Good morning, everyone! Finally got some time to myself so I can post whilst the laundry is going.

Boo-hiss on all the germies floating 'round your house, Sherry! Hope everyone is feeling much better now. Bet the Cav's victory last night helped to put things right in your world, too!! Meant to say, congrats on Junior getting a work car--that must ease your day tremendously!

A belated Happy Anniversary to Lily and Ted!! Way to go, guys!! And you'll be visiting WDW in October, too, huh? We arrive the 29th, so we probably won't get a chance to "play" together, since that's the day you leave  Glad you didn't have to work last night, Lily, and got to watch your show. on the work situation--I can soooo relate.

Suzanne, I am soooo glad you finally got some glue that worked on Ed's eyeballs! He definitely looks MUCH better with them IN his head :lmao: So relieved to hear the crisis was averted with Neil's spider bite! I've heard and seen too many horror stories on the news to even think about a kid with a spider bite--and to be prone to cellulitis makes it even scarier. Sounds like the new job is agreeing with you, too. Love the concept and found out there is a similar place nearby. Am thinking about trying it out right before my surgery so neither of us has to worry about cooking while I recouperate.

Nancy, it sounds like the timing on the carpet and windows was just a little off, eh? Enjoy your trip and visit with the kids and try not to think about what you'll be coming home to. Sorry the kitties left you some of their "buried treasure" under the stereo, though. At least it didn't end up someplace where you couldn't get at it and get rid of it.

Kimmar, that was SUCH a lovely pic you posted yesterday!! I truly appreciate all you do to increase our viewing pleasure here

Well, Pam, ya managed to get them both to adulthood safely! Kudos to ya on the great job you did, too! The survival kit was a stroke of genius--I LOVE it!! Hope you have some time to relax before that darn deadline hits again.

Whoo-hoo, Tara, on getting the job for next school year!! So much more rewarding when you can actually SEE that you are making a difference in a child's life. Good luck getting all the stuff done for your certification. Does this mean you and Astrid won't be able to do the scrapping weekend up here as planned? Oh, and I just LOVE Ethan's first sentence!!! If that ain't something to journal in the ole scrapbook, I don't know what is!!!

Laine, you are thinking about changing your WDW trip from Dec. to Oct., now?! Definitely a better time for showing off the swimsuit, that's for sure! :teeth: Dave is thinking he may still go down in Dec. for a long weekend, even though I can't. It just won't be right for me, though, to go into the Christmas season without kicking it off with WDW.

Sigh....time to fold clothes. Then I need to cook some dinner, so Dave has something to eat while I'm at work tonight. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!! :grouphug:

Quiet in here today.
Lawyer is done :bounce:

Need to go get kitties settled in and pack still. Probably won't be back on until tomorrow.
Give me some posts to ketchup on ::yes:: ;)

Beth....getting those meals done, sounds like a great idea before your surgery.
I booked MNSSHP yesterday :teeth: Now costumes or not? Not sure. Don't want to take too much space in the suitcases.

OMG, this took a long time to load up!!!!

Kimmar :rotfl:

Lily, feel better soon. Haven't found anything fun yet. I wound up cleaning some and need to tend to the wash. Apparently a friend of ours will be spending the night here in a week or so. She's from Cincy and needs to be downtown by 7:30 in the morning on a Weds. So she'll crash here the night before. So I am washing sheets and blankets.

Nancy, I hope the house wasn't too messy to leave. I hate doing that myself. I hope you have a safe trip to CA too!!!

LOL, Bethie, not sure I want to show off the swim suit. I just feel like it will be more relaxed if I go in Oct. No offense to Tara, but hardly anyone I thought would be there in Dec will show up. I like Christmas in WDW, but I think I want my schedule on when I go to change up a bit. We'll see... I have to talk to Luis and then call DVC to see what we could get. If there is no 1 bedroom at all available, I doubt we'd go then.

I need to get back to the laundry... fun stuff ;)

Afternoon, all.

About to head out to work in a few. We went to have tea with Neil's class-it was very nice. They were doing a unit on manners, and his were in great form. The AP sat with us, so we got a little bit of info for the summer program.

Lainey, it looks scary, but it really isn't! Hanging at the top was the most thrilling part of the ride. At that, it wasn't a heart pounder!

Bethie, I think you've got a place in Ashburn Village. Owner's brother runs the one we have in Centreville. You would be surprised at how many people come in prior to surgery to have no fuss food while recouperating! We also do To Gos at session prices for new mommies.

Ed says "Thanks, I think" about the comments about his eyeballs! :rotfl2:

Since I'm closing tomorrow, we did a Quattro de Mayo lunch, lol!

