Just for the record, I would have been out there clearing that drain had I been home, but the commute home that day was nearly impossible. I had to drive through axle deep water once and got turned around a couple of times (once within sight of my house) in order to get home. By the time I arrived, the floods had passed.

Sherry - You could have brought the boys over for a white-water rafting adventure had you only known.

Tara - Glad that you intervened before the plastic bag thing went too far. Jarrod sounds like the adventurous (daredevil) type. You certainly have your hands full.

Afternoon Ya Ya's!!

Wow, John. Awesome pics. Don't blame Sue for stopping all the fun.

Lily, we didn't have any flooding near me, thank goodness. The boys have been playing lots of video games and computer games, thanks to the rain. I threw them outside for awhile today, though. Too much arguing. Figured they could use some outside time before it rains again. :teeth:

Beth, the boys aren't totally bored yet. :teeth:

Elaine, how was The Break Up? I want to see that one. I love Vince Vaughn!

Tara, sorry to hear about the scary J&E story.

No worries, John. I did not even consider that you were making your poor wife do all that work while you were :happytv:

My girls are attending VBS at another church this week. Abigail missed yesterday due to a fever the night before but is much improved.

Mrs. AA and a friend are taking all the kids to the YMCA for swimming this afternoon.

However, this morning both moms visited a new Christian private school that is opening in town. On paper it looks great and we are thinking of moving our kids from their current school to it.

Howdy Lily! How was your day at work? Feeling any better once you stepped foot in today?
A LOT! :teeth: Kinda skeerd though in a wierd way, but more at peace with things too.

:sunny:

Yay for the guys getting outdoors a bit. I'm sure they were more than ready too!

Elaine, Yay for good doc reports!

Alan, good luck deciding on the new school opportunity. I'm sure the kids are having a fun time at the Y. I took my guys to our Y for swim lessons. Oh those were the days!

Late lunch so off I go now...la la la

Blah blah blah... I think Alan has ya pegged there John ;) Seriously though, that was an awful time to be driving home. Fortunately where we live, we're on top of a hill so to speak, so flooding never seems to occur much in our area.

Okay this post has been up and I've been rying to reply for a LONG time!!!

Sherry, the movie was pretty good. I was in a pouty mood, but it was a good comedy. I won't give away the ending, but a lot didn't seem to care for it. To me it was more realistic in how it finished and I like that. Good thinker movie in a way... definitely worth bringing your husbands along to ;)

Good luck with the school stuff Alan! Keep us posted on how it goes :)

Lily, I can understand the skeery feeling. I had that too and now and then I still wonder if it all was right. My friends tell me though, that was the best thing I could've done. So I go with it and believe them on it. Life is so much more peaceful and relaxing for me now.

I'm starving so I am off!

Poppin' IN for a quick look-see....besides, I think I'd better PACE myself on posting pix.....

good evening gang,

another soggy day here! I heard on the radio that Noah had started building his ark near the beach! We actually have an area that is under 3 feet of water. it seems that in Back Bay the 6 to 8 inches of rain we got would have been fine but the wind was pushing the rising tide out of the bay and into the fields. They said that normally the wind blows the other way and the water recedes but today it was coming in. Lots of damage out in PUngo. Thank goodnesss its only stop light is safe!! :lmao:

I had a class this morning that was supposed to go from 9 to 12, but this girl was subbing for the other person and she was a firm believer in get in and get it done. So we were done by 1015 :cheer2:

Ketchup...

Elaine.,...did you find any lunch?? Glad you are going to live for at least another year. We had Taco Hell for lunch. yumm!!

Sherry...I wanted to throw my kids outside today but I was afraid they would drown....decided i didn't want to drown them today...I'll wait until tomorrow.

John...that was a lot of water  What a wife you have there!! Go DWSue!!!

Alan...glad there is *something* you won't touch!! :rotfl:

Kimmar....why you got quit with the pictures...I like your pics and as long as I'm at home I get to see your pics.

Lily...glad you are feeling more comfortable with your job!! woohoo!!!

Beth...I think the impulsivity is part of his problem...he does stuff and doesn't stop to think about what he is doing...but is it the ADHD? Is it that he is young child? Is it that he is male? Or maybe it is all of the above. Today was better...but then again i stayed close by!!

Tomorrow is my Wednesday, Old People bowling so I'll be gone for the morning. I'll check back in tomorrow afternoon before we go to counseling!!

hugs to all!!

Nah, one can never post too many Orlando pics ;)

Tara, sorry about the yucky weather. I hope the rain stops soon! Oh I had popcorn for lunch, but went to Chick Fil A for supper. I think since Toxic Hell has been mentioned by Luis and you (and I thought about it after I left the doc) I will go tomorrow for lunch. It actually sounds really good to me right now

Luis called and sounds tired :( I think I am now just going to curl up in bed with a book and my two cats. I hope y'all have a great evening :)

Yummy......I love Taco Bell. :teeth:

Elaine, enjoy your book and your kitties. :)

No, Kimmar, don't stop posting pics.

