No problem Lainey, those three items are pretty constant for my shopping lists too.

Good morning y'all!

Quiet here in Ya Ya Land.

Going to see Eragon in a couple hours. Not sure what else we will do.

Elaine, send some flan my way. Congrats to your friend.

Hi Alan!

...Flan??!?! Flan?? FLAN??!?!?!?! Did someone mention FLAN....??!?!?! :hyper:

...Flan??!?! Flan?? FLAN??!?!?!?! Did someone mention FLAN....??!?!?! :hyper:

LOL, yep, I made some flan... it's cooling currently and we'll eat it on NYE

Alan, you are a twit!

Sherry, feel free to come down for it! Hopefully it will taste as good as it looks

I'm off to run errands now :wave2:

Okay, remember that I'm a computer virgin here folks..... I just got a Photobucket account and uploaded DS's "Major Award" pics......

Here's the link, keep your fingers crossed that it works:

Hewwo!

Just got finished watching "Over the Hedge"-reminded me of Toy Story and my old neighborhood in Maryland (that was the bad part, lol)

We're headed down to Sarasota in a few. One of our friends moved to California when Neil was small-he's here for the week doing a TV station install. Our friend from Jacksonville is also down there. My plan is to get Ed to take a picture of the three of us and email it to the Station Manager at the college radio station where we all met. After all, in our hearts, we're still the young 'top jocks', even if our bodies don't agree.

Flan? Yum! One o my former coworkers brought us a homemade Flan cake last month-that was deeeelish! We'll probably be doing a bit of baking, too, Lainey.

Tara, how are those lips today? Any idea what's causing it? Like Liz, I've had far too many bouts of head to toe hives, but I think the balloon lips would be far more uncomfortable.

Alan, I'm so sorry about the childhood treasures- were you able to rescue those? The cat still in the doghouse?

Pam- :dance3: Good to see you!!!

Paula, ahhh-we've used Whelan's at two different places now. Supposedly, current place is VERY happy with them, but we had some *issues* at Disney. However, the last issue was that the mall was telling us a major water leak was our repair and the plumbers took my digital camera up into the wall to show them that no, it was THEIR problem. :rotfl: Gotta love that, the plumber Whelan's sent was only too happy to take those pictures!

How are all those Wii players doing?

Well, the Medicaid thing keeps getting better and better. Got Neil's card and then an eligibility letter that states his coverage began 8/1/06. It also has this part to detach and send in with any medical bills for up to THREE MONTHS prior. Woah, this means everything after 5/1 is potentially covered, and that's the day my insurance w/Disney had lapsed. I'm crossing my fingers-the meds were costing us 1300 a month.

My friends, this is unbelievable. We can finally get some things taken care of and pay off a chunk of bills that have piled up. I figure that we'll see a check sometime this summer :teeth:

The computer parts arrived. This was what was keeping us from heading to Sarasota, so I'm heading out. I'll be back tomorrow.

Suzanne

Fortunately the books were not damaged. I had to remove them invididually and dry them, but it was just one section of the box primarily.

I have a really old view master in there too :)

I only leafed through it but I kept a journal for 2 years in high school and apparently as a teen I spent a lot of time driving my friends to the creek, shooting pool, and playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Yes, beleive it or not, I did even manage to date a few girls in spite of that fact.

Okay, I didn't get any second dates, but we won't go into that right now.

Have a safe and happy New Year's celebration everyone. I look forward to seeing you all back here in 2007 ;)

It has been a long day, can't say much, but if you all could pray for my nephew Ryan and his family I would truly appreciate it. Please ask God to protect Ryan....only He can make a difference now.

I am off to get a little sleep. My brother and SIL asked to have the girls for a bit and with the morning I had I can use some rest.

I read but not in the mood for catch up...sorry :guilty:

I'm praying for Ryan and his family, Amanda.

Alan, Happy New Year to you, too, my friend.:hippie:

Prayers for your nephew Ryan Amanda.:grouphug:

Suzanne - I am sooooo happy that the medicaid thing is working out - your persistence paid off in more ways than one - I hope this can give you some New years Peace of Mind.

Elaine....nice grocery list - haha - I've never had flan - :confused3 is it like a custard?

Alan - glad to hear I'm not the only one with an "animated" cat :cat: - even gladder (yup - that's a word tonite) that the momentos could be saved.

Sherry popcorn:: - how was Eragon? My godson wants to see that.

Pam....nice lamp....:lmao:

So here's my update - I did call in sick yesterday - went shoping with Alyssa and her friend - bought some Hallmark ornaments (POC) and Yankee candle on clearance - gift wrap - bought myself a new robe at Kohls and Jeffrey the New England Patriots AFC 2006 hat - came home - had mudslides and played Disney Trivia - best "mental heath" day I've had in a long time.

Took Chris for his new license today then to his counselor - he left there saying "I've decided I want to be a Navy Seal"....he is out with his friend and 2 girls - celebrating his birthday - went to some sort of car racing place (to drive - not watch) and out to eat. Alyssa is out for the night - Jeffrey in Sci-fi land...me....working....

Working tomorrow night also - so I'll be around....good nite to all.....

Hi gang,

Sorry i wasn't here today...I was scraping all day. I finished 13 pages in 14 hours so i'm pretty happy! i even did a few yaya pics!!

Lips were much better this morning. I got up to normal sized lips but they are incredible sensitive to being dry now. So I have to keep the carmex on them or they hurt like heck. They are itching again tonight, so I'm hoping they are not going to swell up again.

They are terribly cracked from all the swelling so that isn't much fun.

