Morning all! No :sunny: here today :sad2:

Elaine: I'm so jealous! Can't wait to see the movie. Just got a text from my friend asking if I wanted to go up to see it with him this weekend. :bounce:

:wave2: Todd!

:cheer2: for Italy!

Gotta get to work.

Later Gators.............

Good morning, sistahs and bothers! Still the busy bee here--no work yesterday, but I got caught up on all the little errands that I'd been missing over the last few weeks. And I even made it over to DMV to get my address changed and my driver's license renewed!! Heh-heh, only took 6 months

OMG, kimmar!!! I was rooting for Italy anyway, but you've provided even MORE incentive!! You are soooo baaaaaad!! No wonder we love ya!!

 Todd!! Good to see you drop in again!

Laine, the new POtC must be a good movie--the Washington Post reviewer didn't like it. Seems he doesn't like any of the good movies and the stuff he DOES like, we can't stand!! We haven't decided when we're going, might be tonight, might be early tomorrow cuz I close tomorrow night.

Hiya Cindy! Pleased to meetcha! Yes, those boys are FINE specimens of the male species, aren't they?! You wouldn't be planning to spill any of that water on their tightie whities, now, would you??!!

Aww, Pam, so sorry to hear of Cocoa's passing. I know you will treasure her memory forever.

Suzanne, hope you'll be able to get some rest soon! I can certainly empathize with those long days. Hope all is going well with the store.

Kristy!!!!!    Soooooo good to hear from you again!! Gorgeous pic in your siggie--married life is definitely treating you well!! Best of luck with your IVF, but sorry you have to go thru that. Definitely keeping you in my prayers.

Oh geez--gotta dash! Need to leave in 10 minutes and I haven't even started my hair. Have a wonderful day, everybody!! Mad, mad love all around and :grouphug:

Sorry for the EOIP, but I've got a lot to get done today. No time to read. Little time to post.

Back from WDW. We had a wonderful time. In a nutshell we:
1. Rode Expedition Everest twice - very cool
2. Got to ride the new Pirates of the Caribbean - Captain Jack is awesome
3. Saw the Pirates Training show - the CM they have doing Jack is amazing
4. Witnessed the July 4th fireworks at Magic Kingdom on July 3rd
(It was nice of Disney to run them twice)
5. Had the perfect spot (Norway Stave Church) to watch July 4th fireworks at both MGM (in the distance) and at Epcot
6. Watched the shuttle launch from in front of the American Pavillion while the Fife and Drums played "Off we go into the wild, blue yonder".
7. Got into the hot seat one last time. Missed the 64,000 point question but got another polo shirt (and my 12th baseball cap)
8. Had a blast going down the waterslide at Old Key West about a dozen times
9. Our room was gorgeous. We stayed in a Grand Villa at OKW for 5 of our 6 nights (room 1522). On July 4th we had to relocate to 1520/21 for our last night. The rooms were close to three bus stops and the main pool.
10. Traded for not one, but THREE of the new DVC pins (including the hard to find Stitch pin)
11. Bumped into some former DISers at Epcot on July 4th and had a great time catching up with them while we waited for the fireworks to start
12. I managed to buy not one, but two tanks of E-85 (ethanol) flex fuel for our minivan. Take that OPEC.

The only negatives weren't all that negative. We did have to wait for 45 minutes for a bus to the MK on July 3rd. I was afraid that we might miss the fireworks. When we all piled on the kneeling bus, it could not get back up. We had to offload about a dozen people before the bus could lift back up off the curb. And by then there were a dozen more people who wanted to get on the bus. Yikes.

And there was the matter of the traffic jam at the Virginia / West Virginia border that caused us a two and a half hour delay on the drive home. It took that long to go the last 7 miles of I-77 in Virginia. Fortunately the weather wasn't too hot. We got home at 10PM last night. While we were gone, James came home from college and mowed the lawn, stripped the beds and washed all the sheets, remade the beds, and put chocolates on our pillows for when we got home. He's a keeper.

That's about it in a nutshell. I'll try to ketchup on this thread when I have a few minutes to spare. In the meantime, prayers to all who are in need and hugs for everyone. It's good to be home.

Good Morning all!!

