Sherry good thoughts to you and family for the party and freshman orientation. Whew! Back to school expenses. Smart gas shopping...gas discount from grocery store?

Tara, hope your back to school expenses are not overboard.

Suzanne, what? they turned off your connection? Whoa! That is a fear I have when I online bill pay that it is going to the place it is supposed to be going.

Day has been interesting and well paced. I'm glad it's mostly over. I've got my early a.m. wog then early afternoon I volunteering for our Relay for Life fundraiser at the local home days. Hope to get house stuff done in small time on Saturday then Sunday DH and I get a day together!

Orientation went well. Got everything for the party....at least I think. Tomorrow will be the cake and ice. They are predicting rain/thunderstorms, so please send : that it waits until after 4:45.

I finished 10 pages today!! woohoo me!!!

We ate at a new restaurant that had the best Frozen Mudslides!! oh my I could have put away three or four of them (as it was I had two ).

Lily...I like those numbers for retirement!! Sorry Ted has to work so many days longer than you My expenses wouldn't be too bad if I didn't want my room to look nice. I only need a few more things to make it complete!!

Sherry....I'll keep my fingers crossed that the rain stays away until tomorrow evening. Yikes two kids in high school!! That's scary!!

Suzanne...glad the ribbon cutting went well for you! Sorry that your phone got shut off but glad you got your buggy back (mine goes in monday for routine maintence I'm a little skeered! ).

Okay, I'm outta here. Gotta get some shut eye! I'm either going to Walmart to buy paint for the kitchen and paint the kitchen tomorrow or I'm going to sit and crop at home all day tomorrow! I would really prefer to crop but jarrod won't be around to bug me while I paint so that is up in the air right now!!

I totally understand about not being in a posting mood. I so get thre myself. Just trying to let people know they are loved and missed here

I did get enough yard work done. Grass was cut. I got some edging done on Thursday.

Yesterday I got rained out of much else

I need to run though... wrestling thing today. My fingers are crossed for Sherry with the rain, but please do it for us too!!!

Morning!

Well, it has been raining all morning. Figures. Its been beautiful every weekend for the past month or more and the ONE DAY I need it to be nice, it rains.
It has stopped for now, so I'm hoping it won't rain anymore. We have the pavilion at the park from noon-4:45, so we'll see.

Elaine, hope your weather is better.

Tara, mmmm......love frozen mudslides.

Gotta start getting everything ready to take to the park.

LOL, Sherry, I was just coming in to say it has been pouring! The bad weather started yesterday for us. The radar looks clearer in the day though... in the next hour or so I would say.

not doing much today. Haven't started painting or scrapping Still trying to decide what to do. We're talking about going to Busch Gardens today and taking Ethan to the play area again. He is still talking about the rides there!!

Gotta look at the weather before we decide since it looks cloudy around here.

Gonna go look around the cb and see what I can find.

Wow, really quiet here! And I thought my other thread was quiet

We're back and it did rain... not too bad, just one downpour. I admit I was happy since I was hot as all get out. The rain cooled me off! People ran for cover and I just enjoyed it

It all went well. Kids even asked for my autograph

I'm tired so I am going to shower and then relax

Evening, all!

Very, very busy day-but oh, so cool! Our local Christian station did their annual event with us-kitchen was full of great people and the laptop came in handy for the CD's one of the DJs brought in. I got to crack open a brand new Third Day Cd (and was told I could keep it) and wow, that was a great disc.

Ed and the kids got to go to a Cub Scout picnic-and we were invited to a ballgame tomorrow. It's AAA ball, and it's the sworn enemies farm team ( ), but the idea of going is good.

Looks like everyone is out there and busy!

Sherry, I hope the rain held off for you to have a good day.

hi gang,

well back from running errands and doing more painting. We went to Walmart and bought the paint for the kitchen and then went to Home Depot to get some 1 x 4s to put down as kick plates under the cabinets. We bought primed ones so we wouldn't have to prime them when we got them home big mistake...

So here's how it goes...get home and realize the paint the guy gave us was semi-gloss....we asked for high gloss. The supposedly primed would had knots in it we knew because it was pine....the knots were actually holes that had been filled in and needed to have wood filler put in them. Then when we were doing that we noticed that the priming job left much to be desired and we had to sand the things down and prime them again.

So we went ahead and tried some of the paint on the wall and it looks like a 1950's bathroom color...yuck!! So we need to start again picking out a color...we need to go for more of a sage or moss green this time. Back to the drawing board.

So for tonight we have rejected a paint color, wood filled the holes in the boards, sanded the boards and applied two coats of primer. Tomorrow get they get painted and hopefully by tomorrow evening they will be installed!!

Quick hi here... a cat knocked off my teeny little sample bottles and theo ne missing is my allergy drops so I need to find that before I put contacts in for church. So forgive quick replies

Suzanne, which Third Day CD did you get? I know Wherever you are is the most recent and really good!

Wouldn't call me famous though, but if you look around on anything wrestling, I am going by my nickname y'all know me as. Today wasn't my usual last name, because no way I could be associated with Michigan

It was muggy as heck and did rain for the party, but we had a fun time anyway. The guys all played football in the rain and had a blast. Jonathan made out like a bandit and we went to Best Buy this morning and he bought a laptop. One of his friends spent the night, and our friends and inlaws hung out here last night and we cooked out again and watched movies and chatted all evening.

I need to get this place back in order and start getting some dinner ready.

Sherry, sounds like our weather! I know when it poured, I actually enjoyed it since it was so dang muggy out. Glad they all had fun! And wow, he really did seem to make out if he could get himself a laptop! Very cool!

ugh i'm here!

I've done nothing but park my fat **** in front of the tv and watch shows I had recorded. I ended up with a headache and then took a nap so I problably won't sleep tonight

Sorry about the soggy day Sherry. Glad he had a nice lucrative party anyway.

Elaine...never seen DD:HN...won't since it can't be nearly as good as the original.

Oh I did get the grass cut today two tweenagers came kocking on the door and wanted to do it so I paid them. Now my yard looks way better. So I guess I was somewhat productive today!!

off to eat some buffalo chicken wings and then watch more tv. Have a good evening all!!
