Play nice? Now that's no fun at all Paula!

I agree, let's go get her... I say we attack with water balloons and water guns first :p

I'm sure y'all know by now that Pam and I have a healthy respect for each other's computer...
right? ;)

I noticed the new sig pic too this week and I love it!

RESPECT??? Who are you, Rodney Dangerfield?? :confused3
:rotfl:

Water balloons and guns, eh? I guess I will shuffle back the hallway and return my bb gun and cattle prod to the closet, then.....

:rotfl:

No, no Pam... keep those out... notice I said *start* with the water. It would make the prod work so much better with all that water to conduct electricity ;)

Afternoon!

The guys are watching some stupid movie, so I thought I'd pop in here for a bit. :teeth:

I'll keep my mouth shut on the computer talk. Don't want to be prodded or hit with water balloons. :teeth:

Paula, love the siggie pic. :) And yay for the part-time job for DH. That would be cool. Enjoy Happy Feet. It looks so cute. We watched Ice Age-The Meltdown last night. Very cute. :)

Elaine, welcome home.

Suzanne, glad the Lil Chef was successful. :)

Amanda, prayers for your nephew. Hope you feel better........safe travels.

Beth, that sounds like a good way to get in the holiday spirit. :)

Kimmar, sounds like a yummy dinner at your house. :teeth:

Hi Pam!! Cool gifts for your kids. Would you like to adopt me? ;) :teeth:

Not to easy to type while wearing my rain poncho.... :scared: - go ahead - try to get me with those water guns.... :rolleyes1

:yay: DH got the part time job - he is very excited - he will be working all day on Sunday starting tomorrow.

OK so dumb me wasn't paying attention when I looked at movie times and we would not have made it back from seeing Happy Feet in time for me to start working....so....we saw Flushed Away instead....Alyssa laughed out loud....several times!! :rotfl2:

:surfweb: OOps .....I'm supposed to be working....

I like it when people are all for evil ideas :p

Sherry, no worries, you are too nice to be prodded or hit with water balloons. Now someone like Alan on the other hand.... ;)

I am glad you enjoyed the movie that you did see, Paula. I hope you get to see Happy Feet soon too... I've heard that one is funny as well.

Football will be back on our TV in a few. Luis is very interested in that USC/Notre Dame game!

Hi Ya Yas!

Glad the reports of the holiday are pretty good. Sorry about nephew and prayers that his lung is better soon.

Amanda, I know you are already close or there now. Hope you are going to feel better for at least some of your trip.

Todd, I hope you don't catch it or the girls either.

Kimmar, what a feast.

Elaine, glad to see you made it ok.

Paula, I love your siggy pic. Good for the PT job and something he likes doing too!

Sherry, your siggy pic is cute

Beth, glad you got to rest up some.

Pam, you're so organized with all the perfect gifts. That's great that you've got it all together.

Suzanne, glad it all went well there too. Hope you're feeling better too.

We had the quiet Thanksgiving. Ted worked, came home and we had our dinner. Ted was so exhausted from the long hours he had to put in that it will take days to catch up. He's feeling better today.

Good Frosty Morning everyone!!

Yes - it's me - working again - Jeffrey had to be at his job at 7am this morning....

We watched Ice Age - The Meltdown last night - I had seen it in the theater but I still loved it.

Update on my computer situation - Alyssa is going to try and get her laptop fixed under warranty (she's had it for 2 years and it's dead - won't even turn on) - if she gets it fixed and Daniel still builds her one for Christmas I will buy hers and give it to Chris.

And because you were all so kind to give your opinions - Elaine and Pam you fiesty checks.... I'm thinking of a pay-as-you-go phone for Jeffrey and also maybe a hand held GPS....???

BIG NEWS :cool1: :thumbsup2  :cheer2: :dance3: ............
CHRISTOPHER HAD A DATE LAST NIGHT!!!! .....I was in bed when he came home - it was with an old girlfriend - can't wait to hear how it went....

 Hi Lily - too bad Ted had to work so many hours - glad he's feeling better.

