If you had a welcome party or dinner party did you also give your guests gift bags?

I was originally thinking of doing simple gift bags to be delivered to guest as they checked in...then my second idea was to have a small party in our room. We will have a one bedroom villa and thought maybe we could have a small very casual dinner type thing there like a party and then hand out a goodie bag like a birthday party. Now my third, lastest, and maybe final idea will be to have dinner at California Grill and then we could give everyone a small gift there (which I haven't come up with yet).

What did you do to welcome your gang to Orlando?

Oh btw, it's and Escape Ceremony so no rehearsal/rehearsal dinner...

We had our bags available for our guests as they checked in since we figured we wouldn't be able to personally greet everyone as they arrived, so it was a great way to thank them right away for making the trip. There were some guests we didn't even get to see the first day they were there, so I'm glad they got their bags right away.

I think you could still do a small party in your room and provide some sort of favors. We did a rehearsal dinner and I followed a pirate them and gave everyone a small bag with pirate-themed items. Even if you aren't having a rehearsal dinner you could still do a similar thing for your in-room party.

We have invited everyone to an OPTIONAL "Welcome Dinner" on Friday @ Raglan Road-my folks will not be attending as they will be at EPCOT all day.

Saturday night we will be hosting a dinner party for our guests as a "Thank You" @ Wolfgang Puck's DTD.

I went to www.disneyfloralist.com and spoke with Rosie about "Welcome" gifts-we have robes for some guests, Mickey's Ears to You-Halloween, Family Snack Pak and a "From Mickey & Minnie with Love" for my Best Friend. The price and ease of going thru Rosie was perfect for us!

We will be handing out a Halloween Popcorn container filled with goodies, as we see our guests-my other best friend came up with this idea and bought all the items and put them together for us! How great is that?!!!

Check out www.disneystore.com for other gift ideas like shirts, watches and pins. You can get them very inexpensive and alot of times with free shipping. There is a Disney Outlet store at the Mall near DisneyWorld-on Vineland-if you have time, which has great stuff and good prices also. The Wal mart on 535 also has alot of inexpensive Disney stuff. Again, it depends on time and transporttion.
Good luck-whatever you do your guests will love it!!!;)

What I did for my guests was I had a Welcome bag all made up and waiting for them at check in when they arrived at their hotel. It was nice to see everyone's face light up when they received their bags.

Also, we had a Welcome dinner at Ohana where we purchased individual gifts for each person that made the trip for us. Granted we only had 11 guests so this was doable. We gave gifts like, Chamilia Charm bracelets with charms, personalized fun wine glasses, I actually had a hard time thinking about what to give my dad, but then I finally came up with the idea. He is a huge Harley Davidson fan, he has a bike...so I bought him stock in the company and framed his stock certificate...he loved it! Just do something to know that you are thankful and happy they made it to your wedding. It doesn't have to cost a lot.
