I have some very dear friends who have been having a bad year. They will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge in July and I was wondering if it's possible to have something waiting in their room when they arrive. I've seen posts about this sort of thing at the concierge level, but my friends will be in a regular room. Any info?
Thanks,
Lori

There are a couple of places online that you can get things sent to a resort guest

www.disneyflorist.com - I think they are Disney approved, at least I had a brochure one time in my planning kit. It's not just flowers, they do fruit baskets, food and gift baskets and also balloons.

http://www.peggyssweetsandmore.com/ - I personally have used Peggy, and her creations look fabulous (the candy is pretty good too!) It was waiting for us at the front desk when we checked in, it was for my DS4 and he was overjoyed with it, it had more candy in it than he gets in a year! I think she will custom do stuff too.

Those are two that I can think of.

My family sent us a gift from the Walt Disney World florist and if got delivered to our room the first night there (so it wasn't waiting like you asked but I figured I'd tell you about it anyway. I have the phone # for them from the gift card 407-827-3505 (no website info). We got a canvas bag with the Disney logo loaded with all kinds of snacks and cheese and crackers, a bottle of wine and some Mickey wine glasses and a stuffed Minnie doll for each of my DD. I am sure it had to be pretty expensive but I am sure that they have other options available. Just thought I'd let you know.

Typically, you can't have anything waiting in the room because things could change and they might end up with something other than what the room assignor gave them. Sometimes when we've checked in, we've been offered several rooms before making our choice.

Disney florist (yes they are approved) will deliver to the room after they've checked in and I know that Feralpeg will deliver to the resort. Don't know if the front desk will call them and let them know they have a package or if a CM will hand deliver. Might depend on how busy they are.

Sometimes private dining at the resort will have some items available, like the chocolate tuxedo strawberries, or chocolate Mickey. For that, you would call the resort directly and just ask to be transferred to private dining.
