Only 73 degrees today, raining later and all week long here. Fine by me. I hate Summer. I finally have a room air conditioner, but I'm 'not allowed' to use it during the day when it's hottest. So I will spend the next three months sweating up here.

It's the first day of summer and I'm already waiting for it to be fall, especially for Halloween time. Summer is the worst season weather wise.

Been cool here in Massachusetts too. We have our pool open since Memorial Day weekend and have yet to swim in it. The next 10 days or so aren’t looking to great either. Chance of rain almost every day. I know it is better than a drought, but summer is short enough here.

I agree. We had that little taste of pool weather...and then plunged back into cool weather.

I love summer. In my youth I used to go to Stonehenge for the summer solstice. In those days you could sit on the stones.

Our weather has been hotter than usual since mid May (temperatures have been like our August temperature) and our state (Mississippi) has had a ridiculous number of tornadoes and severe weather, including an EF2 30 miles away the other day that tore up the downtown area and homes there in just 6 minutes.

Weirdly, we were in a thunderstorm the other day and the temperature was still over 90 degrees.

My car thermometer said 100 at 4 pm today.

What are you complaining about, Red? This is central Alberta over the past few days. And even they are looking on the bright side - at least the late-spring snow has finally put a damper on the raging wildfires.

It seems to rain every weekend here in MA. Granted, we needed it north of Boston after last year's drought, but I'd love to have a warm, sunny day to enjoy.

I know! I woke up to 53 degrees here this morning in Central Mass. That is NOT summer! And the long range is the same for weeks. Yuck.
