KImmar, that could be a massive issue for me when I fly in Sept & Oct... really puts a crimp in my travel. The issue of contacts is a huge one for me though... not sure how I will handle it w/o saline solution in my purse

Morning all! I'm feeling pretty refreshed. I'd stayed up too late last night, so I went back to bed this morning after gettting the younguns off to school.

Thanks for the comments on my avatar. I'd posted on a thread a few weeks ago about 'favorite disney commercial' and a couple of the posters jumped on how my avatar was nasty (nice, huh?). Figured it was time for a change.

Kimmar, with the way all the reports are, perhaps you should bring all their stuff! Safe travels to them-and to you.

Was that Lily Vespa-ing by? "twohundred ninety something days to go, two hundred ninety something days to go, then she'll be gone..."

Lainey, I'm really hoping this thing is a temporary measure. If it's not, it's going to get rather interesting. From what I understand, the fluids cannot go into carry ons, but can go into checked luggage. So much for bringing beverages on the plane to prevent dehydration!

That said, if this does continue for any length of time, anyone is headiing to WDW without having transportation, please don't hesitate to call me. I'll be happy to get your neccessary liquid items and deliver them to you. It's a great way for me to get over there and see the sistahs and bothas.

Suzanne, that's mighty sisterly of ya! Thanks for the offer. I'm hoping too by the time we get there it will be no big deal any longer. I don't like it. Always take water here and at work the discussion involved well, you can get it in the airports or on the plane. Yes, but I don't do drinking fountains, and I've been stranded in an airport w/o food or water. Oh I love that they are on it b4 it bacame "explosive." I am not complianing about the system, just those creating the cause.

Elaine, I've got the vision of the Batman with the Joker movie. Where the news casters were sans makeup. I'm thinking that plane travelers will be sans a lot if this continues.

Hi y'all! Been getting lots of server busy errors today. I went to get oil changed and tires rotated and couldn't get on there. Well I read up, but I couldn't reply

LOL, Suzanne, I couldn't figure out the Vespa thing at first!! Awfully sweet of you for offering to get things for us. I think in Oct with the car and having to check bags (thanks to my aunt) we'll be okay. Hopefully they will relax by then.

I'm with you and Lily though... over the top not necessary IMO. I just keep rolling my eyes at everything there. I do hope, Lily, that they will allow you to bring drinks and all that on the flight. That's an issue I have as well.

If they keep being this persnickity, we won't be able to do it at all.

Sadly, I fear that at this point, once they say something, they won't allow it back That's the American way with fear it seems...

anyway...I think I've figured out how we can stop terrorists plots....we've tried banning the guns, knives, shoes, liquids....and yet we still see terrorist plots....I say we ban.....drum roll please...PEOPLE!!! People are the ones who are causing these problems so I think we will have much less problem with terrorists if people were just banned from flying!!!

Anyway, I'm going bowling in a bit...have to return some over due library books first and then I can go bowl. Ya'll have a good afternoon!!

Hey gang!!

I did okay at bowling tonight....even tho I had to use a house ball and house shoes!! The guy on our team saw me getting the house shoes and asked where my bag was....I answered him in my PMS growl "my bag is in my car which is stuck in the freaking Town Center where it has been since the fire this afternoon!" He went on to make another comment about me needing a house ball too...(first let me say he was not asking casually....he was saying this in his dissapointed/peeved voice because if I did poorly it would push us further out of first place) so I spun around and hollered "MY CAR IS STUCK IN THE TOWN CENTER WITH MY BALL IN IT!!!! I'VE HAD A LONGDAY SO DON'T GIVE ME ANY OF YOUR S@#T!!!!!" He backed down real quick!! Not tomention that no one came near me during bowling, cute outfit or not because they were afraid of me!!!!

My car is covered with soot and I got a great picture with my phone of a cob web! The cob web is black with all of the soot on it! It was pretty cool!!

Okay, cramps, head hurts, and lousy attitude....i'm heading to bed soon!!

Got them July 31st..
Hope to redo some things around the house..Drop our home phone, satellite & go with cell phones, cable & cable internet....

Morning all! Heading off to the store soon. Of coure while I was out yesterday, I totally blanked on getting a couple of things!

Sherry, they should be able to bring their sippy cups, but they will have to fill them with water on board. Though I was reading and I guess juice in a box is still allowable. So are contact lense cases with solution in them (woo hoo for me).

Tara I hope you are feeling better today! And I know you must have looked all cute in your non-mom outfit! You ought to post that pic of the spider web too. Sounds cool!

Good luck with all the stuff you are redoing in the house. We are considering moving to cable, but w/o the battery back up we are waiting. I think it is almost the same price for us as well
Yuck on the braces. I never had them before, but watched my siblings get stuff. Wasn't fun!

I'm better today thank you very much!! I got a good night's sleep and the morning hasn't been too bad.

We are headed to pick up my car in a few minutes and then to get it washed. From there we are going to try, for the 3rd time, to go to BJ's to get diapers!!!

Decided to definitely walk the 1.5 miles to the store and back. It was kind of nice to do that. I met my new next door neighbors along the way. After over a year of the house being empty, they finally were able to move in. Apparently it was a sherrif auction since the man had killed himself and had no family of his own.

Sherry, tell them also, that the juice box may not make it on the plane. I've heard some places will allow it and others will not. I think it all depends on how they are feeling. I personally have an appt with my eye doc to make sure I can have written permission to get my eye drops/saline solution on the plane with me. I needed my eyes rechecked anyway

Tara, good luck with the car! I hope you get it all smoothly and get it cleaned up quickly!

I have to scrub in my tub and then I will start tearing down the room for patching plaster. I've done all I feel like doing so it is time to get moving on that. I did have to wait due to the heat and finding out if my friend was visiting or not. So since she isn't I can have the front room torn up for a while and not care.
