Welcome, Foolish Mortals...to an October 2011 PTR! *Trip Report link is up, pg 71!!*

Umm no, the best cupcake ever would be the Butterfinger one from Starring Rolls! :) But that one sure looks good too. OK, I'm sure they are all delicious. I know I'll be going back there sometime.

That picture of the Headless Horseman...I was just saying the other day to my dad how that's one thing I'm most looking forward to at the party. It is SO cool! :thumbsup2

You always need a second trip in the queue - right?

Your last two full days look like a lot of fun. I think you will love Via Napoli. It's very cute and colorful inside. The food is good and the waiters are "hot". But since you're going with Brandon, just ignore that last comment! :rotfl:

:cool1: to 49 More Days!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your weight gained. Hope you can get to your goal! :thumbsup2

Looks like you have nice plans. I definitely think you should keep to two MNSSHPs. I'm sure once you do it once you'll want to do it again. I've watched tons of videos online and there is so much to do, definitely not something you can do in one night alone (:

For TSM, definitely just hop in the standby line at Rope Drop then grab a Fastpass after, works a lot better than just taking a FP. I've heard during that first FP dash, the line is much shorter.

Everything else seems nicely planned out. I'm not a huge fan of Pizza Planet, but everyone on here seems to like it, so we'll see what you think. 'Ohana and Via Napoli seem to be good choices, always wanted to try them out. That dessert from 'Ohana looks almost too good to be true :goodvibes

Thanks, me too! :thumbsup2

I'm sure we will do 2 MNSSHP's, but my DH seems to think that's crazy, so right now, I'm leaving the option open of NOT doing 2...I really want to see and do everything though, since I have no idea when we will be back in October!

That's a good strategy for TSM, except I'm worried if I do that, our FP return time will be really late in the day, and we'll be at Epcot by then! I don't know...I'll see how horrible it is! :rotfl: If I can do TSM earlier in the week, I might just skip the stampede all together!

I've never been to Pizza Planet, but it looks cute! I'm not expecting it to be fantastic, but I think it seems like an ok counter service option! I was thinking of doing Sci Fi again, but as much as I love it inside, I wasn't really impressed with the actual food there, and I don't feel like wasting an hour eating when I could be playing in the park! :rotfl:

Oh no on gaining .5 pounds - hopefully the hard work will catch up with you and you will have a big loss in the next couple of weeks

Yay on going to DTD and eating at O'hanna!! Hope you guys get to go to a 2nd MNSSHP.

I'm hoping the low crowds will mean TSMM is not as crazy as usual but we shall see...

I am def getting that Carrot Cake and Starring Rolls Cupcake - am drooling just thinking about it!

Lol I've already entered future trip dates onto the system to see how much they come to even though I still haven't been on my first trip!! :lmao:

I'm seriously SO annoyed about gaining weight again! Last week I could accept, but this week, I'm so mad! I really need to get back on track and see how much I can lose in the next 6 weeks!

I think you will be ok with TSM, since the crowds are really low in Sept. but I'm worried about my week, especially the day I picked for rope drop...the friday before Columbus day weekend? Not the best idea, but there's really no where else I could fit it in! My only other option would be the day we are checking in to WL, and I really only wanted to do MNSSHP that day...ugh!!! Not enough time! There's never enough Disney time! :scared1:

I've been reading about all the yummy things in DHS for so long, and have never tried them...it's about time that I do! :thumbsup2

I'm always thinking about my next trip!! I've been playing around with some dates for next year already too! :rotfl:

Day 8 and 9 plans sound super. And I am sitting here drooling over that cupcake. Oh my heaven. :worship:

Sorry about the weight gain. I had been doing reall well...had lost 30 and have put 5 back on), but I'm back in a good routine again and I'm sure you will too!

Thanks! I know, doesn't that cupcake look amazing??? :lovestruc

Wow, losing 30 pounds is great! :goodvibes Putting 5 back on is upsetting, but hopefully we can both get back on track! :thumbsup2 I'm going to have to try some different things this week, I really think I need to do some different kinds of exercise!

