Morning.

Arthur and the Invisibles was pretty good. Kevin loved it, and I think that's what matters. I felt the story was a bit uneven, but the animation was spectacular. He wants to see Night at the Museum next, but say he's too young for Eragon,

Sherry, stay safe in all that snow!

Tara, yeah Megan got canned. Ed didn't know it. These friends met (and worked on) Rosie, then Sharon Osbourne and now Megan. They moved to LA and we had no idea that we could've seen them back in September!

Lainey, he knows what's going on with all the ABC soaps. That's Ed's viewing as he folds laundry. Yep, I don't have to do that, so I don't mind that he can tell me who's who, I'm just :cool1: that I'm not folding!

Amanda, That diet would be hard to do for me, too-I don't do well eating right after I get up. The concept makes sense, though. Bummer the girls weren't all that excited with HSM. How's new job working for you?

Kimmar, How's MIL today?

kids are at school and it's just me and Ed today. Gotta get the christmas lights off the house and go from there. Had my first bout of nausea from the Vicodin last night, but I went to sleep to get rid of it. Kevin will be happy, because I'm taking him to cooking school today.

What she said!

Hi Ya Yas! I back from vaca. I really enjoyed. I'm at work where I have a computer. My HD crashed AGAIN so it's in repair getting warranty replacement. Don't understand the crash...we've got APC unit to surge protect and such.
:confused3

I'll hafta get a moment to ketchup, but wanted to say Morning first.

Congrats, Lily! Love the siggy pic, you look fantastic!

Suzanne

Suzanne, yay that Ed folds laundry for you. Does he watch AMC? That's my soap!! :thumbsup2

Kimmar, it was a great b-day. :teeth:

Lily, thanks. :) Welcome home and congrats on the marathon. Love the pic. Sorry to hear about the crash, though. :(

Morning all! Lazy feeling day today. Mostly because a cat was sleeping on my head half the night... I think she was cold ;) Amazing how one little cat can distrub sleep so much :p

Tara, it hit me that if you wanted to see snow, you could always head out to Denver. I hear they had a little there :p

We were supposed to see snow, but so far I haven't seen anything here. I know Luis was supposed to be driving to Cleveland today so I am glad that the snow seems to have stayed away so far.

Sherry, glad you enjoyed the movie. I actually wanted to see it, but Luis had no interest in it. I was shocked too since that usually is a type he wants to see. He has a thing for teen type movies :teeth:
Oh and nice new siggy! I love that pic you have there.

Speaking of Luis he did just call and say in Cleveland there was a lot of snow. I guess Columbus missed it again.

Amanda, sorry that the girls weren't that interested in the show. I'm used to having openers and then a 10-15 minute break, but you would think with kids that they would be more wanting to keep everything going and entertaining.

Suzanne, I hope the Vicodin does good things for you. What kind of cooking school will Kevin be going to?
If I watched TV while doing any kind of housework, I'd never get it done. That's probably why I haven't seen a single soap since I was home sick while working.

Welcome back Lily! You do look awesome in the pic!!! Sorry about the HD blowing up again. Sadly that happening doesn't always have a thing to do with a surge protector type thing. It could be crappy HDs or it could even be a power surge in your computer.

I should get moving... been too lazy this morning.

Welcome Home Lily!! :thumbsup2 Hats off to you on the Marathon!!

Sherry - snowy roads sound like a good excuse to stay in !! Do be careful if you have to go back out.

Suzanne - I never got to see Megan's show - I'm wondering if she is just too "karen typecast" - which I do love by the way.

Amanda - hope you have a good week as well!!

Tara - so sorry that you "fell off the path" at bowling last night.

Some random thoughts for today:
Kittens and jigsaw puzzles - never a good match.
Who cares that Don Juan Demarco was a horrible movie - I only watched for the "scenery".
Am I the only one that's looking forward to the new comedy starring David Spade and ...um.....you know.....Kronk......??

Gotta hit the shower - counselors and post office. Alyssa already up and gone - clothes shopping with boyfriend - he has a job interview this week.

Enjoy your day everyone - I'll be back later.

Just wanted to pop in for a quick Good Morning to all!

Later...............:wave2:

Lainey,
Kevin's been going to Young Chef's Academy since September. He loves it. This is the kid who was saying he would be a chef when he grows up, now he's convinced he will.

We had to laugh last night. The kids asked for Red Lobster when I said we were going out. Kevin asked for Calamari and the waitress was shocked that a little guy was asking for it. I think we got more table visits than normal because she couldn't believe he'd eat it-but he did.

Gotta get cracking on the work stuff. And yes, Sherry, he does watch AMC and GH. I think he only watches OLTL once in a while.

Suzanne

Kimmar, hope MIL is getting better. Prayers and PD.

Suzanne, You've got the powerful meds? Hmmm, hope you don't need them often. I feel so bad that you are going through this.

Elaine, hope Luis didn't slip around here much. Traffic was pretty balled up around here. Hmmmm power issues INSIDE my 'puter might be frying this baby? Hmmmm...

Amanda, I'm hoping your new assignment is going well.

Pam, deadline met?

RM, Good morning.

Paula,
Am I the only one that's looking forward to the new comedy starring David Spade and ...um.....you know.....Kronk......??
ummm yes.

Bethie, how's things with you? Still working too much?

Will check back as I can.

What time will Luis be stopping by for dinner? Sue is working late, so we'll just have to order pizza or something.

I have noticed that, whenever Luis comes to Cleveland, the weather turns crappy. Coincidence???

You should have bought him snow tires and chains for Christmas. Perhaps next year.