Well - you are not going to believe this one ......I know I've been stressed about work lately - last night was particulary stressful for some reason. I don't know if it's the barrage of condescending e-mails or what - usually I can brush it off - maybe just a bad day. Anyhoo......this morning - I get up to do my 7am shift - I'm logging on and the computer just shuts itself off!!! I'm a little creeped out by that but think it's some fluke - start it back up again - get a "Thermal event" error message - try again - nope - it just keeps shutting off??? So I sent my computer into the office with Alyssa - I'm thinking an exorcism may be in order..... :badpc:

To all of you who have already seen or are seein Pirates this weekend - I am soooooo very jealous!! pirate: :thumbsup2 pirate:

:faint: Italian soccer....quite captivating.....

:laundy: :laundy: and off I go.......

Elaine - * Trust me* those Italians look a million times better in their tightie-whities than Skye the Stripper ever did!! :lmao:
I'm sure that is true. I am just one of those women who can't stand speedos or briefs (any color or type) on men. As Tara said you can see the muscles better on one side ;) but I'd rather just see the beginnings of the curves and then have something hang, iykwim :p

Tara, sorry about your bowling score, but so glad you had fun. I bet your mind was too clouded with Italian boys :teeth:

Suzanne :teeth: I meant calling AspiringCindy just plain Cindy. I'm lazy like that. I like giving people names that are easier to type ;)
Me thinks that one guy was stuffing as well :p

Rose Mary, I do hope you get to go see it with your friend. I really don't want to spoil it, but it is very different from PotC:BP. I hope everyone knows there is a part 3 to PotC coming out, and really... this reminds me a lot of how I felt about LOTR:TT. Very good, but you know there is more to come.

Bethie, I am so glad you had a very productive day on your day off! I know it is hard to get things done like that with such a busy work schedule. Do you have any good relaxing time off soon? Sounds like you could need it!

John, I hadn't realized you were at WDW over the 4th. Teach me to try to keep track of people (was wondering where you had been). Glad you had such a fabulous time! A Grand Villa though? That sounds awesome!! Do you have pictures of that to share with us?

Yuck Paula, sorry about your work computer. Maybe it is a sign that it is time to pack it in and get the heck out of there ;) Seriously, I keep hopign and praying that *something* good changes for you there.

I can't believe I am up, but I suppose I just cannot sleep in past 9am ever. Luis is still upstairs asleep and I figure he can stay there until about noon if he wants to. I didn't fall asleep until about 3:30, so I imagine Luis will be in bed until it is time for him to wake up and get ready to go golfing.
This is new for him, but he has a good friend who loves to golf and is so excited to help teach him some things :)

Well crap on a cracker, he has no glove... maybe I will have to get him up at about 11... grrr.... I was hoping he could sleep in totally. Oh well.

good morning gang,

please forgive the screaming in the background....Jar's meds haven't taken effect yet and he is screaming like a friggin banshee  He is claiming to be a monster....I think that is a good description of him! Thank goodness i need to go outside and cut the grass.

Glad POTC was good. I'll probably do like I did with the first one and see it in 3 or 4 years! (I just saw the first one about year ago!)

Man do I feel lazy with my ketchup....let's see...Elaine's hubby needs a glove so he can go smack his balls around with someone else's club, Suzanne got to see her own version of COPS last night but was lucky she didn't get stopped...she might have pulled out the hundred dollar words for the cop  , Beth is finally legal on her driver's lic....good thing she hasn't gotten lost recently they would have taken her to someone elses house, Shep is giving us all the business for being unlady like! , John got to see the 4th fireworks half a dozen times but then got kicked out of his room at OKW, Cindy should be changed to AspiringSweatWipingGirl for the Italian Soccer team, and RM's man is taking her to see Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom....he's knows what will happen when that happens :teeth:

okay, gotta go or we'll be shut down for me being too "creative" hehehehe

tara

Ahhhh.... Cindy, you will fit in quite well here!! :thumbsup2

Elaine - stuffing??!! :confused3 I think that Tiara and I should go and do a thorough inspection to see if your accusations are true or not. :lmao:

Glad you liked the movie, my DD has reserved tickets at Pittsburgh for tonight - with the comfy chairs/couch/whatever. DH is hoping it will be at the drive-in.

Welcome home, TC! Hmmmm... since James is pretty close to where I live, maybe I can hire him to be our valet! ;)

Paula - let me help you with your computer woes. :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: There that should take care of any lingering problems.