Suzanne...glad things are looking better and better for the medicaid!! That's great!

Elaine...flan sounds good to me!! Glad your friend's baby is doing well.

Amanda...good thoughts to your nephew...I hope things get better for him.

Paula...sounds like a good mental health day!!

Alan...glad your goodies were okay. Hope you have a great new year's!!

Pam...love the lamp and your son!! Very cute!!

Okay...I'm worn out and headed to bed. I'll check back later in the day!! Going to see a winter wonderland this afternoon and then home to finish the stoicking for E!! (fingers crossed tightly!!)

hugs,
tara

morning gang!!!

Haven't had the energy to domuch yet today. I might sit down and scrap a little before we go out to the winter wonderland!!

have a good day all!!

(oh Elaine...check out Josh Groban's Awake...:faint: Love it!!!)

tara

Howdy, all. Santa's elf who really resembles Santa (a/k/a Ed) is busy assembling a computer for the boys. Kevin is quite happy about this, lol. Though if that medicaid thing goes well, I think we'll have Ed build yet another computer to prevent fighting.

Trip to Sarasota was great. It was as if no time had passed-Bob is still his twisted, perverted self. Let's just say I won't look at those diamond circle necklaces the same way ever again, thanks to his comments.:rotfl: We hadn't ventured over that way yet, but will definitely head back. Dinner was at this really good Greek restaurant-something that's everywhere on LI (where we met), but is hard to find here.

Today's going to be something of a veg day-although I am thinking of stopping at the pharmacies we've used this year to gather up the info for Medicaid.

Amanda, prayers for Ryan. to you and the family.

Paula, mental health days are good. ;) Especially if you take so few sick days that when you call in, they figure you must be *really* sick. :thumbsup2

Tara, enjoy the winter wonderland. My scrapping box is at my IL's so that they can pick the background for their shadowboxes. Suppose I should call them and find out which ones they like, since JoAnn's is having a sale on those pages.

Funny story-I brought my box of scrapping stuff to the IL's for Christmas. It's almost all disney pages, and I figured it'd make good backgrounds for those shadowboxes. Ed tells his mom and sister that he's a lucky man-that I can carry around all my scrap stuff in one little box. He was telling them how much stuff he delivered every day to a scrapping store on his old route.

Pam, forgot to say that I love the lamp! :rotfl:

Alan, I have a viewmaster and about 100 reels, thanks to one of the boy's aunts. Cool memories-glad you were able to save the books.

Have a great Saturday, everyone!

Suzanne

Hi y'all! I've been busy baking and have to go out tonight so forgive the lack of ketchup
(oh Elaine...check out Josh Groban's Awake...:faint: Love it!!!
LOL! I actually have had it since it was released last month. Just copied it for my dad to listen to. Love it too!

Amanda, prayers said for Ryan and family!

Paula, Suzanne, Pam, Alan & Sherry (and to everyone else who checks in... they just posted since I last looked ;)) mad love you all!

Hi all....not sure if I'm proud or embarassed to say this but I woke up at 1:15 - that's pm - not am....sheesh....now a headache - not sure if it was there all along and that's why I slept or it's there because I slept too long....

Jeffrey has been in and out this morning - went to the pheasant farm to put birds out - had a gerat time of course - he just left again to go pick up Alyssa's laptop from repair shop - she'll be excited when she gets home. The birthday boy has not come home yet - I never took him shopping yesterday - he decided instead of clothes he wants new "Tims" aka Timberland boots so I told him we'd go to the outlet first and if no luck we'd go to the mall - may go tomorrow as I don't have to work until tomorrow night - so that answers anyone's question of what I am doing for New Years eve!!

Enjoy your day Elaine - happy baking!!:flower3:

:thumbsup2 Suzanne - glad you had a good time with your friends - it's so nice when you can meet up and it feels like no time has passed - that's true friendship!!

Tara....:) glad to hear that the swelling is going down - hopefully the dryness won't last too long either and may I say I totally envy your scrapping devotion....

Doing :laundy: before working 4pm - 11pm tonite - so much for getting alot done today - oh well - there's always tomorrow - haha.

Jeffrey is back with the laptop - the connection had broken off at the motherboard - a common problem I guess... he's making pea soup now.....

Ugh...gotta work soon....more later...

:scared1: Yikes - saving out Yaya home from page 3.

Watched part ot "Ricky Bobby" - a very silly movie - I'm still undecided if I really like Will Farrell.

OK - please indulge me in a work vent - first of all today is my day off - I am working 4pm - 11pm tonite for a co-worker who called me Thursday night saying that she had a doctors note to be out for 3 days due to a neck sprain - that same employee sent e-mails to my personal email yesterday so I'm thinking neck can't be that bad......
Plus.....add to the equation - another employee - scheduled to work at 4pm today - calls me at 3:30 - says she has been in the hospital all night with food poisoning (keep in mind same employee was scheduled to work this morning 7am - 9am and never called) - so....there are only 2 of us on tonite - I am going to be really angry if I hear that Miss Food Poisoning still goes out for New Years Eve while I am working.....

OK - that's my vent - thanks for listening.....

Watched part ot "Ricky Bobby" - a very silly movie - I'm still undecided if I really like Will Farrell.

I saw the film on a flight from Cleveland to Orlando. Santa bought a copy for me for Christmas. I love the grandkids when they go off on their grandpa.

"I'm all hopped up on Mountain Dew"
"I'll come at you like a spider monkey"

Be sure to watch the closing credits. Some of the best laughs are the bloopers that they show while rolling the credits.

On a more serious note, prayers said for Ryan. I will keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers.
