I have seen those heavyweight paper or cardboard boxes (maybe called cathedral style?) that you would put a boxed lunch in (with the handle on top and the flaps that fold from the ends over the ends of the top of the handle.) I thought those might be nice for welcome boxes, but the fewest I've seen we could order at once is 100. Has anyone found a place to order 25 or so? If not, does anyone else need some and want to split an order?

OMG!!! I just noticed my ticker!!!!! :scared1:

ETA: Okay, I just found out they are called "GABLE BOXES". Has anyone used them for welcome boxes?

We used gable boxes for our welcome boxes. I ordered them from a seller on eBay. Here is what they looked like:

Jaclyn -- I am so glad you posted! I knew I remembered someone here had done them and that they were beautifully decorated with layered ribbons and a label. If you can remember the approximate unit cost for the boxes and who the seller was, may I impose on you to PM me? The ones I saw in bulk were about $0.72 each, but the ones I saw on ebay were about a dollar more than that each ~$1.50, IIRC. I'd LOVE to be able to use these and to do it in an affordable way. Thank you!

Oh, I really like this idea! I think I will have to do these!

I was just wondering how you ship all the boxes to Disney and about how much it would cost. I am only doing about 15 boxes, but I'm just curious what everyone else did with their boxes/bags. Also, what do you put on the boxes so they get delivered to the correct rooms?

I'm not sure about the cost of shipping since we only live 2 hours away.

In order to get them to the rooms, you must have the guest's name that the reservation is under and their confirmation number. The little Mickey tags hanging from our's contained that information. I'll have to look for a pic since the box I posted was for someone not staying in a resort.