Beth - I hope you got your hair done and made it to work in time! :teeth:

I was supposed to hit the road with DH today to cover an event, but hopefully DD will be able to pick up her Bug from the dealer. So, my sweet hubby let me off the hook and I got to sleep in! :woohoo:

Shep - spill the beans on the interesting tightie-whitie story!! Oh, and btw, I missed ya, ya big lug! :duck:

Suzanne, Shep is not a real ::cop: He's more like a rent-a-version ::cop: (He has some awesome moves to his boom box music, too! )

What a suck up :teeth:
After everything you said about him in college, I don't trust that boy. He's slick :smooth: (Okay, he really does sound like a great kid :thumbsup2 )

BTW, did y'all know that John, Todd, and I were stand-ins for the Italian soccer team while they were setting up the lights, camera, etc?

It's cause you're so hot, right? :woohoo:

Yeah, her mind and ball were both in the gutter apparently. ::yes::

Well crap on a cracker, he has no glove... maybe I will have to get him up at about 11... grrr.... I was hoping he could sleep in totally. Oh well.

I have a friend stationed in Bahrain right now. Would you like him to see if one of his neighbors wants to sell his?

I understand he's strapped for cash right now.

Alan.....It's a toss up....either I really am that hot or......as I've suspected all along......I really am working in HE** !!!!!!!!!!!!

The best part is IT dept infomred me - "if it's not the fan then we will have to order you an new computer.......we don't have any extras......." Extended days off - now that would be nice......yeah I can see it now - they are taking apart some poor employees computer in the office as we speak - "sorry...um - we're gonna need this ......Paula has to work......

Woohoo on DD getting a Bug...fun car, if I do say so. :teeth:

:rotfl: That was a great ketchup there Tara!! It sure had me laughing.
Oh and if you are going to wait that long to see PotC2, then just wait until PotC3 comes out on DVD... trust me on that ;)

Pam, you go right on ahead with Tara and check it out for me. Make sure you do a thorough job too :p
I'll stop before I help us get shut down too ;)
I do hope your DD gets her Bug today though. If so, you'll have to take pics. I think VW Bugs are cute :)

Alan, Alan, Alan... you are so bad

Paula  That sounds like my old job... but the sad thing is we knew dang well there were computers to be had. I do hope you get your extended vacation though :teeth:
And that pic always makes me think of the line "I wouldn't exactly say I've been missing it (work), Bob"

Good point Suzanne... I think if Karen doesn't show up, we will know what *really* went on ;)

Good morning, everyone.

Ahh, I've had some sleep and will be able to function today. The coffee pot will be close at hand, though.

Cindy, welcome! In my sleep deprived state, I didn't say howdy do. You know, they can get *very* stinky and you may want nose plugs for the water girl duties! :teeth:

John, wow, awesome time at WDW! Aren't those grand villas awesome? Probably felt strange to be in the studios after the GV!

Paula, sounds like the computer is going to erupt! As long as they don't make you go into the office while they get you a new computer, it's good, right?

Kimmar, I almost think some people saw that picture and passed out!

Lainey, it wasn't until I got home that I realized that a lot of people went to a midnight showing. I think I'm going to see it on Wed. night. I'm taking a Girls Night Out, woohoo. Thanks for the heads up-I wasn't sure if it'd be a good idea from looking at the trailers.

Gotta hop in the shower. Day care said she'd be back home at 11:30 and I could bring the kids then.

Suzanne

John--Wanna raise my kids? :teeth:
Thats really cool of James! :thumbsup2

Pam--I was walking back from the pool on saturday(DW took my things to where we were picnicing) and I stumbled across some underwear on the way..(eww) and sure enough guess whose they were?? :scared1: MINE :rolleyes1
Needless to say they had been run over several times on the road(guess you could say they had skid marks---:scared1: )

Alan--you weren't supposed to tell.. :woohoo:

Suzanne--All I can say is handcuffs were involved... ::cop:

Elaine--Cassie to young? She was not fazed by any LOTR or any movies yet.
GLad you liked it

Paula, Beth, Rosemary

Larry, Curly, Moe...Nyuck, Nyuck, Nyuck

shep :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

glad my ketchup sufficed!!

Just back in from cutting the grass and weed whacking...but i can't finish the whacking until I get a new whosiewhatsit for the line...it seems that on a bump and go spool I tend to slam instead of bumping and I have to replace it about once a year (of course it is less when I choose not to weed whack!)

gotta get a shower and some lunch so ill be back later!
tara

You know, I've made all these posts, and I am not sure I totally welcomed Cindy here! So welcome!!! I hope you'll stop in again... seems like you would fit in great here!