Tara, no rain here today. Its a miracle. Hope your rain stops soon.

Good morning everyone! I started a load of laundry late last night, and I got the other one started this morning. I have little pick up stuff to do today and then hopefully the day willf ly before Luis gets home.

Now I *really* need to eat TB today. The more it gets mentioned, the more I want it!

My dad and I were hoping to go to the zoo to see the new Asia exhibit, but with this stupid weather, we are not sure if we'll be able to go or not. I love summer showers :p

Morning Ya Yas!

What! Kimmar pic rationing! No Way! Come on give! :teeth:

Tara, I can't speak for ADHD, but I'd go with the rest for sure based on the fun we had with our 2 DSs. Never a dull moment or one to take your eyes away. Have fun old people bowling. They love that young blood.

Sherry, enjoy the sunshine. :sunny:

I love the "code names" of the fast food restaurants everyone offers. Suzanne, if your store becomes famous, will it hava a "code name?"

Off I go, --OH Wait! This one's for Beth, in my monotone (sorry)...Hi Ho! Hi Ho! It's off to work I go...

Good morning y'all. :wave2:

Lainey, I often find that cats and books do not work out very well, but I hope it did for you.

We had a quiet evening at home. Stephanie (Rebecca's neice) was with us, so we played a round or two of Scattegories.

Can we party or what? :teeth:

HI all...

Well - I miss one day and so much going on - all this bunnie talk.....

No sign of the woodchucks since Saturday - hubby grumbling and replanting....I've a feeling they are watching! :rotfl:

Chris is surely a "working man" - not sure if he knew that with surveying you work till you are done.....he got back to the office Monday at 10pm - Jeffrey stayed till 8pm waiting - they actually let Chris drive a company truck home!!

Tara....that garbage incident must have been so scarey.....I am just imagining Jarrod using Chris' classic line "I didn't know I wasn't supposed to do that"....not knowing whether he "gets it" or not is the worst.

Alan- you guys know how to live!! How did the tour of the new school go??

John - I hope the waters have subsided...

Hi Elaine - have you started the countdown to Luis return yet? I'll pass on the TB!!

Well - it's raining again and I'm off to clean the house so to all or you : Sherry, Kimmar, Beth,Pam, Nancy..... and :grouphug:

LOL, Lily, never thought of it as code names... just pure laziness on my part :teeth: Kind of like OKW and BCV ;) I think it out fully when I type it, I just am too lazy to type exactly as I think...

now that I've confused y'all ;)

I have very happy news. My brother will be in town this weekend for a visit :teeth: I was just thinking how much I missed seeing him and I got an e-mail from my dad with his flight schedule.

Alan, compared to me you really partied it up! I wound up watching mindless TV most of the night with the kitties. Just wasn't in the mood to read.

Paula, we have a funny commercial for True Value Hardware (I think it is... maybe Ace... anywho) where there is a guy who goes out to see his garden torn up by a squirrel. The squirrel is there munching away and as soon as he realizes the guy is watching, he pegs him in hte forehead with the food. It's just too dang cute. Some how your story reminds me of that... just watching and waiting ;)
I would have a countdown for Luis, but I am not sure what time he will return today. However, I think I am going to head out for lunch soon. Want to beat the lunch rush :)

LOL, Kimmar! And if I only looked that good I would be happy.

Getting the dreaded server busy messages again  I am straightening up for Luis though. Not that he needs it, but after moping enough, I really ought to get that done ;)

Oh and for anyone who IMs me, I seem to be having a weird delay on some messages. Not getting some until after I restart. So... if I seemingly ignored you, it wasn't intentional :rolleyes1

Oh and found out that Luis will be home later tonight, so I think the countdown is about 3.5 hours to go :)

Having a lazy day today. Just don't feel like doing much of anything. :rolleyes1

Love the pics, Kimmar. :lmao:

Hi all

Back from my long trip to Florida. Had a great time :) Spent a week in WDW. First trip in a long time that we were able to see everything. Rode a lot of rides several times. Ate a few Dole Whips( can never get enough). We stayed at Pop and loved it. Rooms are a little small but, we did not spend much time in them.
Traveled the state as well. Went to Jacksonville to see my brother. St. Augustine(wish we had more time there). And Kennedy space center. Went to the beach several times :sunny: Love watching the paragliders(SP?). It was all very relaxing and the weather was great.
Now that I am home I seem to have caught a cold or something. Just glad I am sick now and not while on vacation.

Will try and catch up on everything but I guess that will take a while. Just glad to be back :)
