That's it for my ketchup!!

Once we could use the computers again I ended up wiating for the people from downtown to move some software from one of my reading computers to my desk top computer and then installing the student reading portions on the old teacher management computer. It was fun to watch the computers come to life all on their own and suddenly start clicking on thigns!! Really gives the kids a good start when they think the thing is possessed!!

Now big brother is off of my computer so I can surf!!

I talked to mom a bit ago and she said she was making hamburgers for dinner, so since I have to go bowling tonight I asked her if she wantd to go have a cheesburger in paradise for dinner. so we are going to meet for dinner tonight and then I'll go bowling with my playboy freak. :rolleye:

Gotta go check out some other threads that I have posted on and see if anything good is out there.

My nephew drove me nuts today. Now that he's learned to walk, he could care less about sleeping. In the 9 hrs. that he was here, he slept only 1 1/2 hours.

Tomorrow my inlaws are coming over, along with a family friend, to watch the game. Everyone is bringing snacks. Should be a fun night.......esp. if we win.

Evening all!

Home from bowling! Was a nice evening. We only won one game but that's okay. I hit my average 2 out of the 3 games and enough so that I made my average for the night! Taht's all that matters to me.

Did you all see my moron thread? Its another wonderful tara story!! Pam found it I don't have the link otherwise i would put it...i'm too lazy to go look for it!!

I don't know if we are testing tomorrow or not, so I may or may not be on the computer tomorrow morning...so know that I'm sending good vibes and all that crap ya'lls way!

Nothing big going on today. I still have a headache, so hopefully that will go away soon. Little things to do around the house, but nothing big. If it stops raining I will consider going out somewhere today. Luis is off to Cleveland for the day and then has practice for a HS performance he is playing drums for... I suppose I'll see him a wee bit today.

Morning, all. Sorta/kinda day off. I was scheduled out of store, so that means I'm headed to my store later and I'll probably put in some of the drop ceiling after the electrical inspection is done.

Ed started yesterday and spend the day at the new store doing odds and ends. Looks like that will be the beginning of next week for him, too.

Lesson for the morning: Don't put the headphones on your ears when you turn on the iPod if your husband was listening to it last! OWWWWWW! I keep it fairly low, he likes to blast it!

Nancy, that sucks that the guy put two windows in the garage and now you're waiting because of his mistake.

Kimmar, I'll take one of those Entenmann's. Actually, I'd like a banana crunch loaf, which they don't seem to carry outside the NY metro area!

Lainey, I really shouldn't ignore any right now-my number is on my temporary business cards. Just didn't feel like answering. Saw the 404 area code and knew it wasn't local, then remembered that Haverty's is based out of Atlanta. It's all good-they're coming back next week.

You know, you could make a siggy banner "cabana boy-free to a good home" with a picture. Oh wait, skip the picture, you don't wanna scare the rest of the DIS! (is it just me, or does it look like someone's throwing a strawberry at him?)

Paula, I assume with Alyssa home, your car will spend more time in front of her friend's houses instead of your driveway. URI-how close is that for you? Sounds like she and Ryan are Kaput-haven't heard about him in 24 hours, at 19 that means they're history.

Sherry, with four of your own, I'm sure you know life is over when they start walking!

Morning all.....

Suzanne to answer your questions URI is about 45 minutes away. As far as the romance goes - Alyssa told me yesterday that they intend to get together soon to talk. She is afraid that the distance is just working against them. She is not sure if he just likes the idea of having a girlfriend near him or if it's really her that he wants. She said that the only way that it can work out is if they are mutually supportive.
Kinda makes me laugh because she is just so serious and mature about it and here I am with tears in my eyes - the hopeless romantic just wanting ther to be a happily-ever-after!! haha

Update - my mother in law is home - the doctors thought that seh was well enough to recuperate at home - she will ahve a physical therapist come in daily. We went to see her last night - I know that due to all the pain she had not been eating - she actually looked better than I expected which was nice.

Let me see what else is going on.....
Alyssa chickened out on getting her hair cut....
Rain again today and of course I have to grocery shop.....
Had 3 girls over last night to watch the season finale of O.C. - there were tears - not sue how long they stayed -when I went to bed they were having root-beer floats and watching "Hoodwinked".

*** Did anyone watch the finale of Will and Grace?? I kept flippling channels from O.C. but of course missed the ending....

Thank you!!! hehehe Man did I feel like an idiot after that!! Tho it did give my mom a good laugh. She has fallen into a funk and at dinner she was telling me about making potatoe salad yesterday and some mistakes she made and how she just wanted to sit down and cry about it. So I told her about the books and that made her feel a bit better!! At least it gave her a laugh!

I don't know about book smart...book sore maybe..but smart..uh not so much!

Suzanne, sorry about the iPod thing. Luis and I have the same issues with any headphones. That boy just listens to things way too loud!!!!
I totally didn't even think about home number being on business cards. Yuck, that would make it hard for me to avoid. Though at home I am notorious for ignoring unknown numbers

Gack, I hope they know of the game Sherry! Actually I am not sure where they are going exactly. Luis says a major city and sometimes they are really not that close to it. He said he'd be home on time (at least) so I hope he won't get caught in traffic. Otherwise I wont' see him much at all today

Paula, did Alyssa cut her hair at all, or just chicken out on the short cut? As for the b/f, I would say they are over too, but with the way she is, I imagine she will work it out like an adult. I'm a romantic too, but I also would rather hear of people ending it before it just drags on. The thing I dont' get with him though, haven't they always had some distance between themselves?
Glad to hear that your MIL is doing well enough to go home!

It's the cell that's on the cards. I have a gazillion rollover minutes anyway! If I go over my minutes (not that THAT is going to happen), they'll reimburse me. Apparently, Verizon screwed up royally with the phones for the first store that we didn't want to print any business cards until we were 100% sure that the numbers were right at my location.

I had to hand out cards at the event I was at last week, so out went my cell number.

I really need to go over to the store now, lol. I just know my boss isn't going to be there, no matter what time I arrive, so I haven't rushed to get ready, ya know?

That said, I've discovered that I:
am most like a meatball pizza
am only 50% Irish (tell that to my parents! I guess I don't like boiled food enough)
am a Mai Tai
am a popcorn jelly belly
am Austin, Texas
am an excellent cook
the eagle is my power animal
and I speak 55% standard american, 25% yankee, 15% southern and the rest I don't remember.
