Evening, all......little bummed today.....went to late service at church and then down to Cracker Barrel for lunch since it's right across from one of our favorite theaters. Figured it wouldn't matter when we finished, Pirates is showing in so many of the theaters, there's one starting every 30-40 minutes. Unfortunately, just after we were seated, Dave got called in to work. At least we got to eat lunch. Came home and spent the afternoon paying bills, watching TV and working on another project for the store. Cooked dinner, packed up a few lunches, and changed the bed linens. Dave even ran the vacuum and washed the bathroom rugs for me, when he got home tonight. So, that's our exciting day.

Sounds like yours was just as exciting, Tara! Glad to hear the finger is improving and you were able to clean it up some. Boys must have behaved reasonably well for ya today that you were able to lay around. 'Bout time you took some time off and rested! Sorry about that "speech impediment", though!!

Don't worry, kimmar, one of these years New Jersey will move into the modern age and you'll be able to visit the mall on a Sunday. In the meantime, feel free to keep posting those lovely pictures!!

Hey, Laine! Can't imagine Luis having any questions about WDW--he's been living with you long enuff, I should think you'd told him everything by now! Our Sunday paper had an article a couple of weeks ago about the Disney parks and told about all the tours available. You could tell the reporter really liked that Keys to the Kingdom tour!!

Lovely.....I just overheard on the news that we are under a heat advisory right now and it's expected to get worse as the week progresses. High temps in the 90s, but with the humidity, it will feel like 105º or even more! Thank goodness we have air conditioning!!

Ooops, there's the dryer. Gotta go lay out those rugs and get on to bed. Ya'll have a lovely evening and a better day tomorrow!

Be careful out there. It's way too hot to spend too much time cutting the grass. Keep hydrated and don't push yourself too hard. The grass doesn't grow very fast when it's this hot anyway. It can wait for a cooler day.

Awww, John you are a sweetie! I love the heat though and rarely have any real trouble with it. I live for this kind of weather. But don't fear, I always keep hydrated and I know when to quit. I at least want to get our front and side yard done today. Fortunately we don't have a huge lot.

Oh and I blanked on talking about Luis... honestly he doesn't know that much. He just follows me around and does what I want to do. But my dad is thinking about doing the Segway tour... oh how I would love to do it again Anywho, Luis really is starting to want to know/learn for himself, so he's reading through the whole Passporter. Even been asking questions. Kind of cute really

My mechanical ability in the car repair has just been expanded! I am proud to report that I am now qualified to change a windshield wiper.

I will confess that there was one occassion where I finally got a pair of pliers, a screwdriver and ripped one apart to get it off.

I'm feeling much better now.

Abigail started occupational therapy today (no, she is not trying to get a job It's to help with grasping, dexterity, etc.) and will go once a week until school starts when it will become bi-weekly.

good morning gang!!

woohoo I'm actually typing with all my fingers! I took the band aid off and my finger feels pretty good!!! Looks kinda gross but feels good. I've got to toughen it up again!!

Beth...well the kids weren't all that good...I just ignored them and put them in front of the disney channel! bad mommy! but I needed a break!

I, like Elaine, was going to cut my grass but it is already 90 degrees outside and I can't wear shorts to cut the grass (1. I need to shave and 2. the mosquitos would eat me alive) so I have to wear jeans and it is too hot to do that today. I had some kids come by yesterday offering to cut the grass but I didn't have any money to give them. I might have to get them on the next round!!

I think I'm going to take Jar to the library today to pick out a new chapter book. We finished reading "Junie B. Jones Graduation Girl" (kindergarten) and so we need a new chapter book.

Don't know much else...so I'm gonna peruse the other boards and look for today's train wrecks and then I'll be on my way!!

Didn't make it to the library. It appears that Jarrod's listening ears have been turned off today or tuned to ignore and I wasn't about to take him out in public where I couldn't beat him if he got out of hand. So we are going to try again tomorrow!

Tara, don't blame you for not cutting the grass. It was just about 100° today in the shade... only the front and side got done I'll do the rest tomorrow. Just if you go to shave for tomrorow, be sure not to put the bug spray on until *after* the legs have had a chance to recover from shaving... that could be painful

I have lots mroe to do around the house still. Showering being one of them. Laundry should be done soon and the bed is almost remade. Food was set out for supper (thaw, yeah I'm bad, I thaw on the counter) so I think I am set for everything to get done

I think we are going to splurge and go out to dinner tonight. We haven't been out to dinner (other than mom's bday) in over a month. So i think it is about time! Not sure where we are going but it is going to be sit down without having to unwrap your food!!