:rotfl: Kimmar - nice likeness of me in my poncho...

:smooth: I see that Miss Elaine just logged into Yahoo - I'm guessing either she or I will be sneating....

Well - I'm here -working till 1:00.....then delivering leftover pie to the family.

Happy day everyone.

LOL, Paula, I turned my computer on and then took a shower... I see Yahoo was slow in auto logging me in :teeth:

Kimmar, love the pics! I am sure Paula will appreciate that present for Christmas ;)

Lily, I do hope that Ted will have some good time off soon. Working that hard is never fun :(

Paula, I love the handheld GPS idea! They can be so much fun! Especially with all the hunting they like to do, it would be a fun and maybe helpful toy to have out there (depending on how they hunt). Would make a comment on the phone, but I have no idea how the pay as you go phones work. A cell phone is always a good idea though!
Woo hoo on the date! Sometimes a good woman can be a great influence on a man ;)

I still haven't caught up yet here in a post, and I hope to today :rolleyes1

Morning!

Paula, yay for the job! And double yay for Chris's date. Sounds like some good gift ideas!!

Lily, hope Ted can rest soon. Glad to hear you still managed to have a nice T-day.

Hi Elaine!! We've been keeping our eye on these other games and scores, too. :bounce:

Today is church, then really not sure what after that. Might just come home and relax.

Junior goes back to afternoons starting tomorrow. :( I am so bummed. I was hoping he could at least keep days for the rest of the year. :(

Good Morning!!!! Sorry I have been MIA for a while. Lots going on here. Before Thanksgiving I made a TON of cookies. I forgot just how much I love to bake :thumbsup2 Then of course I had lots to give out and share with people and that was very nice :goodvibes

We were really struggling with being Barkoless, so we went out and got a puppy. We feel in love with her immediately Wednesday afternoon. With the holiday coming, we felt it best that we leave her at the petstore until Friday morning. We went and picker her up first thing! Boy was she cute. We named her Sophie. A little 2.4 pound white little fluff ball. When we picked her up, they said she had been sick..so we took her straight to our vet. She had been vomiting and had diareaha for 2 days. Our vet reccomended we take her to the free vet to have her made well, then bring her home. He said she seemed healthy otherwise, but just get her better, then enjoy and love on her. Well, poor little Sophie never made it home :sad1: They admitted her in the animal hospital to get some fluids in her as she was getting dehydrated. We had hoped to pick her up the next day...Saturday. Saturday morning the vet called and tld us that her blood work came back and she had very serious kidney failure and had a 10% chance...What would you like us to do? :furious: So again, I get to make the wonderful decision to put yet another puppy down. My track record latey for this kidn of thing really stinks. So we called the petstore and told them everything that had happend...they needed permission todo the kind thing, I gave it....Greg and I bawled like babies. Then later in the afternoon, the animal hospital calls me to ask me what I want to have done with Sophie? :furious: Well, I told them earlier they needed to do what they needed to do...told the pet store they needed to do what they needed to do...why are you asking me again? My hope was that by this time Sophie and Barkley had met up and were having a good old time....nit the case I guess. They forgot to tell me they needed my signature to put her down. Sorry folks, not going to do that...I had her for like 6 hours...the pet store can take care of that. Since I really did not want to go sign anything they made me tell 3 people, 3 differant times to put her down. I was just sick over the whole thing. Nothing like reopening that wound a few more times.

About the pet store...they have been really good about this. There really was now way for them to know just how sick she was. Even my vet gave her a clean bill of health minus the issues she was having. No fever, strong heartbeat...and all of that...mopey and starting to get dehydrated were most likely affects of being sick....and maybe stress as the pet store JUST got the puppies on Wednesday.

Part of the pet guarentee states that if you take the do to the free clinic that they use...the services are free. If you take the puppy elsewhere, they will pay 25% of the bill for her checkup. Well, we rang up a $100 bill at our vet....they paid the entire thing...even before they knew about what was to be....and they made sure they did everything to keep her comfortable when she was at the hospital. They were very good about that. We also spent about $100 on a crate, toys, a collar and leash....when we went to go and get our refund, they refunded EVERYTHING and said they wanted nothing back. The crate was ours for when we were ready for a new puppy. They were very nice.

