Morning!!

Rain here. Blech! Supposed to rain for the next 10 days!! :rolleyes1

Elaine, congrats on the new family member. :) Sorry about the family problems. :( That has to be hard. :(

Lily, good luck with the procedure. Yesterday was a calamity day for the boys, that is why they were off. :teeth: School here ends June 6. :bounce:

Tara, love the Ethan story. Too cute. :)

Nancy, yay on the booked air. Might have to stop at McD's and check out the BaB stuff. :teeth:

Good morning.

Weird. A page and a half of stuff didn't show up when I checked in just after midnight last night.

Lily, he's turning in notice to the PO. Unlike up north, he doesn't get 5-6 days a week. We pay daycare the same whether the kids are there one day or five. Come August, we won't have that expense.

Bethie, you know, if he came in with you to do them, he'd realize he really like them. :teeth: Ed's had a blast helping me with the competitors and then doing my sessions at work!

Tara, bummer that you didn't get that on video, but it sounds cute regardless! What a cutie. I'm back in those 14s, but not forever.

Lainey, I've had dinners like that, I think we all have. You CAN use it as leverage to go out next time! ;)

Flights are the Cali trip that we had to cancel last year. We'll be going in September now, woohoo!

Bethie, that's so nice that your working for the store mgr. Except for my last year at Dulles, I always seemed to get Mothers AND Fathers day duty. I got smart-I planned vacation for mothers day and my transfer was effective on Father's day! Now I always have Sundays off-not a problem!

I have the event today. I'm going to get my hairs cut in a few. Gotta track down our packet for the event, since the mailman hasn't delivered it to the store.

Suzanne

Bethie,

Now that my stuff won't have to be Disney (but the papers are!), I'll probably bug you for info on Die Cutters.

Suzanne

Good morning.

Elaine, I hope Luis' parents come around :( It has to be hard on both of you.

The BaB at McD's in on BaB's website. Looks like little guys. I hate McD's, but might have to go to get the "kids", kids of their own :rotfl:

That is neat that Ed will be working with you. I take it he likes to cook.
No way in the world would I ever get Dave to go into one of those. He hates all things kitchen except eating the results ;)
And I have never had a cooking disaster  ;)

 Beth, Tara and everyone else.

Dave comes home tomorrow late and leaves early Sunday  This has been a tough spring for travel.
We do get to go see a Cirque production on Sat :hyper:

We went and danced at a wedding after his (I wouldn't recommend this).

Why? Is Ted that bad of a dancer?
Thanks for the Select Comfort info :)

No advice on the bedroom thing...I'm still looking for someone to fill the otherside!! (not permanently mind you!! :teeth: )

Don't make me smack you. There are no shortage of men willing to fill the other side temporarily, but you better not be contacting any of them.

Speaking of which..does anyone else watch these Dateline "To Catch A Predator" episodes? Since Heist got cancelled, I've seen them for the past 2 or 3 weeks.

Congrats on the new family member--I definitley like James Ryan a lot better than Elroy!!

But you would have preferred James Tiberius, wouldn't you? ;)
It's nice of you to let the other folks off this weekend - good luck with the store. You can do it :thumbsup2

Lainey, sorry you had a whiney husband and only salvageable supper, but hope today is a good day for you.

Nancy,

Ed's as much of a Food TV junkie as I am. I'm glad he is, he's picked up quite a bit. My last disaster was years ago, but I used it a few times (with the first hubby, that long ago) to get dinner out. It was a recipe typo-1/4 cup of basil instead of a 1/4 teaspoon. Taught me not to make a recipe the day it shows up in the paper! It had sounded good-orange basil pork chops.

Yes, he likes to cook. I learned from the first-get one who has lived out on his own and knows how to fend for himself! :teeth: However, he'll be on the Prep team and will do all the slicing, dicing and whatever else to make my side of the ops go well. Boss even said he'll probably be helping the butchers out, too. We're in good company-there's already 4 married couples working there, lol!

I've seen it a couple of times. This is the reason I gave up blogging as a 14 year old!! The guys were too creepy! :teeth:

Ohohoh...is that Captain Kirk????

Thought for the day...why do the kids choose the day I've forgotten to take my happy pills to be jerks?? Oh why Oh??

I don't know what those tools are Beth, i'm still looking for cheap Quick Kutz.

Trying to inventory my personal book collection in the classroom. Not for any good reason, mainly to keep from being bored out of my mind!!

back later,
tara

Wow, that is weird! Some of what I see now wasn't posted this morning when I first looked in here. I know for sure Tara's post wasn't there this morning, but I had seen the rest right as I had to log off to go to sleep.

So... Tara, cute story about E! I bet that was adorable to catch even if not as excited looking as the first time :)

Good luck with work, Bethie! That sure sounds like a lot to go through. I hope there are enough people at work to help with that.

Woo hoo for school getting close to being done, Sherry! We have that much rain on the forecast for us too  I will admit our grass does need it though.

