hi gang,

first day back and I couldn't sleep last night and then Ethan was up 1/2 the night (he has apparently developed a cold) and so I got very little sleep last night. The work day was another useless reason to have us in the halls of the school.

So far no one at school is pregnant (as far as we know!) this is a very "productive" school . Did find out that one of our speds has breast cancer and had to have a complete mastectomy so we are hoping that things are going to get better for her.

I found out that out of my 20 kids, 2 have already withdrawn and two are labeled Mentally Retarded but they apparently have better scores than that so they are being placed in an LD class. One of the moms came to school today to meet with the AP and I found out that she is a little nervous that her child is going into a higher academic area. So I'll have to do some serious mom coddeling to make her comfortable in this situation.

On the homefront mom did something she thought my db would prefer and turned out he was thoroughly pissed and wouldn't even speak to me last night ( what did I have to do with it? ) and I told mom when I got home and so she was upset. So she called him today and they had a long angry/sad but finally peaceful conversation. UGH!! Way too much drama in my house and i don't do drama! Hopefully, they can get things worked out and be okay!

I can't believe that for the last couple of weeks we've had maybe 10 posts a day, I'm gone for a day and everyone comes out to play! I had two and 1/2 pages to ketchup on!

So let's see what I can remember:
Nope can't come to Clevland...or was it Cinncinati? Wait it was the INDY 500...oh heck...where ever it is I can't come
cool hourglass...I should have gotten an ingeering degree so I could do fun things like that!! (duh..I just realized I spelled it wrong...engineering..please excuse my dumb butt!)

Hi y'all! I'm sure by now you know how busy I am... I did get the first coat done so I only have one to do tomorrow. And it is the easier one, so I am not too upset with that.

I decided to be lazy and toss the roller/brushes. I just am not in the mood to clean that all up

I am finally heading to bed. I played on the cb for a bit and then Ethan decided to wake up a few times and then stay up for an hour or so. He is finally back in bed but not asleep but I can at least go to bed myself!

Good morning, all! Woke up with a splitting headache cuz I forgot to take my allergy med when I got home from work last night. Feeling decidely sluggish, so I'm really glad I got the laundry done yesterday! Going to grab a shower and finish up a sample layout I started for the store. I am eternally grateful to the person who taught me how to google!! They're calling me "the Google Queen" at work cuz I always seem to be able to find just the right pix for all their samples

Hi y'all! Just finished painting the room. I think it looks good enough But boy, having taller ceilings really does add time to painting. Mostly because I cannot even stand on a chair and reach... I had to use a ladder of Luis' (one of those cool folding ones so I didn't have to prop it against a wall) and still had to step on the third rung so I didn't have to totally reach. I think when we do the kitchen, Luis will devinitely be helping

I think I'm going to shower and go out for a while. I'll be back later to ketchup

Busy day at work, but we were so well prepared for it that my assistant told me to skedaddle. Woohoo!

Lainey, I need a ladder for this living room. Cathedral ceilings are nice, but trying to reach up to 14 feet when you're 5'3" is a challenge! Suppose I'll finish all the 'short' rooms first.

Bethie, part of me would let my wacky side through and use all goofy pictures for the samples. BTW, I've actually started using my scrapping cache-for work, lol!

Tara, you didn't get much sleep, did you? Now that they announced Griffon, I need to figure out when we're meeting my sis for a Va Bch/Williamsburg trip next year. So we may be in your neck of the woods then.

Kimmar, I take it you're busy writing that report, right?

Chinese for dinner tonight. Kevin smelled dinner cooking last night and was rather disappointed that it wasn't dumplings (it was Asian Pork). We promised dumplings tonight.

Just wanted to pop in and say a quick hi!
Just stayed home and relaxed today. Well, I did do laundry, but that's about it.
A friend is here hanging out now so we will probably watch a movie sometime tonight.

gawd am I tired...between not getting any sleep and then the work i did aroudn the house I'm pooped. Elaine inspired me to get busy again...so I got the kick plates all installed!! only a few little boo boos on the wood cutting (apparently my tape measure has two different counters on them...one for total inches and one for foot and inches and I saw that it said 50 1/2 inches but there was a 2 above the 50 (4ft 2inches) so i promptly went out and cut 25 1/2 inches ********* ) the rest of the boo boos were minor! But I still have all 10 fingers (well 8 fingers and 2 thumbs!) so it was a good day.

I also fixed a spot in the floor that needed to be cleaned up and have a new piece of vinyl put down.

Mom went to Chris and Beth's for dinner and to spend time with just them. I hope that smoothed things out a bit for them. I took the boys to Golden Corral (I sure as heck wasn't cooking! ) and then we went to WalMart. I also put gas in my car for $2.53 a gallon

At walmart I picked out a small rug to put under my desk in my classroom and got the new paint for the kitchen...the time i got a quart to try before i bought a whole gallon. The guy mixed it wrong the first time and instead of being a bright green it was completely blue with a hint of green (he has to mix by hand they don't have the cool machines like Lowes does!). So he had to make it again. This time it worked. I've already put it on in our test spots and it is *really* bright green but i think it will look good. Probably no one else will like it because it is so bright but heck, they don't live here

Now a question for all my techno geek friends....I was looking at getting another 512 sd card for my camera to have for Disney in Nov. I found one that had the card and then this little thing called a card reader. it said it worked just like a jump drive but I couldn't figure out how it worked. Do you attach it to your camera and download the information to the card reader or does it attach to your computer after you have downloaded the pictures? I was going to buy it but decided I better figure out if it was something that I could actually use or not.

Gonna go put on my bed time sweat pants and t-shirt and then come back and play on the 'puter so if anyone is up I'll be looking out for you!!

Tara, do you have an example of what you are talking about (pic wise)? I imagine it is a teeny card reader though that you can plug into a USB port. If it is that, you have your SD card with all the pics on it from your camera, you take it out and put it in the little reader and plug that into your computer USB port. Now it will look like you have an additional drive (C: drive is your hard drive, D or E: drive CD/DVD ROM, F: drive would be this reader for example) You can look at your pics right from there on your computer. To put them on your actual computer (they stay on teh card until you delete them) you just copy and paste like you would any other file.

Tara, I've got a similar card reader. I had to buy it when my proprietary cable to hook the camera into the laptop disappeared out of my luggage (the one and only time the TSA inspected my luggage).

You plug the card reader into the usb plug on your computer and it recognizes the hardware. then you follow your prompts to save the pictures from the card on your computer. I hate that I now have to take the card out of camera, but the reader is great.
