I volunteered to help out my choir director with the library stuff. So for a couple of hours a week, I can go in and do that for him. The person who did it before, is shifting to doing other things fo the church. So I stepped in and said I could do it. So far it's pretty easy

Going to work on some fun stuff now around the house. Feels like a weird week here with Monday and Tuesday more or less off because my brother was here.

Tiara - I only did 1 quicky drive-by posting yesterday and that's only because I couldn't help myself!!

Very sad Ya Ya here......

Our 13 year old lab, Cocoa died late Sunday/early Monday. I don't talk as much about here as I do the beagle. (Well... the beagle is my baby ) Cocoa was my DH's best buddy. Her hips were giving out on her and she had heart problems. There was nothing the vet could do for her.... they put her on predisone to make her comfortable.

She took a turn for the worse about 7:00 pm Sunday night -- (why is it that always happens on a weekend? ) I realized that she wasn't going to make it - DH didn't want to accept that fact. I won't get into the graphic details -- it was just a very sad, sad night here. All 4 of us sat with her, taking turns holding her, touching her, telling her how much we loved her.

Last night we went to see the fireworks - it quit raining long enough.

Now I am back to the old grindstone. Sigh.....

Awww Pam I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like your pup was very loved... just sorry you had to go through all that!

Howdy Kristy!!! How are things with you! I know our paths cross elsewhere (been too busy to catch up with that group this week) but I always love seeing you here!

I think they always mention us because they are jealous of how long running we are! THough the Swan & Dolphins have us beat... guess we are just that much more lovable than the rest

Already ate supper, but still a bit hungry... not sure what I am going to do about that one

Elaine, we saw Nacho Libre & Click. Both very funny and very good. Superman Returns was also really good.

Thanks for the hug Tara! Told my Sis about the trash bag story. She went thru some similar stuff w/her two. Oldest niece would tie younger sis to the dresser or whatever so she would stay out of her things. Little one would never say a word. Then there was the time she wrote all over the little ones face w/marker then tried to get it off w/409 and a paper towel so she wouldn't get in trouble. Oh and another good one was when the oldest tried to roast marshmallows over the bedroom lamp lightbulb. Guess she was trying to make s'mores or something Hang in there, I'm sure there is more excitement in store for you! Oh and great job on the remodeling thing, Tara the Tool Woman!
Yep Elaine, the laughs were exactly what I needed.
Car cost me lots but, what the hey! Stealing Tara's line: I owe, I owe it's off to work I go in the a.m. Guess I'll have to start doing some OT to save for a WDW trip so I can ketch up with youse guys!

Beth is still the scrapping queen and working some big time hours. How do you keep up woman?
Suzanne is on the never ending remodeling, rearranging, thing and trying to outdo Bethie with the work hours. Geesh! But, at least it sounds like you are enjoying it which is great.
Kimmar: what a sweet poochie you have. loved the JD/POTC show thingie. My kid is gonna get a kick out of it. As for the pic, I was going for the Arnold "I'll be back" I'm clueless when it comes to posting pics. Just ask Baby YaYa E, the techno/puter whiz kid!

Pam...i'm so sory to hear about your dog... :hugs: that is so sad at least you all were there with him. How'd your ds do on the drive in the ragtop a couple of weeks ago? Did you give yourself gray hair worrying about him?

Karen...good luck with the moving and finding a house! The housing market around here has stalled....you can't get rid of house these days.

Elaine...glad you smell good for helping out your friend....its awful to have someone help you and then send them away because they are killing you with the smell!!

funny story...one of the older women I bowl with on Wed morning and Monday nights (fall) seems to have trouble realizing that she may not need to wear clothes that make her sweat so much....OMG on Monday nights this woman smells like one of my 8th grade boys after gym!! And this woman is 84 years old...i'm sure they had deodorant around long before 2006!!

kimmar....any new good pics to give us. Oh and I will be teaching 6th grade English and Science this year!! woohoo What classes do you teach? I'm thinking, if I remember correctly it is 7th grade that you teach and that it might be math, so correct me if I'm wrong!! thanks!

Sherry...I'm jealous that you get to see movies!! One of these days I'm going to go see another movie (its been two years since my last movie!)

I forgot to tell you all that yesterday afternoon E fell off the couch and gave himself one heck of a shiner. I have pics but I haven't downloaded them yet.

I never did remember what I was supposed to do this aftenroon so we went to Busch Gardens. i read that the car ride (you know the ones where the kids drive and the parents go along for the ride) was closing as of today. Ethan hasn't really ridden it and I wanted him to get on it one last time before it is gone (i'm that they are going to take out a non childish ride for kids and putting in another thrill ride ) The only problem was they were predicting t-storms with flash flood warnings...well we all know they are never right about that stuff so we went anyway. Traffic was a 2 hour drive and then just as we got there the thunder started. We made our way to a place for dinner and then sat there for just over 2 hours waiting for the rain to stop. The storm was full of thunder and lightening so all the rides were shut down. We finally left and were soaked by the time we got to the car....never did get to ride it

Anyway, I think that is all for now. I'm going to check a few more things and then hit the hay!! havea great evening all!!

Paula, new desk-aaak! Always seems to take a bit to adjust to one. Ed went back to target today and they had them-but you can't purchase and pick up later. He'll be driving to work with the Jeep in the am and grabbing it after work.

Tara, sorry Ethan didn't get to ride that car ride You'll just have to take him to Disney and let him drive one of the cars at the speedway.