Suzanne, I know we all have meals like that. The meat part was okay though so I had to just make fake potatos to go with. I forgot to check on them earlier. So it was still okay. If the meat hadn't been cooking, I wouldn't have bothered to finish it. Have fun getting your hair cut and with the event :)

Nancy, I do like McD's chicken nuggest so I'll eat them all for your kids ;)
And we both hope his parents turn around. They make absolutely zero effort with us. They intentionally ignored my birthday (so Luis said) and they never once called our house on their own. Well they have, only to fuss at Luis for something he did "wrong". So we hope they open up to us more sometime.

Alan is about to smack Tara? Wow! I'm shocked... but sweetie, don't hurt yourself when you go to smack her... I know you're not all that strong and all ;)

However Tara being good strikes me as even more funny htan Alan trying to smack her :p

I did get my hair cut today. I went online and just decided to see when he was available. Got a 10 am appt and went. I much prefer mornings with him since they are less rushed it seems.

At least Tara thinks I am funny :teeth: I hope Alan feels the same :p

I got my new Passporter today. It looks so cool with all the color pics in it now! I think this has become my favorite guide book.

Hey I just realized there are some MIA Ya Yas. Not necessarily been gone that long, but if you are lurking POST! I know the boards really suck though

maybe it will get better some day ;)

The boards do suck ::yes:: Very slowly too

Suzanne, that is great that Ed will be working like that....and all the married couples.
Don't think I would want to spend that much time with Dave ;) I have already heard his jokes too many times :rotfl:
He does watch the food network all the time with me and enjoys it, but it doesn't make him want to cook, just eat more :rotfl: Of course, his fav is Alton Brown. They are kindred spirits.

Guess what......11 miles away a Target is going in :bounce: I forgot to mention it before. The building is almost up.
But....today at the same place, there is now also a sign that a Costco is going in :bounce: That is soooo good!! (bad for the wallet, but good for me). I love it!!
The closest of both of those now is about 35 miles.

Anyway....:hyper:
Got carpet samples for the family room today....what to do, what to do??
Kimmie....you out there?? How is the carpet picking going for you?
The owner of the carpet place just got back from WDW....so we had a good talk.
He loved it!! Even though he has an injured foot and had to travel in a wheel chair, which he did not like.

Good on the hair cut Elaine.
I go next week for color and cut :)

Pssstttt...... I'm here --- over in the corner...... :3dglasses

I'm just sitting here..... :surfweb: and :listen: and even a little :smokin:

Kimmie....you out there??
Wuhl... yabut... the pages load reeeallly slooooowww and by the time they finally do, I've forgotten what I was going to say.

Carpet. Sigh. We picked it out. We have a price. But... my 16 year old kitty has decided to kick her daily morning "let's barf on mom's stuff" festival up a notch. Sooo... I'm sitting here with my estimate wondering what to do now. Took her in to the vet, he said her kidneys are failing to the point of no return, to watch her closely and let her go the minute she seems uncomfortable. So far she seems happy with the puke and run routine she has going.

I'm tooo behind to catch uhhhhp... whine whine . :(

What's this about Tara's thoughts?

King Tempurpedic here Alan. Love it. Dog says it rocks too. Course she also eats cat poop and flies, so...... :confused3

Beth and Lily... best wishes and speedy recovery prayers headed out to both of you.

Did I see Paula back there somewhere? Hi Paula!!!

I'll try to be a better YaYa.

Hi all.

I know I've been absent from here for so long. My life is just so insanely crazy, and I had a bit of a rough stretch for a couple of weeks.

Anyways, I'm heading down to Disney World today, and will be back next Friday. I'll be travelling with my laptop, so maybe I'll pop in mid week.

Talk to you later.

JellyrollsKaren

Good morning.

Sorry about kitty, Kimmie :( Went through that a couple years ago. Not fun.
So....what carpet did you pick?
I have one carpet I like and one color I like...... Which to go with??
Dave will be home tonight, but I don't think he will be much help.

Have fun, Karen.

 Lily.

Pam, don't lurk, come talk. We need people on here. ::yes::

HEY! I swear I made an evening post!!!!! Grrrrrr....

Woo hoo on the stoes coming near you!!! I know the feeling. I will finally have a Walmart that I am willing to drive to in order to just go to a Walmart (if that makes sense). The current one is near a mall I sometimes go to and i never go there unless I plan to go to the mall as well.

Dang it Pam, I was wondering if you were smoking anything good to share :rotfl:
(j/k y'all)

Lily, what was Posiedon Adventure about? Don't think I've heard of that one before.

Aww Kimmie  Sorry about your furbaby. I don't think I would put new carpet in though, until well... you know :( We actually waited to take out carpet once until we no longer had a certain cat.

Crap, I forgot about Tara's thought and adding my own rediculous one!

Why do cats always find it absolutely necessary to jump on you and get you in a different position right after you got totally comfortable?

Karen, have a wonderful trip!

Rainy and blah today... another week of this though  I think I will be going to Target later. I'm sick of how the drip pans on the stove looks. Otherwise I might just remain blah like the weather ;)
