Who "presents" the DIScars and is there a special thread. I have been on the boards for 1 1/2 yrs. and never heard of them. (so what else is new....? )

Perky Jodie....go right ahead and be perky. I was very perky myself yesterday, and pretty much again today. Sunny here and supposed to be around 68 today. I'm getting into this Spring Zing feeling!

I sure will give him a hug from Aunt Jodie!!!! Now he says his ear hurts a lot. I am sooooooo glad I kept him home today. Im not sure if the eye is from pinkeye or from a cold but best to be on the safe side and keep him home. Poor thing feels miserable.

Yep Jodie I have had pinkeye before and it is NASTY. I got a bad case of it when we came back from Disney one time because of all the smoke from the fires up there. I must have been rubbing my eyes and introduced an infection.

Poor Caitlin!!!! Give her a hug from Aunt Karen for me!!

I just called the number for Rev Tim for our Vow Renewals and HE picked up the phone!!! I was shocked!!! He said he was at Leu Gardens as we spoke and would check to make sure the venue was open for the time and date we wanted and he would call me back early this afternoon!!! I am soooooooo excited I cant stand myself!!! ROFL

Marilyn I am doing GREAT today and Im PERKY too!!!! I am sooooo psyched about my weight loss and setting up the vow renewal. I may never come down from Cloud Nine!!!!

Marilyn I think this is the first year they have done the DIScars. They are/were presented by different people in different categories. GP won for most huggable. They might have started it this year to take our minds off other nasty things that are going on right now.

Oh now this is just too neat!!! I met a lady on the CB whos anniversary is the same day and year as mine and we will both be at CBR on the 3rd of July!!! We are getting together for a drink and a toast at the Pool Bar that night!!!! Toooooo Kewl!!! We move over to the Poly the next day!

*Kim hangs head in shame.* It's not my fault Marilyn!! My Nushie distracted me from my duties again. He.... sigh.... see.... he suggested that we go to the fallooney for a little picnic... and....well.... next thing I knew... I just forgot all about those nasty ole YaYa finances.

Sooooo... we're talking about honeymoons? Ahhh... that would be a relaxing week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Right on the beach. Did a little snorkeling, toured the town, and even did some bodyboarding. The last day we were there, I was out in the water w/ a few other people (DW was on the beach) and, no kidding, a big stingray jumps out of the water less than 15 feet from us. Not just a little sploosh or anything. He jumped about 3-4 feet out of the water. Kinda cool to see. Kinda spooks you at first, but if you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone.


Hi Kimmy! I hope you remember what you did to hurt your neck. Especially if it was a good thing!

Ya know, if we have to *buy* a DIScar, I dunno if I want it. That just means the deepest wallet wins. And I'm not even close to winning that contest.

Nancy, I was thinking of asking the local pet stores and/or vets if they could donate some doggie booties for the soldiers. Think it would work? Or have you already tried that? Hope DS has a GREAT time on his trip!

Oooooo, LOVE the honeymoon stories!! Mine included the wedding--we ran off to Vegas on one of those last minute travel deals, got married and had a 2 day honeymoon there!! Then, about 5 months later, we took another honeymoon for a week in WDW when we bought into DVC (thought it made a nice wedding present)!!

Our vet doesn't carry the dog booties.
I haven't asked the pet store....only one I looked at had the good really heavy ones.
I did find some online, I'm checking into.

Go for it....with 6 dogs, I think they can use all the booties they can get.
I wonder how long a pair lasts in that terrain..............

We are back from the doctors. Patrick has sinusitis and pinkeye in one eye. We have to treat both. Boy wasnt that a joy getting the drops into his eyes. I had to half hog tie him.

HE GOT THE JOB!!!!!!! HE GOT THE JOB!!!!! I am soooooooo happy and soooooooooo happy for dh!!!!! Comes with quite a heafty raise too 1.21 an hour more than he is making right now and he just got a raise so its more like 1.81 more than we were used to getting!!!!! He got his foot in the door of management finally!!!! He can only go up in pay from here because there is no pay cap like his old job had.

Someone pop the bubbly please!!! I am so happy today I could just burst!!!!

Sorry about Patrick. Want a nursey tip to make those eyedrops easier? Have Patrick lie down on the sofa with his head tilted back a little, then ask him to close his eyes. Put the drops right in the corner of each eye (closest to the nose) and then ask him to open his eye. The drops slide right in and no need to sit on the kid!!! Works on my two...hope it works for him!!

Whoooeee....this Dream is LOVIN how the Ya Ya champagne has been flowin lately!!!!!

Jodie thank you sooooooooo much for that tip!!! I will try it the next time I have to put drops in. It was horrible trying to get them in awhile ago. I just told him how we were going to put the drops in next time and he said OKAY!!! Hopefully this way it will go better.