My little man is on the crocs bandwagon, so we tried tracking down Aspens in green for him. Dillards didn't have green in kids. Ed wants orange Beaches, none in his size. Too funny!

Gotta jet! Back later!

Suzanne

Hi gang,

wah!! no one wants to be in disney when I'm there!! no one loves me, everyone hates me, i'm gonna go eat worms!!! :teeth:

I agree, ed looks better with his eyes in his head!!

Hopefully, Astrid and I will be able to come up north to scrap. We haven't ruled it out yet!

Have fun packing and going to cali!!

:woohoo: Disney has added snacks to the DDP!! :woohoo: There's lots to choose from now!! yippee!! I can eat even more!! (that is if I get to go...money may cause me to scrap the trip :( so we are hoping that things get better!!)

Have counseling again tonight...its been such a rough two weeks that we have two appts. this week! Then i go to my new bowling league meeting. This is my summer thursday league. This is the one where I hope to meet a man!! ehhehehe yeah, like that's gonna happen!! :lmao:

okay, gotta go and do real work!! back later!!

tara

Suzanne, actually that one didn't look too scary to me. Ohio is the home to the coaster captial of the world, so that doesn't ever bother me ;) It just looked really neat compared to most I've seen before. I love coasters (like you couldn't tell)

Awww Tara, right now we are still on for Dec, but it just feels "off" for me. Of course we are only overlapping one day right now, so don't see it as me totally abandoning you. I do hope you find the money for the trip though :)

Thinking good thoughts for you with meeting a man :teeth:

Boring life now I think... I feel very blah today.

Beautiful day here today. The boys are all outside playing b-ball and Junior is working OT so I have a nice quiet house. Aaahh!!

Beth, yes, having the second car has helped sooo much. :)

Lily, sorry you aren't feeling well. I thought I sprayed enough Lysol around here. My nephew is now sick. :(

Sherry glad y'all had a beautiful day there! We didn't get that until right at the end of the day. I hope your nephew gets well soon!

Well, I talked to Luis and we might just move the trip to Oct. I'm going to look into it tomorrow with what's available with DVC and go from there. I think we might try for end of Oct beginning of Nov. Straddle that week maybe.

Hi everyone!

Bethie, great to hear from you!

Suzanne, sounds like a great program that school has to let the young ones practice manners. Gee.

Elaine, sometimes boring isn't bad.

Sherry, thanks for spraying some extra. I think it is helping. I don't feel worse. Thats good, no?

Tara, good luck with the Thursday league. Hope you have many choices.

Nancy, eek on the mouse thing. I was going through an old photo album and found a pic I took of my kitty bringing one to me. She was such a provider.

I've just walked in the door. Got my hairs done, then took DS#2 to get some shorts/shirts. I just happened upon some things for me too. It was a success, but I am very tired.

G'nite...

Evening, all. Long night at the store tonight--boss even stayed till closing and she opened this morning!! District Mgr. coming for a visit first thing in the morning and then Saturday is Nat'l Scrapbooking Day and we have BIG doings in the works! So much yet to do and so little time to do it in.

LOL, Suzanne, I made the mistake of showing Dave the website for your company! I now have an appointment for next Tuesday morning in Centreville and will be bringing home 8 entrees!! The hard part was deciding which of our 10 choices we were going to save for the next time :thumbsup2

Tara, I would join you in a heartbeat at WDW right after T-giving if I could! Love my job, but hate that holiday restriction. Sigh......hope your finances will still allow for your trip, anyway. We are going to try that dining plan, too. There's plenty to eat there, that's for sure!!!

Hope things work out for you with DVC, Laine. Somehow I managed to score some great airfares, too!

Lily, I hope you picked up a few things for me--I haven't been able to go out shopping for anything but groceries in ages!! Sending a healthy dose of PD in your direction--can't have you gettin' sick! Keep the Lysol handy, just in case.

Think I'll go read for a bit and try to get "unwound" so I can sleep. Workmen coming tomorrow to finally finish the flooring on our balconey, so I can't sleep in too long. Nighty-night!! :grouphug:

Evening, all.

Winding down from a busy day. I like how fast they go!

Bethie, any questions about that menu, let me know. We run a month ahead of Centreville, so I may have had some of your choices. The salmon was a hit with picky Neil to give you an idea!

Lainey, I'm a coaster nut, too. I was explaining to Ed how the Python seemed so lame in '84 since we'd been on the Loch Ness Monster a week earlier. My dad planned all our vacations around amusement parks and caving! I had Kings Dominion about 2 hours away, Hershey just over an hour away and Kennywood three hours away...I could get decent coaster fixes when needed.