So, now we are thinking we are really sad, but there is SUCH a huge void it iur lives and our hearts...we really NEED a puppy. So we go and take a look. We found a little westie boy....he is really cute. He has a deposit on him. Then we go back to the store where we got Sophie from and there is the cutest little Morki (Maltease and Yorki) you ever did see. (Sophie was a Maltese and Scotti mix. But she was all white! A maltease face with a scottie body and ears.) So we hold him....and boom  Of course, Greg's boss happens to be shopping and sees Greg with the puppy and says C'mon and off to the counter they go. She tells the clerk that this puppy is sold! Along the way the puppy finds a toy he likes...and we will take this too she says..... :cloud9: We did leave the puppy at the store as we have decided we will NOT be taking him home until they run some bloodwork on him before we take him and make sure he checks out healthwise. I am note getting attached again......So cross your fingers and say a prayer that everything checks out for him....if so, tomorrow we will have a puppy.

For those of you with kids, I have no clue how you ever named your children :rotfl: And to think they needed a first and middle name :teeth: When we were trying to name Sophie, we could not agree on anything. I told Greg I really wanted a girl puppy with her as I really thought she would be easy to name...ha! I was wrong, wrong, wrong! Now we get to go through this again with boy names. Not going there until we bring the little guy home though....

Sorry this had be an All About me Post...just feeling a little  and stressed these days. I need to go back and ketchup on all the goings ons....and if you think of any cute boy names for a little boy puppy...who looks like he should really be a she.....do let me know...and Mork is NOT an option even though he is a Morki.

Love to you all......

Oh, and before I forget...Amanda and Todd did arrive to the House of Mouse. The weather is lovely and were enjoying the Boardwalk and the pool. I think they had some plans for shopping too. Sounds like the weather was perfect...and Amanda is working on getting her voice back too.

Liz... :grouphug: I will get thinking on boy manes for you.....

Sherry - too bad about Juniors schedule - hope you enjoy your relaxing day!

:surfweb: back to work for me....

Quiet day in Ya Ya Land.

Oh Liz, I am so sorry about all the problems with Sophie. I really hope things work out with the new puppy. Hmmm, I'll have to think about some boy names. :teeth:
Thanks for the update on Todd & Amanda. :)

Paula, don't work too hard. ;)

Wow! Liz, you are having an unbelievable experience. I hope all turns out well and this little guy gets to hang out with you for a long time. Good luck with the name thing.

Glad that Todd and Amanda are there and enjoying the place and that Amanda is feeling better. Fl sunshine will do that.

Sherry, sorry about Junior going back to afternoons. Hope he will get the days back soon.

Paula, I think the GPS idea is a great one. I use one for logging in my steps. It is different than the one you would give, but I can't imagine playing without my toy for sure. I'm sure he will have fun with it.

I was sitting here thinking of calling my boss to ask for tomorrow off. We just got off the phone. She called me and is sick. So I'm in tomorrow and she's out. She sounded terrible; I feel bad for her.

Tomorrow will be busy, this weekend was interesting. I'm getting a new car. It is an orange Cobalt I won't be having the same problems as you are naming your pup Liz. I've got naming rights and have her named already. She will be called "Sweet Potato." I've already turned "Eggness" over to DS#2 since his car is on its last breath. While he is not thrilled to have Eggness (Cavalier-egg yolk yellow), he thinks the alternative is not appealing, i.e. bus system for which he must walk 2 miles to catch for the nearest pick up and only limited times. Lots of paper transfer and such. Tomorrow Ted will work on that by himself since I'll be at work holding things together there. Tomorrow evening Sweet Potato will be tucked into our garage.

Evening, all.

Back to the world of retail-yawn. After the past 8 months, it sure seems slow! :rotfl: Really, I am used to break neck pace all day at work, but here it's not like that-yet. One of my regulars from the meal prep stopped in yesterday, it was rather sweet.

