Afternoon / Evening gang,

I should have stayed in bed instead of bowling today!! I was REALLY bad. But it didn't start too good b/c my ride forgot to pick me up and I was hanging out in the Wawa parking lot. :rotfl: She finally came back and got me (its on base and I don't have a pass to get on unless it is my bowling league night)

Counseling went well, we discussed Jarrod's latest scissor escapade (the cutting of a blow up punching bag) and the sticking of his brother in a garbage bag  He was very concerned and so we went over everything we could do to keep it from happening again.

KImmar...thanks for the directions for the Ark...I figure I can take some of my vinyl wood floors and start construction tomorrow!! love all the pictures!!

Elaine...so what did you get from TB? I'm partial to the mexican pizza's w/o green onions but +sour cream!! yummy! Great that you will get to see your brother. woohoo on Luis coming back tonight!

Tina...sorry you are sick but glad you had a good time at WDW!! woohoo!!! Don't forget to show us pictures!!

Paula...good luck with the woodchucks! Sounds like they are sitting back and plotting their next move!!

alan....sounds like a great way to spend the evening. Jarrod will go to VBS next month for a week with one of his buddies from school.

Lily...I usually sing...I owe I owe, its off to work I go!! Hope your day went well!!

I think I'm all caught up. need to pay some bills and do some real stuff on the ole 'puter. I'll be back later tonight or tomorrow!!

tara

one more evening bump before I hit the hay. They are talking rain again tomorrrow so i may sit and scrap all day and watch the kids play!!

have a good one gang!!

tara

Howdy, all!

Been mucho busy at work but it's been fun! Got the podiatrist appointment after work tomorrow to get my orthotics, woohoo.

Tara, your TB's have Mexican Pizza? Ours don't! Yikes on the bag incident. You mean to say you go on post to bowl and you can't find eligible bachelors? :teeth:

Lily, no code name for us-yet. Check back in a couple of years! Glad to hear you've made a decision about the future. I hope that makes going to work a little easier every morning.

Lainey, I thought I abandoned you ;) . Woohoo on your brother visiting!!! Have lots of fun!

Kimmar, nice arc! You've been picture happy, haven't you. Love the nekkid ritual picture.

Bethie, I know all about those soggy ceiling tiles. The last major rain (in february) I lost a few tiles at DS. Are you enjoying no OT?

Tina, sounds like you wore yourself out on that vacation and the germies got you.

Alan, so, new school? Have they run a school before? I hope it's what y'all are looking for.

John, man oh man on those pictures. Good thing Sue ruined the fun. I'd rather be a funsucker than be using the sump pump on the basement. I'm sure your insurance company thanks you!

Paula, sounds like the job is agreeing with Chris. Mr Woodchuck better comem back to give Jeffrey some practice for the moose.

Back tomorrow. Pleasant dreams everyone!

Suzanne

Elaine, yay on your brother visiting. Glad Luis came home today. :)

Suzanne, yay for the orthotics! :bounce:

Good morning ladies & gentlemen (I'll use that one loosely). Luis made it home late last night, but he brought with him my laptop. I'll have to set it up on our wireless today. It is so cute :)

Sherry, glad you had a nice lazy day. We all need those at times!!! Any good plans for today?

Welcome back Tina! I do hope this means you will be stopping in mroe now. Glad you had a good time in FL :)

Sorry about the bowling, Tara, but I hope you had fun all the same. My goal with bowling is getting a 60 or higher, so usually I'm not doing too bad :p Oh TB? I got spicy chicken soft tacos with cheese only and nachos. I don't like wilted lettuce and on those it really isn't very good. I'm not much of a Mexican food lover, so I have a tendency to dumb down most of what is there. But I still love it :teeth:

You abandoned me? Well then I don't feel so bad Suzanne :teeth: After a while I went to the store and noticed my IM wasn't right. Then a moment later I saw your reply. It was odd... happened with afriend a day or two ago as well. I turned my IM back on and there were three messages from them all at once. Weird. Good luck with the doc!

