Good morning all - a quick hello before I'm off to do errands.

I hve not received any updates from my co-worker - I do hope the surgery went well.

My stress/anxiety level is still very high....I did go out for a while yesterday - - OK - I admit it - I had to "make myself" leave the house. Went to the mall - bought a A.E. hoodie for my godson's birthday - jeans at Aeropostale for Alyssa (that was a search - evidently everyone on the planet ** excepting myself ** wears size 7/8 long jeans...sheesh - I must have looked thru every single pair....took advantage of the extra 15% off at JC Penney and bought myself a pair of black brushed cords and a periwinkle blue shirt - also bought new sheets....on to Target went in for a smoke detector battery and came out with no battery - shampoo and Little Mermaid DVD...last stop Marshalls where I must have tried on 25 pairs of ankle boots and could not make a decision - .... got a sandwich at Subway and went home.....

This morning I am going to Cingular to see if I can block all of the features off of Chris phone.....wish me luck.....

John - enjoy the craft show and mini-meet!!
Amanda - so sorry that the managers are back ...reality sets in...
Sherry - enjoy the game....layers - that's the key!!

 Tara, Alan, Kimmar, Elaine, Beth....

Sorry it was cold Amanda. After coming home to vehicle woes, it will be a while before we plan another one also.

TC enjoy the craft show/meet. Needless to say, pics are always appreciated. ::yes::

The girls are out of school today for a teacher workday and Monday for Columbus Day. They are going to MIL's this afternoon to celebrate Rebecca's grandmother's birthday.

And it was 16 years ago today that I took advantage of Rebecca's temporary lapse of judgment and married the love of my life.

:thumbsup2  :cheer2: :dance3: :flower3: party: :butterfly :flower2:

HAPPY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ALAN AND REBECCA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone! Sleepy here today... must be trying to hibernate since it is so cold!

Woo hoo Lily for 237 days!!!! I'll probably be able to do a better countdown since that's just 7 days after PotC3 is released :p

Alan, you are a cutie, Gwenie said thanks for the b-day wishes :) Great pics too... but... I saw you and Daniel were matching... forget to tell us something? :duck:

Paula, keep hanging in there. Things will look up soon! And thinking good thoughts for your co-worker. I hope she can heal up quickly!

Bethie, hope you enjoyed sleeping in yesterday. And very glad to hear that the storm went north of you. That was not a good storm at all. Poor kitties were freaked out. Lots of debris everywhere still.
Woo hoo on 2500 posts!

Sherry, boo hiss on no good sale there. That is totally shocking to me. WOo hoo on $10 off again. Good luck at the game tonight it is really cold here as well!

Amanda, enjoy the last day of freedom. Sorry that it was so cold for your picnic too.

John, would love to join you, but that is the day we are bringing home our newest member of the family :) Plus it is just a bit far ;)

Tara, hope you find good plans for tomorrow. Sorry the weather is spoiling some

Happy Anniversary Alan and Rebecca

Room booked (and paid for) in Hagerstown, Maryland for tomorrow night. :cheer2:

I guess that means we are going. :moped:

Happy Anniversary, Alan and Rebecca! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Allergy headaches here, ugh!

John, enjoy your trip to NoVA...leaves should be very nice right now! I never heard of that craft show, used to go to one nearby in Winchester every year.

Paula, good luck on blocking the phone. Those other charges can rack up quick. If not that, get one of those 'pay as you go' plans. Cingular has them now-I started with a TracPhone because I didn't think I'd use the phone very much.

Amanda, bummer on the bosses coming back.

Tara, safe trip up to Bethie's tomorrow.

Sherry, sounds like you should stop and pick up some thermals for that homecoming! Brrrrr.

Kimmar, didn't your momma tell you that if you make faces like that your face will get stuck that way?

Suzanne

John sneated!

You're staying where I used to live. Lots more there than when I moved there, though. Safe travels.

You mean that hadn't already happened? :lmao:

LY/MI Kimmar ;)

Paula, I'm sorry about the charges. Good luck getting features blocked. My brother still uses Trac-phones and just picks up new cards as needed.

The Waterford Foundation

Sounds like a neat craft fair. Been going on for 63 years, so they must be doing something right. We are actually going to look for ideas to breathe some new life into Yankee Peddler.

Alan - I will be taking lots of photos and I promise to post them. Eventually.

Got a few of my errands done. Nephew is napping now, so thought I'd pop on for a few. :teeth:

Oh, we'll definitely be wearing layers. And big hoodies, too. :teeth:

Amanda, enjoy your last day of freedom. Glad the hike helped warm you up yesterday.

Paula, good luck at Cingular.

Happy Anniversary, Alan & Rebecca. :)

Elaine, I was surprised there was no good sale, too.

Tara, enjoy your day tomorrow, no matter what you do.

John, have fun at the craft show.

Suzanne, hope the headaches go away soon.

Cool link. One of my CM's way back when taught at the school there-it's a very pricey area and VERY pretty. Especially this time of year. Hope you get lots of good ideas.

Suzanne

Better get this sucker bumped up to page 1... :thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary Alan!