Sherry, bummer on the sickies. I'll send ya more lysol.

Oooh, Lily got purty new hairs!

Tiara, if you let me know, I can be at WDW to play with you. I make the schedule now, lol! By the time you get here, we'll have AP's.

Gotta do some work related stuff, then hit the hay. I was talking to one of my buddies on the way home tonight and she was commenting on how she can tell this is the perfect job for me. Gee, because I'm babbling about it nonstop, lol?

I have arrived.....:

Spoken like a true Diva, babeeeee! :thumbsup2

;)

Dreary, overcast day here. DS has his AP Wold History Test today at school - I think it's around 4.5 hours long. :faint:

Then he has to come home and pack his suitcase for his trip to NYC!

I think DD and I are sneaking out for lunch and a spin around the outlet mall.

DH has to work, plus have the boat and trailer towed (for the 3rd time!) to a boat repair shop for an estimate. Nice that he's doing all the work instead of the insurance company, huh?? The accident will be 5 weeks on Sunday and they still haven't done anything about the boat and trailer. :furious:

Boo hiss on Lainey's blahs! :grouphug:

Well hello there Miss Bethie-bug! :wave2: Always glad to 'see' ya!!

Suzanne - any spider bite update???? Did Ed's eyeballs stay in place?

Tara - lots and lots of pixiedust: pixiedust: so that you'll be able to go to WDW!!

And a big howdy-hi to Sherry, Alan, Lily, Kimmar, Kama, Shep and Amanda, Liz and all of my other peeps!

:yay: :hippie:

good morning gang,

I woke up extra early for no reason this morning so I thought I would say hi.

Oh and I realized what a dork I really am....yesterday I posted pictures to the bloopers thread on the theme parks board...you know silly pictures and strange things...well, i realized this morning that I did not post them to the bloopers thread but to the picture of the day thread :rotfl: so everyone else has these beautfiul shots of wdw and i have a girafe butt!! :lmao: I haven't gone back to see if anyone has busted me for having bad pictures there. I guess today when I'm supposed to be working I will move the pictures to the bloopers thread!! hehehehe

thanks for the pd for the trip. I am trying to think positive that things will work out!! Oh and no choices for the bowling men...ewww the new member of our team was smoking like a chimney, had hair in a pony tail down his back, and had on a flowered shirt. :confused3 I'm not sure what's up with him!! lol!

okay, gotta run and get my soda and head to work!! I'll stop back by later!!

Morning!! Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

:sunny: day here, but chilly. Nephew is feeling better so I will be able to do groceries after all this morning. :)

Pam, I meant to say earlier how cool the survival pack you made was. :thumbsup2 Have fun shopping. Boo on the insurance co. :furious:

Nancy, glad you arrived safely. :)

Lily, hope your feeling better. Big game tonight. These games are making me nervous. :hyper: :teeth:

Morning :wave2:

....Nets won last night...at least I can breathe a sigh of relief [for a while, anyhoo...]

Morning all! In a short while I'll be calling DVC for dates. I wanted to try to overlap as many trips as possible. Sadly I don't think I'll get to catch Lily on this trip, but I know we can get together more easily other times :teeth:

Lily, boring sure isn't bad for me! Just means y'all will yawn while talking to me ;) Woo hoo for getting hairs done. I need to do that soon.

LOL, Bethie, isn't it great when our friends here influence us? :teeth: I looked at air briefly for Oct/Nov and it isn't that great, but it is better than Dec. Just getting so expensive to fly around the holidays.

Suzanne, you sound like me. I went on Magnum XL not too long ago. It bored me to death. I have a tendency to see coasters like BTM as kiddie coasters more than the real thing now. Cedar Point and Kings Island sure have me spoiled. I didn't even think the Hulk at IoA was anything to shout about. Probably why I like Disney so much. Few coasters and thrill rides there so I don't get disappointed if they aren't exciting that way... they go for feel and I can live with that!

Good luck to your DS today, Pam! I hope the test won't be too bad! Blahs are better, Pam... just was dreary and I was achey yesterday.

:rotfl: Tara
I need to go find that thread :teeth: Sorry aobut the guy... the ponytail wouldn't bug me, and I could even get past the shirt (they can be changed ya know ;)) but the smoking... ewww... sorry!

Sherry, glad your nephew is doing better. What game are you talking about for tonight?

Yay for making it safely Nancy!!

:wave2: Hi Kimmar!

Off to look up my DVC stuff and hope for good dates!
