cute that Ethan likes to ride the train so much. Amazing how different our kids turn out, isn't it?

Did I see someone tiptoeing thru here last night?! One of our MIA sistahs?! Back from her visit with the Mouse and probably got a gorgeous tan, to boot!

Hey, TC!! Nice to see you dropping in again!

You up yet, Sherry?!

Gotta get moving. 2 more work days and then a day off! Whew!!! Have a great one, ya'll!!! :grouphug:

Hello, everyone!

I've been absent again. I know. I'm bad. I'm sorry.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks with packing, and shopping, and all that. I close on my condo a week from tomorrow, and hope to move on September 9th. It's crazy how busy this is keeping me.

Hopefully once I move, I'll be around more. I won't have as much disposible cash for a while, so I'll be looking for ways to spend my evenings ;)

Talk to you later.

Karen

Morning all

Wish us luck-we're off to Social Security in a few. I don't know if I'll scare them with all the paperwork. I've got Neil's first tests that confirmed Aspergers/PDD (from 2002), letters from day cares and a list of names, addresses and phone numbers of all the doctors that have treated him. This would be a godsend to get him on Medicare.

Back this afternoon.

Suzanne

PS. Car is back in the shop. The gas gauge keeps showing that it's 1/3 full, even though I've filled it up.