Yikes, Liz, a lot has happened since I last spoke to you. I'm so sorry you lost Sophie, but Barko's got a playmate up there now. Honor that pup's english roots-Nigel sounds like a winner to me! If not, Niles, Graeme

Lily, congrats on the car, but I thought Cobalt was blue? Sorry about having to work tomorrow.

Paula, I had a tracphone for about a year and it was great. Perfect for emergencies and quick phone calls home while commuting. GPS sounds like the perfect thing for a hunter.

Glad I missed the water torture!

Lainey, you have some really evil thoughts there!

Sherry, hope the kids aren't too bad on you with having to get up after 5 days off!

Kimmar, nice poncho!

Well, I'm actually off to bed soon. Seems that I'll be working a lot of early shifts at this place-not sure how happy I am about that. I am NOT a fan of waking up before 8!

Suzanne

Morning all! Somehow I am still tired after last week. I just didn't sleep well at all in that bed at Luis' parents. Today I have to go to GFS and get some cat food. Cleaning needs to get done too, but I might do that tomorrow and get some more Christmas cards done tonight.

Sherry, sorry to hear that Junior is back to afternoons again. How often do they rotate them?

Liz, I am sorry to hear about the pup issues. I can't help with a name though... I am horrid at them unless I actually see a pic of the furbaby :) I hope that this one will stay healthy for years to come!!!

Paula, hope you get some time to relax after working so much!

Lily, enjoy your new car!! I hope you can make it through work okay while Ted is sorting out the paperwork.

Suzanne, yep, I'm not nice ;) And you had me smiling at the Cobalt comment :teeth:

Not very chatty here today I guess... I really need to get moving on getting those cards done as well as running errands... yuck!

Monrning Ya Yas!

Thought I'd pop in here before things get popping here.

Suzanne, sorry about those early hours. Keep remembering about the benefits…that might get ya out there. Yeah, that’s what I thought about cobalt, but she’s a sweet potato!

Elaine, yup, there’s no place like home to get the sleep that’s needed. Try to get some naps in if you must. I know it’s a sacrifice, but I’m sure you can manage. (While you may be at it, put me on that nap list then ok?)

Got a vet appointment for Missy late this p.m. She has maybe a bladder infection. Vet assistant said that we should try to "catch" a sample before we bring her in. Now that is not going to happen, but a site to imagine with DH chasing her around the yard with a teensy weensy something? to catch drips. Nope, not him. So we'll have to stress her out and have them figure it out at the office. I can’t wait to get the meds that should give her some relief whatever it is she’s got going on with her little self.

Happy Monday…

Morning!!

No baby today, so Junior and I may go out for lunch. :)

Suzanne, boo on early mornings.

Lily, yay on the new car. Hope the vet visit goes well.

Elaine, Junior got bumped. They don't have rotating shifts, but someone with more seniority bumped him, so he is back to afternoons. :rolleyes1

Pam, I hope your insurance improves and that your neighborhood has lots of public web cams :rolleyes1
I love the fact that you are giving the lamp to :lmao:

Paula, I'm glad the teachers are cooperating with you concerning Chris.

We don't do ANY black friday specials-what's on sale has been on sale. Now the day after Christmas? There will be a long line waiting to get in! (If I close, I may end up in that long line!)
So a few items may mysteriously disappear behind the counter until the end of the day? ;)

Wow, some of y'all did incredible ketchups while I was out so I'll just say ditto to all of them while I read about your holidays.

I hope that Tara is having a great time and that Amanad started feeling better.

That's nothing. You should have seen how many packages of rolling papers it took.

I'm too much of a creature of habit to want to switch... though I have almost been lured to Macs ini the past.
Does Luis know about this Mac Daddy you have been tempted by?

But Twinkles, I'm glad to see that you and Snookums got everything worked out.

Liz, I'm very sorry to hear about the puppy.

Lily, I hope your new car keeps you out of traffic yams.

We enjoyed a Thanksgiving visit with my family in South Alabama and are preparing the house so that I can get all the boxes of Christmas stuff from the attic at MIL's.
