We are leaving tomorrow and staying at BC so we might have time to check this out at the Dance Hall. Has anybody ever gone to one of these? Is it worth our time? The DVC guide says it serves refreshments, can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance!

Yes, I have gone with my family and we did have fun. They do give out cracker jacks and (I believe) lemon aide.

They do give away door prizes and my DH won one. It was a bag filled with goodies. ( blue fleece blanket, 2 coffee mugs with little bags of coffee, car window blinds - all with the DVC logo)

At the end, everyone there received black ball caps with the DVC logo.

If you have not seen much of Disney - this may not be worth your time. There are so many things to do. But we do plan on going back on our visit in January.

Thanks so much for the info! I think I will leave it as a maybe and if we have time kind of thing based on what you said. Might be fun to check it out but won't go out of my way to get there.

We went two weeks ago and they were giving away DVC backpacks/beach bags. They are the thin nylon type that have the drawstring ontop and you can wear as a backpack. They make great bags to take to the pool. (I got one on the cruise in January). It was a nice change from the standard baseball caps that they give you on the way out. WW is pretty much a standard DVC advertisement. It last 1 hour and you get popcorn or crackerjacks and lemonaide/orwater. We go when staying at the boardwalk. The last couple of times it was PACKed. Standing room only and lots of folks on level 2.

the only reason I've gone (twice) is because 1) we were staying at BWV and 2) the kiddos and my husband were napping so I had nothing better to do. I dont think I'd go out of my way to make it if I weren't in the area or busy.

And yes there are refreshments and door prices but there is also an extremely annoying M.C.!!

That is great that you guys won. We were probably there the same day (8/13). Here's the secret for the snacks--there are 2 tables, so just bypass the first one and go to the second one on the other side of the room. We got caught up in the huge line on our first time and realized there was another table on the other side of the room.

Actually it's at the BWV at Atlantic Dance Hall. This is the only location and it starts at 4:00 and last one hour. It's pretty much an infomerical for DVC, but they ease the pain with a freebie at the end. We love freebies so we usually make time to go.

We went on the 6th. The 13th we were moving from the Poly to AKV so we weren't able to make it to that one. I was hoping for a baseball cap. That was my main reason for going!
