What are they like? Is it worth it to go to one, or is it more them trying to sell you more points?

It is definitely not a hard sell. It's corny fun in the form of a game show like Jeopardy, ( not serious, the points can be given at the announcer's will). Some people win very nice prizes. Everyone gets 1 treat and a drink and a token gift as you leave. Usually, I've gotten a DVC baseball hat. I've been 3 times. I go if I'm solo, staying at BCV or BWV and if I'm around at the time.

Agree that its not a hard sell.

This is certainly not a "must do", but rather it falls into the category of a nice break from the parks with free refreshments in air conditioned comfort for a while.

nice way to get some snacks and cool off with some corny entertainment.

Are they still doing the presentations at the TOTWL at BLT as well?

We just went to our 1st "Welcome Home Wednesday" yesterday.
Received a nice baseball cap, a calendar, a little appetizer (the chef from portobellos was there) lemonade or water, and a bag of cracker jack or popcorn.
It was corny to say the least & it didn't last long. They didn't try & sell you anything, it felt more like a pep rally for DVC. :dance3:

It is in ATlantic Dance Hall at BWV.

We have been to two. Good prizes if you get picked to be a contestant and some other interesting stuff too. It is really cheesy but hey....you're in Disney.

We only go if we are already at BWV's or BCV's and don't have anything else planned.
