Good morning, Ya Ya Family!! OMG, I had no idea how tired I was!! It's kinda overcast today and when I woke up, I was wondering if I'd managed to sleep past my usual wake up time of 7AM. Opened my eyes and the clock read 9:22!!!! I guess I needed that rest!
Other good news I forgot to tell ya'll, Our #3 person at the store, the Events Specialist (responsible for the classroom, classes, crops, parties, etc) has applied for the SM position. She's 25, extremely artistic and creative and VERY good at delegating/managing people. I have no problem working UNDER her, although I have my doubts about her ability to stay on top of all the paperwork and other facets of the job. Well, she is now the Acting SM and salaried and I get to go back to being the Assistant!!! Whoo-hooooo! THAT'S why the DM called the other store and demanded they help me out next week--they don't want to have to pay me overtime! The next 4 weeks will be fun, cuz I'm not going to just do what needs to be done, I will let her assign the responsibilities where she likes. She needs to find out if she's really capable of seeing that EVERYthing is done.
Hmmm, Paula's finishing up Wicked........sounds like a good idea! I need a good book to relax with today while I, too, do

Let the machines work and I'll join ya with my feet up, Paula!! Glad to hear Alyssa sounds so positive about the new school year. Was she able to get her friend as a roommate? Classes sound good, as an accountant for 30+ years, I can attest to the fact that she needs a little variety in her schedule. Those other classes will help to keep her from being buried in the numbers! And Chris' job sounds like it just might be one of the best things he ever did! Learning surveying and all ON the job is wonderful for him! I'm so glad they aren't just making him be the gopher and tote the equipment!
Sher, I have a couple of extra suitcases available for stowaways. I'm sure you can parcel out the rest of the family amongst all who are going to WDW in Oct/Nov!! Smart move to unplug the laptop during the storms. We lost one of our 5 registers at the store during a storm a few weeks ago. Weird how it fried 1 and left the rest alone! Glad to hear your SIL made it despite the rain delay.
I sure hope your work place CAN be happy for ya, Lily. Try singing the 7 Dwarfs song--they sound pretty happy about going to work and then coming home! And Mary Poppins' "Spoonful of Sugar" song--there's that line in it about the robin building his nest "He knows a song will move the job along" So Sing, Lily, Sing!!!
Laine, sounds like it might be time to get those wrists checked by a Dr. Might be able to fix the problem before it gets so bad that surgery would be required. Carpal Tunnel is sooooo common nowadays! Glad to hear your dad is joining you at WDW!!! Do we need to increase the party size on the ADR for Sunday nite?
Whooo-freaking-hoooo on a day off WITH the hubby, Suzanne!!! How often does THAT happen anymore?!! And you have a CM consultant on staff???

Good luck resisting the scrapping bug! Just don't let her tell you CM is the ONLY way to go--do whatever YOU like!
Speaking of whoo-freaking-hoooo.......

Jellybean!! Drop in for a visit again soon, I miss you!
Doggone, I wish we could extend our WDW dates so we could meet up with ya, Betty! And the coincidences with you and Paula---I know we're all sistahs under the skin, but you guys might be twins!! Kudos to your DD on her choices for her major. Lord knows we need good people to help get our kids off to a good start in their school careers!!
Well, I guess it's time for me to hit the shower and get some laundry started. I'll check in again later. Love ya'll!!!