This might seem counter intuitive, but if you've been restricting your calories a lot, you may need to increase your calorie intake a little. Especially if you are exercising regularly, your body might need that little extra to keep give it the extra fuel to start the fire burning, so to speak.

Congratulations on upgrading to CSR! We stayed there last time, before it was refurbed. It was okay, but we didn't spend nearly as much time at the resort as we thought we would.

Thanks, that is good advice! :thumbsup2 I've been doing Weight Watchers, but I think I need to find a way to distribute my points differently.

I can't wait to see CSR! I really didn't like the look of the rooms before the refurb, but now I think they are so pretty! :cool1:

No worries about the weight gain. You can still lose the weight. I believe in you! :thumbsup2

I would suggest analyzing what you ate in the weeks you gained that differed from the weeks you lost. The answer will likely be there. Sometimes it's totally random things too.

As for the mad dash at TSM. I don't do the mad dash either. I just calmly walk over, and it normally works out for me. And getting in line rather then Fastpassing it is always a good option to go with too.
It's getting so close!

Thanks! I'm not sure how much I can lose before my trip, but I'm hoping I can lose a good amount!

I eat the same things every day...I think that might be the problem, my body might be bored with everything I'm doing...I eat the same things, do the same exercises...I need to switch things up a little!

Do people really push and shove when trying to get to TSM? I will not be able to deal with that if they do! I would hope the CM's would keep that under control! If I do participate, I'll probably just walk over too! :yay:

First:: CSR is a gorgeous resort and I love it!! The beds are super comfy, the grounds and rooms are wonderful and gorgeous and it feels so relaxing! I think you will definitely like it :)

Secondly:: I am with you on disliking planning final days before the trip has even started. not something I want to think about! LOL

Hope you have a good week and keep up the good work with exercising! Remember that muscle weighs more than fat!!! Keep positive! You can do it!!! :)

CSR looks so beautiful, and the beds look very comfy! I'm going to do a lot of exploring, since I'll only be there for one day!

I know, it's sad thinking about the end of the trip when it hasn't even happened yet! That's why I want to get the last days out of the way on this PTR so I can concentrate on fun things for the next few weeks! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I have some ideas to get this weight loss jump started again this week! :yay: Hopefully they will work!

A carrot cake cookie OR a cupcake from Starring Rolls? I don't think I could choose... get both! :thumbsup2

I'm with you on the stampede for TSM FPs. You'd think by now the hysteria over the ride would've died down! :confused3 I mean, I love the ride, but it irks me that if you don't get there 1st thing to ride and/or get a FP, then you can forget about riding it at all. Oh, well.

LOL it's going to be a tough choice! I might have to get one earlier in the trip, and then the other one on the last day! :rotfl:

I just wish they could figure out a better way to distribute FP's for TSM. Or that the popularity would die down a little. It's just too crazy. :sad2: I'm hoping I can catch it earlier in the week and just go through the standby line. I'll wait up to maybe 40 minutes for that ride, and that's it! 40 minutes for a line is usually my limit!

Count me in! I arrive the day you leave. I arrive on Oct9th, so I want to know EVERYTHING about your trip, especially F&W and MNSSHP :goodvibes

Are you planning to report while you are on vacation? Maybe twittering if you can't reach computer internet connection? :goodvibes

Welcome! I can't wait for F&W, it's so much fun! :yay:

I'm not on twitter, so I won't be doing that, but I do post things on FB while I'm there, if you're on FB, PM me and I'll send you my name so you can friend me if you want! :thumbsup2

Sounds like awesome plans, lots of park hopping again :thumbsup2 I think if we had the extra time and cash we would probably do two parties. I am so paranoid we are not going to get to everything we want to in just one :confused3

I have been great about working out, but not eating right at all, so no weight loss for me, we have like 8 weeks til my trip so my goal is 10lbs...who knows!!