Off to play with computers :wave2: :teeth:

Suzanne...the eligible bachelors i see tend only be about 18! They aren't even legal to buy me a drink yet!! The only other ones are the ones who are over 70 who are widowed. So since none of them appear to be Anna Nicole Smith husband rich...I'm not going to mess with them either!!

Elaine....woohoo on your new 'puter have fun setting it up.

Sherry...hi there!!

I just woke up a bit ago and when I looked at the clock I jumped out of bed. It is after 9. The last time I looked at the clock it said 7 something and I didn't think I had gone back to sleep. Apparently I did! hehehe I got up to Jarrod using a kitchen knife to cut up his breafast bars...uh they don't need to be cut up. That's all I've found that he has gotten into so hopefully he hasn't gotten into anything else. The baby is still sleeping so I thought I would hop on here before the day got going completely!!

have a good day gang!

Mrs. AA really loved the school. We have been a little leary of how our current school has reacted towards Abigail's autism. However, another friend from the school with two boys is the one who was most interested in this school and wanted Rebecca to go with her.

She has not had any issues with our current school and she loved this new one too.

Suzanne, that was my main concern as well. ::yes:: This will be a very small school and will be based in a church. However, the pricipal does have a solid background and a board was created for this school about two years ago.

I am impressed with their organization and policies. We also know the chairman. His children had attended the same school we currently attend but they pulled them out two years ago due to the excessive homework. (It is a complaint of many parents who go there)

So...both girls are going to take entrance tests this afternoon. Rebecca told them about Abigail, but the prinipal said to test her anyway. We had been planning to let her repeat kindegarten, which this school does not offer.

However, the principal said that they had made the decision to be a little relaxed with the first grade class because they anticipate having some kids who have never attended school previously. So we'll see how she does and allow the school to make that call. But it does look like Lela will be attending in the fall at the very least.

Tina, it sounds like you had a great trip. ::yes::

Good morning Y'all-Y'alls!

It looks like I called it correctly :teeth:

Good luck with the school. Getting a school to do right by your child can be difficult. Also, fyi....if you feel like Abagail could use some additional help via a teacher who is familiar with autisim you can have her evaluated by your school district and have an IEP put into place for her... the only difference would be that she would have to go to her local school for her services rather than have her services done at her current school. They may also act as a consult to the teachers she has at her private school so that they know how best to teach her.

okay, baby is awake and jarrod has gone out to the sun room to play. so I guess it is safe to get off the computer and tend to my children!!

:grouphug: Morning all.....

I'm hoping to see the :sunny: today......

Chris came home from work all bummed out last night - aparently one of the surveyors that he works with makes him do all the driving and yesterday he backed up onto some kind of rod sticking out of a guardrail. It got stuck in the wheelwell and caused quite a bit if scratches and dents. Chris felt horrible about it. Jeffrey tried his best to calm him - said "when you go in tomorrow just be honest abou it". And later said to me...I don't know why they're making a 17yr old kid do the driving - serves them right. On the nights that Chris is working late they just let him take a truck home so that Jeffrey does not have to wait for him.

Alyssa and I had a wonderful talk yesterday about her life - her future etc. I am so proud of her - she really wants to "make something of herself" and be financially and emotionally independant. I don't know if it's just due to a different era but these are things I never even thought about - I assumed I would be married right out of college and that happened - I never once thought about having to live on my own. We also talked about her new boyfriend. About how laid-back their relationship is and how much she admires the fact that he is such a hard work who also has plans for the future. Proud Mama moment.
She did have a brief moment of panic last night - she's been getting headaches (hmm..teenager - doesn't eat right - drinks to much coffee..ya think??) - anyway - ever since the bout with viral meningitis last year she gets scared when she starts to not feel well - I lad to look up the records to make sure she took the right meds - last time she took tylenol - which was wrong - they told her she needed Motrin. It was pretty funny to see her walking around the house saying "I think it's the Meninga again".... :goodvibes

Elaine - sorry about the IM woes yesterday - I thought you had fallen into a black hole..... :cheer2: On Luis homecoming and a new laptop!!

Alan - sounds like the school may be a good fit....best of luck on the exam today.

 Hi Sherry!!

Tara - sounds like you have a good counselor there who is staying on top of things.... I am waiting to get Chris adjusted summer schedule from his counselor.