Elaine--:duck:

Darn headache won't go away. Off to work in a half hour, hope it goes away soon.

We applied for SSDI for Neil back in August. I returned from vacation to find a letter from the state that they hadn't received info from his pediatrician's office-were told that he hadn't been a patient there. :confused3 He was seen by their doctors from the moment he was born until we moved. Called the office and found out they'd converted their records system right after we moved and whoever took the initial request hadn't bothered to look in the archives for him. :furious:

I get another letter today-they've got those records, but they don't have for the three Maryland psychiatrists. Oy. I've been leaving messages left and right. The hardest part is probably Children's Hospital-the doctor he saw is no longer there, and the place is HUGE. The woman in records was a doll, though and told me to have the examiner call her directly.

Done with my venting-I just want this done!

I think I'm going to check the BG hours for tomorrow, I need a few coaster rides to make things better.

Suzanne

Alan you are so wrong!

John, I do hope you have fun at the craft fair. I hope you run into some great ideas to help out the YP for next year! Though, can y'all try to do it during a time when OSU isn't playing :rotfl:

The cell phone talk reminds me of the new Disney Mobile commercials. Maybe something like that would work :teeth:

Sherry, I wonder if they will have a grand opening sale later there. I know all of our Kohl's have those here (and it seems quite often).

Todd :duck:

Suzanne good luck with everything. I am so sorry that you have to go through all that hassel because some one didn't bother to look hard enough before. I hope it all gets resolved soon.

Suzanne, sorry you have to go through so much hassle.

Hey Todd!

Went to Ponderosa for lunch. :) Gonna get ready to head to the game in a bit. Gotta get there early as it will be packed, and I believe they are crowning the queen and king before the game. At least that is what DS said. :confused3

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE BAMAS!! :rainbow: :love2:

Paula - you should be able to block features on the phone. :thumbsup2

Suzanne - I know this sounds really, really silly -- BUT -- try Head On for your headache, it really works!

Have fun at the game, Sherry! Our school's homecoming is next week. DS has to drive some of the Court members in his Mustang during the game/crowning.

TC - have fun at the Fair/Festival. You should see some nice Fall Foliage on the drive down. It's really pretty down around there with the mountains.

Elaine - I'm ready for that road trip whenever you are -- just bought an ''06 Pontiac G6 Coupe yesterday!! :woohoo:

Where's the absolutely worn out emotionally icon???

I've told you all that I define my days by which kids have fits, well today was the mother of all fits.

This one child (AC) has to be walked to the clinic because he disrupts the clinic while in there for 30 secs, so I walk all the goons to lunch and then walk AC to the clinic for his noon meds.

So on the way to the clinic he begins arguing with me about scuffing up the floor. I tell him to just stop talking and all will be good. He continues to argue. I tell him to stop arguing and be quiet. He refused. So i said, "Fine, you can have lunch with me. Lunch detention today." He starts screaming that he doesn't want to and that he needs another chance and that I have to give him another chance and how he HAS to eat with his friends and last time he had lunch detention with me he barfed :lmao: (didn't know I was that distasteful of a date!!)

Anyway, we get to the door of the clinic where I stop him and refuse to let him go in there until he calms down. At which point he begins to scream louder and slam his planner and lunch box into the wall and then turning to glare at me and give a threatening look like I was next (tho...i have to say I never felt like I was in any danger). His screaming brought one of our security assistants running and he tried to calm the kid down. That didn't work and when the kid appeared to lunge towards me the security assistant stepped between us. Finally since it was escalating to the point that he sensed danger, the security guy called our Resource Police Officer.

the officer came, the kid tried to walk away. The officer tried to stop him and when the kid was resisting him, and screaming about being tortured and wanting to get his lunch, the officer put him on the wall to calm him down. Then the kid "took an aggresive stance" and lunged at the officer and John took whipped that kid around and pulled his arm behind him and cuffed him. The kid was arrested for disorderly conduct (and lucky he didn't get it for assaulting a poice officer). He was then taken down to the officer's office where the kid screamed so practically the whole school could hear him. John only left the cuffs on until AC was calmed enough that he didn't seem to be a danger to himself or anyone else. I had to call the dad and tell him that his kid was under arrest and that dad needed to come get him.

I was fine up to this point. But when I spoke to my AP, she said that since she hadn't been notified...there was another AP around at the time, and that since I didn't have a behavioral plan in place for him yet (why he didn't have one at the elementary school is beyond me) he would be returning to school on Monday!! :furious:

She didn't even give him a couple of days of OSS, just the half a day for today and then he can come back. Basically she made it sound like it's my fault that she couldn't give him more than this.

Now you may be thinking that the behavioral plan would have prevented this but I can tell you that it doesn't prevent it. It is supposed to come up with ways for the kid to not get upset and do these things and then it gives them up to 10 additional OSS days before you can kick them out of school. So he gets at least 20 suspension days before we can put him in a new placement. To say that I was irked would be a serious understatement.

Anyway, with that rant over I think I'll go to bed. Not sure where we will end up tomorrow but we're off for fun.

Oh and before I jet...Happy Anniversary AA and Mrs. AA!!!!!
