Hey, that sounds familiar! I had two bad discs also. Between the long scar and 4 small scars on my back, you could play connect the dots. Did you have a fusion done? What levels? Well, if you don't mind me asking (or you could PM me. Or you don't have to tell me. Either way is cool by me. ). LOL! DW polices me b/c she doesn't want me to injure the discs above the fused ones, which would mean more surgery down the road. But she's not going on this trip....

Boy, with these attempts to boost post counts, we'll be moving to a new thread sooner rather than later!

YA'LL were super duper mothy last night and today. No time for a proper ketchup, but I did want you all to see This Thread of Twinmom7's. It is an excerpt of a letter from 'her' (and our) Marine. This is the stellar young man our care packages are going to.

Just wanted to share, because the letter combined with the picture of him and his baby sister literally reduced me to tears at my desk.

Jay I had surgery in January 1996 for herniated discs at L4 and L5. They just removed the bulging discs. I was suppose to spend the night in the hospital but I am one stubborn Ya Ya and came home the same day. Of course I cried getting into the car, yelled at DH for hitting every bump on the road on the ride home, and cried all the way up the steps to my bedroom. But boy it did feel good to be in my own bed. And when I needed assistance to go to the bathroom and DH was a little slow, I could let him know what I thought about his speed and not feel guilty about yelling at a nurse. I was lucky I didn't have fusion. Heard that is one rough surgery.

I stayed away from roller coasters for over a year. I did however give up bowling and tennis(of course I never played tennis).