Suzanne, I've never been to a midnight opening of a show. I've gone to a movie at midnight, but it was just in the summer on a weekend shortly after it opened. Wasn't my choice. This was fun though and it was PACKED! I would only do it again if I thought I would like the movie ;)
The more I think about it, the more I realize I had to have loved that movie. Some of the trailer bits they showed are not the ones they used in teh final cut. That amused me and made it for better laughs.
I really cannot wait for the third one now!!!!! It has me so psyched. Though I bet like LOTR, I'll cry at the end knowing that was all there is.

LOL, Todd, I bet you do great with your kids. Though John seems to have done a great job with his as well.
As for Cassie... I would imagine that if she can handle LOTR movies then she should be okay with this. It really was on the same level of darkness and violence as those. But comparing it with PotC:TCotBP, well the first really looks tame.

I'm off to run errands and find lunch :)

Hmmmmm.... where is Karen??? :rolleyes2
I hope the poor kid gets the car today - it's been 2 weeks since we've tried to buy it. The dealer is putting a water pump on it today and hopefully she'll get it by the day's end.

Shep!! :rotfl2: Did the undies have your name written in ink on the tag, too??? :rotfl2:

Tara - I understood perfectly what you were talking about regarding the whosiewhatsit for the line...and the bump and go spool and the slam instead of bumping ...... (To the rest of the Ya Yas: :confused3 What the frug is she talking about???!!!???)

Elaine - I went to the 11:00 pm showing of the Pokemon movie when DS was in 5th grade. I was the cool Mom for taking him and his friend and actually sitting through the darn thing! :teeth:

Eeeeek!!! I remember doing the same thing for DD Sarah and her friends. Only I was the coolest because I didn't sit with them but rather let them sit on their own (where I could keep an eye on them). The Pokemon movie wasn't so bad, but the short movie they showed first was unbearable. My brain has all but wiped out all memory of that part of the experience.

Sarah and I are going to see Pirates of the Caribbean sometime this afternoon. I'm still a cool dad. pirate:

As far as all those chores that James did on his own, I hope that he is not doing them out of guilt for something that he has or has not been doing in college. Yikes. :woohoo:

:rotfl: The boys always let me sit with them - because I had the good movie treats! All I remember is struggling to stay awake - and not understanding *anything* about the movie and the characters!

My daughter and I went to see The Devil Wears Prada yesterday. I paid, so I am still cool, too! ;)

You need to find the website for YSU's newspaper - they should have a Police Blotter on there. My daughter is a junior at Pitt - so far her name hasn't turned up on the Blotter! :thumbsup2 :woohoo: But - she turns 21 in Sept......

Update on my work computer....

They had to order a new motherboard (in their words - "I hope that fixes it") - how encouraging. IT guy leaves at 4pm so I hope (not) that he gets the part (not) to install (not) - otherwise I won't be able to work on Sunday :cool1:

Alyssa is going to a variety show at the summer camp that 2 of her friends work at tonite then hoping to go to a late showing of pirate: after BF gets out of work....did I mention I was jealous?????? Hubby is going to an open house at a new business that opened in town - some type of food processing place - they invited the Planning Board - he is a member. Chris I'm sure wil be out and about because at 17 I think if he spends too much time with his family he'll turn to stone or something...... What a mom to do????? I guess I'll do my cooking for my neices graduation party tomorrow.

I'm a little concerned about you Tara - first it's stripping and stitching now it's bumping and whacking??? What's next?? :rainbow:
Pam - fingers crossed that your DD car is ready today. :)
John - best to just be thankful for chores done - don't overthink the motive.... :thumbsup2
Todd - :lmao:
Suzanne - thankfully I would not have to go in the office only because I work "off-hours" - I would however have to find someone to work my shift.
Elaine - I hoipe you didn't lose your lunch and that's why you have to find it!! :)
and Cindy....

More later......

Pam, whatcha think of the movie? I am interested in seeing that one sometime. I doubt Luis would go, so I might go Monday before I get my hair cut with the new lady

You two are cool parents though... I never did see that movie in the theater, but when I watched it on TV (as an adult) I thought it was kind of cute. My parents were never quite that cool to take us to fun things like that ;)

LOL, Paula, lunch was found... in a store... I guess stuff for lunch in my house wasn't meant to be found.
Ordering a new motherboard in hope they fix it? Sounds like a winner of a IT group there ;) I just hope that they won't get it done in time for you on Sunday :teeth:

Luis is still out golfing... fun.....