ODOT is doing a decent job at keeping the roads clear. But once again, the drivers in NE Ohio have forgotten how to drive in the snow (since it has been SO long since they've seen snow in these parts). Sigh.

DS James is back in Youngstown at college. He pretty much moved home for the three weeks he got off for the break between semesters and, when we got back to his dorm, he seemed to have misplaced the power strip for his computer. If it hadn't been for mom's constant reminders, he would have left his monitor and power cord at home too. The power strip we bought at KMart didn't have a long enough cord, so I ran out at lunch today and bought one with a 10 foot cord at Staples. And it was PRICEY. And heavy. Sue will probably head to the post office tomorrow to mail it to him. It's a tossup as to whether or not it would just be cheaper to drive to Youngstown to give it to him rather than use the USPS. Another decision.

Best wishes to all for a healthy, happy, and safe New Year.

I have tickets for a Styx concert Sun. Not really excited about it anymore since my friend that was going with me had to go out of town for a funeral. :sad1: Who wants to join me?
How was the concert? I went to the Kilroy (Mr. Roboto) tour when friends and I were old enough to be dropped off at a concert, but not quite old enough to drive.

Dropping in for a quick hello and
party: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHERRY!!!!!party:
May I borrow this? Thanks!

Tina, I'm not much for the globes, but the red carpet might rate a viewing here.

She had a 'name the butt' segment with famouse backsides. The only one I knew was Johnny Depp's :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Then, he put on the view.
After Tara's fake censored word comment, I will refrain from making any "globe" comments. And I will definitely refrain from the sement your friends worked on, other than saying it's cool they are doing work they enjoy in LA

kids are at school and it's just me and Ed today. Gotta get the christmas lights off the house and go from there.
I feel much better now. The lights came off Sunday and we still need to get the tree down.

I'm sorry about the pain and med side effects, btw.

Nice ketchup, I'll borrow that also. ::yes::

Thanks for sharing the pics, Tara - I loved seeing them.

Alan,

The lights are off, but the ornaments are not put away. Ed's afraid of heights, so the gimpy on Vicodin got on the scaffolding and ladder to put them up and take them down, lol!

Saw Styx during the Paradise Theatre tour. Good show, I rode my bike to the concert. Yes, I am crazy, but that was back in the day when I'd ride about 150 miles a week, the 7 miles was nothing. Strange thing is that 4 years later, I wouldn't have dreamed of riding my bike to college, which was right beyond the Coliseum where I saw the Styx concert.

Suzanne

:wave2: Alan :wave2: gimp, I mean Suzanne :flower3:
The concert was GREAT! We were in the 10th row. but, they didn't play Mr roboto :confused3 My DS went and he said it was better than the Doobie Bros. LOL Can't wait, up next is Billy Joel. Can ya tell I'm still a :hippie: at heart :goodvibes

Welcome back Lily. Great pic!

Gotta get back to work

PS. My little tree is still up (insert red faced smilie)

Paula, who on earth said that Don Juan Demarco was a bad movie? I loved it :teeth: Oh and cats and knitting don't match much either ;)

Suzanne, that is so cool that Kevin is taking those classes. I bet he will have fun doing that for a while. I'm impressed he ate calimari as well... then again I am not one who eats sea food :p As for lights, I say leave them up, as long as they aren't on who cares ;)

Lily, Luis didn't say anything about bad roads where he was. He called me at just about 10 to say he got in. I know he left just about 8 so I doubt he ran into anything too bad. Not sure what part of the city they are in today though.

LOL, John! I said the same thing to him. I told him I am sick to death of his boss picking crappy snow days for him to drive up there. He won't be staying for supper though. This is only a day trip for him and one person. Of course they said that last time, but since he does have Colin with him, I doubt they'd foot the bill for two rooms.

Alan, want to come take our lights down for us. My inside is totally de-Christmas'd but the outside lights are up. I get scared just watching Luis up on the ladder, let alone try it for myself.

Rose Mary, glad you both had fun! I just saw Billy Joel on American Choppers. I can't believe how strong he goes for a man who has done this his whole life. He got a cool bike from them though :teeth:

Hi gang ....I'm around - rough afternoon - counselling days are always difficult for me right now.

Forgot to say that I should be starting the countdown - going to Wicked Friday night!! :cool1:

Afternoon gang,

It's been a busy day...no time to ketchup. So hi

Off to boy scouts

tara

Page 4!

Good Morning!!

Paula, sorry you had a rough afternoon. :yay: for Wicked!!
FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL!!!

Elaine, hope Luis had a safe trip back from Cleveland.

Hi John! Good to see ya pop in!!

Suzanne, that's cool about cooking school. Jared has mentioned that he'd like to be a chef someday. He loves to help me cook.

Sherry and John...Keep the bad weather up your way. It is cold here, but nothing has stuck.

Cooking school for kids...I would love for the girls to try that. I should see if there is anything around here like that. Although Mandy has decided on being a veterinarian. Cassie says the same, but I think her's is more because that is what Mandy has decided.

Lily...Congrats on finishing your marathons and glad to see you back.

The new job is going fine. Busy, but from what I have worked on and seen I think I am going to enjoy it.

I seem to be fighting a cold, maybe a little sinus. Doesn't help that one day you can go out with a coat and the next you need your coat, gloves and hat:sad2:

Back to work!

MY THOUGHT EXACTLY!!!

Morning all. Not good news on my jeep but, not the worst either. Time to make a car buying decision. :confused3 Still thinking about it.

:flower3:  Paula. Remember "FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL".

DARN IT, OUT OF TIME! later gang!