I can't wait to see what you think of Via Napoli...I have never had a meal in Italy at EPCOT before and that place looks good :goodvibes

I'm paranoid about not getting to do everything in one party too, but...I'm not too thrilled about paying almost $250 for 2 parties! So we'll see what happens with that! :confused3

It's hard to combine working out with eating right! :goodvibes Sometimes I only do one or the other, and then wonder why I haven't lost any weight...for me, I have to do both or I don't lose. It's so unfair! :rotfl: I think you can definitely lose 10 pounds in 8 weeks! :thumbsup2 I'm hoping to lose 10 in 6 weeks!

I'm so excited for Via Napoli! I'm just sad it's on our last day! :sad1:

Umm no, the best cupcake ever would be the Butterfinger one from Starring Rolls! :) But that one sure looks good too. OK, I'm sure they are all delicious. I know I'll be going back there sometime.

That picture of the Headless Horseman...I was just saying the other day to my dad how that's one thing I'm most looking forward to at the party. It is SO cool! :thumbsup2

LOL, I want to try the Butterfinger cupcake too, I just didn't put a picture of it up! :rotfl: Maybe I'll make Brandon get that one and I'll get the other one and that way I can try both!

I can't wait to see the Halloween parade and the Headless Horseman! Do you know where the best place to stand to see him is? We usually watch parades in Fronteirland, but I think I'd like to be near Main Street for this one!

OMG, where are those from, did you make them??? :scared1:

Plans look great :thumbsup2 Not long now :)

Thanks! Not too long, but still...6 more weeks!!! It seems like a long time, and time is really starting to drag now, especially at work! :sad2: :rotfl:

:cool1: to 49 More Days!!!!!!!!

I always need to know when I'll be back at Disney! I'm still hoping for a quick December trip, but I can't get Brandon to give me a definite yes or no answer...I feel like if I bother him enough he will say yes, but I haven't wanted to bring it up lately! :rotfl:

I think I'm going to love VN too! LOL, if I see any hot waiters, I'll just keep that to myself! :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

39 DAYS!!! Not 49!!!! You're killing me over here, I'd be going crazy if I still had 49 days left!!!  :rotfl:

That sounds like a good plan! :thumbsup2

When we went to the party in 2006 we were on Main Street. I can't remember though if we watched the first parade or second. I know for MVMCP we did the 2nd parade. I think after the first one, a lot of people (especially with younger kids) start heading out. So, I'm planning on being on Main Street! That didn't really answer your question but hopefully it helped a little.

I completely missed the CSR announcement. That is so exciting! I think you will love it. It is such a pretty resort! We stayed there right before they did the refurb and I would love to go back to stay in the new rooms. They look so deluxe! :thumbsup2

Don't beat yourself up too much about the .5 lb gain - you still have 6 weeks! I think you can definitely lose another 10-12 lbs. :goodvibes

That picture of the Poly is making me want to go back right now! It definitely has a great pool and beach area for some drinks and relaxing. The strawberry dacquris there are really good if you like that kind of drink. :thumbsup2

It is so sad to have to talk about the end of a trip before it even begins, but I am right there with you - I must have another trip to look forward to as soon as one ends. I actually started planning our next trip while waiting in line for Kilamanjaro Safari on the honeymoon! :lmao: It makes leaving a little more bearable, though. ;)

OK Jen, there are 46 weeks left until my trip and I calculated today that I need to lose a pound a week, every week, to meet my goal before our trip in July.

I have a membership to the gym here at my job so I decided that I'm going to start going back this week on my lunch break. Of course, I messed up today already because I didn't have time to make lunch this morning...therefore I had to use my lunch break to go get food.

But tomorrow, I'm back to bringing lunch every day so I can eat around noon, and then go down and use the gym on my actual lunch time. 1 pound a week should be MORE than manageable but I'm like you - I have to eat right AND workout or else I just stay the same. And I've been bored with my stationary bike so I'm going to try and mix things up!

We can do it!!!

If we are doing 2 parties, I'm probably going to watch the 2nd parade, since if we miss anything, we can watch it again at the next party! If we don't, I'm going to try to do both in one night! I need to find a good spot though, and I'm prepared to claim my spot really early so I get a good view of the HH! :cool1:

:lmao: I made them for an event I went to last night :) The cupcakes themselves are from a box mix, but the frosting's from scratch.