Suzanne - good luck at the doctors!!

Hi Tina - sounds like you had a great trip!!

Hi Lily..Pam....Beth.....et al...

P.s. will someone please explain what posessed me to buy Alyssa a 5 pound bag of peanut M&M's at BJ? And why doe sit keep calling to me??

p.p.s. My nephew came in 13th out of the 50 states in the AAA/Ford competition!!

p.p.p.s. I am always on Yahoo IM - paulangg - if anyone wants to give me a holla!!

:grouphug:

Tara, I hope you enjoyed your sleeping in! I do that every once in a while. I have a 2nd alarm set to go off at a certain time just in case. So I wake up with Luis and then I have the 2nd if I need it :teeth:
As for cutting up bars... well don't you know the taste better that way? ;)

Paula, sorry about Chris' little bump there... I'm sure he isn't hte first (or will be the last) to have that happen though. Woo hoo for Alyssa... she really sounds like a wise girl :)
Sorry for the IM... I have no clue what happened. Just know fi I don't respond, I'm not being intentionaly rude or anything... I do wonder why it does that though... hmmm....

Playing with the laptop some more :teeth:

Morning!

Slept in till 9:30 today. :bounce: The me and the 2 older boys cut the grass.

Forgot to say welcome home, Tina. Hope you feel better soon.

Elaine, glad Luis made it home safely. Have fun playing with the new laptop. :)

Paula, Alyssa sounds like she has a good head on her shoulders. ::yes:: Sorry about Chris's small bump. Peanut M&M's? Yummmmm!

:rotfl: Alan. I haven't seen Capt. Caveman in a loooong time. Good luck with the new school.

Tara, glad you got to sleep in. I like that straight jacket idea. I could use 4 of those. :lmao:

Oh, I've spent a wee bit of time around pool tables, which may explain why I'm so used to being stuck behind the eight ball ;)

But I think it would be a great new location if we don't go to Tara's bowling alley. Pool halls are artistic. I do admire a tight rack after all. ::yes::

Morning, all! Getting a late start to my day, today--I jumped out of bed and into some clothes so I could run over to the store to explain to the other manager what was going on. Too much to leave her a note! Big semi-annual sale starts tomorrow and we are in the midst of putting markdown stickers on merchandise and moving displays around so that the sale stuff is all up front. Very confusing and just a lot of busy work, if you ask me. Hopefully she understands. In any case, I stopped at the bank and the gas station on the way home and now am getting ready to get my shower and make myself a little more presentable to the public.

LOL!! Suzanne, no such thing as no OT this week!! Even with the help from the other store, I'm still going to be over 50 hours by the end of Friday night. I'm just praying that we don't get a shipment today!

LOVE the bear picture!! Is that outfit available at BaB??!!!!
And the M&M Darth Vader.... :lmao:

Alan, sounds like the new school could be a really good thing! Hope all goes well with the testing today.

Tara, keep your eyes open, there may still be a few single fish in that pond who are of a decent age! Then again, one of the young ones wouldn't be so bad, cuz he'd still be trainable!! :rotfl:

Oh, Paula!! So glad you had such a good talk with Alyssa!! sounds like things are going to work out just fine there. Poor Chris and the truck, though. Hope his little incident doesn't cause him any problems. I kinda question why they're making him do the driving, too.

Enjoy that new laptop, Laine! Wish I had time to drop into IM so we could chat again. Maybe once things get settled out at the store and my schedule gets scaled back some.....

Yay!!! Tina is back!! Glad to hear you had such a good time in FL!! Sorry you came home sick, but you are so right that it's better to be sick now than while you were on vacation. Hope you are feeling better real soon!

kimmar :rotfl2: What are we going to do with you??!! You are the picture posting queen, I believe! Keep 'em coming, girl! You know how to liven up the place!!

I think I need to make some coffee....brain is going sluggish on me and I can't think of anything else. Better get that shower too, before I'm so ripe I can't stand myself. Have a great day, everyone!! Love ya'll madly and :grouphug:

Well Kimmar, I do admire your rack but if you are looking for something artistic that in enveloped with velvet....
