Good Morning!!!! Sorry I have been MIA for a while. Lots going on here. Before Thanksgiving I made a TON of cookies. I forgot just how much I love to bake

Then of course I had lots to give out and share with people and that was very nice
We were really struggling with being Barkoless, so we went out and got a puppy. We feel in love with her immediately Wednesday afternoon. With the holiday coming, we felt it best that we leave her at the petstore until Friday morning. We went and picker her up first thing! Boy was she cute. We named her Sophie. A little 2.4 pound white little fluff ball. When we picked her up, they said she had been sick..so we took her straight to our vet. She had been vomiting and had diareaha for 2 days. Our vet reccomended we take her to the free vet to have her made well, then bring her home. He said she seemed healthy otherwise, but just get her better, then enjoy and love on her. Well, poor little Sophie never made it home

They admitted her in the animal hospital to get some fluids in her as she was getting dehydrated. We had hoped to pick her up the next day...Saturday. Saturday morning the vet called and tld us that her blood work came back and she had very serious kidney failure and had a 10% chance...What would you like us to do?

So again, I get to make the wonderful decision to put yet another puppy down. My track record latey for this kidn of thing really stinks. So we called the petstore and told them everything that had happend...they needed permission todo the kind thing, I gave it....Greg and I bawled like babies. Then later in the afternoon, the animal hospital calls me to ask me what I want to have done with Sophie?

Well, I told them earlier they needed to do what they needed to do...told the pet store they needed to do what they needed to do...why are you asking me again? My hope was that by this time Sophie and Barkley had met up and were having a good old time....nit the case I guess. They forgot to tell me they needed my signature to put her down. Sorry folks, not going to do that...I had her for like 6 hours...the pet store can take care of that. Since I really did not want to go sign anything they made me tell 3 people, 3 differant times to put her down. I was just sick over the whole thing. Nothing like reopening that wound a few more times.
About the pet store...they have been really good about this. There really was now way for them to know just how sick she was. Even my vet gave her a clean bill of health minus the issues she was having. No fever, strong heartbeat...and all of that...mopey and starting to get dehydrated were most likely affects of being sick....and maybe stress as the pet store JUST got the puppies on Wednesday.
Part of the pet guarentee states that if you take the do to the free clinic that they use...the services are free. If you take the puppy elsewhere, they will pay 25% of the bill for her checkup. Well, we rang up a $100 bill at our vet....they paid the entire thing...even before they knew about what was to be....and they made sure they did everything to keep her comfortable when she was at the hospital. They were very good about that. We also spent about $100 on a crate, toys, a collar and leash....when we went to go and get our refund, they refunded EVERYTHING and said they wanted nothing back. The crate was ours for when we were ready for a new puppy. They were very nice.
So, now we are thinking we are really sad, but there is SUCH a huge void it iur lives and our hearts...we really NEED a puppy. So we go and take a look. We found a little westie boy....he is really cute. He has a deposit on him. Then we go back to the store where we got Sophie from and there is the cutest little Morki (Maltease and Yorki) you ever did see. (Sophie was a Maltese and Scotti mix. But she was all white! A maltease face with a scottie body and ears.) So we hold him....and boom

Of course, Greg's boss happens to be shopping and sees Greg with the puppy and says C'mon and off to the counter they go. She tells the clerk that this puppy is sold! Along the way the puppy finds a toy he likes...and we will take this too she says.....

We did leave the puppy at the store as we have decided we will NOT be taking him home until they run some bloodwork on him before we take him and make sure he checks out healthwise. I am note getting attached again......So cross your fingers and say a prayer that everything checks out for him....if so, tomorrow we will have a puppy.
For those of you with kids, I have no clue how you ever named your children

And to think they needed a first and middle name

When we were trying to name Sophie, we could not agree on anything. I told Greg I really wanted a girl puppy with her as I really thought she would be easy to name...ha! I was wrong, wrong, wrong! Now we get to go through this again with boy names. Not going there until we bring the little guy home though....
Sorry this had be an All About me Post...just feeling a little

and stressed these days. I need to go back and ketchup on all the goings ons....and if you think of any cute boy names for a little boy puppy...who looks like he should really be a she.....do let me know...and Mork is NOT an option even though he is a Morki.
Love to you all......
Oh, and before I forget...Amanda and Todd did arrive to the House of Mouse. The weather is lovely and were enjoying the Boardwalk and the pool. I think they had some plans for shopping too. Sounds like the weather was perfect...and Amanda is working on getting her voice back too.