Yum, they look good! I'm really awful at making frosting from scratch for some reason! I can make a cake, no problem, but the frosting always tastes weird! :rotfl:

I can't wait to see CSR in person, I've been drooling over pictures of it forever, and the more I look at it, the more I like it! I think it's definitely going to become my favorite mod after this!

Thanks! I hope I can lose at least 10 pounds by our trip, if not more! I took 2 walks today already, and when Brandon gets home I might make him go for a 3rd with me on the beach later! I also need to do some strength training and crunches, start toning myself up! :yay:

LOL...all of the Disney pictures I look at lately are making me so SO anxious for this trip!!! I seriously don't know how I'm going to make it the next few weeks, I just want to gooooo!!! I love strawberry daquiris, I will keep that in mind when we are at the Poly! I already know I'm getting a Lapu Lapu at 'Ohana again! :thumbsup2

I've been planning our next trip forever, except I can't decide when we should actually go-I want to go for our anniversary in May, but I'm thinking we might do a cruise, so if we do that, I'm thinking I might be able to talk Brandon into a few days next December IF I promise to keep it really, really cheap! It all depends, I haven't really brought it up to him yet, I'm going to wait til we're there, he's much more agreeable to future trips when we're there and he remembers how fun Disney is! :yay:

Yay, a pound a week is definitely do-able! :thumbsup2 Some weeks you will probably lose more, and some weeks you might not lose at all, so it should even out!

I keep thinking I should join a gym when Brandon goes back to work at night next week, but I seriously hate going to the gym. And I feel like it's a waste of money, since I have an elliptical in my house! I hate the elliptical, though! I used to love it sooooo much, and now...can't stand it! :rotfl:

I have to mix things up too, as much as I hate my elliptical, I need to add that in a few days a week along with my walking on my lunch breaks...I also need to do some kind of exercise DVD and some light weights (another thing I hate doing! :scared1:). I think my body is getting bored with walking for exercise all the time, I need to push myself a little harder now!

We can definitely do it! :goodvibes

The first year that we went to MNSSHP, we only did one party and we all wished we did it twice. In 2010, we did it three times  It's SO much fun, it's totally worth the money to me.

And ITA with all of your work-out-woes! I used to do the treadmill all the time and got bored with it, now I've got my stationary bike and I used to use it all the time and now I use it as a hanger for my purse :rotfl2: So tomorrow it will be the treadmill, then Thursday it will be the bike and I'll just keep alternating them. Eventually, I have to start doing some push ups or something to get my arms toned up!

I'm like, 90% sure we're going to do 2 parties, I probably won't buy my tickets until closer to our trip, though. Actually, I'm going to do a quick update about that in a minute! :rotfl:

LOL, my elliptical is a hanger for Brandon's clothes! :rotfl: I'm going to try to do it tonight for a little while, but...I'm not feeling especially motivated right now, I might just do weights instead! I hate push ups! I have to do something for my arms too! :scared1:

Did you feel the earthquake today? Scary!!

You can buy the tickets the day of. As long as it's not ON Halloween or the day or two before, you'll be fine.

I'm definitely biking tonight...i have to at least lose my 1 pound for this week! LOL I don't mind push ups, i just never do them because i'm lazy!

and no, we didn't feel it here, but apparently the buidling up the street from us did because they closed. it seems that it was pretty sproradic...my mom lives in NC though and she got rocked pretty good

Quick Little Update!

Hi everyone!

This isn't much of an update at all, actually, it's kind of pointless...:rolleyes1 But I had to share my excitement, I FINALLY bought our tickets to our first Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party! :woohoo: :yay:  I've been meaning to do it for a while, so finally last night, I just bought them! :thumbsup2

Seriously cannot WAIT to go on this trip and go to MNSSHP!!! I think we're going to do 2 parties, but I'm going to wait until maybe a week before to buy the tickets to the 2nd party...although, since it's right before Columbus Day weekend, I might buy them a little sooner, just to be safe!

I can't wait to see Hallowishes! 37 more days!!!! :dance3:
